I like how even though Tsukasa has little screentime in Kamitaka Sport Fes event, he left big impressions in the scavenger hunt (poor Akito) and less noticeably in the cheer battle.
The Team Blue and Team Red leaders may have a long-time rivalry in cheer battle, but when it's showtime it's obviously a Rui vs Tsukasa productions.
To be honest, if I talked about the amazingness of Rui's production I'll just be repeating what the game had said about it. I can say that it was the kind of production that only Rui could make and no one else. He didn't hold back and used everything in his arsenal. And he also had the charismatic Team Blue leader to motivate other team members. So, I'll talk about the criminally underappreciated Team Red's production.
The thing that I like about the cheer battle is that although we know how Rui directed the production for Team Blue, we didn't really see how it was for the Team Red. But when I see it, I just know that Tsukasa must've had a hand in directing it.
Tsukasa knew that Rui would go for the grander and flashier production. He wouldn't have a chance to compete with his esteemed director if he fought Rui head-on. After all, he trusted Rui's skill. So what did he do? He went for a simpler production, but one that had a powerful impact. He didn't need tricky stunts, fancy techs, battle scenes, nor even a scenario. All he needed were a taiko drum, a banner flag, Akito, and everyone in Team Red (which is probably around 90-150 students, so the fact that Tsukasa and Team Red leader managed to unite that many students in a short time was impressive).
(Akito and Tsukasa's relationship is so interesting though. The fact that even though Akito cooperated with Tsukasa only in White Day event, Tsukasa whole-heartedly trusted Akito's ability).
I also think that kind of production is what Tsukasa was used to. Although he likes Rui's elaborate production because he believes that he can flourish under Rui's direction, he most likely feels more familiar producing a simple one. After all, there's not much you can do in a hospital room. He probably made do with what he was allowed to bring so he wouldn't disturb other patients (voice volume aside).
Also, I think it's neat that Team Blue production was fascinating but Team Red production was intimidating. While Rui's production was to get across Team Blue leader's spirit by showing it to their audience, Tsukasa's production was to get across Team Red leader's spirit by involving the audience to act as Team Red's enemies. Its success basically hinged on the audience reaction, and it was also in-line with what Tsukasa said in his Kamitaka Cultural Fes card side story. Tsukasa pays attention to his audience reaction, and by receiving their feedbacks he adjusted his acting onstage in real-time so he could draw the reactions that he and the audience want. It's what makes stage acting different from film acting--the audience's presence (there's a lot of YT vids about it too).
(Btw I'm a sucker for the kind of directing that Team Red used, so ngl I got chills from just imagining the scene from the in-game descriptions.)
Rui won by a landslide because he went for the most eye-catching and complicated production that only he could pull off, but in terms of production value I think Tsukasa was able to compete with him just fine.
Actually, scratch that. Where's the team solidarity?? Back in my HS days we would vote for our own group so we could win. They meant to tell me that most of Team Red and Team Green voted for Team Blue? Traitors, the lot of them.
hello mizuki fans

me as a mother trying to relate to my rhythm gamer son: if you full combo your vegetables there’s a four star card in the freezer gacha called ‘ice cream’
ok so something i noticed about the new cards
so like . the trained versions of tsukasa, nene, and emus event feature all three of them in a pop up book of sorts, which is a consistent theme in this events cards
all of the trained cards have this, excluding rui’s, which has him holding a book close to his chest instead
it feels somewhat out of place, right? until you consider rui’s role in wxs.
he’s the director. he’s the one directing their shows, and writing their stories. it’d make sense that he’s the one holding the book, along with the pen next to him implying that he wrote it, guiding their direction. him holding the book so close shows how he cherishes wxs, he cherishes a place where he can be himself and he cherishes the people there who see him for who he is . GOD i rambled for way too long anyways conclusion is this set is so good
Tsukasa: i dont think we can mansplain, manipulate or malewife our way out of this one.
Rui: *crackles knuckles*
Rui: manslaughter it is
