Okay so the way I imagine Mon being in a relationship separates into two Mons like season 1-2 Mon and season 3 Mon are two different people. I imagine Mon season 1-2 being like sweet and shy at first and nervous to ask you out. Season 3 Mon doesn’t give a fuckkkkkk he’s probably like one of those guys who doesn’t believe in relationships bc someone broke his heart when he was like 15. He’s probably like no im not looking for anything serious *proceeds to become unhealthily obsessed with you*
Interesting thought, anon! thanks for sharing with me and I’m just so sorry taking forever to answer it! :(((( But yeah, I see where you’re coming from, personally I tend to see Món in relationships as a progression of his own personality and its changes + growing older. I think I’ve said this before, but to me he really went from boy to man in these three seasons, his development was really well written, I just wish we had had more material showing this growth in the romantic area, because we are all mostly going with our guts and personal speculation/headcanons here since the show didn’t give us anything concrete about that, and I’ll forever be sad/frustrated about it *sighs in spanish* But in Season 1-2 it seems to me he was in his late teens?? and Season 3 he was in his early 20s??, so I think I can see it as natural him being more shy, nervous or sweet with a girl (although more about this point below) where he was younger and still lacked experience, therefore he lacked confidence, and then becoming more confident and/or cocky as he had more experience which gives us Season 3 Ramón, this older Ramón attitude can hint he has had some success with the ladies of Tijuana (or he’s just really faking it until he makes it, who knows, that’s another possibility here lmao) and I feel it’s all def. connected to all of this I mentioned + his family’s power and how that gave him more responsabilities in their organization than before. His way of addressing that girl with his killer >>>mi amor ven pa’ ca corazón<<< 😍 imo def. implies a certain level of confidence, but then again we have to notice he wasn’t interested in that girl, he called her over for Alex, right, so goddd it would have been so interesting to see if he would have addressed a girl he seriously liked in the same way, I think it’s possible he would, but with a difference I think he would also be feeling nervous as well, but maybe while Season 1-2 Ramón wouldn’t be so good at hiding it and playing it cool, Season 3 Ramón might be better at that, so I can see him being all presumido, but really inside he’s dying lool. And that leads me to the sweet aspect, tbh I can’t help but see him being sweet with whatever girl he fell in love with it, no matter the season, I see it as a Arellano trademark that they are all sweet and doting with the women they love, so even though Season 3 Món might have given him this idgaf vibe (if  it came from a heartbreak or not), or a f*ckboy vibe, I do see it as, again, natural of his age and only until he meets a girl that really gets to him, his the one, then I think this behavior would kinda break down, because no matter how hard he tries to deny his feelings and act indifferent towards you (if he wanted to) the more he fails because every time he sees you, his heart is already skipping a beat, and all he wants to do is to please you and make you smile, and ofc make you his and only his !!!!! <3333 JDSJDSJDSJ I laughed here with the *proceeds to become unhealthily obsessed with you* lmaooo like I just imagined mi bb pretending to be all cool with you, because he doesn’t want to get his heart broken again :(((((( and like you said, saying that: yeah, no, I don’t believe in relationships, let’s just have fun *pasatiempo by daddy yankee plays in the background* BUT he’s also casually asking things about you to your friends or something, and it doesn’t take long before he’s already thinking and seeing you as his mujer, and he just starts to dislike the feeling of being away from you for too long, or he starts to feel more and more bothered by the sight of any guy approaching you. I can see it so well: his clenched jaw and his temper rising, until one day he, of course, goes off and tells the guy: que no te acerques a mi novia, cabrón, o te mato! and you’re just looking at him confused as hell like: wait...novia??? and that's like the moment everything changes between the two of you, and your relationship gets like official *para siempre by daddy yankee plays in the background* lool bye.

Tumblr media
Hello I finished my July playlist a week ago but when I went to post it tumblr was down, and then I just plumb forgot! Anyway, here it is - properly sequenced this time for a very special listening experience that seamlessly delivers you from disco heaven to black metal hell and everything in between. Also I’m thinking of making these playlists a tinyletter that people can subscribe to that comes out on an actual schedule, rather than me posting them at a random time weeks after they’re finished. Is that something you’d be interested in? Who knows. Check back next month! Anyway, here goes:
listen here
Stay Away From Me - The Sylvers: You know when you’re listening to a song and the sample is super hot but the rest is just ok, so you think to yourself well why don’t I just listen to the original instead? That’s what happened to me with Final Form by Sampa The Great. That song is good but it’s also kind of not doing enough to convince me not to just listen to this super hit by The Sylvers instead. A fun thing with this song is to try to count how many instruments you can hear because it is surprisingly densely arranged for some reason. There’s a xylophone back there going off if you listen.
Sizzlin’ Hot - Paradise: The same thing happened with this song and Sizzlin’ by Daphni. I think they were going for an Armand Van Helden style distillation of the pure essence of the song, sampling the hookiest part and speeding it up and thickening up all the percussion and all that, which can work amazingly but for me it just made me want to hear the original and so I have been all month. What’s so good about being alive now is that in most cases it’s just as easy to access music from 2019 as it is to access music from 1981 where an original copy is apparently going for $1000 on discogs. Every day I thank god for inventing mp3s and putting them on the ark.
Manaos (Canzone) - Fabio Frizzi and Crossbow: I forget how I came across this, I was going through random Fabio Frizzi soundtracks for some reason. I just love the concept of a disco song about escaping from vicious assailants. Funkily singing ‘God help us, if they catch us we all are gonna die.’ as spears fly past you.
Holding On - Julio Bashmore: I think this is one of my favourite pieces of sampling ever. The way the vocals in the background are cut they don’t even sound like vocals. They just a strange contextless textural sound that works so well before eventually revealing itself as vocals in the run before the drop. It’s just so good.
Weight Watchers - Parallel Dance Ensemble: First of all I love this disgusting bass sound. It sounds like two different indistinct bass lines playing at the same time and they both drowned. I’m also mounting a change.org petition to bring back this kind of extremely naff Tone Loc flow, it rocks.
