gossip girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of monaco's elite.
· · · · ·
this morning, when the gossip girl notification made your phone beep, your heart skipped a beat. that was it, gossip girl had won again. and, even though, you made have hinted it a few times on your instagram posts, it still was invasion of yours and max's privacy.
"what's wrong?". max asked the moment he saw the look on your face. without saying a word, you turned your phone around to show them. "shit. how is it possible? only people we knew were around".
"i don't know". you replied. "but the secret is out now".
"are you okay?".
"knowing somebody keeps following me around since i was a teenager? not really". you stated. "i don't mind everyone knowing about us, but i had other things in my mind like, i don't know, waiting until this f1 season is over so one day we could talk it about it calmly? fuck, max, don't you feel like you don't even have control on your life? it was our step to take and it's so frustrating to know we can't even do anything to stop this".
max left his phone on the desk and sat with you on the sofa. carefully, he put his finger on bellow your chin to make your eyes look into his. god, he looked so good. his hair was still messy from the make-out session you had shared earlier and he was wearing a linen white shirt that somehow made him seem ethereal.
"i am sorry-". you said and he shook his head.
"it's not your fault or mine". he interrupted you.
"i know". you replied. "but it's race day and you have other things to focus on other than this".
"look, i like that you're telling me this instead of keeping it to yourself and i hate this as much as you do". he said. "i know you're frustrated, but there's nothing we can do about it, right?".
"yeah".
"do you want to know the good news?". he asked and you nodded. "i'll finally get to kiss you when i win the race".
"you're stupid".

everyone in the red bull garage cheered loudly as max crossed the finish line. it had been an incredible year for them, winning almost every single race this season. throughout the whole race you could not help but focus on the red team you used to support before. charles had tried everything to get ferrari to secure the second place in the constructors' championship, but it seemed like he was the only person in the team who was working for it.
"charles must be feeling like shit". jolie said as she removed the headphones.
"yeah". you agreed. "i feel sorry for him".
· · · · ·
charles' team members congratulated him, shaking his hand and giving him pats on his back. he half-smiled back at them, trying to hide the sadness he felt for not achieving the goal he had set his mind to. he had spotted you in the crowd, next to the red bull team members, and he decided to approach you.
you were standing there, looking as pretty as ever, under the moonlight of abu dhabi. he knew you were there waiting for max, as you were many times before for him. your eyes lit up when you saw his face and smiled back at him. shit, he didn't even notice he had been smiling as he stared at you. you opened your arms and he hugged you tightly.
"don't be too hard on yourself, okay?". you said and he nodded. "you did everything you could".
"thank you, y/n". he replied, wishing he could stay in your arms forever.
"i am proud of you. always".
"i know i have said it a million times before, but i couldn't have gotten this far without you". he said. "i love you".
those three words, that once you were used to hearing, now seemed to carry more weight than they did before. all these years were not able to erase the feelings you had felt when you were in love with him and your heart felt so full knowing that he felt the same. you loved him. he had been the person who had been by your side the toughest days of your life, the one who had always supported you on every step you took and who always put your happiness before his.
"i love you too".
when he pulled away, his green eyes starred into yours, trying to hide the effect those words had on him. you gave him an honest smile and he knew it was time for him to walk away. he could not take it, he could not see you celebrate with someone else. he wanted that for himself. he wanted to kiss you, he wanted to hold your hand as he walked back to his car, he wanted to be the one to drive you back to the hotel, to hold you in his arms as the elevator reached your floor and, god, the things he would do when nobody was watching.
you turned around as you heard max's voice. he had made sure to greet his team members before approaching you. you looked teary-eyed, proudly smiling as you starred at him. he had figured out charles had something to do with it as he had seen you talking to him seconds before.
"congratulations max". you said.
he caressed your cheek before leaning in and kissing you softly. your hands grabbed his face, feeling his stubble on your fingers, and pulled him closer. you could tell max was feeling emotional too, his hands that were on your hips grabbed tightly the fabric of your summer dress and his breath was heavy. he pulled away as everyone around cheered.
"i'll see you later, okay?". he said and you nodded.
and that was when you realized. max had never said i love you to you. was it too soon? did he feel this way? did you? why was it so easy to say them to charles, but so hard to say to max?

Rachel Daly x Reader
Part Six: Dashed Hopes
AN: I know it’s been forever since I added to this series, tbh I thought part 5 would be the end but I kept writing for it and it’s been sitting in my drafts for ages. There’s another part after this but I just gotta figure out how to end it so idk when that will be coming (do we want them to get back together?), just wanted to get something out so I didn’t feel like I’d completely abandoned writing.
In America, off season starts a lot later than in Europe meaning all your friends from back home go off on holiday while you’re still playing competitive football. By the time it was your off season, your friends would be back to work and trying to squeeze in a vacation with them was pretty impossible. You loved visiting your parents and extended family but sometimes you wish you played in the WSL with them so you could have more time together other than international breaks. You weren’t even sure if you’d get called up again but knowing England are competing in America this break gave you a better shot seeing as you’re already here.
Since returning home to The Dash, Rachel had been hard at work trying to win you over again - staying up until the early hours in the morning to be able to call you, often paired with FaceTime. You rarely gave her the same luxury, you didn’t stay up at all hours of the night so you could speak to her and everything was on your terms; every Monday she asks when you’re available and makes sure she calls you in the allotted time frame you give her. It was obvious that she was doing everything within her power to get back with you, whether that meant long distance or you eventually going back home to England.
You looked forward to seeing your national teammates in a few weeks time when England compete in the She Believe’s Cup, it meant that for once, you wouldn’t be doing the 8 hour flight to base camp and they’d all be coming to you! Rachel had been talking about the camp nonstop and didn’t hide her excitement of being able to see you again. She was happy to take what she could get, be that as a friend or even if it just meant acquaintances, at least your were speaking again and that was enough for her. You couldn’t lie that you didn’t look forward to her evening phone calls and the attention she gave you made you feel good but you weren’t allowing her to consume your every thought like before. Propping the phone up on the kitchen counter as you cooked dinner her voice floated through the speaker from another continent, “I saw you got the call up!” she beamed, knowing your fears of Sarina forgetting you existed, “I told you after your World Cup performance, nobody could forget you!” You smiled into your saucepan of steaming pasta, pleased for yourself before sitting on the sofa to eat and stream Love Island. In America the series was being aired 2 weeks behind England and Rachel had avoided all spoilers to watch it with you, she’d often fall asleep half way through and you’d be lying if you didn’t think she looked adorable. Still, you were determined not to get sucked into the facade she played and as soon as her eyes closed you hit the red button. You hadn’t forgotten what she had done the year previous but your feelings towards her had certainly softened.
