DCMK/Ace Attorney crossover has so much comedic potential.

After Kaito graduates high school, he becomes a professional magician and travels the world preforming. (Funnily enough, KID has also started doing more international heists. Weird coincidence, right?)

Anyway, Kaito goes to Japanifornia for a few shows.

Trucy is of course a huge fan of both KID and Kaito Kuroba and wants to go to his shows which is how they get involved in the case.

Someone dies at KID's heist and poor Kaito (who definitely only came to watch because he is such a huge KID fan! Honest!) is accused of the murder. Trucy insists they defend her idol.

The WAA has people with magic truth finding powers, but they never think to ask Kaito if he is KID, only if he committed the murder, and of course he didn't, so they agree to defend him.

(I am not sure if it is funnier if they never figure out Kaito is KID or they realize it but recognize it has nothing to do with the case and they can't prove it, so whatever. But if they figure it out Trucy says something like, "magicians keep each other's secrets!" then demands Kaito does a show with her.)

Kaito at least partly goes with Phoenix as a defense attorney because he is famous for getting Mask☆DeMasque off the hook.

Also Ron DeLite is a huge KID fan. So is Maya.

Conan is there (because of reasons? Still investing the Black Organization? Idk) and, of course, he came to the KID heist too and, of course, got involved in the murder.

Conan is so upset that the legal system in this country went ahead with a trial before he was even allowed to investigate. He sneaks in of course which is how Phoenix meets him during the investigation phase.

Upon asking something as simple as Conan's name Phoenix is faced with a full five Psyche-Locks. Logically, he is sure this kid must have something to do with the crime, right? Too suspicious.

Poor Detective Gumshoe keeps messing up and Conan is ready to lose it. He can't believe Gumshoe is allowed to call himself a detective and he isn't even allowed onto the crime scene.

I struggled to decide which prosecutor would be best for this case, but I think Klavier is the funniest possible option. He knows a lot about show business and can complain about KID stealing his spot light lately.

(After the trial, Klavier tries to get Kaito to be part of one of his shows because we already know he likes magicians at his concerts. I think Kaito might even be down for it.)

Kaito 100% believes Maya when she says that she can summon spirits of the dead. Like, yeah, sure, he has seen weirder shit. He is looking for weirder shit.

If this is post Duel Destinies I can see them being very uncomfortable with Kaito's disguise abilities.

Kaito is of course found not guilty of the murder. Maybe he is even found not guilty of being KID too, like Ron DeLite. (Hakuba just loses it when he hears this)

They never did find out what was up with Conan's Psyche-Locks.

Saw a post the other day asking how P03 is able to see; my best guess is something like this.

I actually inspected P03′s 3D model for this which I don’t usually do (and then I proceeded to draw it off-model anyway. Whoops) but even outside of its hypothetical camera-vision, there’s a few other things of note:

P03 seems to have a lot of large vents (or at least things that look like some sort of ventilation/cooling). Two major ones on the chest, three on the top of the head (with potentially another on the side of its head), and one on the underside of its base (though that one might be for the hologram projection it uses to float). My best guess is that it’s because his factory is built right by the water where there would be a TON of moisture in the air. For that reason, some of them have got to be exhausts to make sure all of the air circulating in his torso is dry. That or he just overheats extremely easily I guess, but I’m leaning towards the humidity explanation (or it could be a combination of the two).

Its “eyes” are somewhere on the front of its face; whether it sees through a camera or just through the eyes on the screen via video game magic is up for debate, but it turns to face the player when they stand up so its vision probably isn’t on the sides of its head or something.

Similarly, P03 has some sort of sensitivity to touch (he reacts to Leshy’s hands gripping his monitor before Leshy says anything). I don’t think any “touch sensors” would be externally visible though.

Presumably (based on the ending to Act 3) P03′s head isn’t just a monitor, there’s vital systems in there as well (otherwise tearing its head off wouldn’t do anything to disrupt its upload/its ability to function). My best guess is that his power supply is in his chest so it would be the equivalent of just... unplugging your computer while it’s trying to preform updates.

