ALSO for your angst dpxdc consideration: danny would absolutely still be considered a meta. the term "meta" is used in a very vague, umbrella way where basically anyone who isn't a normal human is a meta. so even without the proper meta gene, danny would still be considered a meta by basically everyone (especially bruce). canonically speaking, danny isn't just a normal booooo kinda ghost - he also has some insane powers (like his ghost wail!) so he'd be considered a person with superpowers and therefore a meta.

your head rests on his shoulders.

“let’s get you to bed, love.” jay whispers. you whined.

“but if i go to bed...how will i see your pretty face? i haven’t seen it since 2 months ago.”

you whined once again. jay pecks your forehead.

the next morning, you stirred in your sleep. you felt a grip tighten around your waist and so it caused you to wake up. you turned to the figure. you reached out to push back the fallen hair pieces away from his face (his god-like face).

your eyes trailed down to meet with his cute pouty lips. it looked irresistible and you wanted to possibly wake him up with a kiss.

but is it too much? you just woke up and was previously drunk on wine. would your breath stink? would your dear god-like boyfriend care? oh my god, what if he-

it left the room dead silent. jake slams his head back onto the pillows and fell fast asleep. both you and jay turned to each other.

“want breakfast?” you asked.

now that he’s no longer bound to 1 role for the entirety of his life… he’d explore. and the different genres of music represents the newfound freedom he experiences, how he’s no longer bound to one responsibility for the rest of his life

but i think eventually, he’d become infatuated with romantic songs, like you said. it not only represents how he’s finally finding himself as himself (and not being controlled by others) but also.