Reaching the last few games of the season you were mostly packed and ready to fly to South Carolina for the tournament next month. Tying up your boots and trotting out for warm ups ready for your game against the Red Stars you noticed louder than usual cheering when shooting practice began. “Is today something special?” you asked Ebony as you lined up to take shots at goal, she didn’t say anything but subtly nodded upwards towards the East Stand. Looking towards the source of the noise you spotted a familiar face you’d been getting used to seeing through a 6inch screen. ‘What the fuck is she doing here?’ you thought, rolling your eyes at the sight of her hyping up the crowd from her seat. Standing in the middle of the pitch in your bright orange jersey with your hands placed on your hips and an unamused pout, you waited for her to notice you and when she did you pulled a gesture that can only be explained as “what the actual fuck?!” Rushing down the stairs in excitement you’d be cancelled in a second if anyone knew you hoped she’d trip and roll down to the bottom, chuckling to yourself at the thought. “If you wouldn’t come to me, I had to come to you didn’t I!” she shouted, her grin expanding as she neared closer to you. ‘That’s rich’, you thought! “Or an even better idea would have been to not leave in the first place” you said sarcastically, one of your eyebrows raising to display an unamused look that your ex knows all too well. “Hey, be nice. I thought you’d be pleased to see me!” she jeered, acting like she thought her appearance would be like something out of a rom-com. “Shocked more like! You’re wearing my shirt” you said, arms still folded as you spotted your number under the club badge. “Yeah! Bought it at the gift shop, they’re flying off the shelves!” bouncing around to do your signature celebration by pointing at your name on her back, you couldn’t remember the last time you’ve seen her with so much energy! Shaking your head in amusement it was time to go and get changed and as you jogged away she shouted out to you “good luck captain!” smiling and waving like a fan girl which was seriously giving you the ick. You turned and stared at her smugly while walking backwards towards the tunnel, “have you seen the league table lately? Don’t need your luck mate, we got this!” Running back up the stairs to her seat she placed herself next to your parents who had agreed to also be bought along for the journey. With everything going on you hadn’t spotted them - it was either that or the fact they were hiding behind their programs!
If you had known your parents were in the crowd you would have celebrated your goal with them but instead you celebrated with the opposite stand, desperate not to give Rachel any more airtime than she probably already had. You tried not to pay any attention to where your ex was sitting the entire game but according to other players (particularly ones that were unfamiliar with what happened between you) she was your biggest cheerleader, barely in her seat the entire game, shouting and cheering at every possibility. You pretended after the match that you hadn’t heard her but her strong northern accent boomed around the stadium; however distracting, you can’t deny that having someone from home in the stands pushed you on.
Shaking hands and making your way around the field to thank both teams you finally looked up to see not only the blonde but... “Mum? Dad?” you screamed, shielding the sun out of your eyes long enough to see it was undeniably your parents. Launching yourself over the barrier faster than Usain Bolt you sprinted up the steps towards the back of the stands as your dad came bounding down towards you, scooping you into one of his giant bear hugs as you met in the middle. Your mum quickly wrapped her arms around you both to stop your dad from falling over from the shear force you threw yourself at him. Rachel watched everything unfold from afar, a tear rolling down her cheek knowing bringing them along had made you so happy. Surely you’d have to forgive her now, right?!
Rachel stayed until the end of the season, spending time getting to know each other again like it was the beginning. She came to every single one of your games and this time, it was her wearing your name on her back. For so many years it was the other way around when you didn’t play on the same team; you’d go to watch her but Rachel being in a higher league barely had time to show up to your games. Your walls may have been broken down easily but the team certainly hadn’t forgotten what she did to you and how they had to rebuild you after she left. It was extremely messy, it wasn’t a secret that you two were dating and the fans very quickly realised the 6 year relationship was over when Rach abruptly announced her departure from The Dash. Conspiracies and rumours flew around the internet for months trying to guess what had happened and who was the victim - Rach being the bigger name tended to get the most sympathy. You know you shouldn’t have read the comments online but you couldn’t help yourself and it nearly drowned you, if it wasn’t for your teammates you never would have made it out the other side. Now club captain, you had made your own name for yourself, no longer riding off the back of Rachel’s multi continental fame. You are (y/f/n) - striker, captain and leader. You are so much more than Rachel Daly’s ex girlfriend.
Since her return, the rumours had started spiralling again – ‘had they broken up?’, ‘are they back together?’, ‘is Rachel trying to take her back to England?’ – it was relentless! On the last game of the season, Rachel was invited to make a speech at half time, stating how proud of the team she was and how Houston still feels like home to her. She donned a specially made jersey and given a commemorative photo album to take home with her. You couldn’t stand it and waited in the changing room until she’d dispersed back to the stand. She did do a lot for the team when she was here but it’s your turn now, you’re sick of still being in her shadow even when she doesn’t play here anymore! The back stabby feeling stuck around for a while, bitter that the fans and club still loved her, she even handed out the medals for winning the league! Having to stand there and shake her hand, accepting the trophy from her to take to the rest of the team made you want to drop it onto her foot but you saved face and smiled politely when inside you were dying. Just when you think she’s doing everything right lately, she does everything wrong… again!
Celebrating in the changing room you’d had a little too much to drink when she burst in, keen to join in the party. ‘Oh no fucking way’ you muttered under your breath, slamming your bottle down on the table a little to hard and pushing her right back out of the door she’d just entered from. “This isn’t your party, why are you here?” you slurred, becoming a little braver with your words now your body was filled with alcohol. “I just thought-” she started before you cut her off, “no, you didn’t think! This is my first win as captain and you’re here to take over!” your voice becoming louder and louder, earning you a few stares from passing staff. Even after everything that happened, you couldn’t believe that the club had asked her to be such a huge part of todays celebrations, everyone knows what she did and half of them helped her do it. They watched you for months trying to become yourself again after the worst heartbreak you had ever endured and still thought making it all about her was a good idea! “Just leave, I want to celebrate with my friends” you ended your rant, exhausted with still having to fight with her. “Okay” she nodded solemnly, “have a good night” her head bowed as her feet swivelled and she walked off. “Right!” bursting back into the changing room, “let’s get this party started!!!”

