Percy getting picked up from school by his godly family
Good:Poseidon or Triton, typical dad and brother behavior. a bit overdone but ultimately very wholesome
Better: Amphitrite, the drama of getting picked up by your dad’s wife and knowing that your dad cheated on her with your mom. Is she kind? is she mad at Percy or his mom because of Poseidon cheating on her? Did Poseidon make her do this? Does she adore Percy? Does she get along with Sally? Does she defend Percy when a teacher accuses him of being a delinquent?
Mind blowing: Nerites. The absolute chaos of Poseidon’s boy toy and charioteer rocking up to Percy’s school in Poseidon’s chariot (it looks like blue luxury sports car) with his and Poseidon’s sort of kid Anteros in the back seat. A teacher asks how Nerites is related to Percy and he just says that he is dating Percy’s father (the teacher met amphitrite last week). Bonus points if this is the first time Percy meets Nerites and was unaware that Poseidon was bisexual. Bonus bonus points if it’s before Percy and Annabeth get together and Anteros (the god of mutual love and Percy’s sort of half brother) tells Percy to ask Annabeth out already.

Triton “I’m not particularly interested in my half-blood brother’s life, I just think…” ‘s opinions on some of Percy’s relationship outside the seafam:
Chiron: Should’ve been more careful with Percy, but overall okay given Chiron being an obviously underpaid and overworked old man
Grover: He likes him. It’s pity he didn’t marry Polyphemus, it’d be nice to have him in the family and maybe he would convince good old Polyphemus to start a healthier diet
Luke: Bad thing he betrayed Olympus, blah blah blah, but in a positive light he left camp before Percy’s hero worship turned into something more 👍
Annabeth: She… oh… okay… I guess I can’t write that, Triton. I’ll leave it here that you are strongly against her near your brother. What? No, I won’t say that either. What does Athena and Pallas have to do with this… Okay, enough. Next!
Apollo: Again, I can’t write that. I cannot call the god of sun a [redacted]!!! Okay, I’ll leave the message. Directly quoting Triton (not my words, Triton’s) “I know things about you, cradle robber. Don’t make me come for you!”
Hermes: Not bad. He’s happy that at least one god has restraining. Keep distance, either way. In fact, STOP visiting Percy with presents you were NOT allowed to gift him with.
Thalia: Surprisingly alright about their friendship, laments that she is the daughter of who she is, but she’s got points since she doesn’t like her father much, too.
Hazel: Best half-blood around (after Percy, ofc), says he’d like to have her and Frank over to dinner any day at the palace.
Frank: Basically family, he totally approves of Percy’s friendship with him. Pity he’s Roman and child of Mars, “no one is perfect, I guess”
Nico: In the name of Lady Amphritite, Lord Triton is asking you to eat more healthily. Mostly okay and “Don't crush on Percy again, if you know what's good for you.”
Jason: Roman. Jupiter. Multiple hisses… I don’t know what he meant with it, but whatever.
Beckendorf: He’s ranting for three hours about how great Beckendorf was. Terms such as “Honorary Percy’s Big Brother” were used.
Rachel: Very nice mortal. Poor taste in patrons, though.

Semi-Aquatic Percy Jackson Headcanons
(A lot of these will be random Atlantean culture ideas I made up)
Markings
If you were to ever see Percy shirtless you would see what he wants you to see, the mist is a powerful tool, especially for covering obvious marks. But if you are one of the few to see him without you would see identical columns of burn marks going from his collar bones down to his waist, each small and precise. In Atlantis warriors mark themselves with each battle won, each powerful enemy slain. Percy choose to brand himself with his victories, so that every time he looks at them and remembers the victory he remembers the pain and suffering wrought with it. Percy is a war veteran, and he’ll be damned if he ever lets himself or others romanticize the killing of war and the death of his companions.
Hair
Atlanteans put either a braid or loc in their hair for each year they are alive. The royal family never has, for in their immortality they would run out of space. Percy has never viewed himself as a prince, and he sure as hell isn’t immortal. He had 16 of them when he decided Olympus's fate, and 17 when he walked through the depths of Tartarus. And ever since he got them he’s had his camp beads decorated on them.
Strength
After his third quest Percy became obsessed with getting stronger to mitigate future deaths. It got to the point where he let himself submerge to the bottom of the sea, to the deepest trench, and let himself slowly get crushed by the pressure of the ocean. Pushed into the mud until he grew the strength to stand up, and then he’d let more weight fall onto him. Eventually he was able to stand with the weight of the entire ocean on him. It took him a week of ripping doors off hinges and breaking something with a touch before he got control over his new found strength.