The wire it uses to connect to the modules to update cards in Act 3 seems to come from either its neck or its torso, but in act 2 it’s very visibly on the side of the head. Granted the act 2 sprites are all pretty different from the Scrybes’ 3D models so that’s not an outlier.

The range of motion in P03′s arm seems pretty similar to a human arm; he has a ball-and-socket joint on the shoulder and a hinge joint on his elbow plus separate segments for the “wrist” and “hand”. The only thing it probably can’t do is twist its forearm.

I don’t have any idea what either of the cranks do. The head crank moves when it changes its expression so it might have something to do with its display, but the arm crank is only shown doing anything on the G0lly Uberbot hologram. My best guess is that P03 used to have a lot more built-in functions but ended up removing them in order to operate faster so a lot of the buttons and switches on it are just vestigial leftovers. (The idea of the arm crank being able to function as a hand-crank motor in a pinch is really funny though. Spin it a few times when P03 is out of power and you can generate just enough battery for it to tell you to fuck off then go back into sleep mode again).

I have no idea how the levitation works either. It’s cool and that’s why it works. No need to get more complicated than that.

ive been seeing a lot of shout outs to people who can't shower or clean or brush their teeth, which, good, but i also wanted to make a different, more specific type of post, so:

shout out to people who have to sacrifice certain hygiene practices (or what the general public considers clean/dirty) because of their disability

shout out to people who can't use wash cloths or alternatives

shout out to people who can't cut, trim, clean or file their nails

shout out to people who can only shower in hot water, causing outbursts of rashes, acne, etc

shout out to people who sweat or smell so much that deodorants/anti perspirants don't do anything for them, or who otherwise can't use them

shout out to people who can't use most soaps or shampoos

shout out to people who can't participate in skin care (lotions, face masks, etc)

shout out to people who can't shave and have issues with hygiene because of it (i.e, smelling worse or sweating more)

shout out to people who can't use menstrual products easily/at all

shout out to people who can't brush or comb their hair

shout out to people who can't brush their teeth, tongue, gums, etc

shout out to people who need a caregiver to help them shower, no matter how much help they need

shout out to people who have bladder or intestinal issues and therefore struggle with bodily fluids/being gassy/etc

shout out to people who have to clean parts of their body by “soap flow” because they can't reach to wash properly

(this also applies for any sort of struggling, not just “can't”!)

the thing is i think that like. afab and amab as terms arent like. a bad thing?? like if you're talking about urself and ur assigned gender happens to be relevant and is preferrable to another descriptor (eg if ur dysphoric abt ur body to some it may be easier to say ur agab rather than describing ur features) or describing a situation where thats relevant then like. sure! its just like any other word u just use it cus it makes sense- (note this only applies if YOU'RE using the term when you're talking about YOURSELF)

the problem is that when other people use or ask for someone's agab there's some kind of weird implication that it somehow changes how you behave, and that based on that you can put people into a new binary which shouldnt exist and negatively effects all trans people

people ask if you're amab expecting that to mean you're inherently more patriarchal, dangerous, "masculine" - and if you're afab expecting that to mean you're inherently more quiet, sweet, "feminine" - and BOTH of these fucking suck!!

I recently played the Spirit of Vengeance FP again and when the cutscene of the aftermath played and we Saw Heta presenting her speech to her supporters, something clicked.

See that? In addition to what happend to Bask Sunn in "Showdown on Ruhnuk", Tyrus Brokenblade also fell on Kessan's Landing.

My guess is that with the next story-fragment, we get to face off agains Durn and hopefully after that, Heta herself.

I didn't realise that they gave us this very obvious fight-the-small-fish-first-and-then-the-big-one hint at the beginning of the "Hidden Chain" storyline, but here we are.

I find it also interesting that Heta talks about reliability in this speech. Making a statment with injuring Tyrus and endangering not only the people in the room but herself.

Now that she found out about Bask's betrayal and his greed (who would've known /s) and the loss of Tyrus, the mentality with which she will continue her operations will propably get very interesting.

Since Sa'har, her interest in mando-communication also seems very neglected. I don't know if this is on purpose or if the few cutscenes we got just gave away too little information.

I would also need to rewatch every cutscene to build upon my theories.