Your Starfire Cosplay is coming out so unbelievably good. Like how are you not working in like costumes for movie sets? It’s award worthy! So stunning! And the amount of work that must go into making everything! Wow!
I was wondering if you could give us more thoughts on the whole sibling dynamic between Kory and her siblings because I find that so fascinating! Like on one side you have Kory and everything that can be explored there but you also have Kom who is disabled and her narrative there and then you have Ryand’r who isn’t really explored as much.
what I find interesting about the dynamic of this family is that Ryand'r was so obviously tacked on at the end in an after thought which is like such a real youngest child in a busy/important/high profile family thing lmao
before we jump into it I want to make a few disclaimers:
I am not a mental health professional of any kind, I just have some surface level research behind me on like sibling and parent dynamics
I am not going to be excusing or endorsing some of Komand'r's more violent actions in her adulthood but also please remember that Kom is like a fictional character in a silly comic book
I will be talking both about the in-universe narrative that developed over time and the way it developed out of order in real time
okay let's get into it
their family dynamic honestly isn't super complicated but it is really interesting. the narrative sets Kory and Kom up as the scapegoat vs. the golden child (which is funny bc Kory is...the golden girl. goldie. etc.), Kom is also the black sheep of the family for obvious reasons, and Ryand'r is just lost in the shuffle which, as far as I understand, is pretty common for the third child in this kind of family dynamic.
Kom was set up for failure. a pretty important city, the city of Kysarr, was destroyed by the Citadel. the only source I can find on this is from Who's Who volume 2 (which is misattributed on her wiki as v. 1 #13, when it's v. 2 #13, but I'm banned from editing the wiki so whatever they'll just have to live with the mistake):
[image text: Komand'r was the eldest child of Tamaran's royal family, and the first princess born in almost a century. As such she should have been courted and showered with honors, but Komand'r was instead reviled. On the day of her birth, the dreaded Citadel Empire attacked and destroyed the western Tamaranean city of Kysarr and Killed three thousand citizens in her name. Due to no fault of her own, Komand'r was for all time inextricably linked with Tamaran's day of infamy.]
now, this destruction of Kysarr is not included in her or Kory's backgrounds in any comic, so this is something that's thrown into the continuity in 1991 and never spoken of again because it's in a total throw away comic. BUT that's exactly what makes it so interesting. so, let's go into this with the retcon context that Kom's day of birth was marked with destruction and this, alongside her disability, made her parents consider setting her aside as heir and having another kid (who would have previously been the spare, if Kom hadn't been "sickly" when she was born, as Kory says in The Tales of the New Teen Titans #4).
(as an aside: this profile on Kom also says that Myand'r is like a puppet ruler, which is not quite accurate, so we might also take this added Komand'r seasoning with a pinch of salt)
so, with this added context, we could see maybe why Kom would hold so much resentment toward her younger sister. Kory, being the golden child, is both aware of her parents treatment toward her disabled older sister and misunderstands it.
[The Tales of the New Teen Titans #4]
so, Kory says that "even when [they] were children the differences between [them] were so very apparent" but neglects to say why those differences may have been so apparent. she also says that "those were such happy days for [her]" and that there's one thing she could do that Kom couldn't, which is: fly. Kom can't fly. she has never been able to fly. in the page above, you can see Kory flying with her mother while her father watches and just below that, we can infer that the contrail in the distance behind Kom is either Kory or their mother, Luand'r.
can you see, maybe, why Kom would hate Kory? it's not Kory's fault. their parents literally pit them against each other because they're not good parents. it's clear from this alone that Myand'r and Luand'r are neglectful parents and even if they aren't neglecting Komand'r on purpose they are neglecting her in favor of Kory. so, Kom starts to escalate her abuse toward Kory in a bid for their attention and to ensure that Kory is as miserable as possible. Kom is forcing Kory to atone for the sins of the father (and mother) because in her child mind, Kory is the source of all her problems and if she can eliminate her or, at the very least, make her miserable, Kom can again gain the approval and love of their parents. it's unclear if she ever had this to begin with but she wants it so bad.
and, in turn, Kory wants her sister's love more than anything when they're children. it doesn't matter that Komand'r is abusive and will do whatever she can to make Kory's life hell, Kory wants her sister to be a sister to her. (any of you that have siblings know that sibling relationships are very rarely nice growing up, though, so Kory is striving for something that might not even be possible if Kom was like loved and cherished by their parents)
Raven quite literally asks Kory if their parents favored her over Kom and she kind of hand waves it away with a "well not in the beginning" which is like. such a golden child thing to say. they didn't care for her before she betrayed Tamaran, which is pretty clear from Kory's whole narrative up to this point, and what's the core of the why of the matter? Kom couldn't be their perfect paragon of a Tamaranean princess and she couldn't complete the image of a perfect Tamaranean royal family. which is very obvious if you read all her appearances and then read the second Tamaran arc where Myand'r uses Kory as a bargaining chip. if Komand'r had not been disabled, she would have been that very same bargaining chip, but because she's disabled she is then pushed away, punished for her disability, made into the scapegoat for an entire planet, and eventually begins to buy into that and becomes like a really bad fucking person, right?
it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
and then Ryand'r is just like. there.
literally, he's just there. we get this one glimpse of him (which is a hard maybe because this kid is never named) in New Teen Titans v1. #3 and then we don't see him again until 1982 when he is a literal infant:
that's a baby.
we meet full grown Ryand'r in New Teen Titans Annual #1 (love annuals) where it's revealed that he's alive! which is funny because I think most people forgot he even existed considering the last time they saw him he was like. an infant.
he does it in the funniest way possible and just pops out of the jungle after Kory curbstomped their sister. like. okay. you didn't want to, like, help your older sister who you most definitely don't remember because you had not gained sentience yet as you were busy being under a year old when she left the planet to train. I guess I wouldn't get involved either idk.
so, Kory, for some reason, believed Kom when she said Ryand'r KILLED THEIR PARENTS and then is like oh damn you're alive and you didn't kill them? that's cool I guess.
so, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that no one in this family has a real relationship with Ryand'r because Kory 1. believes this absolute lie their very obvious liar of an older sister made up and 2. is also surprised to not only see him alive but to see him as an adult and that just doesn't scream "I care about my younger brother and think about him when we are not together".
