For whatever reason I can see it being a Fatui that kidnapped you. Perhaps to get payback for the massacre Diluc caused back in Snenznaya. Whatever the reason, once Diluc finds out you’re gone and it was because of the Fatui? Oh he’s more then pissed.
If they wanted to upset him, they succeeded. Perhaps too successfully as when he finally finds you, most of the Fatui that’s been there to ensure you don’t escape has been soaking in a pool of their own blood. He of course won’t hurt anyone violently if you’re in the room, but he will knock the other people in there out. He’ll pick you up and hide your face in his chest as he calmly walks out.
When you are back home, he’ll take a few days off work to ensure you’re okay after what happened, and maybe if it comes to it he may actually ask some of the Knights of Favonius for help as well.
Honestly whether or not he actually hurt anyone is up to you, however I do think that when it comes to family, he isn't that hesitant to be a bit more violent then usual.
Tumblr media
Getting adopted and having your father being the ex-archon of Liyue had it's ups and downs, especially as you witnessed your father continuously forget his wallet, however never have you thought you'd get kidnapped.
You weren't sure why though, Zhongli had kept his identity a secret and the only ones knowing were other Archons and the traveler as far as you knew plus Zhongli in his "mortal" form isn't that much of an important figure to others, nor is he famous. Yet here you were, treasure hoarders surrounding you.
Meanwhile, Zhongli was panicking wondering where you went. One second you were close behind him, the next you were gone. So he quickly called upon some of the adeptus to search for you and thankfully, you also had the privilege to call upon Xiaos name and he'll come right to your side. Whatever happened to the treasure hoarders?
You're not sure, Xiao simply teleported you away and right into your fathers arms as he held you tight before disappearing into the green mist once again. Zhongli checks all over you to ensure you aren't hurt. After that day, he's sure to always have an eye on you and when he cannot. An adeptus will look out for you from afar.
Tumblr media
Being a Knight, and a captain in fact. Kaeya definitely encountered people wanting to push his cool persona over the edge. It's part of the reason why he's a bit hesitant on growing closer to certain loved ones.
He's afraid of loosing them, so when he lost you. He did not take it well, despite his cool demeanour when he ordered some knights to go search for you, people like Jean and his brother Diluc were quick to see he was in a state of panic, Jean even offered to take over the search so Kaeya could relax but he didn't want too. He had to find you safe and sound, even if that meant he had to get hurt.
When you are finally found, he's quick to take whoever's responsible away and have Jean deal with them properly as he himself brings you to Barbara who checks for injuries you may have sustained. He's by your side at all times and may even be hesitant to leave your side.
Even though Jean likely did give him some time off to spend time with you and for him to cool down after what happened, he's still unwilling to leave you alone, even with another babysitter. He does reluctantly agree when his older brother offers to take care of you. He knows Diluc is strong and will be able to protect you. (Better than Diluc protecting him anyways)
Tumblr media
Whoever kidnapped you must have a death wish or something...
Of course it's easy to see why someone were to kidnap you. I mean, being the kid of not only the fatui, but a harbinger. It's clear why someone tried to kidnap Tartaglia's kid but...it's not smart either.
The Fatui have a large amount of people working for them, and most aren't afraid to attack. And due to the fact Childe is a harbinger, it's easy for him to get people to find you as soon as he knows of your disappearance and when you are found, he asks his subordinates to take you back to his house where his family will look after you whilst Childe *cough cough* uh...deals with the perps responsible.
He'll come back soon, cleaned up but faintly smelling of blood and double checks to see you're okay. Now he does go back to work faster then anyone else, this is mainly because I don't think he'll really be allowed time off, however he does have some subordinates keep an eye on you from afar.
Tumblr media
Oh archons, he is p a n i c k i n g. Once Kaveh finds out you've been kidnapped he's so worried, it takes Alhaitham to actually shake him to get him to finally focus on finding you. Unfortunately unlike the others listed in this post so far, he cannot easily go looking for you himself. However being friends with Cyno does mean you have the General of the Mahamatra looking for you and he is good at his job.
It may take awhile but eventually Cyno does find you, and after dealing with the kidnappers and arresting them. Takes you to the Sumeru hospital (they have one right?) to get healed as he tells Kaveh that you've been found.
Kaveh stays by your side no matter what, he'll sleep on the damn floor of the hospital if he has too, he doesn't even leave you once you're discharged from it either. He feels so guilty about what happened and blames himself so he tries his best to make more time with you. Even if this means his debts may increase, he just wants to spend as much time with you as possible encase this happens again.
And hey, Alhaitham may be kind enough to dismiss Kavehs missed rent payment that month.
Tumblr media
Weehee. I actually enjoyed writing this :D However next time please make sure to check to see if my requests are open before sending one in, in any case I hope you liked this <33

CHILD OF THE DARK KNIGHT HERO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: Master Diluc and the one who's learned his trade pairing: platonic!diluc x gn!reader, slight angst to lots of fluff notes: reader has a Vision at one point, may be ooc wc: 0.4K warnings.ᐟ slightly dark at the beginning, mentions of kidnapping, child neglect and abandonment, child labor and human trafficking
Tumblr media
✦ As a child, your mother had abandoned you and your father was never present
✦ Inevitably she found a way to get rid of you by leaving you in the woods and 'promising' that she'd some back - which she never did
✦ Eventually, the Treasure Hoarders snatched you off the side of the road and brought you to their camp and forced you to work
✦ They made you carry their heavy stuff or work with the miners
✦ Soon, there were some 'dirty' Fatui who were doing more than patrolling the area, they were buying children for labor...and you were one of them
✦ You had managed to get out of the establishment and run far off and out of their clutches
✦ When Diluc was returning from a business venture, he found you hidden behind a large tree
✦ He coaxed you into his carriage to bring you to his home. It took quite a while but he didn't give up on you
✦ It took forever for you to allow the maids to clean you up but Diluc told them to follow your pace and flow
✦ The maids were happy to do so since Diluc had no children and they were excited to care for a cute little kid
✦ You received your own room and your meals were brought to you until your injuries healed
✦ Diluc made sure that you received the best clothes made from the best fabrics, the most nourishing food, and he always gave you a hot water bottle that was wrapped in a thick cable knit yarn to ensure you were warm when you slept
✦ After a while, you were well enough to wander around the manor, Diluc stayed out of his office more to make sure that you would feel safe in his home
✦ Sometimes he would leave for a long period of time but he would always come back with lots and lots of gifts - he loves to spoil you, he feels as if you deserve such treatment
✦ It took about a year for you to warm up to him but it happened and after your child brain had gone through, he understood that all you needed was the reassurance that he would protect you
✦ You began to get closer to him and would join him in his office at times, you ate meals with him, and would follow him around in the vineyards
✦ He would sit at your bedside and read you stories after he tucks you into bed
✦ A few times as a child you've climbed into his bed to hide from nightmares and he always welcomed you
✦ He had no problem playing dress up and would gladly be the princess
✦ As you grew, he hired the best private tutors to teach you and give you the best possible education that any child in Mondstat could receive
✦ After you saw him practicing with his claymore in the training grounds, you pestered him to teach you how to use the same type of weapon
✦ At first he was unsure given your weak state but you followed him around for two months with a promise to be careful
✦ This spiraled into you wanting to become a knight and he was a little hesitant due to the possible influence from Kaeya but he agreed and thus began your training
✦ On a side note, your education began to turn to commerce, economy, and business
✦ Since, y'know, he planned to have you inherit the winery
✦ You had begun to join him on charity events in the other nations, galas/balls, business meetings and the like
✦ He tries to keep you away from Kaeya's antics but that didn't work out when Kaeya tried to give you a sip of wine at the dinner table
✦ On the topic of Kaeya he loves you
✦ He brings you to Mondstat with him with Diluc is busy (much to Diluc's chagrin)
✦ With Diluc's guidance, you graduated at the top of your class as a knight and was inducted straight into the Calvary
✦He was so proud of you when you received your Vision
✦ He slowly begins to pass his work onto you to prepare you to take control of the winery
✦ He gives you a position at Angel's Share as a bartender when you become a teenager
✦ Kaeya always gives you a very generous tip when he comes to the tavern. He's tipping 80% instead of 20%
✦ Weekend evenings are spent in the fields surrounding Dawn Winery having picnics or on the water behind the manor
✦ He teaches you how to mix simple drinks and pats your head when you get it right
✦ Additionally, he lets you braid his hair while he does his work
✦ Just you standing on a chair behind him with his hair full of clips and braids
✦ There are little touches of you all around the manor - the portrait of you and him that hangs above the mantle in the sitting room, the vases of flowers that you picked on your adventures outside, the books that now occupy once empty surfaces, a smaller jacket next to his by the front door, the stuffed toys that are sometimes left in the sitting room on accident, and wooden swords that are left by the stairs or in the hallway
✦ Compared to when he first found you, it's like you're a family now
✦ He really did raise you well

