TW: dark themes (drugs, alcoholism, cults, gangs).

This challenge is (loosely) inspired by some of my favorite Lana songs. It also draws inspiration from other challenges, such as Not So Berry, Rags to Riches, Asylum, Crybaby Whims, etc.

Required Mods: Basemental Drugs, Basemental Gangs or Extreme Violence, Zerbu’s Venue Changes.

Suggested Mods: Deaderpool’s MC Command Center, Wonderful Whims (attraction system), Simsmodelsimmer’s Realistic Reactions Cheating Overhaul, Hybrid Through Gameplay (for occult hybrids), UI Cheats (very helpful to deal with bugs), LittleMsSam’s More Wood Works (for gen 8).

Required packs: Get Famous, City Living, Get Together, Discover University, Get to Work, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Island Living, Strangerville, Realm of Magic, Vampires, Dream Home Decorator, Werewolves, Paranormal Stuff.

Suggested packs: High School Years (Gen 2 and 3 traits), Eco Lifestyle (Gen 2 and 8), Spa Day (Gen 1 trait) Tiny Living (Gen 6), Nifty Knitting (more crafts for Gen 8).

General rules:

Turn neighborhood stories off.

Aging must be set to normal or slow.

Hard mode: start each generation with 0 simoleons and build each home and required lot by yourself.

Each generation must max out the designated skills and reach the top level of their career.

If an heir dies, you may revive them or continue the challenge with a next of kin.

You’re free to control the sims in your household who aren’t your heir or related to your heir. They can also be completely autonomous.

For gen 3, you're allowed to live on-campus in university and then move to San Myshuno.

Gen 1: Money, Power, Glory

Career: Actor

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Skill: Acting

Traits: Materialistic, Self-Assured, High Maintenance (or Self-Absorbed).

Home: Empty lot in Del Sol Valley

Lot challenge/trait: Penny Pixies

You’re the only child of a homeless, deadbeat parent who spends every simoleon that falls into their hands on dope and booze. This has instilled in you the determination to not only get off the streets, but also become rich and famous when you’re older. Slowly but surely, you make enough money to build a small home that one day will transform into a luxurious mansion, or at least one can dream. You grow up to be quite the looker and charmer, not to mention talented, so your goal of making it big on the silver screen is finally within reach. You catch the eye of a famous big shot you end up having more than a fling with, resulting in an pregnancy. But as infatuated as you are with your baby daddy/momma, your eyes are always on the prize first and foremost. You’ve heard the name of the latest lottery winner and can’t get it out of your mind.

Rules:

- Start out with 0 simoleons as a child, living with an unemployed, single, drug addicted or alcoholic parent. - Survive off of fishing, hunting for collectibles, or doing any activity you can do as a child and teenager to make money. - As an adult, join the acting career. - Buy the Beguiling reward trait. - Work towards affording a mansion and gradually upgrade plumbing, appliances, electronics, and comfort items. - Seduce a famous sim and have a child with them. - Marry a lottery winner for their money.

Gen 2: Video Games

Career: Videogame Streamer (or eSport Gamer)

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

Skill: Beer Brewing (Juice Fizzing) or Mixology

Traits: Geek, Socially awkward (or Clumsy), Overachiever (or Ambitious).

Home: Influencer house in San Myshuno

Lot challenge/trait: Celebrity Home

Despite having been born with a silver spoon in your mouth and not needing to work a day in your life to survive, you don’t just want to lay around in your pajamas all day playing video games… not unless that could be an actual career, and luckily for you, it can be. Other nepobabies don’t have your drive, your quick fingers, your passion for gaming and social media. You want to prove the world that you’re more than your last name and vast inheritance, so you move into a so-called content house in San Myshuno and throw yourself completely into your career as a professional gamer and influencer. Unfortunately, your new lifestyle has proven to be more psychologically taxing than it has any right to be. The influencers you’re currently living and collaborating with do nothing but cause drama, and you’ve found yourself in deep waters when C-Fuel, the Cowplant based energy drink company that has been sponsoring you, comes under fire for poisoning consumers, roping you into a huge scandal and subsequent cancelation. As a result, your beer brewing hobby turns into a coping mechanism and you become addicted to alcohol to deal with the stress. When an unplanned pregnancy turns your life upside down, you finally decide it’s time to go to rehab.

Rules:

- Move into a mansion or penthouse in San Myshuno and live along 6 famous sims, all in the Internet Personality, Style Influencer, and eSport Gamer careers. - Become addicted to alcohol. - Have a child with one of your housemates. - Go to rehab and create an A.A. group.

Gen 3: Body Electric

Career: Scientist

Aspiration: Party Planner

Skill: DJ Mixing

Traits: Dance Machine, Genius, Party Animal (or Clubber)

Home: Unfurnished apartment in San Myshuno

Lot challenge/trait: Party Place

Even as a teen, all you wanted to do was sneak out and party. You know your parents are disappointed in your party animal ways, considering they did everything in their power to give you a normal upbringing despite their unconventional lifestyle as influencers. They don’t want you to waste your potential, you’re a gifted kid after all, who effortlessly got straight As throughout school. So, they decide on your behalf that you put your hefty scholarship to good use and study to become a scientist. Little did they know college was the sure way to make you unleash the party beast within in its final form. You party harder than ever, doing drugs, hooking up, dancing the night away in the pale moonlight. You’re living like Jim Morrison, right until a happy accident comes your way: you and your dealer are expecting a child. After graduating, you decide it’s time to settle down and become an adult… well, sort of. You may have a stable job and your own apartment now, not to mention a kid, but maybe that doesn’t mean the party needs to stop. Will you eventually change your ways and go to rehab? That depends on how bad your addiction gets.

Rules:

- Go to university and major in Physics. - Become a drug addict. - Have a child with a drug dealer. - After graduating, join the Scientist career, move into an empty apartment in San Myshuno and furnish it using the SimRay to transform random items into furniture and decor. You’re allowed to buy the essentials. - Turn the lot in Sixam into a rave location.

Gen 4: Sad Girl

Career: Paranormal Investigator

Aspiration: Soulmate

Skill: Medium

Traits: Gloomy, Child Of The Ocean, Child Of The Islands

Home: Admiral Wreckage in Sulani (the ship must remain on the lot).