(also, ryan's age doesn't quite add up, considering Kory and Kom are the right ages but he's like...an adult...and not a preteen. like. sure. and no do not go "but time passes differently on tamaran" because in-universe it most certainly does not pass any differently because Marv Wolfman, like me, does not care to calculate time differences between planets)
so between Kory being surprised that he's alive and Kom making up whatever she wants about him I think that we could say that there's no real relationship between the siblings. like I said earlier, Ryand'r is just lost in the shuffle and like at the first sight of trouble he peaces out and leaves the planet. he's done this like as much as Kory has peaced out from Earth when she needs a break. this has, I think, impeded his ability to like truly form a relationship with Tamaran and his people because he's just neglected by everyone. there isn't a lot of info on his childhood and from the way we see his parents deal with his sisters, we might be able to come to the conclusion that he was also pretty much left to his own devices.
which is sad but nothing egregious happened to him in childhood. when he was older, he was also experimented on by the Psions and gained like the ability to burn people and things with his hands in a different way than Kom and Kory can (starbolts vs. thermal emissions) and that's like hugely traumatic and kind of binds him to his siblings in that way. is that every explored, though? no, it's not.
in Ryand'r's appearances that take place in the 90s and early 2000s (which is the last time he appears for a really long time), every time he appears it's to call Kory for help. one of these times he also asks her to help him commit genocide. so. just let that sink in. he's mostly just a plot device in later years and outside of his scant character development in the original Omega Men run he just doesn't to be an interesting character with a place in the dynamic of his family.

part 2/3
Now we are on to part 2, and after watching the season finale, I hope people are starting to see that Lila really is not what she seems. From having a secret layer in the Beach Room of the Paris Catacombs, (the part that is technically off limits) to keeping an evidence board and lots of wigs and various colored contacts. She is the most unhinged character in all of Miraculous and for that I must respect her! She’s great and anyone would be crazy to not love her. She could murder someone and that would be so her you know? Anyways speaking of having evidence boards.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Without further ado, lets get into what season 3 has to offer evidence wise in regards to my Lila theory, and let me tell you it’s a doozy.
Chameleon
Marinette is explaining to Alya and Nino why she doesn't trust Lila.
Marinette: "Fine I'll tell you everything" *proceeds to walk to a table with Alya following her, and she grabs Nino before he goes to sit by Lila with the rest of the class who are all captivated and fawning over her. Proceeds to drag Nino to where she and Alya are going to sit*
"You remember Lila when she first came to school right after the summer break? She was only here for one day, and then she left on that round the world trip. Everyone was... Captivated by her! Something just felt... Off to me. So I... Followed her."
Alya and Nino: "What?!"
*flashback to Volpina*
Marinette: "She lies with every breath!"
Nino: "Wait. You eavesdropped on Lila and Adrien? That's not cool!"
Alya: "A good reporter always verifies her sources. Can you prove she doesn't actually know Ladybug?"
Later when Marinette is confronting Lila in the bathroom
Lila: "I only tell people what they wanna hear."
Marinette: "It's called, LYING!"
Lila: "There's nothing you can do about it anyway. People can't resist when they hear what they like to hear. If you don't wanna be my friend? Fine. But soon you won't have ANY friends left at all, and trust me. I'll make sure you never get close to Adrien in class, or anyone. You are a little less dumb than the others, so I'll give you one last chance. You're either with me, or against me. You don't have to answer right away. I'll give you till the end of class today." *walks away flipping hair while Marinette is stuck cornered in the wall still, dumbfounded*
Marinette: "I thought Chloe was Evil, but Lila really takes the whole cake! She's like a supervillain who doesn't need a costume!"
Tiki: "You mustn't let her get to you Marinette!"
Marinette: "If I don't manage to expose her Lies, she'll ruin my life Tiki! She'll turn my friends against me! Including Adrian!" *anger intensifies*
Later after marinette clumsily evades an akuma, Lila sees Adrien.
Adrien: "Hey Lila!"
Lila: "Adrien! We'll have to figure out when you're going to help me catch up on all the schoolwork I missed! I also heard you play piano! My uncle was a great pianist from Berocha, he wanted to teach me when I was little, but I had to stop playing because of arthritis. But when my wrist gets better, I'd love for you to give me some lessons."
Adrien: "Lila. I'm perfectly happy being friends with you, and I'll gladly help you catch up on your schoolwork. But... Please don't lie to me like you did last time with Ladybug."
*Lila looks incredibly shocked, and she has a small flashback to Volpina when Ladybug called her a liar.*
Lila: "Ladybug's the liar."
Adrien: "I'm not judging you Lila. Instead of making friends, you're going to turn everyone against you. You can tell me if there's something bothering you. I can help! But you need to be honest with me."
Lila: "Are you trying to be some superhero lecturing me just like Ladybug did? Well thanks, but no thanks. Ugh."
Lila is turned into Chameleon, and her power is that she can kiss someone which knocks them out, and then she takes their appearance.
Onichan
Lila is talking to Adrien about getting help in catching up with her schoolwork, and she sees Marinette and Alya spying in on her.
Lila: "Why don't we go to your place to do our homework? It would be so much quieter wouldn't it?"
Adrien: "My father would never agree to that.
Lila: "I bet you I could change his mind!" *proceeds to run away while dragging Adrien*
*Marinette and Alya follow and see Adrien and his bodyguard and Lila*
Marinette: "There's no way Adrien's bodyguard will let her in the car."
*bodyguard proceeds to let her in the car*
Later while in the car
Lila: "What's the worst grade you've ever gotten?"
Adrien: "An A- in Math. Listen Lila, you should forget about this. My father can be harsh with anyone he thinks is an intruder."
Lila: "We're not doing anything wrong. Leave this to me." (I think it's interesting how confident she seems to be in getting everyone to do what she wants.)
*Walking up to the house*
Nathalie: "I'm sorry Adrien, but you know your father. He-"
Lila: "Excuse me ma'am, but is there any way I could ask him directly? Just in case?" (It's interesting that she insists on asking him herself.)