Mike Wheeler Power AU

this has been on my mind for a while; i might try and write it myself-

Mike Wheeler who cant die, Mike Wheeler who can see and talk and interact with ghosts.

(Think like Klaus from the umbrella academy.)

Mike Wheeler who is #13 from Hawkins lab but never showed any powers outwardly so the lab gets rid of him via adoption, they figure he's too young to remember anything from the lab anyway, and if he's living in Hawkins they can monitor him just in case powers do pop up.

Except no powers pop up and at 13 they figure 'He's a normal kid with a very active imagination and no powers' and so they drop the surveillance and focus on El (self explanatory), and Will once back from the upside down and has more promise power wise the Mike ever did in their eyes.

Mike grows up adopted by the Wheelers who thought Karen, who was having fertility problems, wouldn't ever be able to give them a second child like they wanted (Holly was their miracle baby after Mike) They 'Love' him, provide for him, try to connect with him; but its hard; He's hard to connect with.

Mike has an 'overactive imagination' and new imaginary friends pop up each week, The Wheelers think he's being rude when he tells them his newest imaginary friend is a older man named Mr. Charlie; Karen tells him to stop making fun of their old neighbour's death. Mike was never aware he passed.

Mike always seems to know things he shouldn't, like how the late Mrs. Johnson had a drug problem or that Miss Read had passed away in her sleep before the general populace knew she was dead.

Ted tells Karen something is wrong with Mike; that maybe they were wrong to adopt. When Mike brings up his dead grandmother who Karen never talks about she agrees, They take him to a exorcist, they take him to church regularly and slowly Mike gets 'fixed'

Mike is 13 when he first figures out something about him isnt quite right.

When he jumps from the quarry El can't catch him and he falls. He finds himself in a barren white space with a tall women who takes him in her arms and promises everything will be alright. He wakes up on edge of the quarry, El and Dustin looming over him, Dustin crying and yelling and El giving him a look he cant quite decipher.

El 'saved' him, at least thats what Dustin thinks; in reality El brought what should have been his corpse back atop the quarry, and she is very confused as to how Mike survived.

El still disappears, and Mike is left alone with no one to help him figure out what's going on. He cant ask his parents, he doesn't trust or know how to contact Owens so he acts normal and focuses on Will. The quarry death incident is pushed to the back of his mind once he realizes something is wrong with Will and from there things progress like canon until he finds El with Hopper.

Mike still breaks down and gets mad at Hopper, then he's reunited with El.

(in my mind El and Mike don't really get involved romantically, when he's with her he's more focused on trying to figure out how the fuck he didn't die and who the lady in white space is.)

(I suppose you could imagine this with whatever romantic pairing for Mike you want, I prefer Byler; however you can imagine mileven if you want, you do you)

S2&3 progress similar to canon; Max & Billy show up, however Mike still plays D&D with Will and doesn't brush if off like he did in the show, its a good distraction from everything else.

Then things start going sideways with the mindflayer, Mike gets overwhelmed with how many people are being possessed; the mindflayer basically pushes the soul out of its body and suddenly Mike is seeing tons of souls that shouldn't be souls, He realizes something is really wrong when he sees double of Will & Billy (possessed body and wandering soul)

Mike can't really talk to the souls of the mindflayers victims till they die, thats kinda of when he realizes that the people he sees are ghosts.

Will & El move, Mike sends letters to El about his maybe powers, he doesn't send letters to Will trying to call daily instead, Joyces job holds up the line, he wont send letters to Will though, focused on trying to figure himself out, and he can never figure out how to write letters to Will well, they always end up too intimate (insert lettergate here lol)

Will & Mikes family assume he's dating El, He still joins hellfire and still plans to go to california. Max still pulls away, deals with Vecnas curse, Lucas & her are still broken up, Chrissy still dies in Eddies trailer starting the manhunt and Vecna arc.

However Vecna targets Mike first; noesbleeds, hallucinations, the whole nine yards. Mike flouts, his bones break and he dies.

