I love ur posts abt sayaka and byakuya 👁👁 they genuinely have such similar traits where their personal identity and self worth are purely ingrained into their jobs and how well they perform those jobs

i think they could achieve so much together, and they could have really profound conversations with each other. i also do think theres enormous room for conflict in this combination if theyre unhealthy, i like to think about AUs where things Do Not Go Well. togami being an extremely closed off person because vulnerability = exposure and danger and patheticness and its Bad and wrong and should be avoided at all costs (its not as simple as that but you GET the idea) and also he needs to stay at the top of every situation out of fear of being controlled....... He really does think hes got sayaka wrapped around her finger, but its the other way around. it would take so much work and time and effort for togami to let himself be weak and vulnerable and kind and gentle for the first time of his life with someone, and he's FINALLY found someone who TRULY gets him, who understands the struggle of depending on your title to be worthy and valuable and most of all to have a sense of identity because of it; and something comes up that puts sayaka, a potentially manipulative person (just like togami) in a situation of danger, pressuring her to hurt togami or betray him, maybe framing him for murder or even killing him. i think about this constantly. i think about it so much. things between sayaka and togami could go so, so badly if theyre not careful and circumstances dont work well.

togami and sayaka parallels are so incredible it just blows my mind. they both depend on something (sayakas career as an idol, togami corporation) to feel worthy and to have a sense of .. purpose? if said thing falls apart, their entire identity does too..

theyre also both really competitive and have very strong outward confidence. theyre pragmatic and action oriented, both with big dreams and goals to achieve

byakuya and sayaka friendship is so important. theyre both the competitive type but they dont actually compete with each other, they, in fact, join forces and achieve great things together and empower each other.

sayaka has worked her ass off all her life to achieve her dream. her concept of self worth directly depends on the external validation she gets from as a pop idol. if her career falls apart, so does her and her sense of identity.

togami has only known hard work, hostility and coldness since he was a child. if the togami corporation falls apart, so does his sense of purpose.

i really think they could understand each other and connect really well? theyre honestly such a good combination and id love to see more content of it (i'll create it all myself in the mean time)

i think some of the conflicts / disagreements sayaka and togami could have is that. togami wants to be completely self sufficient and independent, and sayaka (while individualistic) still believes in team work and depending on others