Nathalie: "Mr. Agreste is busy designing, and must not be disturbed for any reason!"
Lila: (she seems kinda surprised momentarily. Not noticeably though.)
Adrien: "I told ya so."
Lila: "Oh Adrien, I so wanted to help you make up all the school work you missed, due to all the modeling you've been doing lately. What will your father think if he finds out about your lower grades Adrien? Who will he believe?" (Lila looks toward Nathalie. I don't know. That last line seems to have a lot of weight to it.)
Nathalie: "Adrien! Have your grades gone down?"
Lila: "He'd never tell you himself, but when I saw Adrien crying the other day because he only got an A-? I just felt like I had to offer him my help! It would have taken half an hour."
Nathalie: *briefly looks puzzled and is considering*
Lila: "I understand. You're only doing what you think is best. I did what i could Adrien. Good luck."
Nathalie: "If it's only half an hour."
Lila: "if you really insist I'll do it." *grabs Adriens arm and runs inside*
Marinette: *from outside the gate where she had been listening in.* "Seriously? How does she do that?"
Later after some shenanigans, the time is up and Lila has to leave. While leaving, Gabriel comes out of his office. Gorilla instantly steps in front of Lila to hide her. She then jumps out from behind him to introduce herself.
Lila: "Mr. Gabriel Agreste! I am such an admirer of your fashion designs. This is the best day of my life!" *Gabriel clears his throat. Lila suddenly has a brief look on her face before suddenly changing her tactic* "I know how busy you are, so I won't take up any more of your time." *runs away* "have a good evening!" *continues running*
Later after Kagami has been akumatized into Onichan, she tracks down Lila and stalks her.
*Kagami runs past, and Lila looks around suspiciously but sees no one.*
*now Lila is walking extremely nervously, looking back and forth.*
Onichan: "Lila..."
*lila looks around again and then starts running away and hides behind a wall. She seems really nervous about something or someone. She then peaks out from the corner she's hiding in*
Onichan: "Lila Rossi."
*Onichan pops up and a surprised Lila gasps*
Onichan: "I forbid you from going anywhere near Adrien! Give up on him and I will spare you."
Lila: "Adrien- I don't know anyone named Adrie-"
Onichan: "Don't lie to me!"
Lila:
"I'm really sorry but I always get what I want. It's not my fault."
(This line is really interesting to me, especially when you look at Lila's face. It looks like she's being genuine about this fact.)
Ladybug
After Lila lies to undo her other lies that got Marinette expelled, Marinette talks to her outside Mr. Damocles office.
Marinette: "People should know better. Things aren't always what they seem to be at first sight. So, look. I don't know why you felt the urge to start all this, or why all of a sudden you lied to fix this mess, but I'm glad to see you're capable if coming back to your senses. Sometimes."
Lila:
"As you said, things aren't always what they seem to be at first sight."
Lila walks away leaving a confused Marinette.
About Chameleon
Chameleon’s powers are the ability to look like anyone, and even to take their place by putting them into a magical sleep. Based on what we know from season 5, this may be something that should be looked at more. For me something that comes to mind is Changelings from fairy tales. Changelings are when fairies will switch places with a human infant or toddler. Rarely will you see a changeling switch with an adult, and when it does happen the replacement is usually a log or something. Even then, the contemporary idea of changelings is quite different. In a lot of modern stories, they tend to be a type of fae that is capable of transforming, and looking like another person. Going back to the original idea of changelings though, depending on the story the motivations of a changeling would be different. In some cases they were the children of fairies being sent to be raised by humans, usually because fairies weren’t as good at taking care of their own children or something. This is also why adults would be taken and replaced, so that the fairies could make them become servants and nurses for their own children. Of course this still depends on the story, as there are other motivations as well. Sometimes the changeling is a fully grown fairy replacing the child, because the fairies wanted a human child for whatever reason. Sometimes the reason is to raise it as their own, other times it is to have it become a servant when it's older, etc. I’m not suggesting that Lila is a changeling, or even a fairy, but I do think the similarities are interesting, and who’s to say she isn’t perhaps some kind of fae or even half fae of some kind. There really isn’t a whole lot known about her at this point, and to be honest, this could be interesting.
About Onichan
While we’re on the topic of possible backstories for Lila, I think we should be asking what Lila was so afraid of in Onichan. She seems so uncharacteristically afraid. Especially considering that as far as she knows the only people who know she is lying are Adrien and Marinette, and neither of them are a threat. Of course anyone would be scared if some invisible voice was calling out their name ominously, but still. This makes me think that there may be something she’s running from. Maybe there’s a reason for why she is taking on so many identities as we see in season 5. I’m sure that many have seen the season 5 finale at this point, and I can’t help but wonder if perhaps there’s a connection between her fear in this episode as well as whatever that was at the end of recreation. And do not tell me that this was the ghost of Gabriel, or Nooroo. As far as I’m concerned, this is a completely new thing that we haven’t seen in the show yet. Maybe it’s Tomoe, or maybe it’s Majestia’s evil sister Ignoblia! She did make an appearance in Reunion after all, so maybe she’s going to be in season 6. There are so many possibilities, but I do think that it may be something relating to Lila’s past. If someone has that many secret identities, then they’re bound to have a few enemies they’re hiding from.
Lastly let's talk about Onichan for a minute. What Lila says, "I'm really sorry but I always get what I want. It's not my fault", this line has been really getting the gears in my brain going. I can’t help but to think that if she does have powers, then they go beyond just lying. Lying is merely a tool. I would suggest that she has a natural charm about her that makes people just like her and want to be around her. Whether she wants this or not. Another character with a similar ability that comes to mind is Piper McLean from the Heroes of Olympus book series by Rick Riordan. This power is called Charm speak. On the fan wiki it is described as “a type of hypnotism or persuasion in which it allows the speaker to convince someone else to do or get whatever they want”. Obviously I don’t think that Miraculous is in any way connected to the Riordanverse, (although that would make a fun au), but I do think it’s possible that Lila may have a similar power to Piper. This would explain why everyone's IQ apparently goes down to double digits whenever she’s around. It’s like they’re compelled to do what she says. To take this further, we can look at what Marinette says to Alya in Chameleon. “You remember Lila when she first came to school right after the summer break? She was only here for one day, and then she left on that round the world trip. Everyone was... Captivated by her! Something just felt... Off to me.” Like i know that everyone just thinks she happens to be good at lying/in some cases people claim that the writers just suck, but if you ask me this feels far more like foreshadowing and quite frankly I’m disappointed that no one else has picked up on this yet. Like I could rant all day about how confused I am at the fact that not once has someone considered that maybe Lila isn’t just a good liar. (In all fairness I watch way too many ARG videos/Gravity Falls changed the way I watch cartoons/I grew up watching unhinged cartoon and video game theories about adventure time and zelda so………). Back to what I was saying though, the evidence is right there. Lila is absolutely a liar, but she has a lot more to her than simply telling a goofy lie about saving a rockstars kitten that he probably never had from a runway.