Instead of the tall woman in whitespace Mike ends up having a flashback to the lab; he sees himself with El and 01 and the other numbers; #13 tattooed on pale white skin. He sees his adoption after the scientists determined he had no powers. He sees one of them burn the tattoo off him before he's adopted by the Wheelers.

He wakes up in a pool of his own blood knowing more about himself then he ever has, he understands himself better now.

Then he gets shipped off to California.

(This is a rough draft, this has also been eating away at my brain for the past few days. I will be writing more, and refining it. If you wanna use this to write something please do, then tag me, i wanna read it. Also expect more little bits from this AU. I have gotten very attached)

Ok. Time to combine my brain worms. Kitagoro and old anime. That Combattler V cameo had me thinking about them watching old anime together.

So here is a list of some I think they would watch together:

Rose of Versailles. It's a good watch to get emotional with your husband and be gripped by the drama!

Combattler V. It was already on TV in that one scene. I also just think they'd see various old super robot anime because the designs make Kitaoka think of Magnugiga. I can also see them watching real robot ones too.

Legend of The Galactic Heroes. I dare you to look me in the eyes and tell me Kitaoka wouldn't be a snob over how he loves this one. And would go on about how he has immaculate taste, and how he owns it all on Laserdisc. Because he absolutely would.

Lupin The Third. It's a fun watch with lots to pick from. Would be good over a nice meal by Goro too.

Dirty Pair. The two would debate who is the better of the lovely angels. I personally headcanon Goro to be on Team Kei, and Kitaoka on Team Yuri.

I know many of us are feeling incredibly helpless right now in relation to Palestine/watching a genocide…I had a thought and I want to share it, especially for my fellow white American followers who probably also are trying to unpack the white supremacy we grew up in and look at the world from a more decolonized lens. These are ideas I have learned over the past several years mainly from following Black and brown creators but haven’t seen many white leftists discussing.

There isn’t a quick, easy solution to get those in power to listen and stop a genocide. But there ARE everyday things you can do to help the communities around you. Maybe those are things that will directly help Palestinians, maybe they’re not. But they matter, and I think now is a good opportunity to recognize areas where we could be doing more.

I don’t really have answers, just suggestions I can make based on my experiences as a disabled and trans person, and from listening to queer, disabled Black and brown people. Wearing masks and taking steps to mitigate COVID is something simple you can do (COVID disproportionately affects BIPOC communities, as well as the LGBTQ community, all of which struggle to access health care…it also has a higher chance of killing/further disabling people who are already disabled). Join mutual aid networks, or maybe start them at protests. My area is so, so very red but some of the most help I’ve seen happen has been through mutual aid. And I feel like this has been said a million times but learn to be quiet and listen to Black and brown people. That is often the most valuable thing we can do.

Someone has probably said this more eloquently, but I think we need to realize that what’s happening in Palestine — and the other genocide happening right now — are based in white supremacy. We can’t just “fix”/stop one issue and be done with it; we have to look at the root of the problem.

Again, I don’t have all the answers; more than anything, I just have a lot of thoughts that I haven’t seen expressed specifically among white leftists, so I just felt like putting this out there.

Please feel free to add suggestions for actions we can take. Anyone perpetuating any forms of bigotry will be blocked.

i’ve had this on my mind for awhile and i thought i’d finally share here because it’s an interesting topic (for me, at least) that idk if anyone else has pointed out but-

it never occurred to me how similar Simon and Eileen are as characters (and i’m not just talking about their accents here)

ok so like let me elaborate. Firstly they’re like the first non-hostile npcs you meet, Eileen being the first npc you meet when you just start the game, whilst Simon being the first you meet when you finally reach the DLC, so that similarity they both share is clear there i think

similarly, both sort of have people in their past that you end up coming across and ultimately killing; that being Henryk and/or Gascoigne and Ludwig - and both Eileen and Simon comment on these factors with at least some sort of sorrow (Simon seems to convey this a bit more by how much the tone of his voice changes, but Eileen also kinda portrays this too)

Also, both mention wanting the nightmare to end (though both phrase this differently), with Eileen mentioning wanting the nightmare of the hunt to end (at least from what i can gather of this piece of dialogue), whilst Simon mentions wants the nightmare of the hunters in general to end (like i said before both these guys mention this differently)

that’s all i have so far atm, but if anyone else has anymore things they could add to this do feel free to share, i’d be interested to see if anyone else has anything else to say about these two. sorry if this seemed quite rambly ;-;