Lot challenge/trait: Off-the-grid

Growing up in a noisy, smoke filled environment around your parents’ sketchy friends in crowded San Myshuno made you crave quietness and a connection with nature. You’re a sensitive person, naturally spiritual and intuitive, which might be the reason why you live with a dark cloud over your head. Many things make you sad: fishing (it’s not ok to eat fish! They do have feelings!), not honoring the islands of Sulani, your new home, and being your significant other’s lover on the side. It almost seems like you were born to be the other woman or man, until an unusual new opportunity for love presents itself when you, as a professional paranormal investigator with the gift of communicating with the dead, meet and fall in love with one of the Sulani island elementals. Your feelings are requited, and you two get married and start a new life… literally, since your ghost spouse has decided to come back from the dead just for you. They've got the fire, and they walk with it. Maybe this is the soulmate relationship you've always longed for.

Rules:

- Have a failed relationship with a married sim.- Eat the mermadic kelp and become a mermaid. - Seduce one of the island elementals and complete the Soulmate aspiration with them. - Build or download a beach wedding venue. - Marry your island elemental and have a child with them. - Complete on of the two Sulani collections: Seashells or Buried Treasures.

Gen 5: Freak

Career: None

Aspiration: Leader Of The Pack

Skill: Charisma

Traits: Evil, Insider, Erratic.

Home: Cult compound in Strangerville

Lot challenge/trait: Cursed

You always knew you were special. You can summon volcanic bombs and increase the quality of plants with your mind. You’re pretty sure you were born to rule the world, or at least that’s what the voices in your head have been telling you. You’ve also heard stories of a place called Strangerville, where a bizarre fruit that weakens the minds of those who eat it grows. You need to get your hands on one of those plants, so you move to the mysterious town in the middle of nowhere and start your own congregation. Finding a small group of obedient followers was pretty easy, especially after tricking them into eating your special fruit. Soon enough, the entirety of Strangerville will be yours. Your only concern is that, after you die, no one will carry on with your legacy, so you and your favorite disciple decide to have an heir. Will your child eat the bizarre fruit and make you proud? Or will they leave the empire they were supposed to rule in the dust?

Rules:

- Form a cult using the create a club feature and add 6 members. One of the activities must be stealing. - None of the members of the domestic unit are allowed to have jobs. You must steal for a living. - Build or download a cult compound in Strangerville and move in with your cult. - Feed each cult follower the bizarre fruit. - Infect every sim living in Strangerville. - Have a child with one of your cult members. This will be the eighth member of your club. - Each weekend, take your cult on a field trip or mini vacation and start a club gathering. - Become a sworn enemy of your child.

Gen 6: Groupie Love

Career: Musician

Aspiration: Musical Genius

Skill: Music instrument of your choice.

Traits: Childish, Music Lover, Noncommittal

Home: Tiny Home in Windenburg’s Ancient Ruins

Lot challenge/trait: Small home (max. 100 tiles)

Growing up in a compound full of possessed people with an evil cult leader as a parent is an experience that would scar any young mind, and yours was no exception. You are certain that your parent plans to feed you the bizarre fruit, so as soon as you become a teen, you pack your few possessions and flee to Windenburg, where you find a hidden place to live by the ruins. You need money to survive, and you need to build a proper home, so you start playing music in bars and other public spaces hoping to get donations, and writing your own songs. Music has always been your passion and you’re naturally gifted at it; it’s only a matter of time before other people notice your talent and you start gaining fame and fans. Drunk on the love and attention you’re receiving, you get a little too close and personal with your newfound groupies. You never meant to have seven kids with them, but hey, it’s not your fault you’re so darn fertile, apparently. You might be a little emotionally stunted due to your upbringing, and perhaps committing to just one partner is not the life for you, but one thing is for sure: you will raise your seven children with all the love in the world in your tiny home by the ruins.

Rules:

- As a runaway teen, quit the cult club and move to the Windenburg’s Ancient Ruins lot using the Venue Changes mod. - Change your money to 0 simoleons. - Make money by playing music in public venues, writing and publishing songs, and joining the Musician career as an adult. - Build or download a small home. - Become a proper celebrity. - Form a fan club using the create a club feature. - Have 7 children, all with different members of your fan club. - Raise the children by yourself in your domestic unit.

Gen 7: Blue Jeans

Career: Criminal

Aspiration: Public Enemy

Skill: Mischief

Traits: Hot-Headed, Ambitious, Kleptomaniac.

Home: Abandoned factory in Moonwood Mill

Lot challenge/trait: Filthy

Some say you were born bad, and you’re inclined to agree. You didn’t exactly choose the ganster life, but it certainly did choose you. You’re tough, and you have big dreams, bigger than your parent’s tiny house, so you start living in the streets by yourself as a young adult. There’s an abandoned factory in Moonwood Mill that becomes your gang’s operation center. Despite it never being one of your priorities, love comes knocking at your door in the form of a rich, posh sim whose parents are in the political career. Due to your bad reputation, you’re not allowed to be seen with them in public, until the two of you finally elope together and you realize that maybe you’re not the only reason why your partner’s parents were ashamed of them: they’re a werewolf! They’re an outcast, much like yourself. You two have a baby, and that’s when your partner starts insisting that you quit your gang and the criminal career for your child’s sake. You know they’re right, it’s bad for a young mind to see the things you’ve seen. Sadly, this is the only life you know, and if it’s not good enough for your family, then you’re just not good enough for them. It’s time to leave and start your life over…

Rules:

- Build or download an abandoned factory, or repurpose Moonwood Mill's library. - Max out a drug dealing skill. - Form a gang. - Furnish and decorate your home with stolen items. You’re only allowed to buy items that can’t be stolen (plumbing items, beds, rugs, etc.). - Date a werewolf and elope with them. - Have a baby. - Move away from your partner and child and either start a new life or return to them once you’ve reached level 10 of the criminal career and are allowed to quit.

Gen 8: Chemtrails Over The Country Club

Career: None

Aspiration: Emissary Of The Collective or Wildfang Renegade

Skill: Fabrication or Handiness

Traits: Cat Lover, Dog Lover, Loner

Home: Tree house in Moonwood Mill

Lot challenge/traits: Cat hangout, Dog Hangout.

Being abandoned by your gangster parent as a child really killed your faith in humanity, hence your love for animals that also extends to the beast within yourself. You build a little tree house with your own hands in that particular spot in town that mysteriously attracts all kinds of stray dogs and cats that you love to feed and play with, and some of them become your beloved fur babies. As a werewolf (or someone who aspires to be one), your dream has always been to honor your lycanthropic ancestry by joining one of the local packs and becoming the alpha. Despite the tension between the Moonwood Collective and the Wildfangs, you find your fated mate in the rival alpha. The two of you elope in secret and have a baby. Maybe this will mark a new era of peace and communion between the packs, but that depends on how willing your packmates are to cooperate.

