Could you do one shot/drabble of Cybertronian earth based reader showing Shockwave the wonders that is earth plants (this is also an assignment to you to learn the wonders that is earth plants)

Uh, I tried to make the version of shockwave not specific, but it kind of ended up being TFP Shockwave due to the layout of background information. Anyway, have some plant facts. By the way, I got most of my plant information from Google. If I have anything wrong blame Google, you can also let me know and teach me something new. I love plants and learning about them.

Shockwave rarely spent time in other cons rooms. He had no need to, if he required them he would call them to his lab or meet them in a neutral area. He liked having his privacy and respects that they may also like theirs.

However, he wanted you for a task and you were not answering him. So he found his way to your personal quarters and knocked on the door.

No answer. Shockwave was starting to wonder where you had got to. You had not been scheduled for a mission, he did not recall Megatron delivering any orders to you. But was it possible you had left the ship?

Shockwave was about to head to Soundwave to ask if he had seen you leave, and to check on your location. When you suddenly appeared round the corner.

"Oh, Shockwave what a surprise. What are you doing on this side of the ship?" You asked as you walked towards him.

"I was looking for you." He replied. He looked at your servos. You were carrying an organic item. Long green leaves extended from a pot. The leaves were larger than the pot, yet in your servos they still looked tiny. "Why did you bring that aboard?" Shockwave asked perplexed, he couldn't imagine Megatron would have any need for organic life on his ship.

"Because it's nice."

"Your opinion on the organic does not answer my question. I still don't understand why you would bring it aboard. It serves no purpose." Shockwave stated. "Surely it will perish here, I believe organic life needs the sun to survive."

"Ah, well, that is the beauty of these plants. Come on I'll show you." You opened the door to your quarters and allowed Shockwave in. He was hesitant at first but entered upon your invitation.

Mostly the room was like any other on the ship, there was a berth and a workstation. The only difference was the many plants covering the entire surface of the workstation. Lamps and bulbs strung above them shining a bright white light down on the organic matter.

You walked over to the workstation and placed your new plant down in an empty space upon it. You then grabbed a large bucket and began scooping water out of it. Water pooled into your servos and you carefully watered your many plants, being careful with how much you gave each one. Once you were done you put the bucket down and turned to Shockwave.

"Come closer, come on. They won't hurt you."

Shockwave had been standing by your door. He stalked closer. He could feel the small amount of heat coming from the lamps and bulbs you had strung up on your wall.

"You are right about organic life needing sunlight. However, some plants can survive on very little sunlight. They adapted themselves to be able to survive with barely any light or water, and still flourish and bloom beautifully. They are quite impressive. I mean imagine being able to go so long without Energon and not get weak, but actually get stronger without it." You expressed, admiring your collection of organic flora.

"That is quite impressive." Shockwave scanned over the leafy greens. There was a lot of variety, more than he would expect to find alive and well on a Decepticon ship.

"This one is called a Bromeliad. Bromeliads are tropical plants and can grow from two to three feet tall. Extended exposure to full sun can damage a bromeliad’s leaves. Bromeliads can also thrive on fluorescent lighting, which is why I have these light bulbs." You waved your hand over the lamps. "This is a Dracaena. Dracaena’s are among the top air-purifying plants that can filter out the toxins in your home. Many humans have them to help purify the air in their living spaces. Now all of these beauties can survive on little sun, but they still need some. So I take turns to switch them out and let them have some outside time. You rarely go up there but I lay out a few on the landing zone atop the ship. But I monitor their exposure carefully and don't ever leave them outside too long." You explained.

"Fascinating." Shockwave acknowledged. He examined the flora, noting how each leaf was different from the other.

"Actually, there is one I want to show you. Come follow me." You left the room, Shockwave right behind you. You had piqued his interest with your vast knowledge of Earth's plant life. You directed him to the large open landing zone on top of the ship.

In the corner by the door was a table that had been welded to the floor. On the table were several plants, different from the ones in your room. They were strapped down to the table with wire, rope, and gripping contraptions. At the end of the table was a small potted plant. You unwrapped a rope from around the pot and picked it up, you then thrust it towards Shockwave so he could take a closer look.

"This is the only one that requires a lot of sunlight. But it is my favorite so I couldn't resist taking it."

"And why is that?"

"It's called a Venus flytrap! The Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant, and it actually eats living creatures. Mostly small things like flies or spiders, anything that can fit inside. The “trap” is made of two hinged lobes at the end of each leaf. On the inner surfaces of the lobes are hair-like projections called trichomes that cause the lobes to snap shut when prey comes in contact with them." You explained as you carefully pointed to each part of the plant, naming each limb and leaf. You went on a long speech, explaining in great detail what the Venus fly trap did, how it ate, how it lived, and how beautiful you thought it was. "Isn't it incredible! I mean a plant that eats creatures. Earth is incredible, don't you agree?"

"I must admit I am surprised by Earth's organic life. I thought many of its life forms to be weak and useless. But you have shown me that some of it is quite, astonishing. To see such small things thrive without much care is intriguing." Shockwave agreed. "In fact, many of your facts about Earth's organic life have given me a lot to think about in regards to our own lives and survival. Perhaps there are things we can learn from these, plants."

"I agree Shockwave. I learn something new every day when caring for them. If you want I have many more facts." You smiled, happy to have another con taking an interest in your hobby.

"I am interested to hear what you have to say. Now I do not wish to take any of your personal stash. But perhaps you could get me a plant for my own personal quarters. Something unique."

"I can definitely do that! I have quite a few in mind that I think you will like." You cheered, excited to share your love of plants with another being.

Shockwave was thinking about all the scientific possibilities he could learn from organic life. There wouldn't be much that would be useful to him, since they are made up of such different materials. But learning about their survival and the limits they can reach before demise may be interesting.

Finally finishing the genshin oc saga, but I'm also gonna be finishing another one in a bit, so maybe not the end yk??

Anyway, today's oc is Lukas!

The owner of Blight Farm, a farm affiliated with the Knights of Favonius, often supplied them with materials and crops.

Lukas is a kind and gentle soul, rarely wanting to hurt anyone or anything. But he also possesses inhumane strength, being able to lift stuff double his weight without breaking a sweat. Despite his usual sweet nature, he can become far more menacing when those close to him are put in danger, willing to do anything he can to help them.

Went to the Master Gardeners sale today- they sell off their cuttings at crazy prices- and as always I went with dork reasons for what I purchased.

I got a plant called the Wandering Dude- used to be wandering jew but obv not a great look- bc my first thought was "holy shit it's the walking dude! From the stand!" It's a spreading plant, hence the wandering part, but it's also hecking purple and pretty!

And then I got a guy called 'Solomons seal' which is metal as fuck!

And another called Dark Heart which is just metal and gloriously purple.

And oregono and peppermint because I swear to the gods I will grow herbs if it kills me!

I also got these two weirdos. Because I am a weirdo. Theyre my sons and I love then.