Monster (Inspired by Witch_of_History’s Series)
Poseidon was renown as the Father of Monsters. All his children have the potential to live up to that title, his godly spawn where born with it, sharp teeth, razor claws, and tough scales. It came with being his immortal child, you were born touched by all his domains. But demigod children only gain access to their parents domains as they age or as they need them, and his half mortal children had never been monstrous. But as with all things mythological Percy pushed the envelope. His time in the deepest depths of the sea caused his body to adapt to his environment, the royal family was mostly homogenous with their monstrous traits. Percy was always an outlier to them though, when he finally ascended from the depths he had adapted beyond human. Increased senses of smell, sight, hearing. Able to sense nearby creatures bio-electric signals, capable of echo-location, can see infrared, magneto-reception. His monstrous form is a blue scaled, razor clawed,bi-pedal apex predator of the deep. A scaled merrow-esque person with an extra rows of shark teeth behind their human teeth. Annabeth and Grover have never been more enamored with a demigods powers before, and the Hunters have never had a better hunting companion. Much to Artemis’ chagrin and Thalia’s delight.
Favors
Strong warrior or kings in Atlantis keep rings of their enemies and allies. On one hand will be rings made from the bones or weapons of enemies defeated, on the other are gifts or symbols fealty of debt’s owed to the wearer. Percy has no lack of rings. Titans, Giants, and ancient monsters leave many spoils for souvenirs. It’s his other hand that draws interest however, he liberated Thanatos, spared Hades after defeating him, assisted Persephone in retrieving her illegally made sword. None of these things came free, other demigods typically are sent off with recognition and little else. But Percy is a hardened veteran of undersea battles, defeating creatures older than Olympus and fighting against Oceanus prior to the Battle of Manhattan. They had no choice but to give him tribute for his actions. Hades and Persephone groaned about it, Thanatos gladly gave it up, and yet having a box filled with rings of allyship, fealty, and loyalty he’s never used them. But what people always forget is that Percy and Annabeth are a pair, whatever one has the other does as well. Best believe it, Annabeth has many plans that could use some godly touch.

Bitterness Blood
About:
What if Loki was Sally Jackson? Thus, Percy is born a half-blood of two gods from differing patheons. It's time Loki and Percy took the Marvel Universe by storm.
First - Previous - Next Chapter
Chapter 2, Part 3: The Sea Protects
To say that Triton and Amphitrite were shocked would be an understatement.
The first new god was due to be born in a millenia, and their death was set when they were only 16!
Triton seems to disassociate, thinking about his own daughter Pallas. She was born a naiad and was almost secured in her divinity, when Zeus distracted his daughter during a sparring match and Athena killed her, her spear piercing through Pallas’ chest, just because Pallas was winning.
He saw his daughter's pained youthful face looking towards her friend her lover Athena, her golden hair soaked with blood, the pearls in her hair cascading to the sea floor, and then her breaths stilled and she fell limp. Pallas’ face fell towards Triton, and her once beautiful sparkling blue eyes were dead. There was no longer any light in her eyes.
Triton screamed in anguish and fury. The oceans raged like never before when the prince of the peaceful seas grew violent. He was held back by his mother from doing anything rash, but still Athena, his daughter a goddess he was tasked to care for by Zeus, was forever banished from the seas, from her first home, from her foster father. And no gods born from the sky were ever allowed into the sea again.
He couldn't do this again. He couldn’t see another young face like Pallas lose their light.
He abruptly straightened up and cried, "I can't do this again," and swam away, lost in his sorrows.
"Triton," Amphitrite and Poseidon yell after their son, but he is already gone.
"I'm sorry, he's probably just remembering some bad memories," Amphitrite sighs and looks softly into Loki's eyes, "We all are."
"If you don't mind me asking, what is everyone remembering?" Loki asks hesitantly.
Amphitrite takes a deep, shaky breath, and Poseidon goes over to squeeze his wife’s hand assuringly, “I-It’s just our granddaughter, Triton’s first and only child, Pallas. Triton crafted her through his very essence, but she needed time to be secured in her divinity. She was taken much before her time, and with your baby having a death sentence over their head, it likely brought up bad memories for Triton. Another child who will never make it to adulthood.” Amphitrite started crying, and Poseidon held her tightly in his arms.
Poseidon's eyes started to grow wet, but he stubbornly refused to cry.