In a House, Not a Home
The city of freedom's winds are suffocating
You learned this the hard way, and Diluc and Kaeya had to accept it no matter how much harder it is
spoilers - Diluc and Kaeya Backstories (mostly just Diluc)
genre: angst, platonic
characters: diluc, kaeya, jean, ragnvindr sibling GN!reader, implied venti
warnings: reader gets a few wounds and scrapes but nothing too bad, reader hates mondstadt
notes: hello i'm back and with angst :DD this work is mostly inspired by me scrolling through the platonic genshin x reader tag, but specifically its based off of @kazewhara's diluc and kaeya younger sibling fic autophobia, so inspiration credits to faer!
(sorry if the mention bothers you, and if you feel uncomfortable please tell me so I can remove it!)
The title is derived from the song Brother by Madds Buckley
Tumblr media
Mondstadt isn't the same anymore
After that day, after the past few years
You walk through the lonely roads of Mondstadt, once the city you had so much pride for as a child of the Ragnvindr house, now just the source of all your miseries
How long has it been since your brother had come home?
How long has it been since you avoided your adopted brother's gaze?
How long has the air and wind you used to love so much felt like poison in your lungs?
You stop in a secluded corner near the Knights of Favonius headquarters, staring at the training grounds with an empty gaze
In the past, you and your brothers would train there all day. You'd all make bets on who'd win a spar, and you'd laugh as you and Kaeya bantered about who would gain their visions next after Diluc
It was a childhood filled with hope, with love, with family
It was a childhood that seems like but a distant dream in another worldline
Maybe, in that other worldline, you and your brothers are still a trio
Maybe, you still had family, at least
Maybe, you still had freedom
Ever since Diluc's departure, a part of your life became a pre-written destiny. To take over your family's business, to decide what to do with your father's belongings, to be thrust with responsibilities your free-spirited mind was just not ready for
Your life became a novel with chapters among chapters of events that already existed, but still has yet to happen
The city of freedom became the shackles binding you to the suffocating pressure of the world. And eventually, the city you used to love became the city you hated the most
When the fight happened, how many times did you pray to the Anemo archon?
When your father died, when Diluc left, what did the Knights of Favonius do for you and your family?
When the streets of Mondstadt became riddled with rumours and gossip spread like dandelions, didn't the wind only help deliver those words further?
You grew a hatred for everything you've ever loved. You grew a hatred for the winery, a job you never wished to work for. A hatred for the Knights of Favonius, the place where you met all the people you cherished. A hatred for the city you grew up in and the archon you were raised to always believe in
You grew a hatred for your brothers, who threw away years worth of siblinghood and left you all alone in the biting cold of the wind
In a way, you ended up exactly like those brothers you hated the most
And that realization hurts
The tears fall from your eyes faster than you can collect yourself. You hurriedly turn away from the training grounds, pulling your hood further down your face after realizing the wind pushed it back before quickly dashing back to the house you no longer call home
Unaware of the gazes stuck on your retreating figure
Jean sighs at the scene not unfamiliar to her. You often visit during the nighttime, when her workload gets heavy and she has to work overtime. The sight of you only makes her heart heavier. Always, she's wondering how to make things right between you three again, especially as your childhood friend
Her eyes land on the one watching the same scene as her. His expression is just as cold as his vision
Her tongue darts to her lips, trying to find the right words not as the Acting Grandmaster, but as Jean, his childhood friend
“It's not too late to repair your relationship, you know?” Her words don't work
Maybe it's because the childhood Kaeya that Jean knew died during the fight with Diluc
Kaeya stares, and that's all he ever does in that room. He stares at the spot where you cried. He stares at the training ground that held dear memories for the part of him that no longer existed
And he leaves the room without uttering a single word
How cruel of the Acting Grandmaster to summon him there under the pretext of urgent business, only to show him the sight he dreaded to see the most
His hand grazes the cryo vision hanging from his belt. He catches it in his grasp, and clutches it tight
A few days later at the winery, you are doing the exact opposite
The anemo vision that shines on your window ledge is a curse
It's a mockery from the heavens, from the gods who witnessed your life and from those who know you detest everything related to the city of freedom that shackles you
Of course. Right as you decide to run away from everything Mondstadt related, you were blessed by yet another shackle. Another chain with too many locks and too little keys
Is the Anemo archon messing with you? You glare hard at the vision. Then, you pick it up from the window ledge and throw it away as far as you can
No, you will no longer be bound by anything relating to this damned city of freedom. You will no longer be a character of this unhappy novel
You sit on the ledge, grabbing onto the wooden bars of the walls. Then you move your feet until you feel a barrel
While still clutching onto the wooden bars of the outer wall, you carefully climb down the stacked barrels of wine. You wince multiple times at the splinters that enter your hand, but you ignore them for the sake of finally, finally leaving the suffocating winery
Only, you misstep
And you land right on your back, the wind brushing past your figure as you fell, as if the god of freedom himself was laughing at you
“Fuck..” You curse under your breath. The splinters on your hands hurt and— you hurriedly look up —the barrels are falling
You barely manage dodge the avalanche of wine barrels, your heart rate picking up as the sound draws attention from the maids and workers still awake in the dead middle of the night
A corner of the wooden barrel grazes your ankle, but the only thing registering in your mind is that you need to run
And so, that's what you did. For the first time in four years, you devoted yourself to a single action, one that you made yourself
Running for your life
And as you jump over the stone fence, as you hide among the grapevines and run along the path towards the stone gate of Liyue with the wind carding its hands through your hair, you realize
This is freedom
You're hurt with the ache on your back from where you fell earlier, with stinging wounds and scrapes all over your body due to how fast you're running, due to the fact that there are people chasing after you right now and calling out your name for you to come back
You're leaving behind the only world you've ever known
For the first time in four years, you let out a heartfelt laugh. A laugh full of hope, a laugh full of love, the winds carrying your voice seemingly throughout the entirety of Mondstadt
The gleam of an Anemo vision shines in your peripheral vision, and you see a bunch of Cryo slimes bouncing around it
You run straight towards them
“Young liege!” You hear their worried voices. “Please, come back! It's dangerous!”
A smile graces your face and you swore you could feel the wind boosting your tired, aching feet
Nothing has ever felt more in place than the Anemo vision you picked up in your hand, as circling blades of Anemo whirled up on your feet like roller skates
With the servants blocked by the Cryo slimes, and the Anemo roller blades helping you travel across the path, you allowed yourself to be wholly, rightfully free
The tinkling of the wind resounds around you. This time, it seems like the Anemo archon is laughing alongside you
Laughing as you leave behind the people you've known all your life. As you leave behind the Cavalry Captain waiting for you to arrive at your shift at the tavern. As you leave behind the red haired man who disappeared to who knows where for four years, leaving you behind in the suffocating airs of the city of freedom
Their only remaining family remains in that childhood from another worldline and you're alone yet again
But this time you choose to be
And you'll never let another being chain you down ever again
Tumblr media
— Usually I don't like outwardly telling the readers what vision they have since I like to keep it pretty open in case one of you wants your own vision, but its necessary for this story, so here!

Found Family(Platonic Genshin + Child!Reader)
Request!!: Ok get this— platonic fluff, how certain characters react to meeting child reader for the first time- i just want that tooth rotting, coma inducing, sweet fluff. Whether its both as kids, or idk they’re adopting you as a kid or you’re their new sibling la k e please i need this— anyway imagine like kaeya, diluc, razor, Xiao, Aether——ok anyway toodle loo
Warnings: None that I can think of??
Characters: Aether, Diluc, Jean(feat. Barbara), Kaeya, Razor, Xiao
Notes: I went ahead and added Jean and Barbara in the mix because I love Jean, I hope that’s okay!
Aether
Aether was no stranger to kids.
He’d helped care for many in the other worlds he’d visited with Lumine, but you still came to him as a surprise.
He’d found you in Mondstadt, scared and alone in the streets, and the first thing he did was take you to the Knights of Favonius headquarters to search for your parents.
Unfortunately, nothing had come up within two weeks, and by that time, you had gotten attached.
Aether took it in stride, welcoming you like a big brother would, with a smile and open arms. He often times takes you traveling and will leave you with trusted individuals if a particular commission is too dangerous.
It’s late by the time Aether returns to the Wangshu Inn. Verr Goldet greets him with a warm smile, handing him the key he’d left with her to make sure you were being cared for while he was gone.
“How were they?”
“Well-behaved, as always,” Verr Goldet responds, laughing softly to herself. “They might still be awake, though. They insisted on staying up to welcome you home.”
Aether’s heart swells hearing that, and his eyes burn with unshed tears, though he doesn’t let them fall. Instead, he thanks Verr Goldet and quickly makes his way up the stairs and to the room that you’d be sharing for the night.
As she had said, there you were, sitting up in the bed in your pajamas, squinting sleepily at the door as it creaked open. “Welcome back,” you mutter, trying (and failing) to stifle a yawn.
“[Name], you should be asleep by now,” Aether gently scolds, walking toward the bed after he removes his boots. He scoops you into his arms as he settles down on the bed, caging you in a warm hug.
“I wanted to make sure you came back safely,” you respond, your voice growing quieter as the added warmth draws you further into dreamland.
God, Aether almost died after hearing you say that.
He vows to protect you with his life, holding you close as you fall asleep.
Your family may have had a strange start, but you two wouldn’t have it any other way.
Diluc
You were, by no means, a surprise.
Diluc had planned meticulously for your arrival after receiving word from the Knights of Favonius that they had recovered a child from a village that had been ransacked by the Abyss.
You were quiet for the first few days, slightly unnerved by the new surroundings and the sheer amount of people (Diluc and the staff) doting on you, but eventually you warmed up to everyone.
Eventually, you took to following Diluc around the vineyards surrounding the manor, and even “patrolling” it on your own to make sure there were no grape thieves.
It didn’t bother you when Diluc had to leave for long periods of time either.
You knew about his work as the “Darknight Hero”, though you had sworn you wouldn’t tell a single soul about it.
Adelinde was the one in charge of your care while Diluc was away, making sure you were well-fed and keeping up with your studies.
Diluc made sure to spend as much time as he could with you, remembering just how happy it made him that Crepus would play with him.
“[Name],” Diluc calls into the manner, shrugging his coat onto his shoulders. “Are you ready?”
“Almost!” comes the response, followed by the overhead thumping of your footsteps as you all but flew down the stairs. You grabbed your backpack, one that Albedo had kindly made for you, skidding to a stop at Diluc’s feet with a wide grin on your face.
Amused by your enthusiasm, Diluc snorts and reaches down to ruffle your hair. “Good,” he hums. “We wouldn’t want to be late to see everyone, now would we?”
His heart lifts at the way your face brightened further and you start excitedly rambling about getting to see Kaeya again. He takes your hand in his, and together, you begin the trek to the city.
Jean(feat. Barbara)
Barbara was the one who brought you to her.
You had just been deposited on the doorstep of the church with no clue as to who your family was or how you got there, so at a loss, Barbara brought you to her big sister for help.
A search was conducted, but unfortunately the results came up empty.
After learning such news, Jean decided that she would be the one to take care of you.
It was rocky at first, after all it had been years since Barbara had been a small child, but she eventually got the hang of it again.
The other Knights see you as a godsend, because ever since Jean took you in, she’s been taking more breaks instead of being cooped up behind her desk all the time.
You were quite the little troublemaker, and often got hurt while tripping over your own feet or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Barbara was exasperated by the fact, as was Jean, but they knew that you were just a kid, and scrapes were bound to happen now and again.
“Miss Barbara! Look what I found!”
Barbara lifts her head as you come bounding through the cathedral, a bundle of white flowers clutched tightly in your little hands.
“Oh? What is it, [Name]?”
She crouches down to get a better look. Cecilias.
“Flora gave them to me!” you exclaim proudly, eyes sparkling. “I thought you and Miss Jean would like them!”
Barbara’s smile widens at the thought. “Thank you so much,” she praises, placing a hand on your head. “Why don’t we go and give them to Jean now?”
You nod enthusiastically, and Barbara scoops you up into her arms, carrying you off to surprise your big sister.
Kaeya
Kaeya was the one to find you on the way to the Angel’s Share to have a drink with Rosaria.
You were new to the city, at least, that’s what Kaeya had assumed, considering he had never seen you before.
He had tried to ask you if you knew where your family was, to which you shook your head.
You had just moved to the city, and had gotten separated from your parents while you had been exploring.
Kaeya made it his personal mission to reunite you with your family, and luckily, that was done quickly.
Your parents were relieved that you’d been found and were safe, and thanked Kaeya profusely.
They quickly came to trust him, and were much more comfortable with letting you run around the city on your own if they knew he was patrolling.
You’re hiding around here somewhere. Kaeya knows that for a fact. You had a strange fixation with hiding from the Cavalry Captain so he could find you and start the game all over again.
He didn’t mind it, you were like a younger sibling to him, and your parents trusted him a great deal with your safety. The way you followed him around and begged him to play with you reminded him of when he and Diluc had been children, and the time spent with you filled the emptiness their bond had once filled.
Well, speak of the devil.
As Kaeya is lost in thought, a small weight slams into one of his legs, little arms wrapping around it as the Cavalry Captain stumbled with a good-natured laugh. “Well, hello to you too, [Name],” he greets you with a smile, his hand coming to land on your head.
You say nothing, only tipping your head back to beam up at him. The backpack on your shoulders tells him that school has just ended, and you had decided to seek him out before heading home.
“Tell me how your day was,” Kaeya says, taking your hand. “And I’ll make sure you get home safely.”
Razor
Razor had no clue what to do with you when he found you.
A small child wandering around Wolvendom? Didn’t you realize how dangerous that was, especially since you didn’t have a vision?
He tried his best to ask you questions and figure out where you came from, but he wasn’t getting anywhere on his own, so he ended up seeking out Bennett for help.
When he learned that you had no family to speak of, Razor decided right then and there that you would be part of his Lupical.
He set about teaching you how to hunt in the woods, and how to communicate with the wolves, though the latter took more time for you to master than he would have liked.
Nonetheless, you showed extreme promise as a hunter with your quick thinking and your sharp reflexes.
The wolves took to you very quickly as well, though Andrius was more apprehensive when Razor tried explaining the situation to him.
Eventually you were properly accepted into the pack, and Razor deigned you his younger sibling.
“Razor!”
The wolf boy turns, eyes lighting up when you come bounding through the trees.
“[Name]!”
He catches you in a hug when you throw yourself into his arms.
“How was the city?”
“Crowded,” you answer, beaming up at him. “I met with Lisa, though! She taught me how to read a bit more, and even gave me a book to bring back with me!” You turn, rummaging in your bag before pulling out the book in question.
It’s short, nothing more than a mere picture book, but the way your eyes gleam with pride is absolutely worth the accomplishment. “Proud of you,” Razor praises, and you seem to almost glow from the praise.
“After we eat, I could probably read to you and Lupical later,” you say excitedly, following your older brother as he begins to lead you back through the forest.
Razor only smiles. “Lupical would love that.”
Xiao
It was no secret that Xiao kept his distance from mortals.
He couldn’t risk them becoming affected by his karmic debt, but in the end, he can only avoid them until they start intentionally seeking him out.
Which, in some cases, was you.
You had been adopted by Verr Goldet and Huai’an, becoming a permanent resident of the inn where you were allowed to run amok and play to your heart’s content, so long as you stayed out of trouble.
The first time you’d run into Xiao was by complete accident.
You, in typical childlike curiosity, had snuck up to the balcony that you had been warned was completely off-limits, desperate to see the view from that high up.
And there he was, standing with his back turned to the doorway and arms crossed over his chest.
You greeted him politely, as you had seen Verr do when new guests arrived downstairs, and Xiao whirled around, staring at you with wide and bewildered eyes before disappearing in a flurry of black and green.
Huai’an found you soon after, scooping you up into his arms and bringing you back down the stairs, quietly scolding you for breaking the rules.
Curious, you asked your adoptive parents about the strange man standing on the balcony, and, unable to escape the situation, they told you the story of the Vigilant Yaksha.
Xiao knows you’re coming this time, senses on high alert for the child who he had come to learn was Verr Goldet’s child.
He’s thankful you hadn’t cried when he disappeared on you, not like the last child who had ventured up here. Startled the poor thing.
“You shouldn’t be up here,” he says, listening to your feet patter against the wooden balcony before coming to a stop behind him.
“I brought you something,” you say.
He already knows, he could smell the almond tofu all the way from the first floor.
Xiao turns to regard you carefully.
You smile. “I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for Liyue,” you say carefully. Verr Goldet must have helped you rehearse what you wanted to say. “I asked Smiley Yanxiao to make you your favorite.”
Xiao’s heart melts at the admission, though he would be quick to deny it. Instead, he mumbles a quiet thanks and takes the bowl from your outstretched hands.
Satisfied that your task is complete, you say goodbye to the adeptus and run for the stairs, tossing a promise that you’d be back tomorrow over your shoulder.
Xiao definitely isn’t looking forward to it. Not by a long shot.