on a more serious note after i’ve processed this trauma, let’s talk about crowley and aziraphale.
(HUGE spoilers for good omens season 2)
i want to particularly note how after crowley is asked if he and zira are together, he immediately goes on to drink. he gets so drunk over it to the point where he tells gabriel to jump out of a fucking window; and not only that but he expresses very vividly his feelings about zira’s trial in heaven - which wasn’t even a trial at all, it was just punishment without any negotiation.
the symbolism between heaven and hell and how it reflects on these two is almost jaw dropping. crowley was an angel once, and he clearly doesn’t want nor care for any kind of forgiveness after his fall. he’s grown more accustomed to being in hell than being in heaven, and then he adjusts even more so to being on earth. he doesn’t quite believe in the whole good and bad trope no matter how much he insists on being anything but good and kind. he’s somewhat neutral, but he’s more inclined to follow zira in what he does - even if it takes a lot of convincing and the “i was wrong” dance.
zira is an angel and is very much attached to that role. we see that because of how devastated he gets after lying or when someone even mentions disobeying god’s plan. and even as he grows more used to deceiving and/or lying his way out of certain ploys and keeping his angelic role, we still can see that he is very devoted to heaven; and, unlike crowley, is a firm believer in the good and bad trope. he even goes on to call crowley the bad guy in most cases. but no matter how far away zira strays from heaven, he is devoted to it. even after being called a traitor.
zira doesn’t appear to be very in touch with his emotions throughout the whole show. he can feel things like love, sure, but maybe that interferes with his own feelings. as such, he doesn’t realize just how close he is to crowley until it’s too late. crowley, on the other hand, lost the ability to sense things like love and whatnot. he seems to have a firmer grasp and understanding on his feelings, especially since he’s very emotional and expressive about it.
what zira does understand is being appreciated and praised. now getting that sort of attention from crowley is one thing, but to receive it from the metatron himself? that’s a whole new level of validation. especially after being offered such a position. it’s not manipulation nor something in the coffee, it’s aziraphale’s desire to please heaven - it’s his devotion coming to surface again. and the way he’s so utterly overjoyed at the prospect of having not one, but two things he loves at the same time makes him so unaware of what crowley would think. crowley clearly doesn’t share that same passion, and when he hears the offer right when he’s about to spill his innermost feelings, that has to be absolutely destructive to him.
but then we can go even further. crowley is so desperate to hear that zira denied the offer because this is what it has all come down to. 5,000+ years of being on their own side, of being an angel and a demon, of being best friends and barely nothing more. he knows full well that he’s changed far too much to go back to the life of an angel, and he’s grown too fond of this little life he carved out for himself; for THEM. for it to all change in the snap of a finger, at such a bad time, is heartbreaking. that’s without mentioning how he just watched a relationship between gabriel and beelzebub take off faster than his own relationship ever could have.
they absolutely love each other, but it seems like one understands that more than the other. zira has been appreciated by crowley for so long, he’s put his vessel’s well-being into that demon’s hands repeatedly. they could always lean on each other. but when the very thing you’ve poured your whole existence into pleasing finally starts to exhibit that same sort of appreciation, don’t you think it could overpower that old source of love?

Hello. I'm the Anon who asked the question about the hunters and their competency. I never thought of it that way, and I really like your take on these kind of things. So here's another one for you; what did the Hale's actually do for Beacon hills?
It may have been a narrative oversight in the background. However, within the story we are told of all these great things that Talia and the Hale's that came before her did for beacon hills. Yet by the time Derek shows up there is no one present to help him. Going off the lost Prince narrative, a take I've heard you talk about before when it came to him, usually there are still people around who are willing to help. Yet the individuals we are introduced to that knew his mom and the legacy she had have either turned to the dark side or said we're sitting this mess out.
In a debatably unfair comparison to Scott, during his departure all of his allies that stayed behind still continue to fight the good fight even 15 years later (according to the movie). So the question becomes what inspiration did Talia and\or the Hale family actually have on anybody if no one was still around willing to continue her mission? Or should we go off Deaton's word that her death was so impactful that everyone lost hope to explain the absence?
Textually, we can only draw evidence from four episodes: Visionary (3x08), Riddled (3x18), 117 (4x02), and Orphaned (4x06). While previous episodes had shown the wealth and the history of the Hale family, only these four (please correct me if I'm wrong) touch upon the relationship between the Hales and Beacon Hills. We know that werewolf packs would come to seek Talia Hale's guidance and that she had significant status, which could explain (along with the Nemeton) why there were so many werewolf packs present in Beacon County. We know that the Talia Hale saw protecting Beacon Hills as a duty of her family. We know that they undertook public service works, such as funding (and influencing) the construction of the high school. The clearest statement comes from the Benefactor's cassette-tape introduction.
Voice: Eventually settling in a small town in Northern California, this family used their wealth to rebuild the community around them while remaining isolated from it.
So, part of your answer was that while the Hales were involved in building and protecting Beacon Hills, they did so surreptitiously. Thus, it's not outrageous for Derek to not have any contacts or allies among the civil authorities. But what about the supernatural community? While Derek, Peter, and Cora did not know who Deaton was (though Peter figured it out quickly), there was Satomi. Derek remembered her in Weaponized (4x07). Why didn't he seek her out when Laura was murdered?