Dance - ESG: I found this incredible band while I was looking for the rapper ESG and I’m so glad I did. Their song UFO is one of those songs that’s been sampled so many times you think of it as more of a sound effect than a song, like it comes preloaded on a drum machine everyone has or something, but it’s also a good template for ESG’s sound. Every ESG song I’ve heard so far goes like this: a straightforward beat that doesn’t change for the whole song, a functional bassline that doesn’t change for the whole song, and good old fashioned simple lyrics about dancing and having a good time that sound more like schoolyard clapping games than anything. It doesn’t sound like much but over the course of an album it adds up to this incredible sort of hypnotic post-punk funk that I cannot get enough of. It sounds like kids who have 1 idea making a whole album out of it because that’s exactly what it is and it’s great!
Crave You - Flight Facilities: I love how elementally simple this song is. The vocals are hypnotising enough so everything else just quietly supports it. The only part that stands out is the thick bass synth halfway through which makes the short sax solo at the and all the sweeter, a tiny little cherry on top.
You - Delta 5: Get a load of this band bio: “Initially inspired by the success of local heroes The Mekons and Gang Of Four, Leeds, England’s Delta 5 later emerged as one of the key figures of the feminist new wave. Formed in 1979 by vocalist/guitarist Julz Sale, fretless bassist Ros Allen and bassist Bethan Peters.” Just going to gloss over them having TWO bass players before they even have a drummer?? Absolutely amazing. I love this song because it’s such a specific, targeted fury. Imagine being the loser at your girlfriend’s gig when she launched into this one for the first time. ‘who’s got homebrew with lots of sediment?’ oh fuck that’s me ‘who took me to the Windham for a big night out?’ oh fuck that’s me ‘I found out about you’ oh FUCK
Siren - Gong Gong Gong: I love the way the bass works in this, just looping and layering different variations of this noisy, stationary riff on top of itself - steadfastly staying in the exact same place the whole song and growing in power the whole time as it sits in its stubbornness.
Changes - Antonio Williams and Kerry McCoy: This came up on my Discover Weekly and I completely fell in love with it, then I realised it’s Antwan and Kerry McCoy from Deafheaven which is extremely intriguing collaboration and fell in love even more. The vocals are so good. The pure broken-hearted anguish, and the super blunt delivery that progresses to straight up yelling by the end of it combined with the Radio Dept type instrumentation is just so powerful. This feels like it’s a song that could really be a life-changing piece of catharsis for everyone in a 5k radius done live.
Fuck A War - Geto Boys: Absolutely in love with the conceit of this song: rapping a whole song down the line to the army drafter. The incredible part being of course that Bushwick Bill would be able to dodge any draft easily, being as he was both a dwarf and blind in one eye.
God Make Me Funky - The Headhunters: I found a lot of great songs going through the samples list for We Can’t Be Stopped by Geto Boys and this is one of them. I have so much love for any song that takes its time like this: nearly two minutes to set the scene and somehow taking deadly seriously the very funny lyrical idea of desperately praying to god to PLEASE make you funky.  The way this song escalates is also amazing, moving from a hot groove that sits in place to a full-on saxophone meltdown that feels like god placing his finger on your forehead and saying ‘so you want to be funky, do you?’ in a scary voice.
Use Me - Bill Withers: Fortunately and unfortunately, because of how this song was in Anchorman and because I’ve seen Anchorman one million times I can’t listen to it without hearing the noise Ron Burgundy makes when he sees Veronica in the first few seconds. Anyway, this song is so horny. The part where he has to explain to his bro how good this shit is? Doing all kinds of weird dom shit like ‘getting him in a crowd of high class people and then acting real rude to him?’ Weird. And the escalation into the claps at BABY! is amazing, he’s just going off powered by horniness and god bless him for it.
America! I’m For The Birds - Nicolas Jaar: Unbelievably, the deluxe edition of Sirens is possibly superior to the original. It’s a whole new tracklist, new songs interspersed throughout rather than the usual ‘three new songs at the end’ and it really gives it a whole new feel. This song is my favourite of the new ones and it’s a song I had in my head for a solid week. A perfect song to sing to yourself because the lyrics are so indistinct that you just end up mumbling pleasantly exactly like he is.
Cable Guy - Tierra Whack: I’m finally catching up on Tierra Whack and everyone’s right: she rocks. The sheer restraint in these songs is amazing, they just get in and out with only the good parts and no bullshit. It reminds me a lot of To The Innocent by Thingy which is one of my favourite albums for the same reason - the economy of the songwriting just serves to amplify the feeling of it. They both have this total irreverence in the lyricism where the songs are kind of about nothing but they’re so short and heartfelt that you dig for the feeling underneath it.
No Drug Like Me - Carly Rae Jepsen: I’ve previously written that what I love the most about the Carly Rae Jepsen is how horny it is and I’d like to double down on that sentiment here. I love how slow this song is, it’s the perfect tempo between danceable and ‘fucking’.
Con Calma (Remix) - Daddy Yankee, Katy Perry and Snow: I’ve been on a european holiday for most of this month and I would like to report that across Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, France and Germany this is the absolute song of the summer. It is completely inescapable and personally I can’t get enough. Informer is one of the greatest and strangest one hit wonders of all time (it’s also canada’s highest selling reggae song of all time and Snow is thusly named because he’s white) and I’m psyched to hear it reworked by Daddy Yankee like this. Katy Perry being on the crossover attempt remix isn’t a good sign for her new album but she kills it so maybe that’s all that matters.
Chase The Devil - Max Romeo and The Upsetters: Here’s the other half of my short lived dub phase from the end of last month. This is a good example also of how completely beguiling lyrics can still be so effective. I have no idea what he means by putting on an iron shirt but it rhymes and he’s saying it with conviction so I’m nodding!
Glass - Bat For Lashes: The new Bat For Lashes songs have got me revisiting Two Suns which is an all time great five star album and this is my favourite song from it. Maybe the most powerful opening track of all time, it does as much worldbuilding as most fantasy novels do in 1000 pages. In fact almost every line in this is a viable fantasy novel title. A Thousand Crystal Towers. The Hand Of The Watchmen. A Knight In Crystal Armour. A Cape Of Rainbow. The way she sings ‘to be made of glass’ is.. incredible. I love Natasha Khan and I cannot wait to see what she does next.
Unsquare Dance - Paddy Milner: In searching spotify for other interpretations of Unsquare Dance after getting obsessed with it last month I came across this absolutely bonkers version. It’s maniacal, it feels like you would be physically and mentally drained by the end playing it because I am just listening to it. Need a little lie down.
