how about that uhhhhh Fantasy Julie. she gets her sword <3 no one can take it from her <3
rambles:
SIKE you get an extra, lower quality doodle
SIKE AGAIN here's the rambles
yeah... i caved and gave her a tail... I'm Not Sorry! it's cute! i wanted to stick with her sorta flower motif - it's stronger in her princess look, since I imagine that when she was part of the royals she was very blatantly flower power based. it was her Thing!
but a Julie free of her noble shackles... she deserves her big sword. like yeah, she has flower magic, but who needs it when she has a Giant Blade??? on the royalty vein, and if we're classifying "rainbow monster" as a species, i feel like horn size/curve would be a status symbol of some kind. maybe Julie would have kept her horns filed short. but if she ran away from that life... longer horns! i like to imagine that they'll keep growing until she has a pair of Extra Weapons attached to her head! curved forward like mammoth tusks maybe!
i imagine that like Frank, she goes with minimal armor - range of movement over protection, yk? some scale mail over her front, a thick leather flower over her chest w/ scalloped leather pauldrons, wrist armor and metal knuckles! i'd think that the faux-suspenders include a back sheath for her sword... i wish i'd thought of that Before i finished the little ref! i don't feel like going back and editing!
i imagine that she was forced to cut her hair when it got caught in something (a gelatinous cube, mayhaps). it didn't look good! don't let anime and Mulan fool you! cutting your own hair with a blade will not look nice! but someone - Eddie, probably, he's good with scissors i'd assume - cleaned it up for her. and hey, it didn't look bad! plus, Julie probably liked being able to just tuck up her long strands into her hat when she's feeling a bit more like a Julius than a Julie!
it's been a fun challenge transforming their canon outfits into a similar variation with fantasy flavoring and twists! i want them to suit the setting but still maintain Themselves! Julie's was tough i gotta admit. i was messing around with the princess look and the fighter look side-by-side. it worked better when i sat back and thought "fighter Julie is Julie unrestrained. that version would be more aligned with her canon look"
i wanted her princess form to look Restrained! she has to be a ~delicate flower~, a noble woman, pristine and poised and very much a princess. soft colors, poofy clothing, bright white gloves that are not to be sullied. carefully bundled up hair! jewelry! that dress must be Heavy and hard to move in! her tail must be so cramped under there!
but Julie Unleashed? violent pinks! rose gold accents! short skirt so that she can sprint and Kick! fun boots that she can be active in and delight in watching them get dirty! her hair is free to whip in the wind and get caught in things! fun straps and Deadly Accessories! a sword that she stole from the royal armory on her way out the window! she has forearm wraps both to match Frank and to support her wrists!

I dont understand how the same man who wrote the absolute insulting atrocity that is the Harley & Ivy comic (and the fuckint Harvest comic i stg) is the same one behind the Harley & Ivy episode and this
[Ivy disappearing on the other line is because she Immediately left when she heard what Joker had said.
She may have been teasing Harley and laughing at first when she was going on about all the things planned for her birthday night with her love, probably because Ivy knows he doesn't have a romantic hone in his entire body. but the second he Actually did something, he pulled the plug on her special night because he wanted to go do the "Yacht Club Job", she wasn't having it.
"No way was that going to happen."
"Look at her smile. Isn't this better than robbing that stuffy old yacht club? So glad I ran into you en route."
Just those lines of hers :')
Like even though she thinks he sucks and she knows he probably wouldn't have made the night as wonderful as Harley deserved in the first place, damnit she deserved Something. something other than him leaving her behind on standby in case they need a get away driver.]
like does this man flip a coin every time he writes Ivy and decides whether or not he wants to characterize her accurately or make her essentially a joker stand in purely so they can add plain ol' slapstick humor. it's fucking baffling to me. like who the fuck creates a character who's in YOUR og canon an abuse victim and the literal episode her and Ivy meet in that fact is reiterated time and time again. it built Ivy up as someone that really is going to care about her and wants to help her improve her mental health because he's destroyed her self esteem.
and then to take that bond YOU made and throw them into a disgusting, over sexualized comic that you incorporate fucking slapstick humor into?!?! Like wtf is wrong with him how do you manage to create a couple great (female centric) stories but most of the time just come off as nasty and frankly sexist.
p*ul d*ni i just wanna talk, i swear i will not viciously bite your ankles i swear

Inspired by his homeland, Italian-born designer Danilo Silvestrin devised for his Munich client a star-crowned bel gioco di tetti - a fine play of roofs. The diffuse white glow from the window merges with the warmer light from the baseboard horizon.

can we just talk about the fact that ahri's elderwood skin can pour her magic back into nature to bring it to life, and how her coven skin can draw magic from nature and utilize it as her own.
i already headcanoned a long time ago that she draws magic from the world around her ( though it's less of a headcanon since it's actual canon now -- i just wrote it before coven came out some three years ago! ) but anyway i just think it's neat. it's nice to imagine she can do this to some extent in her regular canon; not necessarily as powerfully because these abilities are both so distinctly tied to the worlds of these respective skinlines, but if ahri can use her magic to heal herself, why not nature? i mean, it's quite literally just guiding raw magic back into the world around her, and she is already masterful at drawing it out— so. yeah, ahri can make little blossoms bloom or bring little plants back to life if they're droopy. she can also pull that same magic out and shift it around, even transferring it from one physical source to another.
she's adept at manipulating magic, i mean, that's what her canonical tribe was known for after all: their otherworldly mastery over magic manipulation!

The “after” looks like the “before” in those cleaning videos where someone smoked in the house for 40 years.
Or Jill had to make the decor as chaotic as possible to distract Jonathan from the ceiling boob lights
Yes lol absolutely, the yellow on yellow is very much giving my house when we first bought it from a family who smoked like, 5 packs a day inside with all of the windows shut 🙃. Which, just as an aside, I do not recommend a house like that as your first fixer-upper but neither of us were smokers or lived with any so we didn't know it would be so hard to get rid of.
Literally every "improvement" they made just aged the shit out of that space. The yellow just doesn't go with the cool-toned backsplash and deep red accented stuff in that kitchen in any way, and the rope lights around the cabinets look so harsh and out of place with the grandma-y decor, it's just a whole ass mess. A yellow wall (if they must have one) with the original white cabinets and a warm-toned backsplash would've made so much more sense, and then some fairy lights under the cabinets would've looked SOOO much better if they wanted a little string of lights under there. All of that would even have made the lacey kitchen drapes work better imo (which look so out of place otherwise).
And those tall fake plant arrangements Jill loves to cram in every corner of her house are so 90s tuscan-themed McMansion, they just are so dated and bad unforgivable to me lol I hate them. And there is NO reason for one to be in a kitchen!!
Idk Jill unfortunately passed down a lot of her aesthetic to Kaylee, I know a lot of people don't agree with me lol but I think Kaylee's taste is very much like Jill's even more than Nurie. So whatever floats her boat I guess, she has to live there not me.