The answer is clear, and it's why Derek was an antagonist in Season 1 (and a villain in Season 2). Because of Paige and Kate, he didn't trust anyone. There's a reason he didn't go to the police for help with his sister's murder and instead buried her in his burned-down family mansion's side yard. There's a reason he chose to use Scott as bait rather than wait until Scott threatened to go to the police at the end of Pack Mentality (1x03). It's a fanon creation that he was only trying to help Scott, because you can't help someone you don't trust. This distrust in others (and in himself) lies at the root at everything he did wrong until he allowed himself to trust in Scott, the pack, and Braeden, which enabled him to duplicate his mother's power in Smoke & Mirrors (4x12). Derek didn't go to Satomi (or any other ally of his mother) because of distrust and shame, and so he hurt himself.
It's one of the reasons that the Lost Prince trope doesn't apply to Teen Wolf, and thus it became a source of frustration to fandom. Derek's story wasn't reclaiming his family's legacies, it was evolving into the best person he could be by letting go of the past. This was epitomized by his transfiguration at the end of the movie.
I'm not quite following the argument of your last paragraph, because one of your premises isn't true, and one of them is questionable. All of Scott's allies didn't remain in Beacon Hills. Stiles, Liam, Deaton, Lydia, and Jackson live and work elsewhere. It can be assumed that Isaac, Marin, Cora, Theo, Hayden and Corey are elsewhere as well if they are still Scott's allies. Derek, Peter, and Malia live in Beacon Hills, as do his mother, Parrish, and the Sheriff. None of them acted as if this were strange. The idea that a pack must live together in the same house is mostly a fanon invention. After all, Mrs. Finch was alpha of the Primal Pack and yet had rejected their ways. ("It's my pack, too.")
Which leads me to question your second premise, "still fighting the good fight." Against whom? There's no indication that the lives of the people of Beacon Hills are in danger 13 years after Monroe fled. Eli certainly acts like a normal teenager, not a child who grew up in a war zone. There's not the slightest whiff of resentment from the pack members who are in Beacon Hills about the pack members who aren't in it. This tracks, and to be frank, Teen Wolf makes a whole hell of a lot more sense if Scott McCall's teenage years are seen as anomalous in the lives of average werewolves. They weren't meant to be seen as failwolves because they weren't supposed to be superheroes. The idea of pack as a paramilitary unit always on guard against territorial intrusion or evil threats is a fanon invention with little backing in canon.
I hope this answers your question.

Ok so one more post i wanna say to the rise fandom, and forgive me if i get something wrong I've only been here for 2 weeks.
1) Remain CAUTIOUSLY optimistic! Keep your expectations in check. Hope for the best but don't expect much, if something does come of this I'd imagine it might take longer than a week to hear any definitive news on the fate of the show, good or bad. I'd give it a month and that might still be a little early.
2) i know we all want the show on Netflix, damn I do paramount sucks, but there's probably some legal hoops they'd have to go through to make that happen if they even could. Paramount is now officially Nick's hosting service for their shows for streaming. Pretty sure the only reason Netflix got the exclusive rights for the movie was because at the time of development i don't think paramount plus even existed yet. Now that it does, and it's the only legal place to watch season 2 (in the US) if we get more seasons i think its more likely it'll be on Paramount.
3) if the show does get renewed expect at least about a year for it to return or to get trailers. I know we got boards out there but idk how far into development they got on those deleted episodes. I also don't know like who has like custody of those boards ya know? I imagine Nick but i also feel like the artist who worked on those boards have been releasing them i think? Either way the point is those episodes aren't finished. And the show has been on pause for like what, 2 years right? It would be pretty difficult to get everyone back. I garuntee a large number of the people involved have moved onto other projects and don't have the time to return to the show. Plus what was already developed might still need to be edited or cut due to the sudden change in dynamic at the end of the season 2 finale (mostly leo being dubbed the leader)
4) who is this man??? (/srs /lh)
And why does it seem like we're taking his word as gospel on the fate of this show? Unless I'm getting people confused here, Everyone seemed to be talking about him talking about the show. So much so i assumed he was one of the creators, but i looked into it and he's not? Idk i kinda just glanced at his info but it seemed like the only involvement he had in Rise was creating a calendar (?) And i think creating the krangified challenge? I even asked my friend who got me into the show who was following it when it was airing and even they don't know who he is. Genuinely who is this person, just let me know if he's even a credible or reliable source. Cus unless it's coming right from the creators themselves im not convinced.
5) last thing. Please do not harrass people about the show! I've seen people try and pressure at least one youtube reviewer into reviewing it like he was the only thing standing in the way of season 3 like Nick was holding thw show at gun point til he reviewed it. (Not like that dramatic but also i don't think its going to make that much of a difference. Pretty sure these studios don't look at who's reviewing their show unless they're trying to copyright strike them) and please don't bug the people who were with or on the show. They probably can't tell you anything anyways cus ya know NDAs are a thing. Just please be civil 🙏 (but the Nick and Maybe Netflix and Paramount that's fine probably. It is always morally correct to bully corporations /hj)

Hiii I just wondered your take on the end of episode 5? I do wonder how much Sam didn't like that being in the episode? I'm kinda middle of the road I guess but i would prefer the argument and drop with Loustat not being in the episode. I heard the iwtv podcast last night with naomi and the writer of that ep was on and she was just laughing how the rest of the writers found out about that scene. I don't think they put any thought really into that. She said she'd written into plays but never tv series. Maybe it shows, idk :/
Hey nonny,
so I have written a lot about this before, here is a summary post. I would suggest to read especially the linked post re the intent of it and the two linked posts by Linda Codega on Gizmodo. There's really a lot going on!
And I mean... please trust me that those writers put all the thought into those scenes. Just take a look at the meta commentary they put into it with the books Louis reads that fit with what the scene shows us. It's insane.
But if they can tell what they thought and put into it and why in a podcast that... quite frankly does only focus on first time watchers (and not on the book fans with the necessary background knowledge...)... mhhhhh. That is a different story 😅 (Not even the actors could tell a lot in the podcast!)
The podcast should not be your source for truth. Sorry to say it so clearly but there are ... quite a few things in reaction and "takes" in it which simply will not hold, and which made a lot of the book fans wince when we heard them.
And a lot of the writers are playwrights and that definitely shows. The show is quite ingenious because of it, which makes it far from easy. But you will only see the full extent of it after season 2 (earliest, if my gut feeling is right only after season 3!), and this show has more layers than a darn tree cake.
