okay, okay, I'm in. I hope entertainment advertisers realize how effective tumblr's gif makers are. (like seriously, Netflix - well played. I didn't like your clown in a barrel idea but damn, our gif makers are working HARD for you)

I figured, what the hell? I wasn't interested in the promos and I never got into the manga (I just - I couldn't, I'm sorry. The art drove me nuts. I realize art's subjective so I'm glad other people could jam with it but oh good LORD! It did the opposite of nothing for me in entirely the wrong direction).

But hey, netflix is supporting tumblr by giving it ad money for the series (and I do want my tumblr to continue to live without having to sell my privacy down the river and ad revenue for entertainment companies is right up tumblr's alley of interest). Also, as stated previously, the gifs look interesting so I figured I'd watch the opening.

Gang, I am fifteen minutes into this show and I already love, who I assume, are the first two main characters of our cast (potentially three but I'm enchanted by two of them so far). Which - we all know I watch stories for their characters so you've got me so far but -

oh my wow! The sets? Holy Cow! Every single place we've been in the show so far is LUSH. Just - incredibly beautiful. It seriously looks like they're filming this with art in mind. Like - making the setting part of the story. This world is BEAUTIFUL and I've seen a port, a pirate ship, a row boat, a lot of ocean and an island shrine so far and I want to move already. Buy me a plane ticket, Sammi and I are headed that way.

So we've got a detailed, lived in, beautiful, interesting world as our setting and two characters I already REALLY enjoy interacting with and we're only fifteen minutes in.

I was just going to let this run in the background to give it its Netflix viewing bump while I caught up on what my tumblr dash was doing but - nope! Looks like I need to get my snacks and settle in for real because I am having so much FUN with this so far! I'll keep you updated as I go but so far?

It's feeding me VERY well!

The whole it looks like we’re going to have to kill this guy to the audience but the camera is facing Daisuke.

Also Takeru and Hikari’s play analysis of the soccer game where Daisuke and his team versus Ken reminds me just how much of a great team they are.

I will add Hikari holding demiveemon to support him is commendable. That’s something my Takari team does not have.