Rules:

- Live with as few sims as you can, the rest of your domestic unit members must be pets. - Craft most of the items in your home using mainly the fabricator and the woodwork table. - Sell crafts and collectibles for a living. - Become an Apex werewolf. - Become the alpha of one of the packs and marry the alpha of the opposite pack (remember that the first werewolf you successfully flirt with will become your fated mate). - Have a child. - Complete the Moonwood Relics collection.

Gen 9: Wildflower Wildfire

Career: None (selling flower arrangements)

Aspiration: Purveyor of Potions

Skill: Flower Arranging

Traits: Romantic, Jealous, Family-Oriented

Home: Abandoned house in Glimmerbrook

Lot challenge/trait: Haunted House Residential

If your werewolf community knew about you plan to betray them by becoming a part of the traitor class of spellcasters, they’d probably kick you out, but they’ll never get the chance to do that if you leave first. There’s a boarding school for teenage wizards in Glimmerbrook you’re interested in joining, so one night you sneak out and pay a visit to the principal, who is kind enough to transform you into a spellcaster and welcome you into the school. Your parents aren’t exactly thrilled with your decision, but they want you to be happy, so they support your choice.

Much to your dismay, your new housemates are not what you expected. They know about your lycanthropic origins and bully you relentlessly for them. One day, you’ve had enough and set part of the school on fire using magic right before moving out into a haunted abandoned house you'd discovered some time ago while exploring Glimmerbrook. There is an old flower arranging table in the garden and you decide to put your fascination with botany to the test by learning to make flower bouquets and selling them for a living.

One day, a particularly attractive sim catches your eye, and since your alchemy skills are on point, you don’t think twice before luring them in using potions. You never considered that their personality traits completely clash with yours. Do opposites attract, or is love not the kind of magic that should be messed with? Regardless, there’s already a baby on the way, and you’ve been alone for so long, running on stardust and sheer willpower. You’re better with your new darling. It’s strange, but it’s true.

Rules:

- If your heir is a werewolf, find the cure for lycanthropy. - Build or download a residential boarding school equipped with items from the Realm of Magic pack, especially cauldrons. - Create a domestic unit consisting of 6 spellcaster teens with the Mean trait, a Virtuoso spellcaster with the Natural Mentor perk as the school principal, and your teenage heir. - Become a spellcaster. - When the heir becomes a young adult, use the Inferniate spell to set the school on fire and move out of the domestic unit. - Build or download an abandoned haunted house with a flower arranging table and move your heir there. - Become a Virtuoso and learn all the mischief spells. - Own a flower shop or street stall and sell flower arrangements for a living. - Use the Potion of the Transcendent Charmer and the Potion of Alluring Aura to attract an Unflirty, Noncommittal, Hates Children partner. - Have a child with that partner.

Gen 10: Young And Beautiful

Career: Interior Decorator

Aspiration: Vampire Family

Skill: Painting

Traits: Snob, Creative, Art Lover

Home: Vlad’s Castle in Forgotten Hollow

Lot challenge/trait: Spooky

As a result of growing up in a haunted house full of pools of ghost goo and weird markings on the floors, you have a passion for decoration and home renovation. From a young age, you started watching the home decorator channel and learning how to paint so you could beautify your surroundings with art. The way your parent’s flower arrangements decay over time makes you sad. Why can’t beauty last forever? Why are most living things destined to die? You’ve met plenty of ghosts in your time, and they aren’t exactly aspirational. However, there is a type of occult you could praise and enthuse about all day long: vampires! They’re cool, they’re powerful, and most importantly, they’re immortal. So, when the opportunity to drink the ancient blood of a vampire arises, you take it without hesitation.

As overjoyed as you are with your transformation, you’re keenly aware that eternity will eventually get lonely. You want a family that will never leave your side in the mortal coil of existence. You love your job as a home decorator, you’re superb at it, and your clientele idolizes you, so why not preserve a few of your admirers for posterity by feeding them the sweet elixir cursing through your veins?

Now that you’re forever young and beautiful (you’ve made sure to treat yourself to a tweak or two under the knife), have seen the world, have done it all, and had your cake, your life couldn’t be more perfect. Yet, you still feel lonely. You start seeing someone you’re convinced is your soulmate in every aspect except two: their taste in décor is awful, and what’s worse, they don’t fancy immortality. In fact, they’re afraid of most vampires. Even though it breaks your heart, you have no choice but to respect their wishes and love them util they’re dead and got nothing but their aching soul.

Rules:

- If your heir is a spellcaster, ask for the Rite of Dissolution. - Become a vampire and unlock the vampire creation perk. - Marry a mortal with opposite tastes in decor. You’re not allowed to turn them into a vampire. - Complete the Vampire Family aspiration by turning your clients. - Get plastic surgery by altering your sim’s features in CAS using the cas.fulleditmode cheat every time they get a promotion. Their dark form must remain unaltered. - Move into Vlad’s castle and redecorate it in a completely different style. - When your beloved dies, re-marry their ghost.

I'm so curious about your personal Bob x Diego lore. Like, I can't stop thinking about it. Their dynamics, sexualities, and what they end up doing in the future. Ahhhhhh!! It's giving me sims brainrot. Do you have anymore crumbs of lore for them you'd be willing to share? If not that's okay too. I just love how you world build your sims.

bob went to college because of his mom. she wanted him to, and he didn't know what he wanted to do w his life so he just went. he was an undecided major until he became a business major just because. shrug. he was also in a co-ed dorm where he met eliza, but they didn't start dating until the year after college. they were friends though

diego was an art history major and he was doing all kinds of odd jobs. he had really good grades, so he got in to college free, and his biggest goal in life was to move to nyc. he hated his small shitty town, he hated his college, he hated everyone there, and so on.

but yes, diego's gay, he was in drag when they met, he was coming home from a bar and just went to the dining hall late at night still in drag whatever he was hungry. and bob was there, he'd been doing an all-nighter, and he hit on him. diego thought it was funny but he also thought bob was hot so. long story short, bob is bisexual, and he had to figure that out in a small town in the early 2000s rip buddy

they started dating for real eventually, and it was a good relationship. for the most part. by this is the fall standards, they're the best couple (the bar is in hell). diego does have some...manic pixie dream boy tendencies though, and he's hot-headed, so they would have arguments, and diego's mood could change at the drop of a hat, but they did love each other.

graduation was getting closer, and diego was trying to convince bob that the city will be great and they don't need to get married or have kids and they'll be young forever. and bob just wasn't budging. they knew the end was approaching long before it came.

they were fighting a lot leading up to the break up, but when it finally was time, it was very quiet. and sad. and defeated. they kissed one more time, and diego packed a suitcase that night and left for the city with barely anything.

now, diego is a successful art critic and knows a lot of artists and influencer types like penny pizzazz and even established celebrities. he's kind of like a socialite. when we reach the tiktok era, i'm sure he'll start doing stuff there and get a following. he gets sad and lonely sometimes.

bob and eliza own a catering company together that does pretty well. their marriage is. well it's bob and eliza. she'll get pregnant w iggy soon.