Gimme Some Skin, My Friend - The Andrews Sisters: My girlfriend has turned me onto The Andrews Sisters lesser known hits recently and this is the best one: a song from when high fives were a novelty that those wacky blacks over in Harlem town were inventing. Extremely odd but an undeniable banger. The thing about The Andrews Sisters is one of them was an absolute force of nature as a performer and the other two were complete wet blankets and it’s kind of funny they were together as a group for their whole career because anyone with eyes can see where the real star is. The way she sings ‘baby’ at 1:25, and that whole run really, is absolutely amazing and so much better than this extremely dumb song deserves.
Kids On The Run - The Tallest Man On Earth: The piano sound alone in this is just so beautiful. This song could be about anything at all and it would still make me cry, and luckily for me: it basically is!
King Of Spain - The Tallest Man On Earth: Good song I had in my head the whole time I was in Spain. It’s incredible that his voice is so good. It feels like if it was even the tiniest bit different, slightly rougher or tinnier he would be completely hilariously unlistenable but instead he’s amazing. Plus the fact that he leans into it with the purposefully lo-fi trebly production is just so confident you can’t help but love it.
Romeo And Juliet - The Indigo Girls: A great cover I wasn’t aware of before that I heard in this great documentary Wildwood I was watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOWxnh012J0. The way she absolutely flies off the handle and nearly tears the song down around her near the last chorus is pure power and I love people who can do that in an acoustic song without it feeling overblown, just getting totally swept up in it and taking everyone along with you.
On The Bus Mall - The Decemberists: Definitely the number one song about gay teenage prostitutes who love each other and are optimistic against the odds.
White Fire - Angel Olsen: This song feels like a piece of dark magic. It feels like a 4am moment of clarity, speaking everything true in a five minute monotone and then instantly falling back to sleep with only a dim memory in the morning.
Glass Eyes -JW Ridley: JW Ridley is a genius and I cannot wait to see what he does with an album. Every song he puts out seems to be better than his last. The central melody in this is just beautiful, and the whole thing has so much space in it it feels so much longer than 3 minutes. It’s like a song you can live in.
Nullarbor - Floodlights: I love how rough this song is, and driving across australia because you’ve got nothing else going on and want to rattle your own cage is a Huge mood.
Made Too Pretty (Audiotree Live Version) - As Cities Burn: I’m so glad As Cities Burn are back, because it means they get to do good shit like this Audiotree session where they absolutely killed it.
Dirty Hearts - Dallas Crane: I think I’ve put this on a playlist before for exactly the same reason: it’s a song I wake up with in my head fairly often for some reason and it’s a very fun slice of pub rock that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome.
Ruin This Smile - The Number 12 Looks Like You: Did you know The Number 12 Looks Like You have reformed after 10 years away and haven’t missed a step at all?? I’m salivating. This song is as good as anything they’ve put out before, and feels like it fits somewhere between Mongrel and Worse Than Alone which is fantastic news for me who always loved those a lot more than their earlier more explicitly grindcore stuff.
Nutrient Painting - Yellow Eyes: A special thanks to my friend and yours Powerburial for linking this song on his twitter. There’s something about the guitars in this song, in almost every riff, where it sounds like they’re playing backwards somehow. Like the structure of the melodies is backwards. It doesn’t make sense but that’s what it sounds like to me and it’s very disconcerting.
Jejune Stars - Bright Eyes: I think this an underrated Conor Oberst era, when he became a sort of buddhist for a while and wasn’t sad anymore but just observed earth from outer space instead. I also love the instrumentation of this song, Bright Eyes and blast beats a match made in heaven. Also the strange sample about pom’granite at the end is one of my favourite things ever. A very strange album to retire the Bright Eyes name on but a very good one too.
At The Bar - Dirty Three: When I was overseas I was thinking about cultural music, and Australia’s place in the world and things like that. I ended up thinking about Dirty Three who I think along with The Drones make the most distinctly Australian sounding music to me. Just the vastness they manage to conjure from such straightforward barebones instrumentation is incredible.

November 24, 2019, the most magical day of my life. ❤
Okay! Hard part is over! 😛 I don’t really like being the center of attention and all. You might say it’s the same since everyone will still be looking at us the entire time. But, with the other half, the reception — people are more relaxed. Everyone will be dancing, talking to each other, singing and eating their hearts out! So, less judging and critical eyes on us. 😀
Our Reception was held at Aquila Crystal Palace. It’s about 30 – 40 minutes from our Ceremony. We had time to relax and just talk to each other in the car on the way there. Mind you, we were still with our bride & groom assistants.
To give you a preview – here’s what it looked like. ❤
BUT BUT BUT! Before we get to that, let’s go back to the start. Shall we? While we were taking our post-nup pictorial, we prepared welcome snacks and drinks for our guests!
Our supplier for this Gabrielle’s Appetizer. We prepared 200 mini sandwiches (cucumber & kani, chicken salad, tuna salad, egg & bacon), 150 mini burgers (chicken and beef), 200 crostinis (gorgonzola bacon, goat cheese & fig ham, prosciutto & brie, smoked salmon) and 2 gallons of cucumber lemonade
I’m so happy to be hearing good feedback from our guests! Their favorites? the mini burgers! But before they can eat, they will pass by our Signages!
I’m proud to say that I designed all the layouts, with the help of my husband, of course. ❤ We decided to maintain the theme of our invitation – White Marble is such a classic and classy design. Aside from the welcome signage, I wanted to add a little extra! – An Infographic of our love story. ❤
While others are eating or taking a photo in our photobooth, we also prepared some games before everything starts!
I personally created a Word Search Game with Startbucks GC for their prizes! I devised a personalized puzzle with words that have roles or connected to our relationship. For instance – Management Trainee (we were both Management Trainees in a bank. This is how we met) 😀 Everything is so much more special when it is personalized. Do you agree?
Before they officially enter the reception area, I also insisted that I wanted a signage for their Seating Arrangement:
I’m definitely proud of this! I’m a huge, huge fan of F.R.I.E.N.D.S! I insisted to insert the friends theme in our seating arrangement! The heading is The One Where We got Married (just like how all their titles are worded). ❤ I also named our tables with all the memorable lines / quirks of the series such as Pivot, Big Fat Goalie, How you Doin and etc.
I also asked our host to ask our guests whether they know what theme our seating arrangement is. I prepared a FRIENDS themed prize also, which I bought online (a Friends Door Keychain).
The One thing that will welcome our guests upon entering the place is our Animated Monogram.