You could hear your boots click against the solemn stone bricks of your porch, with no other sound accompanying your footsteps but the clashing of wine in the sealed crat. Your palms felt cold atop the the wooden barrel as you continued to roll it ahead, you would've just picked it up and delivered it to the carrier parked before the dawn winery but you were already much too exhausted from all the transporting you had done, and as the night stretched farther, it seemed that the wine increased in weight too, making your task harder to complete.
It wasn't like you were being forced into working until the dead of night, it was quite the opposite. Although the family winery is in your older brother's name, you put more effort into keeping it alive than he does or probably ever will, even while still young. You borrowed a few books from the library about business and read them until you couldn't keep your eyes open, you asked Elzer to teach you a thing or two about wine and it's wonders, and with hardwork, it didn't take you long to perfect every aspect of running an alcohol company. You took pride in helping around your father's business, some people even mistook it for your own, despite your evident youth.
Adelinde discourages your actions and says 'although it's very kind of you, you should leave the work for her, Elzer and the staff to take care of'. while Elzer approves of your assistance, however, he thinks you shouldn't take so much of the responsibilities to do on your own.
With a suffocated grunt, you lifted the barrel up the wagon and stacked it with the rest of the horde. That was the last of the bunch. You gave yourself a quick pat on the back and headed to the winery, ready to end a long day of helping the wine industry grow with a well-earned rest.
You steadily opened one of the entrance doors in order to avoid making any unpleasant noises that might disturb someone from their peaceful slumber. While kicking the dirt off your boots, about to enter your home, you heard the crunching of leaves and grass from behind you, an indication of the presence of another.
Instinctively, you turned around, assuming it was someone who was lost in the woods and was looking for their way back to Mondstadt.
For a split moment, you wished you hadn't looked, and for the moment that passed, you hadn't been happier with a decision you made in your life.
It made sense now. The furniture being transported to your home. The weird behavior of Elzer, the even stranger act of Adelinde.
Your stomach churned with spirals of emotions, one of which being the jolting happiness ripping your insides to shreds, and another being utter confusion, wondering if this was another dream or a dream come true.
It was the first phase, shock, then the second, slow realization. You had to slowly examine the individual standing beside the grape garden to fully grasp the situation. Everything looked the same, just as you remembered, just as you had dreamed of. Red, long hair tied up in a tight ponytail. Neat attire as black and formal as the heavens above. And blazing eyes, identical to the ones your father held. Those eyes had agitation and a hint of shame. His slight furrowed brows only emphasized his ashamed look.
You mouthed his name, unable to get the actual syllables out, a built of mass of intense feelings blocking your throat.
"Diluc..." You repeated in an audible whisper this time. You could see his face slightly scrunch up at the call of his name. He hesitated, hesitated to come closer, afraid of what you might think of him, of how mad you must be at him. But he decided to be brave for once, not like how he was when he left you.
After two excruciating steps from him, you sprung into a run, sprinting towards him like a greedy merchant reaching for his wealthy stack of gold.
Those few seconds it took you to reach him felt like an eternity, and those moments you spent in his missed embrace felt like a lifetime.
"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. Forgive me, (Y/n). Archons forgive me for what I've done. I love you. I missed you so incredibly much. There isn't a single word in this world that describes how wrong I was to leave you." He murmured into your ear, clutching the top of your head and caressing it with a yearning for familial affection. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'd sell my everything for you. I love you so much. I'm so sorry."
You wanted to tell him that you forgave him, that him being here, with you, was enough, but you couldn't speak through your wailing, your tears that prevented you from taking a proper breath. You wrapped your arms tighter around his form, and you had never realized how unsecure you were until you finally felt secure again.
2-Not so happy scenario
In your many years of living, you had never felt this conflicted to stroll through a door. The door leading to Angel's share, the tavern popular amongst the people of mondstadt. The tavern you helped maintain with Elzer. The tavern you spent time in laughing and chatting with travelers and adventurers alike. The tavern you memorized every nook and cranny of. The tavern you practically owned. The tavern left behind by your father. The tavern you swore to take care of for as long as your alive. And now the tavern that held the source of your frustration and suppressed rage.
You were glad it was night and no one was outside to witness your pathetic form stare unmovingly before the wooden door of their own family tavern. It wasn't the tavern itself that you feared, it was what was in it. You truly hoped you'd open the door and find no one but Charles at the other side of the bar counter and maybe some drunken visitors who need to be escorted back to their homes, giving you something else to worry about for the night.
You truly wished what Elzer had told you was a lie, and it was all just a terrible sick joke, but you knew it wasn't. Elzer wasn't that cruel, but now you wished he was.
With whatever courage you had left in you, you reached out and grabbed the door handle and pushed it open, blinking away the sudden light illuminating from inside.
Your scowl deepened in resentment, your gaze locking on a certain figure's back standing behind the bar counter. You cursed under your breath. It wasn't Charle's.
He looked just as you remembered, you almost thought 'nothing had changed after all!' but you knew better than to fool yourself once more. His ponytail as high as his fucking ego. His spotless attire as black and cold as his heart. If he even had one at this point.
In other circumstances, you would've been glad that he returned. In other circumstances where he walks up to you in person, where he hugs you and tells you how much he missed you. In other circumstances that don't exist in your reality.
"Diluc." You uttered. He stiffened and paused. "You're back." He slowly turned to look at you. Your face wrinkled with further rage. He looked so... calm, so contempt.
"Yes. I am." He responded. His voice was deeper and much colder. Not like in your dreams.
"So... you weren't going to even look for me? drop by and say hello or something?? anything!?" You sneered.
"I didn't want to make a big deal out of my return." He turned his head around, arranging the bottles of vintage wine. "Just pretend that I've always been here. That I never left."
"Pretend? You want me to pretend? I've always been pretending!" You snapped. "For years, for YEARS Diluc, I've been pretending. Pretending that you were still here, pretending like everything was fine, when I knew it wasn't. Do you know how much I wished for you to come back home? AND NOT LIKE THIS." Diluc had stopped toggling with the glass bottles but was silent and motionless throughout your talk. You gulped down the lump in your throat, refusing to display your vulnerability to him.
"I fucking missed you, I needed you so much... did you even ever miss me?" You pursed your lips together once your voice wavered.
"Of course I missed you!" He whipped his head around.
"THEN WHY DON'T YOU SHOW IT!" You yelled. "If you really did miss me, then wouldn't you come tell me in person? if you really did miss me, wouldn't you have sent letters? If you even truly did love me..."
Diluc opened his mouth, ready to protest but held his tongue, he knew that no matter what he said, he still messed up. Now he realized how terribly he ruined things. It was evident by how his face suddenly contorted into one of pure regret.
"I..." He sucked in a breath. "I'm sorry. Please... Just keep pretending for a while longer." He turned his back to you, again. Now you really couldn't hold it.
"Fuck you." Your voice was strained. You wiped your tears as you walked out of the Tavern. You cried all the way back to dawn winery, ready to collapse in your bed, where in your dreams you could truly pretend like everything was fine, that he never left.
That whatever came back of him, wasn't an empty shell of what he used to be.