How old were you when you learned how to drive? I don't drive.

What mode of transport did you take to high school? My mom took me majority of the time, but occasionally my dad or aunt did.

What’s in your purse right now? I use a mini backpack, which right now has my wallet, a thing with some of my medicine, a 2 pack of Reese's (lol), and a Barbie pin I still need to put on the front of my backpack.

Do you vote in your country’s elections? Yes.

What was your first kiss like? It was unexpected and awkward, but I was just giddy about having had my first kiss. It's not like I had anything to compare it to.

Shuffle your music and skip twice. What song is playing? Nah.

Have you ever been a freelancer? No.

What mood were you in when you woke up today? I felt okay.

What storey is your bedroom on? I live in a one-story house.

What gifts do you usually receive at Easter? Gift cards and something like a stuffed animal and/or a shirt.

Do you use a planner to keep track of your life? I use the calendar app to remind me when my bills are due, and I also use the notes and reminders app for stuff.

Who was the last person you sent an email to? I don't recall the last time I sent an email.

Are there any posters in your bedroom? Yeah, I have a few canvas painting and framed ones. Most of them are giraffes, but I also have some beach ones, a couple paintings my uncle did for me, and a Stranger Things poster (the well-known ABCs on the wall one with the strung lights).

What was your favourite fairytale as a kid? I've always liked Alice in Wonderland.

Is there anything in your freezer that you really need to get rid of? I have no idea what's even in my freezer. I'm still mostly bedridden and need help transferring and when I'm up in my chair checking the freezer isn't something I've had a need to do in awhile. I just haven't had a reason to; if I want something I'd just ask someone.

Have you ever played Second Life? No. I'm a Sims gal.

What do you like about the town or city you live in? Just the fact a lot of my family is here.

What do you dislike about the town or city you live in? My town is awful. It's not known for anything good.

Have you ever been to a chiropractor? Did you like it? I have not.

What is your favourite museum? I don't have a particular favorite, though I've only been to a few. I enjoy historical type ones with artifacts and whatnot. I think I'd love The Smithsonian if I ever get to go one day. I love all that kind of stuff.

Do you know anyone who is an actor? No.

Have your wisdom teeth come through yet? I had those taken out when I was a young teenager.

How many weddings have you been to? Just three.

Do you watch Youtube? What channels do you like? I watch a shit ton of YouTube. I'm subscribed to many channels of various types. I like ASMR (a lot of ASMR channels), vlogs/lifestyle, hauls, mukbangs, abandoned places, Disney history and related stuff.... stuff like that.

What’s your alcohol of choice? Barf, none. I don't drink.

Have you ever used a public pay phone? Yeah. It was like back in 2010, I think. The community college I attended had a few and I needed to use it cause my phone had died.

Which one item would you save from your burning house? This is such a hard question cause I'd wanna try and grab so many things.

Do you have a Twitter account? Yeah, or "X" as it's called now. *eye roll* I don't go on it much anymore.

What is your hair like right now? Short and no real style to it right now. I'm in the process of growing it out after cutting it like pixie cut short over a year ago for reasons. It's in that awkward phase, but it is starting to really grow out.

How do you like your eggs cooked? Over-easy, scrambled, hard boiled, deviled, egg salad. I like eggs.

What’s the longest you’ve been without showering? A few months while in the hospital. Like an actual shower I mean. I had bed baths of course.

Name one of your guilty pleasure songs. I didn't want to admit to liking some Justin Bieber songs at first like when his Purpose album came out. lol. I don't care now.

Have you ever made an item of clothing? No. I've never tried to learn or attempt to.

What was the most expensive bill you paid within the last month? I have a few high credit card payments. :X

Week in Review

02/25/2024 – 03/02/2024

Sunday

Week 3 of missing Cipher Academy.

Girl Meets Rock is getting really good…I love Rin’s Machiavellian schemes and the tense dynamic between her and Momo, who’s rightfully mad at being used as a pawn. And even though the story seems to be moving towards a Bocchi-like “we have some obstacles in our way but we’ll overcome them and be a professional-level band” story, we did get like five falling-outs and disbandments, which satisfies my need to see an accurate depiction of how high school music groups almost inevitably fall apart (I may or may not have vaguely bitter memories of certain independent high school choir groups…but I digress). Now I’m just waiting to see if they’re going to play Hato’s singing straight or have her be really bad but suited for metal screaming or something.

Undead Unluck had an amazing lore drop, but I definitely needed the comments and Twitter to jog my memory as to its importance. The fight continues to be dynamic, and I love the new designs. Reading UU is such a treat, as it’s just strength after strength.

Oshi no Ko is…I get that it’s a serious subject, but it feels like the characters are just lecturing me about things I already knew lol. And the comedic turn to keep things light didn’t go over as well in this chapter, I feel, since the earlier speech had such a feeling of “reality” to it. And then the ending….lmao…well, let’s see where they go with this. I doubt they’ll actually go through with it, but it seems difficult to deter Ruby now that she knows.

Dandadan is more of the same, but at least the creature design was unique and I liked seeing Momo and Zuma use their game abilities in creative ways. Feels truly video game-like.

Noooo Shigemoto reverted to his old outfit in Magilumiere…everything feels a touch too “back to the status quo”, complete with the exact same office and character dynamics… I just wish there was something more to mark everyone’s growth (Sakuragi has her pixie cut, but everyone else is practically identical). And if I don’t get to see Shigemoto in a frilly bathing suit, then what’s the point of a beach arc.

One Piece…I’m guessing Vegapunk programmed this message to release upon his death, and I can’t wait to see what sort of ramifications it’ll have. Seeing Luffy take on Saturn and Kizaru at once is also extremely cathartic, though I wonder if it’ll feel too OP for him to defeat them both by himself.

