#406. In Generations IV and V, if the Player uses the move Chatter out of battle via the Party menu, the Player can recored audio using the Nintendo DS/3DS's microphone, setting the (albeit distorted) audio as Chatot's cry as well as when it uses Chatter. This also increases Chatter's chance of confusing the oponent. (X)

Yknow, it took a very long time for me to realise what the title of pokemon x y (and z) meant bc up until then they were all pretty solid counterparts. Red, blue and yellow, the primary colours. Gold, silver and crystal, the luxurious. Ruby, sapphire and emerald, not only precious gems but the rgb colours (and just colour matching the legendaries too). Diamond (the classic ‘most valuable’ stone), pearl (the classic ‘most valuable’ biological ‘stone’), and platinum (the classic ‘most valuable’ metal). Black and white.
After x and y we of course had sun and moon, sword and shield and finally scarlet and violet (infrared and ultraviolet, the two ends of the colour spectrum. The only reason they wouldn’t have called it pokemon infrared and ultraviolet is bc pokemon red already exists and ppl would think it was a gen 1 remake, and ultra sun/moon also already exists).
But back when x and y came around, and I thought ‘it’s just letters, I know that the legendaries sort of look like them but if it’s opposites then shouldn’t it be a and z?’ (Cool how they brought that back with legends z-a)
And it took me way too fucking long to realise that x y and z are the three digital planes to symbolise Pokémon’s first mainline 3D game. Idk I just thought that was neat.

[Sammie discovers people like insane league members]
Thank you for the 200 kudos for my story!
A project so far I'm working on, which I am hoping is an "Ode to the NPCs" of the gym leaders, elites, and champions of Kanto through Unova. 35 chapters published so far, will go up to 70 chapters cycling each elite/gym leader with an ongoing plot and world-building throughout the years, and will go through the league's POV of what goes on during the games. This will focus more-so on how the elites and gym leaders get their roles in the league, their backstories, and their relationships with each other.
More things you can expect:
Competitiveness between the leagues of Indigo (with Johto), Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova.
Morally grey elites and gym leaders. Gym leaders and elites given more personality, an expansion on what we're given in the games. Will also leave little to the imagination on how a bunch of ten-year-olds had to save the day.
Agatha's struggle to gain power as a new elite, something that changes as the years go by and how she becomes that of a legend in the leagues.
Sinnoh with an underdog story, dubbed as the worst in battling, until Bertha walks into the Sinnoh league as the first female league member, which inspires a young Cynthia to become the first female champion in history.
Backstories about the gym leaders and elites, each character getting a chapter to themselves while still having an ongoing plot of the competition, as these are not just one-shots of each character. Each character is cycled every chapter to keep the story going.
Mentorships between characters, such as Agatha and Lance, Bertha and Lucian, Juan and Wallace, to name a few.
Friendships between characters in the same league, found family, and a bit of romance that's touched upon.
Rivalries between characters from differing leagues, and sometimes, it's not friendly at all.
How elites obtain legendary status and influence throughout the years.
Tensions slowly building between the regions as the competition begins to change.