I bring cookies and a request
May i please have platonic! Hcs of Zhongli and Diluc (seperate) with a friend who's to nervous to talk yo anyone but them ? :D
HACHACHA this fine?!! This is my first time requesting i think lol
don't be shy, my friend. (for i am here with you.)
Tumblr media
warnings – none. characters – zhongli, diluc & friend!reader. genre – platonic fluff. a/n – wahh hi artem!! thank u for the cookies and of course you can hehe <3 i'm not too sure what you were looking for but i hope you enjoy!!! —
[zhongli. | 钟离]
• he understands your worries and troubles >< he knows how hard socialising can be, and he tries – but he'd admit, he has a soft spot for you. • you've known him for eons now, and nothing has changed since then! he's built up quite a fondness for your presence • even though your attempts at socialising with others usually end up with you slinking to a corner, he is quick to comfort and reassure you of your job well done • i don't think zhongli is a person who relies heavily on physical affection to get his point across, but be prepared for hugs and stuff if he thinks you need it xD • i'm not going to make this very long (my brain just pssshhed) but overall zhongli is your no. 1 supporter!!!! always backing you up with wise words and assurance and affirmations
[diluc r.]
• diluc understands what you mean • he's not one to talk a lot as well, preferring to fill in the gaps when he wants to • but he'll always pave a way to let you join the conversation >< • for example – during parties he'd ask about people's day and look at you when there's an opening for you to speak • i'm not sure if i make a lot of sense but i feel like this is a thing us "extroverts" tend to do a lot; inverted commas for introverts-forced-to-be-extroverts-by-their-more-introverty-friends • he's good at reading between the lines and looking out for telltale signs that you might be getting stressed out/uncomfortable • and he'll be quick to divert the situation away from you • quick (p-to-the-l-to-the-atonic, platonic) cuddles in a corner as he runs his fingers through your hair to calm you down • overall: very good friend. 10/10 friend for introverts especially <3
aaaaa hope u enjoyed ^u^ mwah <3
*reblogs appreciated since i'm a new blog ><*

Tumblr media
diluc
you’ve become such an important figure in his life - so when you left, it felt as if the breeze had stopped blowing and that no matter his efforts, dawn will never come
he missed you and he couldn’t deny it. he’s tried to not express much emotion but alas; adelinde’s put it upon herself to become his emotional support maid. he was no ruin but his days were more melancholic than usual
so when he sees you again, he feels it in his heart - the breeze has returned and it has brought dawn to the seemingly unending night sky. time begins to move again.
he fights the urge to run to you and tackle you into the biggest hug he could muster; but that would be uncharacteristic, wouldn’t it? and yet, people change. though he doesn’t rush, he still pulls you into a hug that guides you truly back home
when he pulls back, he offers you a smile and you smile back. even after all this time, conversations with diluc are filled with unspoken words instead of verbal affection. and even after all this time, you still love it.
“...i missed you, (y/n). and yet, you are as beautiful as the day you left.”
“pffft, who taught you to be such a poet? was it that bard?”
“mm…”
“...i missed you too.”
jean
she didn’t want to seem fazed obviously, when you announced your departure. she was genuinely happy for you and relieved that she was no obstacle for you to journey on - but she can’t help the twinge in her heart when you left her with nothing but a smile
her coming days were more mundane than usual. she had lisa to keep her grounded and sane but what she craved for was you. yet she reminded herself that this is for the best, that wherever you are, you are happy.
that didn’t stop her from hoping you would come back safe and sound. you were quite vague on whether you’d come home to her or not because neither of you liked making empty promises - wherever the wind blows, that is where you two will rest
when she hears talk of you being back in town, she rushes out of her office and to the gates of mondstadt. and there you stand, happily chatting away with swan about how good it feels to be back and how much you miss your best friend
jean slowly walks up to you and waits for you to wrap up your conversation with swan. when you finally turn your head towards her, she beams her best smile at you. you can’t help return it as you pull her in for a hug
“(y/n)...it really is you. welcome home.”
“it’s me, alright. feels great to be back.”
“i’ll bet. come - i’d like to hear about your journey.”
“then you better buckle up; i’ve got quite a few stories to tell.”
zhongli
he wasn’t shocked when you told him. after all, he’s had his fair share of friends leaving, whether intentionally or not. still, this did not stop him from empathizing with you - he will miss you quite dearly and you will always shine like gold in his memories.
thus began (y/n)-less high tea sessions and dull cultural discussions; he told himself he was okay with this because you came into his life, this is what life as a mortal was for him. and yet he found himself yearning for your larger-than-life presence
even at work, hu tao have had to snap him out of his trances and on occasion, let him reminisce. he missed you as if he mourned the him that was never meant to be - immortal and cursed to a long life, now mortal and empathetic
he was worried that you had long disappeared along the way. although years feel like mere minutes for him, your departure has grounded his perception of time. what if despite all that time he spent waiting, he was never meant to wait in the first place?
his doubts dissipate into thin air the moment he sees you sitting down at third-round knockout, seemingly waiting for something- someone. when he approaches you, you merely ask him to sit down
“(y/n)?”
“don’t worry, i got it covered. mora and all.”
“i…i missed you.”
“so do i, zhongli. so do i. let’s catch up over some tea, shall we?”

