Day 1: 8/15/20

Let’s just start off by saying today was NOT my day! AT ALL! annyyyywayyyyss.. I just started back at work yesterday from having some time off (because that place was making me insane NOT because I had a wonderful out of state vacation planned(that’s a story for another time)

I went to work at 7am this morning which means that I had to be up at 6:15 the latest because my ass LOVESSSSS to 😴!so I get to work and everything was fine drank my first cup of coffee got yelled at by one of my callers all within the first half hour of my shift which is the usual for me. Got yelled at by some more people because they are mad at me (the one answering the phone) because they don’t have their covid results back and I need to give it to them right that second... but that is always happening at my job. I’ll get into that in another post. soo the day went on and it was fine no biggy. It’s when I got in my house that my issue really started. Both of my dogs knocked a bowl off of the counter and broke it.. my fiancé freaks out starts yelling and mind you I just worked a 12 hour shift I’m not trying to hear shit! Yelling and slamming of doors and blah blah blah. And all of a sudden I have just had enough and started to yell. All of this over something so small in the means of everything going on right now. But I cleaned it up and I kept it moving.

Things always are better after a nice looonnng cry in the shower. Being frustrated is just not my thing. I suffer from major anxiety and the yelling made me super anxious and I HATE it. I just really don’t know how to control that anxiety in me and it ends up turning into the gasping for air crying my eyes out ordeal and that can’t be healthy.

Idk if anyone would ever read this but you know what it helped me out just by typing this up and putting it out there!

As you know I've had a few surgeries the last year and a half. The most major being just this year. So I've been recovering! 

Pretty well I might add. Most all of recovery has had to be on my own and at home due to the pandemic and being high risk. It's currently 85 days in isolation. I'm handling it much better than my favorite extravert, the Tweedledee. My little @littlestbookdragon. Poor kid.

So after all this time... I'm so very excited to be healed enough to go out on my own again! Well, alone with my service dog, medical alert bracelet, and family geotracking me. 😂 I'm still calling it a win. This is just normal life for someone with neuro issues. I can't ever be fully alone, but that's ok. I've found ways to keep my freedom while still being responsible. (Read: not so damn stubborn)

So here are some pics of our first hike of the season. I'm so proud of myself. I'm still walking some pretty challenging terrain, but I've cut the miles back considerably. I didn't realize exactly how much I've missed this. This is my meditation. My body needs it.

I love these trails. One day I'll be able to walk them all again. 😍 ❤️
