Hc Nico hates Disney’s Hercules, not bc it makes Hades a flaming blue guy (that was dope, mind you), but bc it depicts Zeus as a good father & god when he is definitely not. And holding grudge has always been Nico’s speciality.
Same goes for Percy. Though in his part it’s more like pettiness. Jason is put off by Hercules due to his previous encounter with the demigod-turned-god and Thalia just finds it funny.

If Hades Raised Nico and Bianca Part 3 (feat Persephone)
Persephone, running into the throne room: uhm, Hades, can I please borrow you for a moment?
Hades, worriedly: Persephone, what's wrong?
Walking to Bianca's room:
Persephone: I wanted to give Bianca a haircut because her bangs had gotten so long. So I sat her in front of her mirror, and brushed her hair. But the more I brushed her hair...
Hades: ...what?
Persephone: *opens the door to reveal Bianca playing with her hair*
Bianca, with black/silver flames coming out of her hair: *looks up* Papa, look! MY HAIR IS ON FIRE! :D
Hades:
Bianca: I'm just like you now! :D

They threw a little of 1997 Hercules’s Hades into some of these Hades lines and I can’t say I blame them.
Fast talker, negotiator. I see you, Disney.

lin manuel miranda currently has the power to be the funniest person in the entire world and become the next hermes in hadestown on broadway. i mean he's already so good at instructing ill-advised young demigods on how to sneak into the underworld.

13th Labor
Hercules had Jaune by the throat and pulled him closer to him with a wicked Grin, "I can see why Lord Kronos is cautious of you, but you have nothing on me! I am the greatest Demigod to live!" Hercules cried.
Jaune glared at him and spit in his face as he tried to break free from the immortal hero.
Hercules wiped the spit off his face and his smile grew as he looked at Jaune. "I'm gonna kill the Percy boy as well as Hades's brats, then that hunter, Zoe, as for that Thalia girl, I'm gonna rip her limb from limb, and then there's that daughter of yours... I'm gonna bash her little skull in and make you watch!" He cried.
Hearing all of this, and hearing the threat to his daughter's life as well as his friends, Jaune's Aura boosted so high that Jaune managed to cause a stinging sensation to the son of Zeus' arm, which caused him to let go of the young knight, and when Jaune was free, he pulled his fist back and punched Hercules in the face.
Hercules's entire head felt as if it had been shaken around as he backed up in a daze.
Meanwhile, Jaune roared before slowly coming back down from his anger and breathing slowly.
Hercules, despite still feeling shaken, smiled at Jaune, "That's what I was looking for, now I see it... there you are... there's the man Godbreaker"
Jaune glared at him and quickly grabbed his sword and looked at Hercules, ready to continue the fight, Hercules did the same, grabbing his sword and looking at Jaune with a sinister smile.
"Let's get this over with," Jaune said with a glare.
Hercules smiled, "That eager to see lord Hades?" He asked.

guys would percy like disney hercules. because I feel like for me, annabeth would hate it for being crude and inaccurate, but grover would kinda dig it because Phil is a bro's bro and he asserts his stayr boundaries and grover appreciates fun media.
but would percy like it or NOT. I'm undecided. would he like snuggle up and watch it w grover and popcorn or would it annoy him too much. IDK

I will always defend Hades in any form of media because why is he always portrayed as the villain? He is literally one of the least problematic gods in greek mythology!! I may be a child of Apollo, but Hades you are my king!!

So we all know that Percy is Poseidon’s favorite son - that is canon and has been stated outright by other individuals. And now we get Poseidon loving to brag about Percy to the other Olympians/gods. (I mean - I think they were talking about Percy here).
Reminded me of what Poseidon told Percy at the end of TLO (“You have risen above every hero; not even Hercules -“). You just KNOW that Poseidon was insufferable afterward. That’s probably the real reason Zeus got annoyed and frustrated with Percy.
“Yeah, yeah - your kid did all those great quests and whatever, but did YOUR kid save Olympus and help bring down one of the gods’ most dangerous and powerful enemies? I don’t think so.”
(Side note: The only thing I don’t like about the READ RIORDAN post is their mention of Percy and Annabeth “coming back from Tartarus with minimal injury and trauma” - like did we read the same book?)

One thing that I want pjo to keep from Disney's Hercules (if they don't do it I'll have to headcanon it): get Danny DeVito in it somewhere. It's too early for him to be Coach Hedge (the role he was born to play), but we need more Danny DeVito. He can make anything funnier.

Theseus series #8 "The Abduction of Persephone" illustrated by me
For many years Theseus reigns in prosperity over Athens and has many more adventures. He battles against the centaurs at Perithous’ wedding; the battle known as the Centauromachy, and joins the many heroes in the hunt for the Calydonian boar. In these years, King Theseus meets and marries the Amazon warrior Antiope, or some say it was her sister, Hippolyta. Some say she was abducted, others, that she betrayed her matriarchal clan, and went willingly. With Hercules also having stolen the Amazon Queens Hippolyta’s magic girdle for his ninth labor, the Amazon warriors cross the Aegean and invade Athens, resulting in the Attic war.
Years later, With the true audacity of a demigod, Theseus assists his friend Perithous, into the underworld, some say to rescue, others to abduct, Persephone, wife of Hades. But they are caught by the God of the underworld and imprisoned upon the “chairs of forgetfulness”. Here they meet the ghost of Meleager, the hero of the Calydonian boar hunt, who admonished them for such a foolish plan. Luckily for Theseus, Hercules, on his twelfth labor to kidnap the guard dog Cerberus, comes upon his cousin and, imploring Hades for mercy, is able to frees Theseus. Unfortunately, Perithous is left behind, or, as some say, he was brutally ravaged by the hound of Hades; Cerberus.
Cerberus purpose was to guard the exit gates of Hades, to prevent anyone from scaping the underworld. According to Hesiod, the hound had fifty heads and was the offspring of the titaness Echidna, the “mother of all monsters” a half snake-half woman creature who drove enemies crazy with her venom, and Typhon, a hundred dragon headed creature who was defeated in battle by Zeus. It’s later that playwrights like Sophocles and Euripedes describe the hound as having three heads. Cerberus appears in a few other scenes in notable myths. As mentioned, he is retrieved by Hercules for his 12th labor, with Persephone providing assistance. When Orpheus enters the underworld searching for his lost love Eurydice, the musician lulls the hound to sleep on his lyre, allowing him to enter. And in the Roman poet Virgil’s Aeneid, Aeneus and the Sibyl throw the hound bread laced with honey and herbs, inducing slumber, and allowing them to pass.
DId i miss any important information about this part of Theseus tale? Or Cerberus? please let me know below. :)

Percy vs Hercules!!!
Conditions:
1) no additional special strengths. both are mortal (not gods), no mark of achilles/invulnerability, no blessing from a god, etc. they are just their regular demigod forms.
2) no outside help. they don’t get help from their friends or godly parents or any of the other gods, creatures, etc. (but using their natural god-given powers does not count as help.)
3) since hercules has his superhuman strength, I would sooo like to give percy the ocean. but im gonna challenge him, since the ocean isn’t just anywhere you go. so percy is not near the ocean, but there is a nearby body of water, such as a lake or pond or river, because those are common anywhere you go.
4) percy has riptide (sword) and hercules has his mace (club). no other weapons.
headcanons and theories about how this would play out are welcome in the comment section! i wanna hear your thoughts!