“Can I date Y/N, please?” [Genshin Impact - Diluc and Kaeya’s sibling edition]
Summary: In which your potential Genshin lover asks your Genshin sibling(s) if he can date you.
Characters: Diluc and Kaeya as your brothers, Aether, Albedo, Venti, Bonus: Tartaglia, gn!reader
Notes: There was a similar request a while ago but for the volleyball AU, I might do that or I might not but what are your thoughts on this brand new brainrot I have? I felt like I just needed a change of pace about what I write, needed something platonic-ish but also cute and funny??? idk. These days I feel like my genre is changing a little, or I just need a break from romance.
Warnings: crack elements, fluff, overprotective siblings, alcohol consumption, Diluc and Kaeya are civil towards each other, complicated deception in Tartaglia’s part, I only mixed and matched certain characters cause I thought those would be particularly interesting, some are longer than the others cause I enjoyed writing it more.
Your brothers: Diluc & Kaeya
Who wants to date you: Aether
“Relaaaaaaax, you’ve fought a giant dragon before, this is nothing!” Easy for Paimon to say, Aether thinks. Not for him, when he was going to ask Diluc and Kaeya for their blessings to date you. The Kaeya part, not too bad. The Diluc part...Aether didn’t know what to think.
“H-Hey, you two! C-Can I talk to you, real quick?” As the night descends Aether finds Diluc and Kaeya outside of the tavern, sharing a table together, like you said they would on Friday nights.
Kaeya’s eyes light up, tipping his glass of wine over to Aether, delighted that the traveller had decided to join them this evening. “Look who it is,” his voice, smooth as ever glides towards Aether. Diluc glances over to Aether, moves a glass over to the empty seat and curtly says “Take a seat,”
Aether feels a lump on his throat as he sits quite stiffly. Paimon seems to have stiffened up too, her talk of being brave all down the drain. “To what do we owe the pleasure tonight?” Kaeya asks while asking Aether if he wanted wine or grape juice. Aether opted for the wine, feeling as if he needed more liquid courage.
“Uhhh...” Aether starts, watching as Kaeya poured the wine, eyes darting up to Diluc who was also looking at Aether expectantly. “Well, ummm... nothing major, or dangerous, really...” he lets out a nervous laugh, tips his head as thanks towards Kaeya when he finished pouring and adds, “It’s just...about Y/N,”
Both of your siblings’ heads snap up to attention and in unison they say, “What about them?” Suddenly the fresh air seems to have disappeared despite sitting outdoors and Aether’s hands start to feel a little clammy. It looks as if neither Kaeya nor Diluc breathes, just staring at Aether to continue, blank looks on their faces.
“They...uh...They’re really nice company, you see.” Aether starts, hands coming together on top of the table, eyes darting back and forth towards Diluc then Kaeya. Their blank expressions haven’t changed.
Aether clears his throat and continues. “And, well, simply said they...They’re really nice, really...” Aether remembers you in his mind’s eye, and for a split moment he looks to be in a trance, thinking of how his heart palpitates just at the sight of you. “Really charming...Y/N is just... so...” he snaps out of his daydream immediately and straightens up again, remembering he’s in front of your siblings and it was not the right time to be dreamy-eyed right now.
But Diluc seemed to have a look of realization on his face, Kaeya chuckles and pours himself another glass of wine. Neither of them say anything, letting the traveller finish his sentence. “...Sorry,” Aether clears his throat again, “I...I’d simply like your permission to date them. Uhm...We’ve been on a few dates already, actually... I just...” Aether averts his eyes when he feels the heat on his cheeks. “I’m serious about Y/N, I just wanted to let you two know,”
There’s a moment of silence, just the sound of Kaeya sipping on his wine and clinking his glass back down on the table, before he spoke up. “Come now, traveller, you don’t think we haven’t noticed?” he grins.
“Huh?” Aether lets out, dumbfounded.
“Y/N’s been going out more frequently, it isn’t difficult to notice,” Diluc responds, closing his eyes as he takes a sip of his grape juice too. “Besides, the two of you walk around town quite often. I didn’t think it was such a big secret,”
“O-Oh...” Aether laughs nervously and scratches the back of his head. “S-So, you’re okay with it?”
“Well not so fast there, my friend!” Kaeya seems to be the more jovial one. Seems to be the one who is “okay” with everything, but on closer inspection there’s a glint in his eye, whilst Diluc actually looks calmer and more put together. “Do you really know our Y/N that well? Let’s test your knowledge, shall we?” Kaeya proposes, to which Diluc holds back a sigh. One of his silly games again, it seems.
“Kaeya here might want to test you, traveller...but I have no qualms with your relationship with Y/N......Provided that Y/N’s happy...but you have a lot of things on your hands,” Diluc’s gaze hardened for a split moment, and Aether knew what he was implying.
Aether’s search for his sister, his journey across nations and his adventuring were all a big part of his life. “Are you sure you have adequate space for Y/N in your life? If not...then I suggest you reconsider,”
It was more of a threat than anything, but Aether knew where it was coming from. What did he expect, trying to go through your two brothers who seemed like night and day, and yet similarly protective of you? Kaeya cuts the tension with a laugh. “Serious as always. See, all you have to do to get my blessing is to play a game with me, traveller,”
“Are you two trying to bully Aether?” The three of them swerve towards your voice as you stand there with your hands on your hips, eyes furrowed, shooting a concerned glance towards Aether. “I was getting worried when you didn’t show up at our meeting place,”
“No such thing,” Kaeya beams at you and Diluc casually shakes his head. “Not at all,” then they went back to drinking their respective drinks.
You sigh and place a hand on Aether’s shoulder. “I told you, you didn’t have to do this, they’re just going to make your life harder. I can date who I want, you know?” you smile at him reassuringly but Aether laughs nervously, feeling sweat on his temples.
“Come on, let’s go. Leave these two behind, they’ll get over it!” You insist, tugging on Aether’s sleeve and he complies as you turn to walk away first.
Aether turns back around to bid your brothers’ goodbye, only to find that they’re sporting rather eerie and perfect grins on their faces.
“See you around, traveller. Watch your step,”
Who wants to date you: Albedo
“You want to date Y/N?” The surprise in Kaeya’s voice is obvious. He didn’t think the alchemist was one to be interested in such things, but the fact that he had come out of his lab and visited Kaeya over at his personal office in the Favonius HQ, Kaeya had a feeling that Albedo was more than just interested.
“Yes,” The blonde replied curtly. Kaeya thought there was more of an explanation, but none followed and it was merely just himself and the alchemist just staring at each other now.
“...Is there...any reason for that?” Kaeya pries, not willing to just say yes so easily when it didn’t even seem like Albedo showed any genuine interest towards you aside from his words.
“A reason...you say?” Albedo thinks out loud, his hand coming up to rest under his chin. A few seconds pass by and as much as Kaeya respected Albedo and saw him as a good ally, his application to date you wasn’t going very well, until he started speaking again.
“...Truthfully I don’t understand it very clearly myself,” the Kreidiprinz starts. “It’s a rather peculiar feeling...of wanting Y/N by my side,” Albedo turns away and looks off into a faraway distance. “I enjoy Y/N’s observations, their ramblings, their view on certain things in life...but if you ask me for a logical reason of why I would like to date them...There isn’t one, I suppose it’s more of an emotion than a logical reason. I simply want to spend more time with them, an impossibly, illogically long time. More than I’ve already spent with them.”
Kaeya is rendered speechless by the whole thing. The alchemist had managed to answer his question in a rather unconventional yet truthful and sincere way. It sounded just like Albedo and Kaeya couldn’t help but laugh. “Looks like today’s full of surprises,” then he stands up and starts to stack the papers on his desk without giving Albedo a reply.
Albedo senses the avoidance, but is brave enough to ask again. “I assume I have your blessing, then?” his eyes follow Kaeya’s form who shrugs easily with a smile “I don’t see why not. You’ve always been a man of your word.”
“...Thank you...Would you happen to know where I can find the master of Dawn Winery?” Albedo asks and Kaeya is once again dumbfounded by how serious Albedo actually was about you.
“Diluc? Oh don’t worry about him, he’ll be fine,” Kaeya waves a hand, and Albedo is immediately suspicious.
“...I...insist. If I personally told you, it’s only right that I personally tell him as well,” Albedo reasons but Kaeya again dismisses him.
“Tell you what, I’ll tell Diluc and you won’t have to worry your head over it,” Kaeya proposes and again Albedo hesitates. It’s not that he didn’t trust Kaeya...well, maybe he didn’t, not a 100% at least, but Kaeya immediately pulls the ‘brother’ card. “You trust me, I’m Y/N’s brother after all, right?” Kaeya felt the hesitation in Albedo, but enjoys the way the alchemist seems to battle with himself on whether to say yes or no.
“...I...suppose I can let you handle it,” Albedo relents, and Kaeya claps the smaller man’s back. “There you go!”
Kaeya never told Diluc. Did he forget? Possibly. Did he do it on purpose? Most likely.
Diluc had to learn the hard way, and Albedo had some explaining to do.
Who wants to date you: Venti
“Absolutely not,” Diluc doesn’t even look up from his task of drying glasses at the bar, watching as the white cloth wipes up the residue from the cup. He doesn’t even know if the bard is serious, but Diluc has the impression that “serious” wasn’t a word that Venti usually used.
“Aweeeeee come on, why not? I can take care of Y/N! You know that, right?” Venti, sitting on a bar stool situated in front of Diluc, starts whining. Diluc’s eye twitches, he’s aware what Venti really is, and is aware that Venti can absolutely protect you. “Take care” of you though? He had his doubts.
“Protecting them is completely different from taking care of them,” Diluc simply says to which Venti hums in thought, touching his braided hair absentmindedly as he replies.
“I can do both!” He cheerfully restates and rocks back and forth excitedly on his chair.
“Forget it,” Diluc says with finality, though he knew in the end he couldn’t really stop you from making your own decisions, at least he could convey to Venti that he wasn’t completely onboard about the whole thing.
“Why are you so against it? I’ve been nothing but a good patron to your establishment!” Venti yet again protests playfully. Diluc finally picks his gaze up to look at Venti with a half-serious glare.
“A good patron? By ordering dandelion wine every night, getting drunk and forgetting to pay for it? You really think that’s the kind of person I’d want for my sibling?”
Venti slinks backwards with a nervous laugh. “I just pass out before I can hand you the money that’s all. Next time I’ll pay before drinking, eh?”
Diluc’s glare doesn’t falter. “No,” yet his hands continue to wipe. “Pay for all the ones you’ve consumed before and maybe I’ll think about it,”
Venti gasps, hand coming over to his chest. “Are you...Are you selling your sibling?! Are you saying if I pay for all the dandelion wine I’ve consumed...I’ll have your blessing?”
“I said I’ll think about it, I didn’t say yes. Besides, paying for what you consumed is common human decency,”
“Oh, good thing I’m not human then,” Venti mumbles but Diluc hears it and is an inch close to throwing the bard out of the tavern, and also forbidding you from seeing him ever again, but Kaeya walks in.
“What’s all the commotion here?” he asks, chuckling at the face Diluc was making. He looked like a volcano that was about to erupt.
“Ah! Drinking buddy!” Venti was delighted to see the knight of Favonius, thinking that he had an ally now. Kaeya salutes at Venti and takes a seat next to him on the next barstool. Diluc immediately breaks the news to Kaeya.
“This bard wants to date Y/N,” Kaeya blinks, letting Diluc’s tone and livid expression finally settle in.
Kaeya chuckles and turns to Venti, “Really now?” as if an amused child who just discovered something wonderful in a museum. “And what makes you think we’ll agree to it?” Kaeya attacks immediately and Venti is wounded.
“What? I thought you were on my side! We’re drinking buddies!”
“Precisely why I’m not sure if Y/N’s a good match for you,” There’s something a little menacing about Kaeya’s smile. “Doesn’t paint a nice picture, thinking that you’re here every night while Y/N’s all alone, you see,”
“I’m NOT here every night!” despite Venti’s cheerful disposition even that comment gets to him. “Besides, once me and Y/N are official I’d rather spend that time with them,” the bard huffs, not noticing the glint in your brothers’ eyes.
“Well, let’s settle this with a drinking challenge then,” Kaeya suggests, motioning for Diluc to give them two glasses. “You’re only worthy if you can hold your alcohol better than me,”
“Deal,” Venti is overconfident when the challenge starts. Unfortunately for him Kaeya and Diluc had already done this before. Halfway through the challenge when Venti is a little tipsy, Diluc starts pouring grape juice instead of wine into Kaeya’s glass.
Venti doesn’t understand how Kaeya wins every time.
Who wants to date you (bonus character): Tartaglia
(I sincerely think this needs a whole fanfiction of its own. Tartaglia dating Diluc’s sibling is a complicated disaster waiting to happen but I still wrote a small snippet because I think it’s an interesting thought)
“Tell me where you met him again?” Diluc asks you, pulling his glove on his hand to start the day. It should have been a normal day like any other, with Diluc going on his usual patrol in the morning, but you had sidetracked him, told him that you wanted him to meet someone, and that you’ve invited Kaeya over to the mansion as well.
Diluc could tell that whoever this person was, you already had a certain liking towards them.
“At Liyue, brother,” you say, mentally making a note that this was probably the third time you’ve said it. You can tell Diluc is anxious, possibly because this was a total stranger to him. Someone who wasn’t from Mondstadt, someone who he was only hearing about now when you have apparently been seeing him for months now.
“Why did you only tell me now?” Diluc adds, dusting his coat off and finally turning to you, brows furrowed, arms crossed. You smile apologetically.
“Well, he’s a busy person, and I was trying to find the right time to tell you.” You explain and Diluc doesn’t budge from his position as he questions, “Busy, you say?” How was he going to look after you if he was “busy” as you said.
“Yeah, a bit like you, actually. Running around doing errands,” Diluc almost winces. Since he was also a busy person, he couldn’t really say anything bad about this other person being busy. That would be hypocritical.
“10 minutes, and I’m off to work,” Diluc grumbles, but sees the delight in your eyes and he’s always had a weakness for your happiness. There’s a slight commotion downstairs which the two of you can hear, since the door to his room is ajar.
“That must be him!” and again the joy that sweeps your face is immense, Diluc is almost angry that an unknown man was able to make you this happy. He sighs and follows after you down to the living area.
Sure enough, there’s a tall man, chestnut brown hair, charming smile on his face, holding flowers. Childe’s eyes light up as well, the moment he sees you jogging down the stairs and he somewhat hesitantly opens his arms to you. Diluc doesn’t know whether to grimace at the sight of you jumping into them and him spinning you around once with a laugh, or just ignore the whole thing altogether.
For a moment you and Childe are stuck in your own world. With him telling you that he missed you, it’s been a while, and passing you the sunflowers in his arm. You’re overjoyed by the sentiment and look up at him with awe, Diluc clears his throat at that moment.
“This is my brother, Diluc. This is Childe, brother,” You introduce them briefly and Childe is the one who stretches his hand out first, Diluc only follows.
Childe knows well who your brother is, it’s the exact reason why he took extra precautions today, like his delusion being concealed. Did he originally know that Diluc was your brother? Not at all. But when he found out, he was much too in love with you already. He’d make it work, right?
If you found out that he was part of the Fatui, it’d be a problem. But if your brother found out... that would be a completely different and bigger problem.
So, he kept his facade.
“...Where do you work?” Diluc suddenly asks. He doesn’t even ask how Childe is, if he’s tired from the long journey or how the two of you really met. He gets straight to the point, and something in his instincts is flaring up.
Childe gives a pleasant smile as he takes his hand back. “The Northland Bank in Liyue, Internal Affairs,” Childe stays by your side, comforted by your presence next to him. Truthfully he’d go through any hurdle just to have you, even if it meant tearing you away from family. Was that too much?
“...The Northland Bank?” Diluc questions, eyebrow raising. “A Snezhnayan bank...and you don’t look Liyuen at all,” Childe chuckles at Diluc’s observation and gives a simple explanation.
“I’m originally from Snezhnaya. Just in Liyue for business... All my siblings are back in Snezhnaya though, so I travel pretty frequently just to see them,” Playing the ‘I’m a family guy’ card was usually a nice place to start, though Childe wasn’t sure if that was able to fool Diluc, because the red head said nothing.
“...Enjoy your stay in Mondstadt, then,” Diluc simply says and stalks off towards the door. You’re not surprised at how curt your brother is, he’s usually like that with new people, but you assumed Kaeya might be a bit more welcoming. You whisper towards Childe to reassure him. “Don’t worry, he’ll warm up later on,” and he only smiles back at you.
Just before Diluc reaches the door it opens to reveal that Kaeya has arrived. As usual he’s got that grin full of mischief on his face, but his eyes dart towards you and Childe immediately. “Ah, this must be the gentleman I’ve been hearing about,” Kaeya starts.
“Sir Kaeya, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Childe, I’ve actually brought a bottle of wine from Snezhnaya--”
“Actually,” Diluc cuts through the conversation, then places a hand on Kaeya’s shoulder. “Kaeya’ll be coming with me for a minute, he’ll be back later,” and gives Kaeya a pointed look before taking his hand back and proceeding out the door. Kaeya doesn’t falter and doesn’t look surprised at all, it must have been something important, he knows that look on Diluc’s face. So, Kaeya shrugs and addresses you and Childe.
“It won’t be long, I’ll catch up with you later. Do leave the wine with the maids. In the meantime, the two of you should walk around town for a bit,” Kaeya waves, still the ever present charming smile on his face before turning and disappearing out the door as well.
Childe can’t help but let out a sigh, he doesn’t know out of stress or out of relief. You pat his back and give him a sympathetic look. “They’re just a little strange, but they’re good people, I promise,”
Childe chuckles under his breath and places a hand on your back, smiles down at you and presses a quick kiss on your forehead.
“I’m sure they are,” he reassures you more than he reassures himself. He’s 100% sure he’s dug himself a grave. Something about Diluc’s gaze on him tells him that the Darknight Hero knows.
It’s a little strange that Childe most certainly knows that your brothers are good people.
Though, he can’t quite say the same thing about himself.

