In the daytime Pearl E. Moon is a caretaker at the beloved family theme park, Scarland. At night she dons her mask and her hard hat and becomes Hermit City’s very own superhero, THE CLEANING LADY. But trouble is brewing in the seedy underbelly of Hermit City, the likes of which THE CLEANING LADY has never seen before. Old foes return, but this time it is neither THE CLEANING LADY nor Hermit City in their scopes, but rather each other. The mad GOAT seeks revenge on HOTGUY and his partner-in-crime, POULTRY MAN. The stakes are raised when the GOAT calls on his old ally, THE RED KING, and the dastardly duo of POULTRY MAN and HOTGUY form an alliance with the equally eccentric and explosive TATMAN.
There is only one thing standing between Hermit City and the impending war of the villains: THE CLEANING LADY!
Based on the idea of this post!

I was inspired and talking to @startistdoodles (because she is the Kirby master at this point XD) and decided that Widdle needed a companion
Like the Bandana Dee to Kirby
So, introducing Iri! The Astral born from chaos!
Iri, based off "iridescent", was born from Void during the time of Marx's defeat, when his wish from NOVA caused chaos throughout the cosmos. Iri was meant to be jettisoned off immediately, but due to Void's chaotic turmoil and fluctuating temperament, he didn't leave Void's orbit until much later, landing on Permafrost. Widdle Dee found Iri in the nick of time before he froze, taking the young Astral into their care.
Iri is a kind hearted soul who ends up creating his own chaos, running around and making messes by accident. But he does his best to correct his mistakes, even if he does throw a temper tantrum about it ^w^
On another note, what would y'all say to an Iri and Widdle ask blog, like Star has with Prisma? Would you guys want that? Lemme know in the comments!

Having of those moments where I wish to yeet the like button into the sun or maybe make it so there was setting you could turn on so that people can only reblog posts (even better with the minimum requirement of adding at least one tag)!!
It's kind of absurd that one of my fics is getting close to 500 notes while simultaneously being one I've had the least actual human interactions come from. Like...... come on, that's now how it should be AT ALL!
Don't get me wrong, I'm so thrilled people are clearly finding it and I guess enjoying it(??) but just having endless likes without people letting me know what they enjoyed about it or even if they liked it kind of makes me sad. That's not why I want to share my writing here!
I love having those little human connections with others. I don't ever want my writing to feel transactional. I would love to talk to more people about things I've written. It's truly one of the best feelings and I would hate to lose that, the more I write or the more notes my fics get. Please don't be shy!! I get the social anxiety, but there is no reason to be. I am truly just a Din Djarin obsessed loser.
Anyway, whine over. I don't want to focus on the negatives here and I appreciate every single person who has ever left a positive interaction with something I've written. You are truly a light!

Off now.
Today was EXHAUSTING.
I had work--AFTER nursery at church...but at least both were fairly easy today.
And, as you guys could see, I was finally able to finish an art project I've been working on and off on for a good while now--I'm actually pretty proud of myself for that!
Almost makes up for the fact that the burrito I ordered for dinner never came >:(
Welp, I'll see you guys when I see you.

So, this is weirdly specific, but does anybody have any recommendations for anime/manga/books/video games etc. which feature characters who struggle with moral perfectionism/scrupulosity? Bonus points if they mask their self-hatred with silliness afsfsgsgs but it's not a requirement.

I think I've rambled about this before but I can't find it (because of course I can't, it's tumblr)
Sometimes you see people talking about how things like quilting and embroidery, things called crafts, are considered either a lesser or alternate form of art, if they're called art at all. I think I've seen people call this a form of misogyny, because it always seems to be the arts done by women in a household.
And that could definitely be a part of it, but it also just goes to linguistics itself.
The word for art in Old English is cræftas. So craft IS art.
In 1066, William the Conqueror rode up into England from Normandy, which spoke an old form of French.
When you get two cultures now forced together like that, language evolves. Speakers begin taking the Germanic roots of Old English and the Romantic roots of French to create a new (more terrible and obnoxious) form of English - Middle English.
Now, the upper class consists of the conquerors who speak more French and locals who learn it to fit in and keep their power. That form of French becomes the language of the elite. Those that can't afford the time or money to learn it stick with the more Germanic roots of Old English.
But they share ideas, and suddenly you have two ways to say the same thing: sheep and mouton, cow and bœuf, pig and porc. Not just food, either: a cordial reception and a hearty welcome.
arts and cræftas
It's not only that 'crafts' are a thing done predominantly by women, it's that quilt-making and weaving are things done by the working class, the people who would call it cræftas. Meanwhile, sculpture and painting are things done by those who can afford the time or money to do so, the ones who would call them arts.
Anyway, etymology is cool, linguistics is cool, language affects us more than we realize, that's all