Okay…so…for a while now, I’ve been wanting to get into otome games. I love choosing a character to romance in farming sims, so wouldn’t it be fun to play a full-fledged game where I can pursue a deep romance with a hot anime character?

It turns out that I might not be suited for dating sims at all. I’ve tried Western ones and Japanese ones and I just can’t seem to get past the inherent artifice of it all. At least in farming sims, I can just consider the dating stuff a bonus on top of the min-maxing gameplay I get to do. But I have yet to play a dating sim that has made me feel truly emotionally attached to any of its characters – I just see past the characters and to the tropes and writing conventions they follow, and their attempts to charm me ring hollow. My own personal views on love are already pretty skewed, so none of the characters I’ve seen have ever really sufficiently woo’d me. It’s honestly a little depressing…

But anyway, I finished playing Cupid Parasite. After a lot of looking around the otome game space, I decided to try this one as my first real otoge – I liked the aesthetic, the art, the design of the main character, and the premise of being a matchmaker interested me (I thought there’d be gameplay related to this…but I guess I shouldn’t’ve expected that from a cut and dry otoge). I started playing it months ago, and I decided to pursue Shelby, as I like the “workaholic executive allergic to feelings” type of character. Now, having finished a playthrough and read some reviews, it appears that Shelby’s route is generally regarded as the weakest in the entire game………………….

But even before that, the beginning of the game was so boring and wordy, as it took forever to set up the Parasite 5 gimmick, and the story progression just felt incredibly slow and frustrating. I was hoping to at least get a few choices or any say in how things turn out (you know, gameplay?), but I think I had like five choices in my entire route. (And I know visual novels/kinetic novels aren’t necessarily beholden to giving the player gameplay moments, but I feel like dating sims should…I don’t know, give me something to work with, otherwise the romance just feels entirely unearned and like I’m just reading a romance novel between some random guy and a girl who isn’t me, even if she has my name. I don’t read a lot of romance books for a reason.) It felt like I was just going through an endless and unchanging cycle – Cupid Corp would set up some sort of weird activity to try and get the Parasite 5 interested in marriage, Gill starts simping for the main character, green guy says something about fashion and is rude to girls, purple guy tries to be a homewrecker, Raul starts talking about his weird interests, rinse and repeat for like five scenes straight with zero extra insight into these characters (because you’ll get that in their individual routes, I guess, but would it have killed them to show me a Little bit more of their personalities beyond their gimmicks so that I could possibly be enticed to trying their routes??).

Sorry for wanting gameplay in a visual novel, but I think it could’ve been a lot more fun if we had the option to match the Parasite 5 up with other characters…it would fit the theme, give them happy endings, and give the player at least some semblance of challenge as they try to romance their mark while dodging the advances of the other bachelors. I genuinely thought the matchmaker concept would come up in gameplay somehow, but I was really disappointed to find that it was all set dressing. The writing as a whole is evidently very campy and anime-like, but it wasn’t endearing to me at all. It was actually so annoying that I stopped playing the game for like half a year, and just picked it up today to finish so that I could move on with my life. (I understand that the point of dating sims is to replay it and do each route and complete the game 100% to get your money’s worth and understand the full story, but I like to play romance routes as if it were real life and I have to make a real choice. Besides that, I dislike CupiPara’s writing so much that I’d never want to replay it anyway.)

To move onto the specifics of Shelby’s route, it seems like it was the most tropey and trite one of the whole bunch. Because Shelby is so out of touch with his feelings and incapable of pursuing romance himself, the plot has to twist itself into pretzels to contrive scenarios that force him and the protagonist together in order for romance to potentially spark. Fake dating was fun for a bit, but the company sabotage stuff was boring as hell and ended in the most anti-climactic way imaginable (a dash of godly powers here, an extremely obvious betrayal there, and a bit of slapstick Roomba romance “humor” for good measure). It was funny watching them try to justify how the betrayer’s brainwashing wasn’t just a cheap way of creating a blameless villain, and that they had those feelings in the first place anyway, but in the end it had the same effect of giving me a hollow and meaningless victory.

I also can’t really take the romance scenes seriously…that drunk kiss was so out of nowhere that it skeeved me out, and the eventual sex scene just felt awkward to me, because I always imagine the seiyuu in the booth having to say these lines, and any intimacy the scene may have had just goes out the window (I might’ve felt differently if I cared about any of the bachelors’ seiyuu, but I don’t).

As a whole, this game frustrated me to no end, and I’m seriously considering that otome games may just not be for me. I have one other game that I think I might be interested in, but if that one also flops then I’ll probably write off the genre forever. I’m giving this game a 2/10, and mostly because I was pleasantly surprised by a Shu Uchida English cameo.

Finally got around to watching Great Pretender: Razbliuto, but I just feel utterly bewildered by it. I’m happy to return to the world of Great Pretender and its truly international lenses and broad-mindedness, but this instalment felt a little lacking. I’m glad that Dorothy wasn’t fridged, but being an amnesiac with no agency over her own story or safety isn’t much better. Jay is a fun addition, but mainly because he’s hot and voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi. The rest was just…I was waiting for the minutes-long explanation sequence that we usually got at the end of Great Pretender cases, but here they’re just like “oh yeah everyone was in on it so it worked perfectly” and it just feels so unsatisfying and confusing. The constant backstabbings and surprise collaborations were impossible to keep track of, and I end the movie with feeling like I don’t know what anyone was actually doing or thinking, aside from the overarching idea of Laurent pulling strings to save Dorothy from being pursued. But I don’t know, the best part of heist/conman/mystery stories in general is getting to see the solution, and we just didn’t get that here. As always, I love the art and music direction, I appreciate the multicultural representation, the circular jokes and callbacks were fun, and I like that Dorothy and Laurent seemingly mutually move on from each other at the end, but as a whole the movie was kind of a flop. 6/10.

Wednesday

I worked my way through Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin this morning – while the gory writing and world building did effectively plunge me into this world, story-wise I was left wondering what the point of it all was. The premise is so unique and interesting, and I enjoyed reading about how different people with different circumstances were adapting to the apocalypse (it’s really refreshing to get trans perspectives on a genre that’s so focused on survival and the limits of the body), but the characters themselves didn’t really grab me. As with most adult fiction, I just could never buy into the way the characters talked – even all the swearing and horny talk couldn’t really convince me. And even when there were bits of character writing that I found compelling, the lack of a strong drive in the overall narrative made the book feel like a lot of monologuing without much meaning. It felt like I was waiting for something to happen for most of the book, and by the time something finally did, I didn’t care enough about the characters to feel invested in the climax.