"Can I get an angel shot?"
A/N: I'm... not good at writing genshin characters but at least I tried. For those of you who don't know, asking for an angel shot means that you don't feel safe. In almost every bar, if you ask for an angel shot they know it means you are feeling unsafe/uncomfortable.
"C'mon let me get you another drink!" You force a smile and glance around to see if anyone was looking your way. Unfortunately, nothing.
"Uh, sure. I'm gonna use the bathroom really quick." You get up, trying to resist the urge to sprint your way to the counter.
"Oh, hey! I didn't-" Venti starts, drinking his own glass of wine while Diluc had his normal look of disdain on his face.
You cut Venti off with a quick "Diluc, I need an angel shot." And Diluc's face turns from disdain to surprise to anger. He allows Venti to guide you behind the bar, a rare occurrence, and Diluc slams down the glass he was cleaning along with the rag and marches to the table you were at previously.
"Sir, I'm going to need you to leave." Dilucs voice reaches your ears from the pure authority and you stay behind the bar, Venti forgetting his drink on the counter.
After some shouting, Diluc is dragging the guy out himself, shoving him out the door forcibly. He grabs the door handle, closing it and turning, sighing in disgust.
As he returns behind the bar, he glances at you. "Are you alright?" You nod, still rather shaken up and Diluc nods. Venti invites you to sit next to him at the bar.
You place your head on the counter and sigh, hiding your face in your arms. You feel Venti place a hand on your back and rub in comforting circles. "Hey, why don't I buy you a drink. Anything you want!"
You raise an eyebrow at him and remark "With what money?" Causing Venti to pause before giving his typical 'ehe' to write you off.
"Either way, it's on the house. He's been kicked out of here before. I intend for this to be the last time." Diluc throws the rag over his shoulder and leans with his arms on the bar. "What'll it be?" He asks and you shake your head.
"I think I'll just wait here until he leaves." You shrivel in on yourself until Diluc scoffs, causing you to look over at him.
"As much as I detest admitting it," The door slams open. "I had some assistance."
The well known calvary captain walks in with a exaggerated wave and sits down next to you. "And here I was thinking you wanted nothing to do with the knights of Favonious! Who could've guessed? Bard, snowflake." Kaeya greets Venti and you, using your respective terms of endearment. "Anyway, I doubt he'll be back. At least once he's not frozen in place anymore. I may have gone a bit over board by freezing his feet to the pavement."
Diluc let's out a humorless laugh and a small, yet rare, smile crosses his face. "I can't say it's not deserved."

Diluc Big Brother Headcanons
Tumblr media
From the moment you were born, Diluc felt the need to protect you
He felt that it was his responsibility since he was your older brother
Growing up, he would always want to play with you
Even if it resulted in the both of you getting minor injuries most of the time
The two of you were always close
He promised to always keep you safe, and you believed him
When Kaeya came along, Diluc felt Jealous that you started spending time with him as well
Though he got over it after a while
He's still protective as you all grow up
Then comes the moment where you're father dies
You were there to see it, and at that moment, Diluc became even more protective over you than he already was
It got even worse when Kaeya admitted to being a spy
Regrettably, Diluc left Mondstat and went to Fontain
He did eventually come back, never telling you what he did
Luckily, during the time he was gone, Adaline and Elzer were there to look after you
You were upset that he left, but you still loved him
Though to most people he was cold after your father's death, Diluc was softer around you
He would always make sure you were ok before leaving the winery
You became his top priority and he refused to let anything happen to you
He told you that you shouldn't trust Kaeya
You were confused when he said that, not knowing what he had confessed to Diluc
Your brothers no longer talking to each other upset you, but you didn't want to force them
You just wished they would talk to each other again
Though, you're thankful that you still have Diluc around
Despite being busy, Diluc always makes time for you, not wanting you to feel lonely
He hates seeing you upset
If anyone hurts you, physically or otherwise, he gets pissed
It's easy for him to scare people off, he can be very intimidating
You have nightmares about your father's death, and he's always there to comfort you
Diluc is your biggest support
Due to his protective nature, he doesn't want you to become an adventurer
Let alone a knight
But he may relent if you keep insisting
As long as you're happy, he is to

Reader With Anxiety (Part 1)
Reader is having anxiety. Characters comfort them in various in-character ways.
CW for general talk of anxiety and some of its symptoms. This is based on personal experience and can differ for others. Different techniques work for different people. This is a comfort fic, not an informational piece. A few mentions of certain characters having struggles of their own with anxiety.
Gender neutral reader, platonic relationships/fluff.
Characters: Al Haitham, Ayato, Childe, Diluc, Itto, Zhongli
Al Haitham’s approach borders on clinical. Though he’s experienced anxiety in the past (both his own and his roommate’s), he struggles to empathise with your struggles and doesn’t really know how to approach you. He takes a little while to pick up on your tenseness, then even longer to act on it - he may come off as brash or dismissive at first when you try to explain what’s ailing you, but in reality he’s working through it in his brain, approaching it from every possible angle as he works to try and solve the intricate equation in the most efficient way. He tends to quash down his own worries instead of facing them, but he doesn’t want that for you - he also figures that pulling all-nighters and drinking wine like his roommate might not be very healthy, either, so he does his own research and pulls up a list of grounding techniques for you to try, and will calmly walk you through each one and take careful note of which ones make the most significant differences for you. He’s very calm and level headed throughout the whole ordeal, even if you are not, so his unshakeable attitude can do wonders to help soothe you as well. Once all is said and done, he may (almost meekly) approach you and ask how he did, how he can do better in future, what worked and what didn’t. It’s almost like he’s collecting results from an experiment.
Ayato will basically try to find and eliminate whatever he thinks is the source of your worry. He’s a very straightforward man in that respect - he sees a problem, that problem requires a solution. Half of his job is making solutions, he figures it’s not exactly hard. He always thought he was quite good at talking Ayaka down when she was younger and fretted even more than she does now. So, in some cases, you may find that certain problems of yours seem to just… quietly fade into the background. Mora woes? He’ll just throw piles of money at the issue until it’s gone. You hate your job? Huh, it seems that one of your superiors has been fired and you’re first in line for a promotion. Funny, that. If, for whatever reasons, that doesn’t (or can’t) work, he’ll sit you down and try to talk you through it. He encourages you to talk about your anxieties, what you think is causing them, what has helped in the past, all those sorts of things. He turns almost uncharacteristically quiet and genuine during these conversations, sitting across from you and listening carefully as you talk. He still tries to do things to fix these problems unless you directly ask him not to though.
Childe gets ‘zoomies’ when he’s anxious, he gets jittery and jumpy and all over the place, so he expects you to be the exact same. He may take some time, but eventually he will notice that you’re acting fidgety or quiet, and his solution is to pretty much pull you into a large, open area and walk you through various fighting techniques or exercises. It can be really overwhelming, and he will back off if it seems like you aren’t coping with it, but sometimes working out that anxious energy is the perfect way to help. He acts so bright and cheery that it helps distract you. Sometimes, if he’s feeling particularly soft, he might allow you to get a few extra hits in or even knock him over just to see the way you brighten up and begin to regain your confidence. Failing that, he’ll cook you a really nice hearty meal and tell you about how his mother taught him that it’s “basically impossible to be anxious while eating.”
Diluc will essentially evacuate you from the situation - his decorum goes out the window when he notices you’re acting distressed. The way he sweeps you out of the room as he drapes his heavy jacket over your shoulders is almost like he’s shielding you from attackers. He’s had his fair share of anxiety attacks in the past and just does for you what he wishes someone would’ve done for him in his adolescence. He’ll find somewhere quiet for you to sit, make you a warm drink and stay nearby as you cool off. He won’t address it directly or ask you any questions, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on your preferences, but he’s still open to talking about it if it seems like that’s what you need. If you’re up for it, he may also assign you some meaningless busywork around the winery, something to keep your hands and mind busy so you don’t have time to dwell on whatever it is that’s ailing you. It’s always something extremely low pressure, such as watering houseplants or sorting papers.
Itto is as lighthearted about this as he is with many things. It takes him quite a long time to notice that you’re feeling off - it’s not that he ignores the people around him, sometimes he’s just a bit of an airhead who struggles to perceive anything out of the scope of his own boisterous, joyous aura. Even once he’s noticed and started to address it, you suspect that it may have been Shinobu’s prompting that caused him to finally pick up on it. He acts sort of clumsy around you at first, uncharacteristically worried that you might be upset at him for whatever reason, or that he’s just making things worse, but that clears up pretty quickly as he convinces himself that you absolutely need him to swoop in and save you as soon as possible. He won’t directly confront you, but instead he turns the silly metre up to full blast, pulling all the goofs and gaffs that he knows have cheered you up in the past. He’s acting like a complete and utter fool, just in an attempt to try and distract you from whatever thoughts have you all wrapped up inside your own head.
Zhongli realises practically the same moment you start acting off. He can be block-headed sometimes, but distress is something he’s taught himself to notice over the years. He’ll calmly pull you aside, being careful not to raise any suspicion or draw any attention, and will take both your shaking hands in his to steady them and ask you what’s wrong, what he can do to help. If you’re not sure, he’ll run you through various grounding techniques. His favourites are getting you to describe various things around you, or passing you some kind of trinket to look over to distract you while he tells you about it (oftentimes it's a piece of his jewellery or an interesting rock). Another one is that he gets you to talk about five things you can see, four things you can hear, three things you can touch/feel, two things you can smell and one thing you can taste. He’s got a whole arsenal of soothing techniques up his sleeve and is great at keeping track of which ones work best for you. Sometimes, just hearing his calm, deep voice droning on about whatever subject he feels like sharing is more than enough to help distract and calm you down.

