EMERGENCY CAT SURGERY | Pickle needs HELP!

I never thought it would be my turn to make one of these posts.

Sunday night, my 6 month old kitten, pickle, had a really bad fall down a hardwood staircase after getting startled, and upon impact with the first floor, his little femur took the entire force of the impact and it snapped clean in half. My heart dropped to my stomach when I heard him thump hard against the ground and he began to cry, we immediately dropped everything and rushed him to the emergency vet nearby.

Turns out, the injury was worst than we thought. He needs orthopedic surgery to fit his femur with a metal plate. This will help him recover faster with the best successful outcome for his quality of life, but this is going to cost a staggering $4,000 dollars. He hasn't even celebrated his 1st birthday yet, he's still just a baby and this terrible accident happened. Pickle is truly my best friend, he has been my little beacon of light through it all, he is the one who sits with me while I write long chapters for my novels, and I will do absolutely anything for him.

My heart is fucking shattered seeing my normally happy and high-energy baby have such a traumatic injury like this. I know this is hard on his mental health, too. Please, if you can, help us help pickle. If anyone is willing to donate to our GoFundMe to help us alleviate the burden of surgery costs while I'm literally still desperately job hunting, it would help me and my partner more than you can imagine. hello. normally i dont make posts like these but my living situation has gotten a bit desperate. im currently in debt with my bills and i once got my electricity and wifi router taken away and temporary went homeless for a bit.

I'm telling you all this-- please be careful when updating your Nintendo Switches.

it just occurred to me that, while updating, it automatically deleted most of my software data on games I haven't played in a while, and I subsequently lost my entire 100% RTDLDX save file (along with my TotK progress, Skyward Sword, Miitopia and a few others. Thankfully not BotW or ACNH but I'd rather avoid mentioning it to not bring bad luck upon myself.)

After researching on the internet for a while, I've found that this is not the first time someone's save data has been wiped out after updating. It's been an ongoing issue since 10.0.0 afaik, and Nintendo has done near NOTHING about it.

so, unless you have your save data backed up on Cloud storage (feature which doesn't even support a good portion of Switch games), by updating your console, entire game data files are at immediate risk of disappearing and never coming back.

Please help me and my partner move out

I really hoped that it would never come to this, but I'm in desperate need of help.

My partner and I are in a horrible living situation with my parents that has been psychologically damaging, and we need to leave as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I can't leave without paying $6000 to my parents for reasons that I can't get into here for fear of one of them finding this post. We're both working jobs but our pay is not enough to give them what they need while also trying to support the two of us.

Okay...so I discussed what's going on in this tweet.