Afterwards, I tried reading The Spiderwick Chronicles (I got the big, 600-ish page complete edition of the series from the library), but it didn’t go so well. I remember Spiderwick being fairly culturally relevant when I was a kid – it had a movie, and I constantly saw the books at my library, but for some reason I never got into it despite loving creature compendiums and cryptozoology when I was young. Now, having read through the first book (only 90 something pages, and a quarter of them illustrations…), I see that my tastes are still mostly the same, just more refined. Spiderwick’s writing is just so boring – things happen one after the other without any sort of flourish or sense of how to craft an interesting narrative. It feels like I’m reading through bullet points of plot milestones instead of getting invested in an actual story. There’s just no character to the writing at all. Needless to say I won’t be continuing with this series.

I watched the latest Game Changer episode with my friend, and it was a decently funny and surprisingly straightforward game. My friend and I even tried out some of the questions ourselves, though only about three of them actually applied to us.

While I was doing all this reading, I watched Liella’s 1st Live Tour, Starlines. Gen 1 Liella is my favourite incarnation of the group, so seeing them perform as five was really moving and nostalgic. All five of them have such strong beautiful voices, and the moments where they got to harmonize a cappella or had solo lines were absolutely gorgeous. I love that they structured the setlist to follow the timeline of the anime’s first season – seeing the girls step out in their costumes after seeing them in anime form on screen felt like I was witnessing the true emotive power of 2.5 media. AND THE AUDIENCE DOING THE LIGHTSTICKS THING FOR TINY STARS ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I did cry at Tiny Stars because it’s my favourite Liella song ever and I love Keke and KuKa and ahhhrhghgyudhj But then Tokonatsu Sunshine was so fun and Nako’s high note was such a slay, then Matataki was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard in my life, then Non-Fiction was so jfshgywueuhfsj and Starlight Prologue aahdjfk I love Gen 1 Liella so so so so much…

Afterwards, I read Cookie by Jacqueline Wilson in one sitting. Playing A Walk in the Sun a few months ago and reading the creator’s notes about Jacqueline Wilson reminded me that I enjoyed quite a few of her books as a kid (I was drawn to her writing about imperfect and non-nuclear families), so I decided to go back and see if I still liked her work. I hadn’t read Cookie before (that I can remember, anyway), but it seemed like a pretty slam dunk premise for the type of story that Wilson usually writes. It was a cute read, but I didn’t expect it to be so…Chicken Soup for the Soul-esque? Everything just felt a bit heightened beyond reality and like it was crafted in a lab with a formula specialized to create the perfect little soap opera, when I’d remembered Wilson’s writing as being slightly more down to earth and nuanced. At some points it did feel a touch on the nose with how miserable Beauty’s life was, and then the ending wrapping everything up in the biggest, shiniest, most perfect bow in world in only two chapters also felt a little ridiculous, but I guess Beauty deserved it after all her hardship. This book was probably aimed at a younger crowd, so I’ll pick up something more teenage from Wilson next time and see how I like it. (Small pet peeve, but the illustrations at the beginning of each chapter basically spoiling what happens next were a little annoying…) (The book also mentioned The Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, which reminded me that I owned it, so I might reread it sometime in the near future.)

Thursday

I’m feeling pretty good about DunMesh Thursday this week, because I’ve made a chicken wrap thing with assorted salad vegetables and an onion and poppy seed dressing that I’ve been trying out and greatly enjoying. The episode was also fun, it neatly gave Namari a proper introduction and fleshed out the characters’ world a little more, and here again we have the staple scene of people being brought together by food. The themes of ecosystem and co-existence and community are so refreshing to see in an anime.

Friday

This morning I read through Rental Person Who Does Nothing by Shoji Morimoto, an interesting memoir from a guy who I’ve seen go viral on Twitter a few times. It was interesting to read about the unique experiences he’s had through the implementation of this service, and his thoughts on the role of humans in a work-focused society and how humans form relationships with each other were a little thought-provoking, but other than that the book was just a light read.

It’s Drag Race day once again, and I’m both excited and nervous to see yet another sewing challenge – Nymphia excels at it, sure, but I can never be sure if they’re setting her up to fail or not. I said before that sewing challenges are fun because I like seeing the girls interacting and having banter as they work, but this one just felt a bit tense…a lot of people are annoyed at Nymphia, Dawn and Q are gunning for the win, Morphine and Plasma are trying to get by while Plane Jane picks at Plasma, and Mhi’ya and Sapphira have their whole thing going on that also annoys everyone else…it’s just bad vibes. Mhi’ya certainly seems to have come out of her shell in the competition, but I don’t know if I quite like the cocky shittalking girl who’s emerged. It just feels a little silly to be talking down on the other girls when her only strong suit is fighting her way out of the bottom week after week. Runway-wise, there wasn’t anything that really blew me away. Morphine’s makeup was pretty incredible but the dress was just okay, Nymphia’s was gorgeous but you couldn’t even really see what it was, and Q’s jacket was amazing but I hated the styling so much (the painted face but normal body looked so bad, as did the netting and the big blocky black panty – if you’re going for a Victorian doll look, at least commit and paint the whole body/cover up more skin to sell the energy). I was sad to see Plasma go (she really grew on me over the season), but her look being the way that it was and her opponent being Mhi’ya pretty much sealed the deal before the lip-sync even began. I think Plasma’s a phenomenal and confident performer, but her taste level and eye for fashion need some serious work. I could see her as a great competitor on All Stars, but for now we’ll have to bid adieu.

Saturday

The new Undead Unluck episode is so good…we’ve finally returned to that strong sense of atmosphere that I’ve been missing since like episode four. The direction was fantastic, with the scene in the bar being a highlight (the hanging lightbulb swinging and casting its light over them…god…). The sudden mood shift really emphasized the tragic nature of Andy’s existence – it will always be filled with farewells. Fuuko being a constant throughout those months must have been some sort of comfort to him, and seeing them get closer (and seeing a quieter and more vulnerable Andy) really lent credence to their blossoming romance. I hope the next few episodes are also of this quality.