— to fill the dales below.
Tumblr media
diluc & treasure hoarder gn! reader.
platonic content!
summary ; what it's like to live under diluc's care.
warnings ; mentions of alcohol consumption, abandonment, and child neglect. lower case intended.
notes ; hi, i'm new here. silly diluc/dawn winery crew familial hcs with a pre-teen reader because i'm soft for them and the kaeya hangout event has made me the slightest bit insane.
Tumblr media
– diluc has no troubles whatsoever with taking you in when he finds you huddled up inside an abandoned treasure hoarder camp by the outskirts of mondstadt. he finds it revolting how someone would dare to leave a child like you, barely a teenager yet, alone near somewhere so dangerous, so he scoops you into his arms and takes you home.
– everyone in the dawn winery is happy to have you, too!! adelinde already has your favorite meals memorized within a few days of you living there, and elzer always has an eye out for you whenever diluc can't be there.
– you don't see much of diluc at first – he's around for very short periods of time, so you spend your time helping around however you can; picking grapes with mr. tunner, helping moco and hillie clean around the winery (which is just the both of them coddling you, really), etc.
– except you were born a restless, wayward child, so sitting still doesn't do too well with you. that's alright, though. diluc starts taking you to mondstadt with him, even going so far as to teaching you how to mix a few drinks – all non-alcoholic, of course. he's proud of how much of a fast learner you are for these sorts of things!! you're practically a natural.
– meeting kaeya for the first time is a whole thing. he's baffled when he enters angel's share and sees diluc smiling, yes, smiling, as he instructs you on the process of mixology. did his brother adopt a kid, and he didn't know? (his initial thoughts, yes, because he knows diluc most definitely would do this if he saw a child in need).
– after the confusion is cleared up, though, kaeya gets to know you better, and it's safe to say that he adores you. he treats you as his own flesh and blood long before your familial relationship with diluc is anywhere near strong. the cool uncle, if you will.
– he spoils you as much as he can. that one time he went on vacation to sumeru? he buys you a couple of trinkets he thinks you'll like; a couple is an understatement – he visits the winery with his arms full of them and leaves them on your bed if you're not there at the time. and don't let diluc know, but kaeya makes sure to tip you very generous amounts of mora whenever you're helping around angel's share. it's your little secret.
– diluc shows his affection a little differently. carrying you to your room and gently tucking you into bed if you ever fall asleep elsewhere, asking you if you're comfortable living here over the times he's there for breakfast. it's the little things that count.
– a recurring form of affection that has ingrained itself into your daily lives is headpats, however. it begins a few months after your arrival, when you successfully mix a drink all on your own; he ruffles your hair with a soft smile, and it makes you feel warm. he's proud, and even if he's not vocal about it, he doesn't need to be. whenever the situation calls for it, he'll pat your head affectionately with a small smile.
– it isn't long before he's teaching you how to read, too. the life of a treasure hoarder never allowed you such a luxury, and he saw the way you longingly looked over the books available at the winery. he's patient as he teaches, so take your time; no need to stress over the slip ups – it will all pay off in the end, he assures you.
– you won't ever hear this from diluc, but you remind him of a younger kaeya. quiet and a little distant initially, but so full of life and care; he wants to keep that kind nature, that restlessness, safe. for as long as he can.
– diluc let's you braid his hair. it's an odd request, one he isn't expecting, but he isn't opposed to the idea. double braids, french braids, buns; he'll let you do it all, and maybe he'll even let you put a few windwheel asters in his hair if you ask. on quite a few occasions, adelinde has to try not to smile too hard when she walks in with a tray of snacks, and sees you braiding diluc's hair as he does paperwork.
– when it comes to trickier matters, though, it's difficult for diluc to emotionally be there for you. he isn't the best when it comes to soft, comforting words, so all he can do is wrap you up in a hug whenever you need one. if things get too much, he'll even ask for kaeya's help. his younger brother always was– is, better at handling these sorts of things, even if a much younger diluc was usually the one to console and care for a crying kaeya.
– on certain occasions though, when kaeya is too far away or adelinde (one of his best choices for these matters, always), isn't available, he has to try his hardest to make due. diluc will speak as softly as he can – promises that he won't go anywhere, promises that he'll keep you safe.
– because diluc believes no child should go through the sort of cruelty you went through, and if there's any way of salvaging those fleeting years of youth that have been long since blown away by the wind, he swears he'll do it. for you.

More yandere ideas:
Rich yandere(pantalone, ningguang, ayato and diluc) x workaholic darling, rich yandere really just wants to pamper darling and take care of them for the rest of their lives, making sure they don't have to lift a finger. Meanwhile darling really loves working, they live for working, their entire lives revolve around doing things for other people and can't handle the idea of someone trying to do things for them, rich yanderes like ningguang and diluc might just settle for paying all of darlings expenses and helping them out with their work making sure they don't get sick or overwork themselves, but rich yanderes like ayato and pantalone would absolutely not allow that. Ayato probably won't kidnap you at first but he'd probably make sure you'd get fired and no on would hire you, if you decide to leave inazuma for work he'd definitely kidnap you and hide you in the kamisato estate, never to be seen again. Out of all four of them pantalone would definitely be the most dangerous, I fully believe that he would drug you to the point of paralyzation if you refused to come with him, if your so instant on working all the time then why doesn't he just take away your ability to work?
Yandere sagau idea where the reader is the Creators granddaughter. The great and might creator is seen as someone unattainable, so perfect and better then everyone else. So you can imagine the suprise when the creator falls in love with human and had a child, their child immediately becomes a god and is seen just as unattainable as the creator, but when the child of the creator gives birth to a granddaughter people immediately assumes that she will be as high and mighty as the latter, except she isn't the girl was a human she was weak she was fragile, she didn't have any powers like her mom and grandmother. It was then that people decided she was obtainable, when she turns sixteen you can't imagine the amount of courting gifts she got, unfortunately the granddaughter really isn't interested in love so she kindly rejects them. Eventually that gets people angry so they force her to have them, people go all out just to wisk her away to a "date" where they spend the entire time profoundly expressing their love, maybe drugging them so the granddaughter can't run away.
Platonic yandere Childe x lumine&and aether younger sibling reader, imagine after the unknown god attacked you and your older siblings you wake up in snezhneya, worried because of the neverending cold you quickly try to find shelter, losing more and more of your strength before finally collapsing on the snow. About an hour later Childe finds you on the ground, flabbergasted by your almost blue face and very young appearance he quickly brings you to his family to get you warmed up, let's say when you wake up your surprised when your in someone's house, it's there that you see one of childe's siblings who quickly calls Childe. Because of your child like appearance your very used to be talking to you as if your a child but this guy talked to you as if your a helpless infant toddler that didn't know anything, it was infuriating to you since your pretty much older then his great grandpa. Though at the moment it was your best bet to find your siblings so you cooperated with him. He pretended to play along with your concern and promised to help you, but when you turned to leave he didn't let you saying that since your so young you can't protect yourself. When he went to liyue he made sure his parents kept you confined to the house, he did end up meeting your sibling and befriended them, your siblings asked where you were and he pretended not to know you, he led your sibling farther and farther away from you.(sorry I got very board writing this one)
Yandere cyno x rukkhadevata reincarnation reader. There's a theory that cyno is the reincarnation of the priest that was loyal to the greater lord and I'll play of this. Imagine cyno gets all of his memories from his past life and remembers rukkhadevata and has great regrets that he wasn't able to protect her, so when he meets you her obvious reincarnation he makes sure he doesn't repeat the mistakes of the past. Your confused when some random person you've never met suddenly kidnapped you and brought you to the nicest looking prison ever. At first you absolutely refuse to eat anything but quickly change that when he forces food down your mouth, every time you refuse to sleep on the silk bed made just for you he ties you to it and blindfolds you so you'll eventually fall asleep, the moment you take a single step out of the house, your immediately brought back inside. Cyno would rather die them ever hurt you, he'd never punish you for anything you've done but if someone else even put the slightest of scratches on you they would suffer indescribable hell.
Yandere Abyss twin x isekaid reader, imagine your the biggest genshin impact fan ever, you've read millions of fanfiction, have tons of merch, spent ever extra dollar you make on genshin, memorizing all of the lore. Then one day truck-kun decides to take your life and you wake up in kheanri'ah, luckily the people bring you in kindly, when the abyss twin shows up you immediately explain your situation to them and it takes a while for them to believe you. But when they do the two of your become very close, when the destruction of kheanri'ah comes around the abyss twin absolutely refuses to let you near dainsleif, thinking of him as a traitor and you can't be allowed near him. Over time you notice the abyss slowly corrupting you friend, but whenever you mention it to them they get mad at you, wanting to help your friend you join the abyss too. The abyss twin keeps you very close almost never letting you leave the abyss, when you and dainsleif met again and the traveller is with him, the abyss twin immediately orders you to leave but you stay, wanting to consult dainsleif about the absolute crap your friend has gotten in too. The abyss twin ends up dragging you back to the abyss and let's just say there not happy.
This is all I've got for now please feel free to take these or give me your ideas

