Okay, pertaining to this post, let me make myself clear about something because I may have confused a couple or whatnot of you.

When I was talking about their relationship, I wasn't saying Bakugou thought Todoroki was weak and now thought he was strong. We all know how threatened Bakugou felt when he got into Yuuei because he realized he wasn't the only one with a strong quirk. Honestly, I felt as he wanted to make a statement as in "you all may have strong quirks, but let me show you I'm strong too" or something along those lines during the Sports Festival arc. He does recognize the potential his classmates have with their quirks. Or least, that's what I'm seeing.

With that said, again, I was talking about a relationship here. Not their strengths. I wasn't even trying to make it shippy, just pointing out that Bakugou has gotten to a point of coming to a common ground with a classmate and seeing him not just as a rival, but a friend or an ally. His growth when it comes to other characters.

Not "oh, Bakugou thought Todoroki was weak, but now see him as strong".

I'm not upset, we all have our misinterpretations and whatnots of other's posts. I just wanted to clear up what I was trying to say here because I'm sure this post and some of my other posts have probably confused people before. It happens. If a post of mine does confuse you, just ask me to clear it up.

Then, looking from the haggard Aizawa to the deer-in-headlights-eyed Todoroki, he shuts his mouth with a huff. "Alright, Icy Hot. Let's find you a personality."

And then one day there’s a knock on the door too early to be the end of his SO’s shift. He knows, when he sees the solemn, apologetic faces outside his door. It’s not hard to guess.

What follows is a time of grief. There’s memorials and TV specials and interviews and the funeral. There’s visiting relatives and friends and things to sift through and a future to figure out without his SO in it anymore. There’s so much to do. It keeps him busy--keeps him numb. And through it all, there’s a new familiar face that continues to present itself. At first, Katsuki would have assumed that he’d forever associate that face with the worst news of his life, and for at least the first several times it reappeared, he had. But time heals, and that face begins to bring its own healing with it.

Meanwhile, Katsuki’s SO’s coworker (author’s choice) is tasked with the heavy and intimidating task of informing said SO’s spouse about the incident. Somehow, what was meant to be a single visit to deliver the ugly news becomes a series of visits as (author’s choice) copes with the loss of their friend and learns about the domestic side of their coworker that they never knew.

OR,

Katsuki grieves for his husband, (author’s choice) grieves for their friend and coworker. Two people who barely knew each other existed find comfort in learning about the parts of their mutual lost loved one that the other did not know. They find healing together.

i've recently started to appreciate tdbkdk as a trio more, whether platonic or romantic. and it was all because of ONE fic. that being said, tdbk is still not my top preference but you'd have to be blind to not see how well fed they were this season.