I finished reading The Devil’s Flute Murders by Seishi Yokomizo today, and it was pretty gripping from start to finish. I’d read The Honjin Murders before, and I’ve developed a tradition of reading classic Japanese mysteries while listening to select tracks from the excellent and moody Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu soundtrack (its instrumentation and air of bittersweet regret make for the perfect atmosphere). The Devil’s Flute Murders opened quite strongly, and it was easy to get drawn into this family and its twisted characters as Kindaichi tries to figure out what happened. Yokomizo seems to like operating on dread, often referencing things that are about to happen before they actually do – I dislike this slightly, as I like to be surprised rather than strung along, but it didn’t hamper my enjoyment of the book too much. This mystery was one where I had an inkling of the truth throughout, and I managed to deduce who the culprit was before the end, which was pretty satisfying. And while the actual events ended up being more slapdash and coincidental than they were set up to be, I was glad that it wasn’t as complicated as The Honjin Murders because I can never really get the geography straight in my head. The Devil’s Flute Murders offered compelling character relationships and tantalizing imagery (the flute…fantastic reveal), and for that I can safely say it’s my favourite Kindaichi mystery so far.

Back in 2017, I made a list of fandoms/media obsessions I’ve had but it was in a weird order, because some of the stuff was either just an interest and not a fixation, and some of it was stuff I observed but didn’t take part in.

so here’s an updated version of the list

Disney/Muppets (2004?)

Disney and the Muppets have always been part of my childhood, my mum would collect ornaments and I visited Disneyland in 2010

Barbie and just dolls in general

(2003 or 2004, then I became aware of doll fandoms in 2012 or 2013

around the time Monster high was released)

Fireman Sam (2005-2017-2022-present)

(I was introduced to the series in series 5, felt nostalgic for it again in 2017, became aware of the tumblr fandom during that time, then it kinda went dormant for a while until August 2022 when I got back into it again and got obsessed)

Hit Entertainment series in general (2005- present)

(while my interest in Sam in particular is what I’m mainly into from that company, I do sometimes post about their other shows, like Bob the Builder)

British Comedy in general (2005-present)

My first britcom was either Mr Bean or Father Ted, a few black adder clips would be shown in english class and I marathoned Little Britain during my GCSE’s.

The Simpsons (2006-present)

I’ll always love the Simpsons, I suppose it counts as a fandom as I follow a lot of fan artists from that series

Doctor Who (2006-2013)

During the hype of david tennant’s era as the 10th doctor sometimes I would watch this series with my mum so I have some love and nostalgia for it, I wouldn’t know a lot about it though as I was mostly a casual fan

Lazy Town (2006- 2017)

I loved Lazy Town as a kid, I saw the stage show in the grand opera house years ago and I remember the height of the you are number one memes, while I do love it, I wouldn’t say I’m as obsessed with it as before)

Spongebob (2007-2017-present

via some dvds that came with the newspaper and a KFC meal, I was exposed to Spongebob, I’d have a spongebob poster in my wardrdobe and then I learned about the musical at the end of 2017, this is also where I met one of my ex friends, I still love Spongebob

Pokemon (2007)

I was introduced to Pokemon via the Diamond and Pearl season and I spent most of 2014 watching a bit of indigo league and playing Pokemon Y

Mario (2008)

I would watch mario flash animations on youtube and play games on newgrounds, this is also how I got introduced to deviantart via the artist “nintendrawer”

Tinker bell (2008)

I was occasionally active on the Pixie Hollow virtual world and it was a fun time .Disney Teen Sitcoms (2008-2015)

I was obsessed with Hannah Montana and a lot of those shows, but then I got older and grew out of them around the time my mid teens started

I still love the chipmunks, I have an Alvin plush from when I was on holiday in Florida back in 2010

I got into Jem via youtube recommendation while watching the Barbie and the rockers movies one day...I was obsessed

I came across some sonic shorts on youtube and saw bits and pieces of Sonic X on tv and online, then I got generations for my 11th birthday and it just escalated from there

I had a few ponyville toys and I vividly remember the early brony fandom era

I got into emo music through a unique source....angsty sims 2/sims 3 videos

then in my mid teens I got properly into MCR and Panic! at the disco but my main fav band at the time was Simple Plan

.Monster High (2010)

I was there when Monster High came out, I got a Frankie doll and a Lagonna doll, I’d browse the old website, I had a monster high blanket and pencil container

.1D (2010)

I admittedly did have a 1D phase, I don’t have it anymore but I did used to like the boys,

I’d play the sims all day and I’d frequently browse the sims exchange for updates

. Nostalgia Critic/AVGN (2010-present)

Doug walker is how I got into film critique, I have mixed opinions on him nowadays but he’s good meme material and sometimes makes good videos

as for James Rolfe, I have his book in my room, I haven’t read it yet

I’ve always loved Nintendo, but the peek was definitely when I was a preteen getting more into Pokémon and mario, I’d play my nintendo ds very often

Yes, I was a sanrio girly, I had quite a bit of hello kitty merch

I technically got more into Vocaloid in my mid teens, but it was listening to the World is Mine song in 2011 that kickstarted my love for it

Sailor Moon was the series that got me more into anime as an art form, I’ll forever cherish that series

been a fan since the 2003 series, the 2012 series got me more involved in the fandom then I explored the series more last year, watching Rise, the 90s ova and joining a forum message board about tmnt

I got into Kpop via Gangnam Style and some early bratz songs featuring Boa, then I got more into the genre in 2019, dancing to Red Velvet while trying to recover from mental health issues Powerpuff girls (2012-present)

Powerpuff Girls influenced my art style a lot and was another series that got me to browse DeviantArt occasionally

I’ve always been a batman fan, I vaguely remember watching superman 2 in primary school one day, 2012 was when I got more into it though

I still love Dan and Phil to this day, I saw interactive introverts back in 2018 and I have a signed copy of Dan’s mental health book, he’s an inspiration tbh

I was lowkey into Sherlock in the beginning because I had a thing for Benedict Cumberbatch (tbf who didn’t at the time) but then I got sick when season 4 was announced but apparently according to some fans, I didn’t miss much

Star Wars (2015-2018) I know I got into it during the Disney era, but I have seen the original star wars as well, I’m not as into it as I was at the time, maybe once I watch the rest of the classic series then I’ll understand the hype

I got into this film franchise mostly via my friend @leakyrectum, and I’m happy I did, it’s made me appreciate Horror as a genre a lot more, as well as the icon that is Bruce Campbell.

Lupin the third (2023-present)

I just started Lupin part 2 a few months ago and I already adore it, I can’t wait to watch the rest and what I’ve seen of the Lupin fandom is very fun, welcoming and gay

Ninjago oneshot

Just Don't Let Me Go

Myranda likes fluffy animals, especially canines, why else would she have a dog, but Loki wasn't the cause of her worries on this fine morning, in fact Loki was slumbering with Maple, the Husky, as for Myranda, she was enjoying being in the form of a fox as she let Lloyd pet her, she was in a peaceful slumber. When she had reverted back to her original form, Lloyd knew something was wrong because this wasn't her doing, the powers did it on its own, this was the last memory Myranda had as she awoke in a hospital room, Lloyd asleep on the nearby chair, looking obviously distraught, tired and worried, very rarely had Myranda seen her boyfriend in such a state in his sleep.