The Enraged Inferno || Part 2
╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗
Character: Diluc
Type: Angst, tragedy, Revenge and Reader in her villian era
Tags: Fem!Reader
Requester: @sailorstar9
Content: Years later, Since the reader's distant relative is Baizhu, it would make sense she would have Dendro healing abilities, as Baizhu have been training you to defend yourself and medically educate you. However, ironically, you were in your villain era, You were angry, you felt robbed. This was trauma without you realizing it. Despite being taught to be a catalyst user, you decided, why in the hell would you even try at this point? You decided, a sword would suit you much better. How would life continue after this?
Trigger Warning: I might be a little violent in this story to stress the Villain Era the reader is in, and also, dealing with trauma so please proceed with caution. I might add cursing a bit, please let me know if you can feel the idea of the reader without the cursing.
Part 1: Here
╚══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╝╚══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╝╚══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╝
You applied medicine to your scars to help ease the sore aches. This medicine was specifically made for you by Baizhu. You rubbed your healed yet scarred wounds with medicine as you stared at them blankly.
"W-What are you doing!? S-Stop! It hurts! W-Why?? AHHH!!"
Those words of your own voice echoed in your head, you clenched your jaw. Three faces burned in your head, you remembered them so clearly. As they were the result of your so called infamous death. You stood up, and took your sword with you. Of course you kept your catalyst weapon with you out of habit.
You walked out your room, and went down to manage the register up front as you rubbed your forehead to help keep a calm your expression. You don’t want to scare customers, and you never intended ruin Uncle Baizhu's business with your own issues anyways. Qiqi was doing her usual things such as organizing the shelfs. You walked to the register, and got ready for the day.
"I'll manage the register today but only because I actually have another job for you, my dear" Baizhu appeared from behind, as he was in the storage room of the pharmacy pulling out fresh medicine in a series of crates.
"Good morning, Uncle. What do you need me to do today?" You walked to him and helped him unload the crates of fresh medicine. You were strong even to carry these crates like nothing, and of course, Baizhu would notice and comment on it, however not this time, since there was another matter at hand to be concerned about. "Well...there is an order that needs to be delivered to Mondstadt. I would like you to do that for me. Our usual deliver men are on break, so I need someone to cover for them. I didn’t find anyone in time, so you are my last option. I apologize for dropping this on you so suddenly my dear. I'll make it up to you."
You looked at him surprised as you remembered-- Baizhu doesn’t entirely know that you faked your death in Mondstadt. He only knew that you almost got hurt and that you needed a safer place to be in. However it had been years, and you have been training to be better in self defense. Out of anger, out of fear, out of revenge. You wanted to taste the days where you get to strangle those servants with your own hands. You know, you practiced, unknowingly to Baizhu. You await that experience to drip in your mouth, as though-- right now, you remain thirsty.
You nodded slowly with your arms crossed, deep in thought. "No worries, I got it, I'll prepare to leave in the afternoon." Baizhu smiled. "Wonderful, thank you my dear. And...I know your mother passed away recently, but...I know she's very proud of you. If only we knew, we could have helped, but your mother isn’t the kind of women to speak up when needed to be" He placed his hand on your shoulder. You smiled, but that was just a mask. You knew that very well with your mother, but don’t worry. That ends with you, you'll be the first women to speak up and scream to let them know who you are.
You especially wanted to dig deeper graves for those three servants, deeper than your own mother's grave. Deeper, to the point of touching hell itself. You'd rather be a criminal then some innocent bystander. You rather cause a shitshow then be in one. You rather cause chaos and sink your hands in those who deserve it. You didn’t care. Jean included. She doesn’t get off empty handed. None of them do. And Dulic...would you rather he pity you helplessly or fear you graciously? I don’t need to provide such an answer do I? Fuck those prissy shits.
Later on, you already left, you bid your polite goodbyes to Baizhu and Qiqi, as you were preparing to take the walk to your homeland. You wonder how life is like on there. You wore dark clothing, black pants, black turtleneck sweater, black shoes, bags under your eyes, as you nightmares of your incident. You used to wear such pretty and light clothes. Such innocent bloodstained clothes. Don’t worry, this time, the blood won’t be yours, and it would never show on black clothing would it? You were walking on your path to Mondstadt, as you were passing Guili Plains.
Some hilicurls spotted you nearby and ran towards you, without hesitation, you swung your sword and decapitated them all in one swing. You placed your foot on one of heads and crushed it under your foot. It was like you crushed a large snail shell. Stiff but with enough pressure, it breaks. You looked at the shielded mitachurl with malicious and murderous intent. Immediately, the mitachurl backed away sensing violence in you. You stepped forward, planning to be merciless and brutal towards it, however with that step, the mitachurl ran away.
"No one will mess with me...no one will take me as a joke. Ever again." You muttered to yourself and walked towards Mondstadt once more. Your lovely homeland.
A day later, you arrived there and looked around. Nothing changed, it was the same. You walked to the person you needed to deliver the medicine to, it was a man named Anthony. The medicine was for his sick little sister named Anna. She had a chronic illness, he is trying everything to help her feel better. Once you bid the man farewell, there was one thing has plagued your mind, what had come of the home you grew up in? You walked to your neglected home, the one you used to live in since a baby. You still had the keys to it. You went to the corner of Mondstadt and saw it, it was the same but had overgrown greenery, however, it was still...home. You unlocked the door and walked in, and saw dust and clutter everywhere. Boxes, and taken down picture frames.
You wondered if your mother was suffering from guilt from sending you away, however, it doesn’t matter now, she was gone. You were gone. Everything was gone.
You sighed. Regret filled your lungs, as you looked at the pictures of you and your beloved mother, as you loved her but you were so angry with her. You cried enough before, but being here makes you want to cry again, this was the home place of your mother. You never really had a father, it was just you and her. Now it's just you. The loneliness is aggravating. You started to go through through the mail, as it had pile up over the months, until you saw a letter that caught your eye. A letter from the Favonius Knights to sell the house since there was no one there paying for it nor the bills in it.
You thought for a moment. Could you perhaps move back in Mondstadt? Take over this home, and maybe, return to a life here. You thought for a moment, then thoughts of Diluc flood your mind, Jean, and her servants. You assumed they married and had children. You felt disgusted. "Hah, bunch of weak backed shit heads. I'll show them." You muttered with a reverge thirsty smile. However, the deeper the smile, the more empty and lonely it was.
You took the letter in your clutch and left. You walked into the Favonius Headquarters, and walked in on Jean in her office. Jean looked up, as her jaw dropped, and stood up. "Y-You..but...you.."
You looked at her unfazed. "Is that really yo-"
You placed the paper in front of her on her desk. "Shut up."
You pointed at the letter. "My mother passed, so I will be taking over the house, so no need to ransack it or sell it" You had malice and murder in your eyes. Yet you were emotionless. You wanted to strangle this women with every inch of your life.
Jean took a step back, startled. "You...You aren’t the same person as before...you...you're different."
You glared at her silently. "Man, if I could strangle you here and now, I would. However, I have better things to do then to waste my time on some waste of flesh here in front of me."
Jean's jaw dropped once again, as she looked at you worried. She took the stamp and stamped the letter with shaking hands. As she is well aware of murderous glare you had towards her. You took the paper and turned to leave. This was not like you. Not like you at all. This wasn’t the person she knew when you two were younger.
"Wait..." Jean stopped you, as you continued to walk out. "Wait!" Jean ran and stopped in front of you. "In case you didn’t know...Diluc and I didn’t get married...so so...you can stop your anger towards me! He voided it and he left. He...He owns a winery now, but I am still trying to get him back and make him marry me! So still consider us engaged! So don-"
"Good for you." You said coldly, and not really feeling like your anger had to be justified to her. You walked passed her.
"Also..." Jean continued hesitantly. "Your boss, Baizhu, said you had another order of medicine, he sent me a messenger about it..." You sighed and groaned with your head tilted back and eyes closed. "Can’t you leave me alone you petrified shithead...?"
Jean was taken aback at your reaction to her, even more that this was from your job, and not even in her control. She was used to you being kind, she was used to being loving and forgiving. No matter what she did to make you hurt and suffer, you always smiled and forgave her. You even wished her happy marriage, this only made Diluc like you more, as nothing seem to faze you. Despite nothing still fazing you now, your kindness was gone.
All you see, is a pile of useless shit in front of you. The downfall of Mondstadt. Jean felt your eyes as such. She sighed and held both her hands up. "O-Okay okay, dear Archons..."
Jean gave you an address to the delivery. "Here, this person ordered medicine just now, you should get it to them..." You took it and left. Jean watched you leave as she felt shivers down her spine. She had a bad feeling about you.
You can finally breathe, it was suffocating in there, like close enough you were about to punch her. But now isn’t the right time for that, there will be a time and place. You always knew that.
You walked back to your now renowned home, as you looked at the address. "Huh...a winery..?" You began making the medicine and preparing it. You then wrote a letter to Baizhu, about you living in Mondstadt and you will expand his business in Mondstadt.
The next day, you looked at the address and walked outside of Mondstadt, and straight to a large mansion placed in the middle of nowhere. "Huh...a big winery...but also a big mansion..." There was a line of grapes crops and a small town nearby. You walked to the door, and knocked. Adelinde, a maid of Diluc answered, as she held the door open. "Ah, thank you for the medicine. We have to sign a receipt that we received it, yes?"
You nodded and held up your hand crafted receipt as you don’t have access to the record papers. It was back in Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue. You needed to keep records of orders in case anything, business rules. Baizhu was smart for that especially when it came to taxes. " You walked in, and looked around. "This all...kinda seems familiar..." you whispered to yourself.
Adelinde opened Dulic's main office, as you walked in with the papers for him to sign, you gazed around his office, then onto him. Diluc has yet to acknowledge you, as you looked at him with a blank face. His hair had grown, he looks more like his father now. He is taller now, he got more muscular now. He dresses more astrostcatic now, despite his attempt to blend in.
You walked up to him without a care for manners or etiquette and placed the paper on his desk. "Please sign for your order." You said, as you wanted to leave as soon as possible.
Just then Diluc looked up at the paper, and nodded. "Yes, one moment." He had an annoyed expression, and then took out a pen to sign. But then he looked up, and his gaze fell onto you, and he paused.
His eyes went wide, as his face went pale. His annoyed expression dropped as he takes in this life changing occurence slowly. He gasp as he immediately stood up and walked to you and pulled you into a tight hug. "I...I thought you were gone..." He spoke in such a desperate tone.
His eyes were shut tight, as tears fell onto your cheek. Finally, a tragedy that wasn’t true. He desperately nuzzled your hair, as he slowly leaned back against his desk while hugging you. You were standing in between his legs, being held against his chest.
You sighed and pulled away using your hands on his chest to push yourself away from him. You looked up at him with a tired and blank face. "Sign the receipt so I can go." You said coldly. He looked at you, confused. This wasn’t the same, kind and sweet woman he knew. "Huh...?" He placed his hand on your chin and gently pulled you to look up at him, and look at your face. "What...What happened to you..?" He looked into your dead eyes and scrutinize your tired face.

Tumblr media
༶ Wriothesley
-you'd be very clingy and he wouldn't mind at all. he likes it very much. he thinks you look adorable.
-and then he'd compliment you.
-and you can't accept it.
-stubbornly not accepting it.
-you just didn't believe it, and didn't want to lie to him.
-so he kept being persistent.
-until he forced you to accept it.
-"you're a handsome man. accept it already." and it was like the 57374th time he repeated it.
-looking down, being in complete silence with him for a few seconds.
-until you sighed and looked back up at him.
-"fine."
-it was a great start in his opinion.

ෆ Neuvillette
-he finds you being clingy really cute.
-and loves complimenting you because of your cuteness.
-but then you don't accept it... it makes him feel sad for you.
-so he'd be so gentle with you, step by step. until you said it yourself.
-making you believe it.
-"fake it till you make it." was what he said to you, calling it "modern day language" just in hopes that you'd finally accept it.
-and after a lot of practicing, he makes you repeat after him.
-"repeat after me. i'm a strong and independent man."
-"i'm a strong and independent man..." you were insecure, but you said it!
-he then hugged you gently and kissed the top of your head.
-"my strong and independent man..."

彡 Diluc
-he would sometimes get annoyed by your clinginess. we have to be honest here.
-but thankfully, it wasn't the reason for your self-depricating.
-it was about other stuff...
-no worries. when he complimented yoy about something, and you just discarded it, he knew something was wrong.
-it happened every time he told you something nice about yourself.
-once he confronted you about it, and you still didn't listen.
-he thought it was his time to help you.
-first, he apologized for sometimes being annoyed by you.
-but then, reassured you until you accepted that you were a smart man.
-"okay." and it was just enough for him.