Why is twitter so obsessed with goldenduo, but specifically the fic dynamic goldenduo that isn't present in canon? Like it's more prevalent than beeduo in fics now. What is happening?

there are a few reasons i can see that could've caused this. most probably overlap, and they're all just theories/obversations, but here's my two cents about it

there's an "imbalance" in benchtrio

as popularity in beeduo rose, tommy was left out more and more of the dynamic. benchtrio still was popular, but as was seen in lore streams, he felt left out due to how close beeduo grew while he was dead/gone. to balance that out and give him his own duo outside of those two, purpled was thrust forward. eryn wasn't on the server at the time (the benchtrio conflict around tommy's revival happened in around march of 2021, while eryn joined in october), so there wasn't anyone else "his age" to pair him off with. (i say "his age" in quotations because jack manifold is only two years older than tommy, however, there was the whole "trying to kill tommy" thing, so he was out of the question for these people.)

goldenduo became kind of the parallel for beeduo in these instances. there wasn't someone they could have the beeduo dynamic mirrored in with tommy, as clingy and allium have different dynamic styles, so they were forced to make their own. purpled, being young and his content creator being friendly with tommy in the past, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. which leads me into the next point:

2. these people do not care for purpled's actual character/do not know his character

there are two sections the people who write goldenduo like that fall into. either a. "i don't know cpurpled lore, so i'll just mold him to fit whatever i want him to be" or b. "cpurpled is a villain and irredeemable, so i shall rewrite him into being palatable and friendly instead, since i do not like his canon self". there's a third category, technically, of "i do not actually understand cpurpled/cpurpled's lore on a thematical and analytical sense and just see what i want to see", but in my opinion, that's just another way to phrase group a.

people in group a are typically those that strongly push for the "manipulated minors" dynamic. they know purpled had his ufo blown up, and see him as having been "manipulated" by quackity into joining las nevadas, but know very little else about him. they write his personality not by c or cc, but by the echo chamber they've created for themselves based on the other three teens in the manipulated minors/cmyk dynamic. they draw from what they want a traumatized kid to be: scared, paranoid, touch-starved, etc. which is something i've talked about before; "palatable" trauma responses vs "problematic/unwanted" trauma responses, in which benchtrio are seen as good and right for largely being the "good" kind traumatized who don't lash out in anger/hold "bad" emotions, while purpled is the "bad" kind who does. he's a blank slate for them, and as said above, with beeduo already being paired off, they need someone else for him to be a duo with. enter ctommy.

people in group b are largely the same. they're just much more aware of how cpurpled acts in canon, instead of just pretending he's never like that. they just do what they want with him because he's not a "good" character (in the moral sense, not writing sense) and we can't have moral grayness, so he gets rewritten completely to be that "good". and if he's not, it's about tommy "rescuing" him and showing him how to be that "good" again, as if purpled ever was that in the first place.

3. twitter thinks beeduo fell apart/goldenduo have been interacting again

So about the whole scenario, I managed to watch the scenes (the sound effect, fingers waggling and blushing is so good, made me chuckle), managed to come up with a few ideas (still very rough).:

- He becomes even more agitated and confused, though continues to deny it. Parent and sibling intuition tells the other Burns something’s amiss, but can’t quite put a finger on it.

- Boulder both is unaware of Graham’s feelings and thinks it would be weird for him to confess because there’s a high chance Graham only wants to keep the relationship to rescue work and on a platonic level. Sure, they get along well, been together for a long time, have similar ideologies, enjoys each other’s ’ presence, would be nice to give him a hug and maybe even a smooch- nevermind, emergency time.

- OR Boulder is also unaware he has feelings for Graham as well, which makes him even more confused on the whole situation, for a mountain of reasons.

- Maybe one day, when he was gardening, he ended up asking Mrs Rubio how she and Mr Rubio met. Started with small but sweet talk about that, which became what she likes about him, then romance and thoughts about it in general then, oh.