At first, I wanted a White Background with Gold font for our names. But our coordinator pointed out that I may not be seen if the background is also white. 😛 So, we decided to switch to Dark Green, still in line with our theme. ❤
Okay! So when we arrived at the scene, it’s time for our make-up retouch and time to fill our stomach with the incredible feast we chose for our guest. ❤ It was really delicious. While we were having our early dinner, there’s another game inside the reception: TRIVIA GAME where we gave out bags of chocolates for every correct answer. Some of the questions were: First movie together, Who said I love you first, Term of Enderament, Favorite Series Marathon food. (Some of the answers to the questions were posted in our Infographic) 😀 Clever. Huh?
Initally, we wanted the Fireworks at the end of the program. But we were also hesitant to schedule it after since it was Sunday and our guests might leave early.
Proven! Guests really do enjoy the fireworks! It also elevates your event! ❤ After the fireworks, guests were asked to return to their seats for the Grand Entrance. 😛
Our Bridal Squad were introduced in the tune of Dura by Daddy Yankee. while our Groom Squad danced to Boneless by Steve Aoki.
As you can see, our male squad is definitely more coordinated with Matt Stefanina dance moves. Hence, they won the challenge of who’s better. 😛
Followed by the entrance of our esteemed entourage, our Prenup / Save the Date Video was shown to all of our guests.
And our Grand Entrance in the tune of Good Life by One Republic, inspired by our Wedding Hashtag of #itsJANNAbeaJUDElife transalated as It’s gonna be a good life.
TIP: Please please be witty enough to think of your own wedding hashtags! One, it’s simply fun. Two, it will encourage your guests to use your hashtag. Three, you’ll have an easier time in collating pictures and videos related to your event if it’s clear that YOU are the only ones using it instead of #JudeandJannaforever or #JudeandJanna2019. Maximize the power of hashtag!
For our Grand Entrance, we decided to use our Indoor Fireworks (which is not shown in the photo) plus this heart shaped confetti free of charge from our Coordinator. ❤
Followed quickly by our entrance, we gave a bit of our opening remarks to our family, friends and loved ones who celebrated with us.
Our first ever dance as a married couple is in the tune of Say you won’t let go by James Arthur. 🙂  This is also the song I was singing to when he proposed. ❤ This song is really special. ❤ Again, there were Indoor Fireworks and confetti as well.
Wedding Traditions followed such as Cake Cutting and Wine Toasting!
Our 3 tier carrot cake is designed with pure white with gold highlights with huge floral appliques. It’s so good! I’m actually sad that we forgot that it was in our ref.
The wine that we toasted is free from our package with Aquila Crystal Palace. If I remember it correctly, it was not hard because I finished it instantly. ❤
My sister, one  of the Matrons of Honor started the speech followed by my Brother in law and finally, my Best friend ended the speeches by inviting everyone to offer a toast for our marriage. ❤
After the long speeches, it’s time for the most awaited time of our guests! Dinner time. ❤ The cousins of my groom, Seth and Yohan led the prayer.
While the guests were eating or in line to get their food, some of the music that we chose to be played are the following: The way you look tonight, Collide, The last time, if I ain’t got you, Everything, Perfect and Close to you among others.
Well, you know how this goes already. . .  . . before they can even line up to the buffet, they all have to take a picture with us. ❤ Here are some of them.
While eating, another batch of Speeches coming from our Principal Sponsors.
Principal Sponsor speeches! We had to choose one from each of our side. My God mother, sister of my father gave a speech while it was a Family friend from the Groom’s side. After the speeches, a couple of games again — which is the second best game! Minute to Win It – Wedding edition. ❤
So we filmed a one time, one shot games of: Segregate it, Pingpong Ball, Shoot the Ball etc. Each table have to guess who won whether it’s the Bride and the Groom! Everyone turned out to be competitive at this part. ❤
After an interactive game, it’s the Parent Dances!
We decided to dance simultaneously to the tune of You are so Beautiful by Joe Cocker. 😀 I was scaring my dad and reminding him of their speech! 😛 while I think my mother in law is having the best time dancing with his son. ❤
After a bit serious of dances, it’s fuckin time for another game! Another game? We can never miss out on Single’s Game! To get the suspicion out of their minds, our host called them like they are about to receive a prize.
Men are lined up in front – a music is played and whoever dances the right move first gets to seat down! The following music were played – Watch me whip, Soulja Boy, Teach me How to Dougie, Gangnam, Level Up, Stayin Alive, Thriller and Can’t Touch this.
Then whoever doesn’t dance, will remain in front and the ladies will start searching for the safety pin. The lady who doesn’t find a single pin, loses. ❤
The losers  of both games, or rather the last man and woman standing wins a Starbucks GC which they can use to go on their ‘date’ – a little matchmaker doesn’t lose its touch on weddings!
It’s my husband’s colleague and one of my closes high school friend! ❤ And after this fun game, our host now calls on both of our parent’s for the wise words.
It’s the Welcome to the Family speech! It’s such a cliche but really overwhelming. It warms your heart, right? I felt really happy to hear it goes both ways. ❤ I have no better way of saying this but it felt really good.
Before the night is over, we prepared some awards to be given to our guests.
Cool Tito Award (right picture) and Fab Tita Award where we award the Best Dressed one – we gave them Wine and a Tefal Pan. ❤ We also awarded Dressed to Kill (Upper Right) for the Best Dressed Millenial and we gave them a 6-pack beers and a Make Up Kit.  Lastly, we gave out a Grand Prize (Lower Right) for the best picture and handed them a powerbank.
Then we played our On Site Photo and our Save the Date Video. ❤
Look at our faces!! ❤ Our Photo Team is led by TJ of Timoteo Photo and our SDE was created by Mac by Stories by Supermac! Extremely in awe, hearts bursting with joy and overwhelmed with gratitude and love. ❤
Before our night ends, we said our Thank yous and invited them for a night full of dancing and drinking!
Look at our ceiling treatment filled with an all white embellishments and gold highlights and black draping to make our ceiling pop out! ❤
The night ends as mentioned, with drinking and dancing! ❤ ❤ ❤
Our last picture before our guests go back to Manila! First up, my colleagues!
My brother and his girlfriend before they fled out of the scene. 😛 Haha. Next? Our Wedding Buddies, one week apart and now, we’re all married. ❤
I always come in threes, Don’t I? And Of course, My Bestfriends since High School.