“Poseidon,” Loki says softly, “It’s alright to cry, and I’m sure Amphitrite doesn’t mind either. Norns knows how much I cried when I heard that prophecy.” Loki will do what he can to support his love. He knows that like the sea, Poseidon loves fiercely and vastly, and he needs the support from Loki and Amphitrite both.
Amphitrite takes a shuddering breath and looks into Poseidon’ turbulent eyes, like the froshing grays before a storm, “Husband, Loki is right. We both still grieve our granddaughter, and it is alright to express that.” Then she turns and gives a watery smile at Loki, “I’m glad my husband found another who can support and love him. Thank you, Loki.”
Loki takes a shuddering breath, surprised and happy that Amphitrite accepts him, and nods at Amphitrite. He also realizes that he never needed to be jealous of their open relationship because Poseidon gets to receive love from multiple people, and Loki finds himself oddly alright with that, and is sure Amphitrite feels the same way.
“I don’t know if I can, my loves,” Poseidon says heartbrokenly after their speeches, “I’m so used to being strong, I don’t know if I can be weak. W-what if I hurt our people? My emotions cause turbulent tides and storms and earthquakes, and if I start, I fear I won’t be able to hold back. I don’t want to go back to my old self that caused so much destruction.”
“Dear,” Ampitrite says sadly to Poseidon, “I’ll be here to weather your storm, as I’ll be here to comfort you through your rains. I’m the calming sea to your turbulent sea, and I will always be. You don’t have to hold back, as I’ll always be there to balance you out. You’ve changed for the better, and I don’t believe it possible that this loving man in front of me could ever go back to his old self.”
“I know what it's like to cause destruction in your wake,” Loki starts and heads to sit next to Poseidon and wraps his arms around him as Amphitrite does, “But what’s most important is finding those who can support you through it, and I’ve found that having those people near always settle the storm. I’m here Poseidon, and Amphitrite is here to support you, we’ll calm your storm and be here through everything.”
“I-I,” Poseidon says, shaking as tears escape his cloudy eyes, “Thank you.” And he starts sobbing in his lover's arms. The seas darken and grow dangerous, and storms and hurricanes start to form. However, Amphitrite, true to her word, even as her eyes are wet, calms her lover's destruction in non-fatal storms, hurricanes, and seas.
After they grieve, Poseidon says softly, “Pallas, was our beautiful and creative and troublemaking granddaughter. She always had ways to make us laugh, and she loved all life around her. She somehow though always found new ways to get into trouble. One day, when one of her pets, sorry friends,” Poseidon laughs wetly, remembering his granddaughter’s correction.
Poseidon then continues, “One of her friends died, and she created her first storm in her grief, and she was terrified of all the destruction she caused. She ended up destroying the ship that killed her friend, but even still, she never killed any of the people on board. They all managed to get safely to shore. A young man, though, who was part of that ship’s crew, saw her grieving over the dead fish, and proceeded to dedicate the rest of his life to saving marine life and giving his respects to Pallas. Then, his descendants after him, and so on, and today they own one of the largest marine life conservations and rehabilitations in the world called Pallas’ Ocean Rehabilitation. I’ve forgotten that Pallas blessed his family and still that blessing holds onto his descendants for all long as they do have good in their hearts, and that in her first destruction she paved the way for life to continue flourishing. I’ve forgotten the lesson that Pallas taught me that day, that destruction isn’t always bad.”
“I miss my granddaughter greatly, but I’ve forgotten her life in the tragedy of her death, and I think Triton needs to hear this, to remember those silly and fun and loving times with Pallas, so he can celebrate her life and start to move on from her death.” Poseidon states and stands up to go find his son.
Loki is in awe of Pallas and her beautiful story, and hopes to hear more about her, and hopes that Triton will be alright.
“I think Triton needs to hear that,” Amphitrite smiles and tells Poseidon before he leaves to go find their son, “I think we’ve all just been ignoring our grief, and forgotten how Pallas brought us together as a family, and how what we really needed was to stay together and not pull apart in our grief.”
“I agree,” Poseidon says and goes to find Triton.
“Pallas sounds like an amazing person, and I’m sad that I’ll never get to meet her,” Loki says sincerely to Amphitrite once Poseidon leaves.
“She was.” Amphitrite reminisces.