Myranda noticed that he had cried earlier, before the doctor could check on her, she had tried to awaken Lloyd.

"Psst, Lloyd! Lloyd, wake up, idiot!" Myranda told him, but to no avail so she did the very thing she wasn't necessarily supposed to do, produce a Patronus, but due to her weakened state, it only produced bright lilac light, this attempt worked.

"Don't do that!" Lloyd panicked.

Myranda shrugged and stopped using my powers.

"Why?" Lloyd whispered quietly, yet Myranda heard him.

"You want the long version or the short version?" Myranda asked him.

"Lloyd, there's a thing that you need to know, I don't care about my body weight, I did this to teach my brother a lesson, I wanted to scare him, Sensei was in on it, he didn't like the concept, but not all lessons are about fighting, now are they?" Myranda told Lloyd.

"You almost killed yourself in order to teach your brother a lesson!?" Lloyd asked, unbelieving.

"Remember, he told me I was fat in front of all of you, I did what any girl would've done, stop eating, but I did it to scare him, I wanted to scare him enough so he wouldn't say that to another." Myranda explained.

"By the way you talk about it, it sounds like he told you that more than once." Lloyd stated.

"Because he did." Myranda shrugged.

Lloyd had awoken with a jolt, another one of those dreams/flashbacks, something told him that this wasn't normal, perhaps someone escaped the departed realm or something, but he couldn't help, but check, just in case.

Myranda had passed, due to being stabbed during a mission about a year ago, it's rather unfortunate that their children had to live without their mother, at least Lloyd had the ninja and his sister, Gabriella, to help him out with Lyra, Evey and Harry.

Yes, she may have purposely starved herself to scare her brother, but that's not what killed her because she gained strength rather quickly and the doctor said she ate all the food they gave her with glee.

After her death, her beloved woofer lost his will to live as he too succumbed to death trying to protect Myranda's limp body during the same mission Myranda died in, Loki even attempted to get her back, she only pat him weakly before her hand fell, lifeless, at least Myranda and Loki are reunited in the departed realm, but are they really?

Both haven't moved on and when Lloyd had opened the departed realm to check if Myranda and Loki had escaped, Myranda was in a full fledged conversation with Sensei Garmadon, however once she sensed the gateway between the departed realm and Ninjago was opened, she and Loki wasted no time to escape as she hugged Lloyd tightly, Loki trying to climb onto Lloyd, barking in glee, tail wagging and all.

"Shush, everyone's asleep." Lloyd ushered.

"I've missed you." Myranda whispered.

Lloyd sighed, the portal between the realms had already closed and the master of Animals and her dog weren't ready to leave Ninjago again.

Myranda and Lloyd stayed in each other's embrace, just taking in the moment and not letting each other go.

My TS4 Still Unimpressed Rant, from 2015. I still DGAF about TS4, as EA barely scratches the surface or gives us anything we’ve never seen before. We FINALLY got llamas (they’re technically just reskinned cows, EA, you ain’t slick), but the rest of Cottage Living’s just a retread of TS3 Store stuff with new graphics & animations & half the gameplay (TS4 in a frikkin nutshell TBH).

And eff TS5; I want a TS1/TS2 remake, the same way Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil 2 got remade. Watching The Red Plumbob’s meticulous videos hammers home how badly EA’s failed to move FORWARD with this dang franchise, so they might as well go back to the frikkin start. I’m tired.

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. Thanks for hearing me out, and thanks for all the work you do to make this games playable. I really enjoy all your hard work!

#SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. If it's not too much, children's version is also appreciated!

My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.

The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

Hey there, that #SSSWish thing is a super cool idea! I do have a wish too - I would love to see the EL utility jumpsuit converted for male framed sims. It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. So if anybody out there could do that properly, I'd be extremely grateful :3

My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. If anyone could update it or make a new one that would be great! 😁

Hi ! There is quite a few things I’d like, but I narrowed it down to three “small” things:

- An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.

- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?

- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

Hello! This #SSSWish is such a fun idea~ Personally, I'd love if someone updated the Plantsims mods that have broken over the numerous updates. Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. #ssswish This is such a lovely idea! There are so many fun wishes! What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.” I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.) What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

#SSSwish I don't know if you're still taking these, but I really want a neck tattoo of feathery wings wrapping around the neck like a choker. That sounds specific but any style is really okay. Neck tattoos are so difficult to make!

#SSSWish I’d love to see a TS4 conversion of an old fave or two from TS2 – the tennis dress that came with the Apartment Life EP and the women’s nerdy cute sweater vest over untucked blouse from FreeTime (just the top preferred over the full outfit with the skirt) are the things I’ve been missing most, but anyone who wants to convert clothes from either of those two EPs or H&M stuff will make me super excited, they all had a lot of nice things.

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. My wish is exactly hand accessories, specifically wedding rings, which don't conflict with SkinDetail eyelashes. It may be helpful to know that plumbobteasociety managed it in their RRS pack. Lastly, you guys rock!

For the SSSW, as a disabled simmer, I would like to see either a trait if possible or even just some CAS or Build/Buy items that are for disabled sims so I can that aspect into my save.

Particularly K-drama style uniform tops that have variations, such as blazers and the types of ties ( e.g. ribbons, bows, regular ties, loose ties, no ties etc. ), cardigans, vests, half-zips, blouses, button downs and crewnecks ( just some examples ) for sims that like to show off their own style at school, despite the uniform.

I have another #SSSWish (if you don't mind). I don't know if it already exists but a mod which adds more family relationship options to CAS or the Sim menu. Like grandparents, cousins, step- and half-siblings, step-parents, etc. It would be easier instead of having to create additional Sims just to create diverse relationships.

I would love to see some more truly alien clothing options for the aliens, the males especially. I sometimes like to dress mine up in complete different outfits for their alien and disguise forms. When I want to give there alien form a totally authentic feel, but a different outfit in every category, I have so much trouble dressing up the males. So some new alien options would be wonderful.

Can somebody make some maxis match dreads for male sims? I see a lot of shaved sides for men or female dreads with clips and baby hairs, but I would love for some regular full head male dreads not too short and not to long!! #SSSWish