It always put a smile on my face when I see my friends from different groups come together like this. 🙂
And before this day ends, I need a picture with my husband. ❤
I love you so much, husband! ❤ ❤ It’s been five months and it’s still the Best Day of My Life. ❤
EVERYDAY: Our Wedding (Reception) November 24, 2019, the most magical day of my life. ❤ Okay! Hard part is over! 😛 I don't really like being the center of attention and all.

Grammy Nominations for Record of the year 2018
One of my favorite times of the year is upon us. That being the Grammy awards and this year being the 60th year. This year I’m very pleased with a lot of the nominations and would like to go over some of them later on in another blog. This one is going to specifically focus on the category Record of the Year. This year the 5 who have been nominated for this category are Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino (AKA Donald Glover) and Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber with their hit Despacito. Let’s talk about each of these tracks broken down.
1. JayZ (The Story of OJ)- so this song has a lot of potential and I’m really into this one a lot. Very good lyrics and the beat in the background is kind of leading towards that new age rap style. For JayZ I felt like his album 4:44 was a very different approach to what he usually does. He really got deep with his lyrics throughout the tracklist within 4:44. I also really enjoy the music video. I feel as though JayZ being JayZ he could definitely take this win and get the Grammy. Not necessarily my choice and in fact I think I’d rather see Kendrick or Gambino pull out the win. None the less if Jay does get it he does certainly deserve the victory because this track is a solid track.
2. Kendrick Lamar (Humble)- this was the first song off of Kendrick’s latest record DAMN. And was really appreciated by fans. I too really enjoyed this album and this song and couldn’t stop listening to it upon its initial release. I think off of damn Kendrick really had a different approach in the making of this album then he did to his previous release To Pimp a Butterfly. I would really like to see Kendrick get this Grammy because of how much I feel as though he was robbed when Taylor Swift won a couple years back over his album. To Pimp a Butterfly was so good and so different for it’s time of release that I was shocked when he didn’t take home that award. Same thing goes for Damn though it’s one of those albums that I really feel is going to age like wine in the next 10 years. Killer album. I’ve also witness HUMBLE being played live and there was so much good energy being flown in the crowd that day. Amazing show.
3. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Featuring Justin Bieber (Despacito) honestly the track that I’ve spent the least amount of time with. I know it was a huge hit for awhile and people absolutely raved to this song when they heard it. It’s not a bad song. It has nice flow to it and really has a feel good sound. I don’t really know the other two artists but Bieber’s last project Purpose really was a growing point in his career. The collaboration with Major Lazer and Skrillex I feel like has led him to this point and made for this great tune. I can see this one pulling the win just because of how popular it was for it’s time.
4. Childish Gambino (Redbone) this is my choice for who I want to snag the prize. Awaken My Love was such an amazing album. Such a throwback to a time where funk ruled the music scene in the 70’s. George Clinton would be proud as Donald created such a classic funk masterpiece to give life to that genre again. The track Redbone is such a feel good song that just makes you want to be in a club with a group of people drinking mixed drinks. Yet at the same time makes you want to stay home with your girl and have a chill night. This song is a bundle of emotions that makes me happy. There is a video on YouTube at the creative process of making this song and it’s so amazing to watch. There was so much work put into creating this incredible piece of art. Stay Woke.
5. Bruno Mars (24K Magic) this song is good. The thing about Bruno Mars is I had absolutely no idea the man only had 3 albums under his belt. It seems like he’s had so many hits over the years you would think he’s had double the number of albums at this point. Not to mention the great collab project that was Uptown Funk. An ode to the great funk days once again. I like 24K magic a lot and it’s a very hype track but honestly if I had to go with a song to be chosen for this catagory from Bruno I definitely would have picked That’s What I Like instead. Still none the less this song has a lot of potential to take home the win on award night.
So there it is. My thoughts on the 5 tracks that have been chosen for one of the bigger awards within the Grammys. I really think Jay, Bruno, or Kendrick will take the win but I really would like to see Gambino pull through with Awaken My Love. That album really through my for a loop when it first was realeased and I can’t express enough how amazing of an album it is. All of the other tracks are solid to though so it’s going to be a tough call this year. Can’t wait to see how everything unfolds in a couple of weeks!

CALM DOWN, IT'S THE MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS WITH OUR FAVORITE DIVAS, DIVOS & FRESH NEW ARTISTS!
By DJ FR8-O
Tumblr media
The world's most unpredictable awards show just threw us another curveball. Hosting this year's hottest night in music is comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco. Yeah, never heard of him either, but the outspoken Italian is ready to bring the laughs and the chutzpah back into the VMAs. Joining him will be all our favorite divas, divos and fresh new artists who've been dominating our playlists over the last 12 months. This year's ceremony is going to be a battle of the pop princesses with both Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift snatching 10 nominations each. Who will take home the most Moon Persons is yet to be seen, but here are my top picks.
BEST NEW ARTIST Ava Max Billie Eilish H.E.R. Lil Nas X Rosalía
Tumblr media
Lizzo It may seem like Lizzo just came out of nowhere and went straight to the front of the class, but she's been schooling her fans since she was 14 years old. In an industry that puts so much pressure on image and tries to hide flaws with photoshop and camera tricks, Lizzo celebrates her curves and literally puts it all out there. Her confidence is only overshadowed by her talent, with a stream of hits and sold-out shows over the past year.
BEST COLLABORATION BTS (featuring Halsey): "Boy with Luv" Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)" Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello: "Señorita" Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber: "I Don't Care" Taylor Swift (featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco): "Me!"
Tumblr media
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper: "Shallow" As if she wasn't jaw-droppingly gifted all on her own, no one has ever brought the on-screen chemistry as Gaga and Cooper did in the big-screen blockbuster A Star is Born. The heat was so intense that it raised suspicions of the two being more than just co-stars. While those rumors have since been squashed, I still get a few raised hairs every time I hear their duet from the diva's Oscar-winning film.
BEST POP 5 Seconds of Summer: "Easier" Cardi B and Bruno Mars: "Please Me" Billie Eilish: "Bad Guy" Ariana Grande: "Thank U, Next" Khalid: "Talk" Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down"
Tumblr media
Jonas Brothers: "Sucker" Everyone has their opinion of what makes a great pop song, or in this case a great pop video, but I'm sure you would agree that Nick soaking in a claw foot tub and Joe tied up in his underwear would be somewhere at the top of the list. Not only does this earworm bury deep into your brain with its throwback vibe and razor-sharp hook, but watching these guys all grown up and having more fun than ever makes this clip as timeless as the track. Did I mention the bathtub?
