(HOLY MACARONI- THIS TOOK FOREVER! I’M SO PROUD OF MYSELF AHEEHAHUHO)
(🚫 WARING: THIS IS NOT CANON! Danny Dayshine is my Welcome Home OC, and he is not at all part of the actual Welcome Home cast! However, please don’t steal him/claim them as your own! Thank you and don’t forget to wave up high! :) 🚫)
Very personal lessons I learned from 13 and Yaz. I will be forever grateful.
The upside down triangle, often in pink, has been used as a reclaimed symbol in lgbtq spaces. It has a dark past in the holocaust as a marker, which many now choose to wear with pride. But there are folks who see it as a painful reminder. I use it here in reclamation and pride, but have placed it behind a “keep reading” tab so that you can make the choice that suits your heart.
I made some moodboards! The two gray fox ones are based on me!! Gray foxes are my main theriotype/only confirmed theriotype :D The bear one I made for my fiance (who's just a regular ol' human as far as we know (boring ik but I still love him <3 /lh))
☆
No promises, but if you comment or reblog an animal and a vibe/color, I might make a moodboard based on it!
Each flower, kimono pattern, and kimono color have symbolic meaning I associate with each of these ladies.
Mariko: Swallows represent fertility, marital fidelity, and good luck. Yellow is for the sun, good luck and cheerfulness. The plum blossoms (Ume) she’s holding are signs of endurance in adversity and hope.
Chizu: In ancient Japan Ravens were believed to carry the souls of the recently departed and are symbols of the will of the gods/heavenly intervention. Red means power in many forms, passion and when worn by a young woman it’s considered glamorous. She’s holding a Spider Lily which is associated with death, because “…a ninja’s business in life is death.”
Tomoe Ame: Koi fish for courage, perseverance, loyalty and love. Blue symbolizes many things but I choose it for dignity, calmness and stability. The flowers are Chrysanthemum (Kiku) for nobility because she serves a lord, and longevity because she’s done it her whole life, and Cherry blossoms (Sakura) which are symbols of Samurai because they represent the relationship between life and death, beauty and violence. Absolutely perfect for Tomoe.
Please don’t post elsewhere, reblog or otherwise steal without giving me credit for having made this. I put a lot of love and effort into this and it means a lot to me.
AM I INSANE OR DOES THIS SOUND LIKE THE ENDING OF SEASON 2?
Aziraphale did the bad thing, and Crowley did the good thing. Yet both ended up getting it wrong.
Aziraphale choosing Heaven because he believes that maybe he can change it if he is in charge despite them treating him like trash? It could be seen as a bad thing.
Crowley finally choosing to love Aziraphale openly despite their origins? That could be a good thing.
But imagine…..BOTH WERE WRONG. Mostly in the way they went about it, therefore making neither side “RIGHT”.
Aziraphale wanted to change Heaven but it came with the idea of reinstatement of Crowley’s angelic status. That's what made Aziraphale’s choice WRONG. He shouldn't have even suggested to Crowley that he could become an angel again as he of all people knows that Crowley was kicked out of Heaven, so why would he want to go back to a place that showed him that he wasn’t good enough?
Crowley wanted to just love Aziraphale and run away from it all, but the way he showed Aziraphale and the timing was painful. He put Aziraphale in an awful position as he made a last-ditch attempt to possibly tempt him into staying. Would Aziraphale feel love from that? Or would he feel desperation and anger? He is now caught in a whirlwind of emotions he had never felt before. So Crowley wasn't RIGHT either.
However Aziraphale does hint at something.
“It's ineffable.”
Even if both weren't exactly right, there is a sense of ineffability to it all. That single moment triggered emotions that were simply too great to express or even describe in Aziraphale and Crowley.
Millions of years of repression just unraveled in seconds and they are both going to have to face the truth. There is no way to go back to pretending.
They can only find a way forward by communicating what those emotions are and what they are actually thinking about to the other. Only then can it be made RIGHT.
Ok, I said in an earlier post that it’s been roughly eleven years since I last did Usagi fanart (TMNT is fairly more recent, but predominately Raphael stand-alone pieces), so here I am trying to rectify that grievous situation.
Scenario is pretty straightforward. Leo went to visit Usagi in his world; being cold blooded Leo catches a bad cold, knowing these two meddling busybodies they probably have at least one band of bandits and like three ninja clans hot on their trail, and Usagi is balancing feelings of guilt and trying to protect Leo until he’s better enough to move on from the shady Inn they’re currently hiding in.
You know, business as usual for our boys.🤗
Please excuse the lack of proper background, I just wanted to focus on learning how to draw these two in my style. Medium is colored pencils and Faber-castel pens.
Please don’t steal or reblog without giving me credit, that shit hurts💔😢
