I don't know who would read it but it tickles *my* brain and that's enough.#No spoilers for DE (here or in comments (please)) but please consider....Magpie Wei Wuxian B*) On his way to be an innocent.#I do think there is a good chance a chunk of the MDZS readership would enjoy DE but...it's also not a game I easily recommend #It's more of an experience you have to marinate over. It's dark in ways that are off putting to some people.#It makes you feel like a very bad person all the time. It gets extremely personal if you allow yourself to be honest in your answers #and it's also the game that saved my life. My life was truly forever changed after playing disco elysium.#If I recommend it to people it's a badge of the trust I have in you to appreciate something dear to me B'*)#If you decide to play: PLEASE go in as blind as possible. I think if a fanfic says Cass is in Hong Kong the writer should be obligated to explain exactly why she is in Hong Kong and the answer cannot be “I didn’t bother learning anything about her so I shoved her in HK to avoid writing her.”

My entire brain has been overtaken by the Lifeline AU series over the last week or so and I couldn't resist making covers for the whole thing. So here's part one: Empty Oceans, by @slashmagpie.

Tango is an astronaut who has crash-landed on a distant moon far from home. His ship is destroyed, his crew is gone, and he has no way out of here alive. All he has is gritty determination, a healthy amount of sarcasm, and a radio that can only reach one person who isn’t any more prepared to deal with this crisis than he is. Impulse is an engineer who’s been getting into radio tech lately on the urging of his best friend and personal annoyance, Skizz. He can’t seem to get his radio to work, however—at least, not until it starts picking up a distress signal from the other side of the galaxy. Honestly, he probably shouldn’t be getting involved in this, considering he has no idea what he’s doing, but it sounds like this guy really needs help. And who is Impulse to turn down someone in need of help?

got visually spoiled on the literally last thing i was still actively missing and working towards in totk but i dont think im gonna like it anyway ...

if it is what i think it is, and what it looks like to be, its just yet another nail in the coffin (or however you say that) as to why the lore sucks in this game even tho it had such good setup and so much potential

#ganondoodles talks #totk spoilers #tagging it as such bc im gonna say my current thoguhts about it here #again its just visually and i havent seen the text to it yet #so please dont say anythign about it #but #im 100% certain its the reward for all shrines which i dont have yet #and first of all it looks dumb as shit #and second of all its supposed to be the ancient hero in the tapestry isnt it #the zonau got their grimy hands on that too dont they #the thing that was such a cool mystery all this time got solved just like that isnt it #nintendo saw us theorizing about gan being the ancient hero and thought oh gods now we cant give him nuance quickly invent some zonau excus #however that makes sense since they were supposedly long gone by the time the first calamity happened #which still happened even with the time fuckery going on since the tapestry still exists and the last guardian remains #tho it doesnt look quite like a zonau but more like some creepy ass unholy mix of a lizard and gerudo #im gonna wait with my final judgement since i havent read the text yet #but it for sure isnt motivating me more to get all the last 50 or so shrines #i regret finishing the underground first so much man #all you get is a you did it sticker #literally #should have done the shrines first so at least i couldnt get spoiled on that still #im guessing its funney reference or whatever #some mysteries are better left unsolved #didnt want to rush and get all shrines in a hurry and isntead explore it on my own since the exploring part and world is what i love #aside from the music #but i guess i gotta do that now #actual shrine hutning stream incoming i guess #:/

Lady Anne Bradstreet

TW: Anne's not a great person and brief mention of hanging

Anne Henrietta Von Trape Bradstreet was the 7th child and 4th daughter of George Von Trape with his third wife, Mary Kutschera, born on May 10th, 1727. George later died in 1734, leaving young Anne at home with her mother. Alongside her younger sisters, Anne was taken into the home of her second eldest sister, Mary, when she married Prince Kristof, later King Kristof V, in 1737.

In September of 1746, Anne was introduced to Howard Newton, the son of a wealthy merchant. Anne and Howard took a liking to each other immediately and Anne reportedly said in a letter to her sister that, “Even if he was a mill-boy, I would have no greater duty or honor than to be the one he takes to be his bride.” The couple became engaged February 14th of 1747, although their happiness was short-lived. In September, Howard was called to trial for the murder of three other prominent merchants, including his father. Howard, despite his innocence, was found guilty and Mary very quickly had Anne removed from the situation, much to her distress. In a letter to the youngest sister, Elizabeth, Mary wrote: “I do truly worry of Anne. She loves Howie so, but I can not bare to see my sister marry a convicted murder.” Howard was hung in mid-November and quietly buried shortly thereafter, with Anne visiting his grave every day.

Worried about her sister’s reputation, Mary and Kristof arranged for her to marry John Bradstreet, a friend of Anne’s who she had drifted away from over the years, and had never been seen publicly. Anne wrote to the eldest sister of the Von Trapes, Margareta that: “If I am to marry John, then it is because Mary and Kristof wish for it to be so. I would much rather be the bride of a dead man than of a living one.” The couple married in early February of 1748.

Anne and John had a distant marriage and only had three children, Howard (b, 1752), Eloise (b. 1753) and James (b. 1756). Of all of her children, Anne doted on Howard, believing him to be the reincarnated spirit of her dead lover, which horrified her husband and the rest of her family. She often slept in her bed with Howard by her side and often never let him out of her sight, but the same overprotectiveness was not granted to her other two children, whom she treated harshly and cruelly. Eloise wrote in her own diaries later that: “It seemed as though my mother harboured some amount of grudge against us for reasons we were certainly never told.”

Anne died in her sleep on July 9th, 1774, one day after her beloved son Howard had gotten married, to a bride that she did not approve of. It was reported that she died from a broken heart.

like re last post i see it happen with jhw too actually but ESPECIALLY ysa. i think on a lot of levels orv fans suck about ysa including people who really like her but reduce her down to. nice girl whos a bit bitter about it. you knwo!? theres so much more to her than just that. shes a major character for a reason.