BEST HIP HOP 21 Savage (featuring J. Cole): "A Lot" Cardi B: "Money" DJ Khaled (featuring Nipsey Hussle and John Legend): "Higher" Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)" Travis Scott (featuring Drake): "Sicko Mode"
Tumblr media
2 Chainz (featuring Ariana Grande): "Rule the World" Is there nothing that Ari can't do? It's hard to tell who the actual guest artist is on this track, but are we really surprised? Even during her early days on "Bang Bang," she managed to hold her own with two powerhouse divas. Now it looks like she's the one bringing the noise.
BEST R&B Childish Gambino: "Feels Like Summer" H.E.R. (featuring Bryson Tiller): "Could've Been" Alicia Keys: "Raise a Man" Normani (featuring 6lack): "Waves" Anderson .Paak (featuring Smokey Robinson): "Make It Better"
Ella Mai: "Trip" After a 13 year absence from the show, the R&B category is back! Maybe it's because of the genre's resurgence into mainstream music; but whatever the reason, it's opening doors to a whole new pool of talent that may otherwise be overlooked, like this incredibly gifted and well-deserved artist.
BEST LATIN Anuel AA and Karol G: "Secreto" Benny Blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez and J Balvin: "I Can't Get Enough" Daddy Yankee (featuring Snow): "Con Calma" Maluma: "Mala Mía" Rosalía and J Balvin (featuring El Guincho): "Con Altura"
Tumblr media
Bad Bunny (featuring Drake): "Mia" Watching this video reminded me of growing up in Miami, and showing up at the impromptu house party that someone hosted while their parents were away. Of course, Drake never showed up to any of them, but of all the nominees, this one captures what everyday Latin life is really about, minus all the half-naked women.
BEST DANCE The Chainsmokers (featuring Bebe Rexha): "Call You Mine" Clean Bandit (featuring Demi Lovato): "Solo" DJ Snake (featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna and Cardi B): "Taki Taki" David Guetta, Bebe Rexha and J Balvin: "Say My Name" Marshmello and Bastille: "Happier"
Silk City and Dua Lipa: "Electricity" Music trends will come and go, but classic house will never go out of style. These guys took the essence of "Show Me Love" and "Finally" and weaved it into a track that's as fresh as it is nostalgic. Throw in Lipa's sultry vocals weaving a hypnotic melody and you've got yourself a dance anthem that no one can resist.
VIDEO FOR GOOD Jamie N Commons and Skylar Grey (featuring Gallant): "Runaway Train" Halsey: "Nightmare" The Killers: "Land of the Free" John Legend: "Preach" Lil Dicky: "Earth"
Tumblr media
Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down" It can't be a coincidence that this category debuted the same year as this track. In a time when LGBTQ lives are being attacked – physically and politically – on the daily, it's refreshing and inspiring to see an artist take a stand and put her influence where her mouth is. Not only is the track brilliantly written, but I haven't seen that many LGBTQ icons together since the Tony Awards.
BEST DIRECTION Billie Eilish: "Bad Guy" (Director: Dave Meyers) FKA Twigs: "Cellophane" (Director: Andrew Thomas Huang) Ariana Grande: "Thank U, Next" (Director: Hannah Lux Davis) Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)" (Director: Calmatic) LSD: "No New Friends" (Director: Dano Cerny)
Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down" (Director: Taylor Swift and Drew Kirsch) Okay, I know what you're thinking, "this queen must be a huge T-Swift fan, so he's voting for her in every category." Quite the contrary, actually. I've always been pretty lukewarm when it comes to the country-turned-pop singer, but any director that could wrangle that many divas in one video shoot and not end up on the nightly news deserves a trophy.
BEST VISUAL EFFECTS DJ Khaled (featuring SZA): "Just Us" (Visual Effects: GloriaFX, Sergii Mashevskyi and Anatolli Kuzmytskyi) Billie Eilish: "When the Party's Over" (Visual Effects: Ryan Ross and Andres Jaramillo) FKA Twigs: "Cellophane" (Visual Effects: Analog) Ariana Grande: "God Is a Woman" (Visual Effects: Fabrice Lagayette at Mathematic) LSD: "No New Friends" (Visual Effects: Ethan Chancer)
Taylor Swift (featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco): "Me!" (Visual Effects: Loris Paillier and Lucas Salton for BUF VFX) I'd hand over the award for this vid just for the visual of a smoldering Brendon Urie alone, but if you've seen the clip you know the allure is more than just his pretty face. Reminiscent of a modern Moulin Rouge, the screen oozes with splashes of color, action and special effects galore, from start to finish.
Tumblr media
BEST ART DIRECTION BTS (featuring Halsey): "Boy with Luv" (Art Directors: JinSil Park and BoNa Kim (MU:E) Ariana Grande: "7 Rings" (Art Director: John Richoux) Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)" (Art Director: Christian Zollenkopf for Prettybird) Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down" (Art Director: Brittany Porter) Kanye West and Lil Pump (featuring Adele Givens): "I Love It" (Art Director: Tino Schaedler)
Tumblr media
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello: "Señorita" (Art Director: Tatiana Van Sauter) In a world where videos are trying to be bigger, brighter and bolder than the last, it takes a good eye to keep things in the background simple and let the singers take the spotlight. Subtlety is an art in itself, especially when it's meant to help a love story unfold before your eyes. My only note is that we need to see more of Shawn in his Calvin Klein's next time.
BEST CHOREOGRAPHY FKA Twigs: "Cellophane" (Choreographer: Kelly Yvonne) LSD: "No New Friends" (Choreographer: Ryan Heffington) Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello: "Señorita" (Choreographer: Calvit Hodge) Rosalía and J Balvin (featuring El Guincho): "Con Altura" (Choreographer: Charm La'Donna) Solange: "Almeda" (Choreographers: Maya Taylor and Solange Knowles)
BTS (featuring Halsey): "Boy with Luv" (Choreographers: Son Sungdeuk and Quick Crew) K-pop isn't exactly on heavy rotation on my playlists, but I must give credit where credit is due. Sure, the competition shows some beautiful moves of their own, but this vid is all about color, dancing, and more dancing. Don't ask me what they're singing about, but I could tell they were having fun while singing it.
