ik my commissions are closed & i already complain abt money a lot as is. but i’m just. not having a great time rn (-> bad holiday moods + im just not feeling good & we have like. no food atm; nor did we meet any requirements for christmas food boxes & the like)

i won’t be doing selfship comms like i normally do, bc our phones will but cut off on the 27th & there’s a lot of doubt that my wifi will be stable. so i can’t do anything that requires frequent updates. but i can do some single character f/o pieces, if anyone’s interested. (oc f/os or canon ones idrc)

dw about the prices on my kofi bc for these i’m dropping prices way down, bc christmas is tomorrow & ik people are holding their money for more important things. i just needed smth rn— bc job hunting is failing & i don’t really have anything else to do.

i can’t give updates for these (-> see above), so i’m asking you to trust me that it’ll be done. (i’ll likely finish them quickly. i just can’t send them till the 3rd when the wifi bill is paid);; there’s no limit, i’ll just leave these open until sometime tomorrow.

the saddest part about stranger things is that it seems like the kids have been through so many traumatic experiences together that they don’t know how to be good friends to each other when their lives and/or the fate of the world don’t hang in the balance. like “I’ll follow you into hell without a second thought” is great but they almost don’t know how to show their care and loyalty and support when they don’t have those scenarios. this is thinking about Will in season 3 (I understand the growing up plot line but they blow him off hardcore) and Lucas in season 4 (“wanting to be cool” aside it was heartbreaking watching him beg his friends to come cheer for him) specifically but also like. Where were the letters between Max and El? Do Lucas and Dustin stay in contact with Will or El? We see Lucas’s concern for Max, but what about Dustin’s? Mike’s? They’re also her friends. And Will isn’t wrong to be upset that mike didn’t stay in touch with him as well as El! It’s all just so sad because they obviously all love each other, they would risk their lives to protect each other in a heartbeat! But their childhoods have been so insane that those experiences have become the thing that ties them together, more than common interests or fun memories or the things that SHOULD bring kids together… and like those small moments of genuine childhood friendship are so beautiful to see, like the boys playing d&d?? max and el playing dress up?? mike and lucas goofing off in the basement while el and max spy on them?? but they’re so few and far between. anyway. idk where I’m going with this I just wish we could’ve had a scene of the party cheering lucas on at his game or will being included in a d&d club or el and dustin having a goofy phone call. I just hate that they haven’t had the chance to develop the normal social skills in between horrible dangerous traumatic events