They sit in comfortable silence for a bit, and Loki thinks about Pallas both her tragedy and her impact on those around her. She was amazing and seemed to be full of life. Loki gently holds his flat stomach. Even if his child doesn’t have much time, he’ll be sure to enjoy every moment. Every life, every stumble, even every destruction. Even though the prophecy calls for the savior or the destroyer of Olympus, Loki will never turn his back on his child. Perhaps, even as a destroyer, the child will instead be like Pallas and pave the way for a brighter future.
Loki smiles, his destroyer, he likes the sound of that. Loki shakes his head, that’s in the future, and Loki knows whatever the child chooses he’ll stand behind them until the end.
Note:
Destroyer, huh, wonder what name that will lead to 😋
Also, I had to add Pallas. She really underrated in mythology and needed her mentioned somehow.

just some headcanons i have for the pjo triton i fantasize about in my head
okay so the main thing about triton is that he takes his role as prince and heir SERIOUSLY. like you dont see any of zeus’ kids rattling on about how they’re the prince/ss of olympus right? they’re gods before they are monarchs, but triton is built different. his primary loyalty is towards serving atlantis and his father-king, poseidon, rather than personifying his mantle as the god of calm seas.
this also means that triton doesn’t really care about messing with humans like the other gods do. in fact he doesn’t really care about humans at all. he cannot fathom why poseidon has so many human affairs and why he regularly leaves atlantis to meddle in the mortal world. for triton, having rule over all the earth’s seas and oceans is a large enough domain as it is without worrying about whatever the land dwellers do.
actually triton doesnt much care for anyone outside of the sea, other gods included. why would he? he spends all his time in the ocean. this also means that though he acknowledges zeus’ role as king of all gods, he does so grudgingly. he’s more likely to see zeus just as poseidon’s annoying younger brother rather than anything as familial as uncle or anything as reverent as the most powerful.
because triton takes his princely role so seriously, it makes him a bit... haughty? dude’s just used to constantly being surrounded by people who have to respect him and take care of life’s meager hardships for him. he’s prideful and he doesn’t really see that as a fault
look, he’s really proud of the fact that he’s a prince, okay. he looks at the other gods like ares and hermes and apollo and he thinks, “these kids are not acting like they are children of the king god.” triton embracing his princely status is, to him, embracing the responsibility of what it means to be a child of the sea and a child of poseidon. he knows that a lot of creatures and communities depend on the sea to survive, and making sure that sea is eternally habitable for all of them means stepping the fuck up. poseidon is the king of the ocean, and the ocean harbors so much: both beauty and monstrous things, the bright colors of the surface and the dark denizens of the deep. and because poseidon is his father, triton believes that his duty as a son is acknowledging the weight of that responsibility and doing his part in keeping the peace. part of that philosophy bled into how he raised athena, and he’s the main reason why athena takes her role in giving wise counsel to zeus so seriously too: they’re both well aware of the fact that their fathers are very powerful gods and often far too carefree with their power.
so triton can come off as rather straight-laced, and blunt, and a bit of an impatient dick that’s willfully ignorant of anything outside the ocean. but all that stems from a deep sense of duty, and to the citizens of atlantis at least, triton is a fair and just ruler that they can always count on to take over when poseidon isn’t around.
and like, at least part of that duty was instilled in him because of amphitrite. poseidon may be the ruler of the seas but amphitrite actually is the sea itself, and when the waves crash and hurricanes form and the tide wanes both amphitrite and triton feel that echo in their godly bones.
he’s the only one of his siblings that is primarily worshipped in connection to their father -- as poseidon’s herald -- rather than his domain, so by nature he feels a stronger pull towards atlantis than they do. he’s also a bit of an ass to his siblings tbh. in his view, they’re all neglecting their duties in some way and he’s eternally resigned to picking up the slack.
and because i think of triton as dutiful, i also think his contempt of percy is less because he’s jealous that percy is the favorite, and more because he knows percy doesn’t truly understand what it means to be poseidon’s son. like yeah yeah he’s the son of the sea god and he exhibits great and fearsome power over the waters blah blah, but does percy know the power structure in atlantis? the daily lives of their people? does percy does his duty as the son of the king and assist in atlantean government and politics? no! and triton is sick of the way that poseidon’s demigod children never seek out to help atlantis, and the way that poseidon has never really cared about pushing his demigod children to even care about their kingdom.
once triton warms up to percy though, he takes it upon himself to teach his younger brother everything he needs to know. and yes he thinks that percy is annoying and a brat but he also sees that percy is genuinely caring. one of his new favorite things to do is teaching percy how to fine-tune his control over the currents, which is a skill the demigod has never really needed to develop overland. it helps soothe the grief he still carries for pallas.
i subscribe heavily to the idea that percy had to stay in atlantis for a while to cope with tartarus. and i also see poseidon instructing triton to watch over percy as he sleeps, mindful of the nightmares that he always has that had only gotten worse since his time in the pit and the way that percy can sometimes lose control of his powers during them. as the god of calm seas, triton knows a thing or two about soothing a storm. as he grows to like percy more and more, he also takes it upon himself to play a light lullaby for his brother, the music filled with a calming magic that lets percy rest without fear.
by the end of percy’s stay, percy gets convinced to visit atlantis more regularly. and triton always shows up to take him to and from the palace every time.