ARTIST OF THE YEAR Cardi B Billie Eilish Halsey Jonas Brothers Shawn Mendes
Tumblr media
Ariana Grande This may seem like I'm playing faves here, but if you take a look at all the work the other nominees have put out in the last year together, they still don't add up to the number of albums, singles, videos and collaborations Ari has checked off her to-do list. While it may not have been ground-breaking, and there's no doubt this award will actually go to Billie Eillish, no one can argue that this diva has put in more blood, sweat and tears this year than any other artist in the biz.
SONG OF THE YEAR Drake: "In My Feelings" Ariana Grande: "Thank U, Next" Jonas Brothers: "Sucker" Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper: "Shallow" Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)"
Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down" Yeah, I'm going there again because this is an anthem we all need to hear and remember; not just this year, but for many years to come until the tables are turned, the planets are realigned and the haters finally take their seats for good.
VIDEO OF THE YEAR 21 Savage (featuring J. Cole): "A Lot" Billie Eilish: "Bad Guy" Ariana Grande: "Thank U, Next" Jonas Brothers: "Sucker" Lil Nas X (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus): "Old Town Road (Remix)"
Taylor Swift: "You Need to Calm Down" The same goes for the video! While others might have tried to battle hate with hate, Swift chose instead to take the high road, celebrate our community, shine a spotlight on some of our favorite LGBTQ icons and hold an honest mirror up at those with narrow minds. One little music video won't change the world overnight, but if it can inspire a new generation to think differently than the one before them, then that's something to get excited about.
The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Prudential Center in Newark on August 26th at 8 p.m. ET.

AU: Justin wakes Y/n up so she could hear the remix.
Tumblr media
“This view is magnificent.” Somebody next to Y/n said. She was sitting on a rooftop watching a sun rise, admiring the unity of colours. “It really is. Just look at it. It looks like it should be in some museum, viewed by many and payed respect like it deserves.” Y/n said, never taking her eyes off of it.
The person next to her chuckled. “Big art fan huh?”
Y/n opened her mouth to protest that when she heard an annoying, buzzing sound in the distance. She looked down thinking it was her phone, but it wasn’t. She looked to her side to ask him if it was his, but she was alone.
When did he leave? She turned her head back to the sun rise, but it wasn’t there anymore. But the annoying sound was there, and it was getting only louder and louder.
There wasn’t a sun rise in her eye sight anymore because she was staring at the window. It was still dark outside and she wasn’t sure why she was up. She turned around, in order to proceed sleeping when she heard it again.
She turned around and looked at her nightstand. Yep, her phone was buzzing like crazy. She groaned and reached for it, only to see she had four missed calls, and twenty unread messages from her boyfriend.
Suddenly she panicked, she was no longer sleepy. She quickly opened the text and she almost threw her phone somewhere.
Babe I have exciting news. Babe Babe are sleeping? Babe wake up Hey my remix is out. Mamacita get up. Y/N, you better get that pretty ass out the bed and listen to it. It’s so lit, you’re going to love it. If you don’t replay in two seconds I’m calling you. Alright then, call is it. ANSWER MY GODDAMN PHONE CALL. Sorry didn’t mean to yell. But seriously, wake up. Girl. Baby Sweetheart Love of my life. People are freaking out over my remix while you’re sleeping. GET.THE.F.UP. Pick up your phone, my remix is more important than your beauty sleep, which you btw don’t need.
She couldn’t believe him, he knew what time it is here and that she was sleeping. Although, she does understand how important it is for him that she is one of the first people to hear his music and to react to it, but this, in her opinion, was unnecessary. She would react to it anyway. Was it at 5 a.m. or 10 a.m.
Her phone buzzed again.
WELL, WELL, WELL, LOOK WHO’S UP. DON’T LEAVE ME ON READ.
Justin, I swear to God, you are dead once I see you.
Just as she was about to write something more, her phone buzzed again to inform her that Justin was calling. She took a deep breath and answered the phone.
Before she even got the chance to bring the phone to her ear, she heard loud music in the background mixed with Justin yelling something.
“What?” Y/n asked when she finally placed her phone near her ear.
“I asked, did you listen to it?” Justin asked all hyped and excited.
And his excitement made her feel a little bit bad. She knows how much music he likes making new music, and all she wants to do is to be there for him and support him, even though it meant to get up at 5a.m. She should be honoured with how much her man care about her opinion, not complaining.
She sigh before she spoke. “No Justin I didn’t. I just woke up and read your texts. I didn’t have time yet, but I will.”
Her respond didn’t seem to decrease his happiness. In his happy, cute little voice, he said “Can you do it now?”
“Well I have to end the call if you want me to listen to it. I didn’t even buy it.” Y/n said with a little chuckle.
“No I wanna see your reaction.” Justin said happily.
“Alright, I will end the call, buy the remix and then facetime you, how about that?” Instead of an answer, Justin hung up.
She looked confusingly at her phone, but laughed at his adorableness. She quickly logged into the iTunes and downloaded the remix.
She paused the song and quickly facetimed Justin. He picked up immediately, and she noticed that he was now somewhere in a separated room, away from all that noise.
“You look hot.” Justin said smiling at her while she blushed.
“I look more like a lion with my hair everywhere, God, are those bags under my eyes? Damn Justin I really will kill you.”
“Love you too. Now press play. I want to know what you think of it.”
“Whatever.” Y/n mumbled under her breath and giggled, he didn’t hear her but he giggled too.
She pressed play. Her face immediately lighten up, she was already in love with the melody, even though she heard only seven second of it. Justin seemed to be pleased with her reaction because he smiled too.
“Come on over in my direction, so thankful for that, it's such a blessin', yeah” When Y/n heard Justin’s voice her heart started beating faster. She must admit his voice sounded better than ever. “Wow babe.” It was all she could say.
“You like it? Wait, that’s not even the best part.” Justin said with the biggest smile ever.
“Shh, I want to hear the lyrics.” Justin smiled while she was focusing on what he was singing about. Suddenly his angelic voice was replaced by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. And the she realised, it was in Spanish.
Her body started dancing to the rhythm, not understanding a word but still enjoying it. And the she almost choked on her own spit.
She pressed pause and looked at Justin in shock. “WHAT THE ACTUALL FUCK?” her eyes were wide open, looking at Justin in disbelief.
