she comes from the same factory as prototype. she served kinda the same purpose as a herding dog; keep outsiders Out and the factory robots In

after the company that made her shut down, she continued her duties and kept the other robots in the facility. her coding degraded over time, and she stopped being able to differentiate between factory robots and robots Not made by the factory.

she ended up attacking and destroying most other robots in the factory (aside from prototype), before leaving to blow up every other robot Ever.

when entering the elevator, she shoots a beam from her right arm at any robots, exploding them. if any robots enter the elevator while she is in there, they can either Run away, or be blown up at the door by huntron

I finished reading Outline by Rachel Cusk yesterday after a 4 year hiatus and it reminded me why i put it down in the first place... a novel of such vanity, a novel that makes you hate writers, that makes you love novels but not this one. A novel that doesn’t seem aware of its bitterness. A novel that stretches convention but then is so completely annoying about it that i can't even appreciate it. It’s a novel that suggests futility. I feel very cold now. I despair for women and pity-resent men, but not genuinely, more like the feelings were manipulated from me. Multiple times in the process of reading I swore I would never marry or have kids. I hate myself for being someone's child. Marriage seems a sick game. One might wonder why anyone ever bothers talking to anyone else ever, let alone entering relationships. It has good moments but I read it the whole time with a slight grimace. The taste it left was just so bad. And there's two more books in the trilogy somehow. How many more pages does Rachel Cusk require to give us woman’s magazine black-pill wisdom?

For once the goodreads reviews are apt. One said, “I gave it four stars. What does that mean? Nothing. I hated it and loved it. Full of wisdom and completely meaningless. Irritating and boring, but a page-turner.” Which I agree with except I think you can get the wisdom for free on r/askwomen and use that time to rewatch the lord of the rings trilogy instead

i remember once years ago reading a tumblr post that was like behaviours that count as child abuse (emotional physical psychological etc) and reading down it i was like damn my parents do a lot of these!! but specifically when one of the physical abuse ones was charging at you or pretending like they're going to throw something at you or attack you etc i was like huhh 🤔 another one was like. Staring at you with actual hatred in their eyes or saying your name like that and i was like. HUH 🤔🤔🤔

I just think shows like Grey's Anatomy, where a lot of their drama comes from sex and romance, are missing the comedic potential of including an aroace character. Just imagine after seasons of characters being constantly horny, there's a character who's just like "no thanks."

I could see this going two ways. A one-episode character, whose probably a patient and happens to mention they're aroace, causing the doctors incredible confusion, and knowing them, they're probably going to ask invasive questions or talk behind the aroace character's back before learning to accept them. I feel like Meridith or Cristina would think they were lucky. Alex or Mark would be the one asking invasive questions. Izzy would probably think they're sad. But I just want the doctors' assumptions and thoughts about sex/romance to be challenged.

The second way I could see this going is a reoccuring character who is used to contrast the rest of the cast. One version of this is that this character is in the closet, and becomes friends with the main characters. So the main characters would ask questions about their sex/love life, and the aroace character would be like, "Yes, I've had all the sex, lots and lots of the sex." And try to get away as quickly as possible. Another version would be if they were open about it, and they'd see the messes the main characters sex/love lives would be, and are like "Thank god I'm immune."

agreed! I am collecting links & photos for giving support to Palestine that I will post later today, but that doesn't make anyone a less shitty person. It's a basic human decency that she seems to have only when it comes to a genocide, but not when she is bullying people and telling them to kill themselves over petty, unimportant things, yet she is sensitive to people dying apparently. When you own a platform, you own a responsibility. You can't go around and tell your followers to bully people or be mean towards them simply because you are jealous and insecure. It breaks my heart that she made people leave, that her followers pushed them into leaving on top of it. To send hate asks, leave mean and unnecessary comments - all of it is her doing. She plays a victim because she can't own up to the fact that she is a bullshit person who has nothing besides following on here and is so desperately insecure that she has to mention "taking care of her business and going on a vacation".... well go? Nobody cares and that was never the point. The point was that she ruined everything people were building up for a long time out of simple jealousy and individuality complex

You know what pisses me off? Girls are getting objectified so young for their whole life. For example, today, my little sister was wearing lipstick. She's in 3rd grade. On the bus, some random kid shouted at her "Hey, Lipstick! Are you wearing that for a special someone?" And my sister's face fell right away. I didn't know what to do because I was getting of the bus, but what the hell man? She obviously felt good about wearing the lipstick, and some random kid just assumed she was wearing it 'for someone' when she's in 3RD GRADE