Triton has a killer voice. No, literally. If he were to go to the surface, he would be able to speak, that's obvious, but he would also be able to disintegrate anyone with his voice. Triton's voice would sound like metal against metal or nails against a black board over exaggerated. Like, he could really kill your ear drums or just cause you to disintegrate on the spot. Also, his normal speaking voice would sound melodic and beautiful, it also has a hint of charm speak.

A Percy with milky white skin that bioluminesces with mother-of-pearl.
[Walker is such a pretty boy].
(Yes he is and the makeup department done an amazing job emphasizing it. All the demigods look strangely attractive but they went all out for the trio.)
Children of Poseidon are almost always tan. Especially the boys. It’s part of the reason everyone at camp hesitated to think Percy was the child of Poseidon. Even with all the evidence.
Children of Triton though? Rare as the may be they have skin like sea shells and soft pale sands.
Aphrodite kids will occasionally have water powers because Aphrodite came from the ocean.
Hell maybe he was the son of Amphitrite or even a minor river god.
No one wanted this sweet mama’s boy to be burdened by having Poseidon as a father.

Percy and Triton
Percy and Triton have a love-hate relationship
Triton hated Percy at first, like he hated all his demigod siblings
He expected Percy to be arrogant
But Triton was surprised when he saw that Percy blushed with every compliment, was modest and humble, never expected to be treated like a prince etc..
What made Triton except Percy though was his use of sarcastic and sassy attitude without getting into trouble
He saw this when he was attending one of Atlantis' banquets. Percy was also attending (Percy didn't want to, but Poseidon insisted saying that it would be good for him to learn more about the undersea politics)
Poseidon had asked Triton to stay with Percy and introduce him to other people. It was going fairly well, until one of the most annoying and arrogant generals showed up
Everybody hated that guy, even Amphitrite, who usually liked everyone. So of course, when the general stepped foot into the room, he immediately went next to Percy and Triton and proceeded to criticize and insult Percy
Triton was fuming. He may had not liked the demigod, but no one insults his brother
He was about to tell the general off, but Percy beat him to it
Percy sassed the general back with the most sweetest and innocent smile that left the general gaping and Triton refraining himself from applauding
Triton accepted Percy after that, though he will never admit it
They cover for each other when one of them gets into trouble
One time Triton forgot to do some paperwork and Percy lied to Poseidon saying that he had asked Triton to show him the reefs and that's why Triton didn't manage to finish his work
Did Poseidon know that Percy was lying to him? Yes, but he pretended not to
He loved the fact that Triton and Percy had developed a brotherly bond so he let it slide
They constantly insult each other
But if someone else insults the other sibling, war is waged
Triton start to love being a big brother
He's also a lot taller than Percy and he constantly teases him about it
Percy responds with jumping on Triton's back and declaring that he is now taller
They constantly get into trouble with their shenanigans
Triton and Percy bonding 💖

Guys honestly if anyone knows any riodianverse fanfiction that dives into/brings to light(for percy and tyson)/has some of percys other seafam relatives besides just his godly siblings as characters let me know! I love the idea of uncle!percy and uncle! Tyson so I'm especially interested in stories where the kids of percys and tysons siblings( siblings being rhodes, kymopoleia,Benthesikyme, Herophile, triton etc) are characters. Especially if it involves demigods ocs.
But also
a story idea for anyone to use(let Me know if you do)
imagine if tyson found out that castor and pollux were his and percys 3x great nephews( imagine the hug!) . Honestly I can see percy inviting the twins over to his mom's occasionally. After castor dies I can definitely see sally and Paul opening their home more to pollux when he needs it while percy insisting on pollux visiting him and annabeth at new rome University occasionally especially during the summer just so he can get out of cabin 12 especially if no other campers are claimed by his dad.
Also Just imagine estelle having yet another big brother figure in pollux! He would be so gentle with her!