Justin was confused by her reaction, he didn’t know how to take it, and just when he was about to ask her, she cut him off. “SINCE A WHEN DO YOU SPEAK SPANISH? WAIT, BUT THE WAY YOU SAID DESPACITO THO. LIKE DES-PA-CITO. I THINK I’M HAVING AN ORGASM.” Y/n said.
Justin laughed so hard, he couldn’t believe her. “You’re so adorable babe, but you only heard one word in Spanish and you are already freaking out.” He giggled. “Cutie.”
Before Y/n pressed play again she mumbled “What are you doing to me with your music.” Justin smiled and so did she.
When the music started again, she couldn’t stop smiling and moving her body to the beat. “Damn papi.” She said and Justin only laughed harder.
She proceeded to listen to the song and too soon it was over. She pressed play once again. She felt like getting out of the bed and dancing like a lunatic, but she stopped herself.
When the song stopped again she felt the urge to press play again but Justin stopped her. “So what do you think?”
She didn’t expect that question, didn’t he already get it she was in love with it?
“It’s okay I guess.” Y/n said, with straight face, only to mess with Justin. Justin’s smile dropped as he mumbled “Aha”. Her heart sank a little bit, but she wasn’t sure since when was he so stupid.
“Dummy, I loved it. Didn’t you get that by my reaction? But I am still mad you woke me up tho.”
Justin’s face light up again with the biggest smile. “I am glad, your approval is the only thing that matters to me babe.”
Y/n smile grew even wider. “Now tell me, what we’re you saying in Spanish?”
Y/n wasn’t sure if she saw properly, but she was damn sure he blushed. “Don’t tell me it’s something explicit and very dirty.” She paused “It better not be our sex life boy.”
Justin shook his head and laughed. “Nothing too explicit, but maybe a little bit sexual yeah. But not our sex life no haahah”
Y/n only became more interested about it now. “Well then, tell me.”
Justin took a deep breath before he started “So basically it means something like this; Slow, I wanna breath in your neck slow, let me tell you things in your ear, to keep me on your mind when I’m not with you. Slow, I want to undress you with kisses, sign the walls of your labyrinth and make your whole body a manuscript. Step by step, soft and soft, we are getting closer little by little.”
When Justin finished, Y/n didn’t know how to react. This was a whole new side of Justin. Maybe not completely new but still. It wasn’t usual for him to put that side of him into music.
But she only found the song hotter now, since she knew what he was saying.
“Damn Justin, I need holy water and Jesus after hearing that. I feel like I sinned.” Y/n chuckled.
Justin laughed and shook his head. “You’re so adorable babe. Anyway, get some sleep now, I will see you soon.”
Y/n nod and said “I am proud of you. Love you.”
“Love you too baby.”

“Tonight I’m going to be sharing a lot of stories about Bristol & Steven with you. To get rolling, let’s tackle the first ‘I love you.’ So, early on in their dating, Steven had said he loved Bristol…she let it go & didn’t respond. About 2 months later, he drove up to the 56 to help her out because she had a flat tire. That’s when she realized she loved him too. About a week later, she wrote those 3 little words on Steven’s 31st birthday card. Ladies & gentlemen, are you ready to welcome our guests of honors?”
Grand Entrance ➔ Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson (cued to instrumental intro) ➔ “They met in spring of 2015 on PlentyOfFish.com. Together, they enjoy concerts & binge watching Netflix. Together, they have traveled to Colorado, Montana, Washington DC, & Virginia. For their honeymoon, they are planning a trip to Italy! Ladies & gentlemen, get on your feet to welcome–for the FIRST TIME EVER–Mr. and Mrs. M——!!!”
➔ First Dance ➔ I Knew I loved You by Savage Garden ➔ fade early: yes ➔ “On their 3 year anniversary, Bristol & Steven were at home eating their favorite Chinese food & drinking a good bottle of Tempernillo. He gave her a box of chocolates as a gift…awesome, right? And she popped it open & started eating them. But then suddenly he popped a ring box out, got down on one knee, & asked Bristol a very important question. I think we all know how she answered because we are about to welcome Mr. and Mrs. M to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.”
➔ Kiddush & Challah ➔ “Please take your seats, and we’ll ask the bride’s Uncle Alan to come up for the Kiddish.”

➔ Mother-Son Dance ➔ A Song for Momma by Boyz II Men ➔ fade early: yes ➔ “About his mother, Steven says, ‘She is always willing to go above and beyond for me–even if it means going to to top of Sear’s tower despite her deathly fear of heights.’ Let’s welcome Steven & his mother, Anita, to the dance floor to share a special dance.”
➔ Father-Daughter Dance ➔ Memories by Elvis Presley ➔ fade early: yes ➔ “One of Bristal’s favorite memories from childhood with her dad is driving in his Chevy convertible singing along to his Elvis cassettes in their blue and purple sunglasses from the swap meet. And now let’s welcome Bristol & her father, Hal, to the dance floor.”

Dance Music Rating ➔ R- or X-rated (uncensored songs containing swear words)
Priority During Dancing ➔ maximum dancing/use my expertise to read the crowd

➔ First Dance ➔ Nothing Can Change this Love – Sam Cooke ➔ fade early: yes…about 2:02 ➔ “On February 11, 2018, Mark & Brooke had reached the end of a hike. They were taking some photos over-looking the nearby waterfall. Mark turned to Brooke and said, ‘Can I ask you a serious question?’ Brooke rolled her eyes because Mark often said that exact phrase and what followed was never a serious question. She reluctantly replied, ‘What?’ Mark then got down on one knee & took a ring out of his pocket. ‘Will you marry me?,’ he said. She never did reply yes because she was too busy gasping, gawking, and tearing up as Mark slid the ring on her finger. And now we welcome Mr. and Mrs. Halby to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.”

At one point, she was raising 5 children under the age of 5. All of us survived and none of us are in jail. It’s incredible. She really was born to be a mother…and is damn good at one of the most important jobs in the world. My mom has the perfect combination of tenacity and vigor mixed with love, affection, and compassion.’ Let’s welcome Mark & his mother, Charlene H, to the dance floor to share a special dance.”

Growing up every Sunday, he would take my brother and I somewhere fun. It was generally the Wild Animal Park, the zoo, Sea World, or the movies. Growing up, I always looked forward to Sunday knowing I would be able to spend quality time with my Dad and eat extra junk food. My dad taught me: early to bed, early to rise…makes a man happy, wealth, and wise. Now let’s welcome Brooke & her father, Jack S, to the dance floor.”