And as per Sam... there was this, I think it was the Cast Diaries? and in interviews? where Sam and Jacob spoke about feeling a bit bad filming that scene, and that Sam struggled that day he had to drag Jacob along the driveway? But they also spoke about how cool it was to film the fight itself.
Honestly? That struggling to film this only speaks for Sam, imho, but he also said that he got why when they talked about it all and... it's a good thing to keep that in mind.
This is a play, written by playwrights, split in half (at least).
You will only be able to judge anything we've seen so far when the play is done.

the Witcher fandom, a rant
why is it so hard for people to believe its possible for a show to come back from a bad season, if Picard can come back after a bad season 2 why cant the Witcher?
don`t fall for the “Henry left because it wasn't like the books” rumor perpetuated mostly by alt right youtube channels who call everything they don't like “Woke” the real reason is likely because of contract disputes, he signed an unfair contract with Netflix signing away his likeness hence why his face couldn't be shown in his dc cameos, and why he hasn't been legally able to do any projects outside of netflix and he understandably wanted out
if there was a schism between the people working on the show over accuracy wouldn't other people involved in the project has left as well, like the polish producer Tomasz Baginski, who is a huge fan of the novels and worked on the games
is it so ludicrous to believe that they saw the reaction to season 2 and overcorrected, its happened before with tv show were they get retooled after audience reaction
we are getting the conclusion to the stuff that was set up in season 2 that felt incomplete because it was, the political intrigue of the northern kingdoms, Geralt/Yennifer reconciling and talking about the wish Ciri and Yennifer bonding ( I have a whole other rant coming about how Yennifer`s actions at the end of last season were misinterpreted by most people and how she was not the one in control like it may have seemed on first watch )
why would they bother filming in the Sahara for the desert scenes or doing super complex scenes like the Thanedd ball/ coup if they didn't care about the material and could just make a safe lower budget monster of the week style show with mass appeal
I might ad that a good chunk of the outcries from so called “fans” over the accuracy were often done with the addition of racist, misogynistic, and (now given what we know about season three) homophobic comments aimed at the female and poc cast and crew members, if it really was about representing the source material why would they feel the need to make comments like those that have nothing to do the story or characters
im not saying you have to like this show, I have alot of problems with it myself but ever since that false headline about Andrzej Sapkowski supposedly “ hating” the video games the Witcher fandom has had a serious problem with blindly listening click/ragebait headlines and putting words into peoples mouths, please stop doing this so we all can have a better fandom experience

the summer i turned pretty 1x03 review -- "you mean conrad?"
Oh god, the infinity symbol. Why would you pour that on her pancakes tho. Why is that the moment for the Moment.
"Looking like a vision in floral." She looks NORMAL. You guys are making it seem like she's Arwen coming to Frodo in an ethereal light and bringing him back from the brink of death.
Why would you get your daughter a present because it includes your best friend's favourite poem? That doesn't make any sense. That should be a gift for Susannah. This isn't how you show how close all of you are.
"You excited to see Taylor?" How long has it been since you last saw her? Like a week?
"You're the main character, not Taylor." Is she though?
"I do not want to be cancelled by the sailing community" that's not what being cancelled IS.
stop. saying. extra.
"I just really want to look good next to you" you know, you wouldn't have to try this hard with Jere, Steven.
BOYFRIENDS.
Yeah, Steven, play with your boyfriend
I don't understand why this volleyball scene is so long.
"I know, I just ... care." Do you though?
So if Nicole is the girl this season then who the fuck is Aubrey?
Nicole, honey, you can do SO MUCH BETTER than Conrad.
"Suddenly you care about clothes, you have new friends, you have a boyfriend." OK a) they're making it seem like Belly was dressing as a slob and she her wearing a baggy shirt and shorts isn't the same vibe, it's like when Teen Wolf was trying to say that Kira looked so un-put-together and messy and my girl was looking like this
please be serious. 2. Nicole literally sat by the pool with Conrad and watched you and Belly play water volleyball together. It's not like you and Belly went to get a banana split and then Nicole dropped by and she was like I invited Nicole too, that's OK right? and then you watched as they had all these inside jokes and Belly's trying to include you. You are still very prominent Taylor. 3. Same thing. Jere picked you two up it's not like she came to pick you up from the bus station with Cam Cameron and you walk to the car and see them making out and you have to be like "erm erm". *cries in frustration* DETAILS. And if these things happen later, they shouldn't they should happen BEFORE this conversation.
Where are Steven and Jere they are my only source of marginal entertainment this season because of pure head canon.
"Just promise me one thing, we'll always be best friends?" She comes her for three months out of the entire year, Taylor.
Right, Aubrey was his girlfriend from before and Nicole is a new disposable chick.
"You think you could talk to him?" see, if they were as close as they were meant to be, Laurel wouldn't need direction to speak to Connor about opening up. She'd just do it.
Why would you have a Midsommar theme? White people realize it's a movie about white supremacy right?
See Jere's being an ass here with the whole her lips touch a dead animal's lips but calling him Cam Cameron is just a dumb way to be a dick.
And Cam showed you the fuck up with that quick peck, Jere, so shut up you child.
BOYFRIENDS
Taylor is a good friend though, I just find her supremely annoying but that's a best friend.
OK so if you're going to play Best Friend by Saweetie, this is not the scene you play it at
for thirty seconds until they walk into the party. Especially when you're rolling up looking like this
If anything, what should happen is Taylor should do her up, look proud at her work and when they roll up to the party, she's NOTICED by people and Taylor should look her proudly and the song should be playing. JUST GIVE ME A SHOW.
Oh Jere and a disposable Black guy to make out with.
What kind of likkle stiff kiss is this?
*staring at Conrad* for WHY. I love how we're three episodes deep and I have NO IDEA why she likes him.
Yeaaah Lola tries too hard to act like she's having a good time.
So does Jeremiah.
Hahah I like how they skipped over the super rape-y part of Summer Lovin'.
Yeah, see again, this makeout is very just staged. If it's a stupid, drunken mistake, it should be a little sloppier.
"Oh my God I am so sick of hearing about this fucking deb ball." Did Belly ever mention it?
It's literally been one day, Taylor. And aren't you supposed to know that Belly has her Cousins life anyway?
It has been. a day. And Belly has been acting EXACTLY the same. She just finally wears the clothes you want her to.
So, she is but she hasn't done anything to you, Taylor, for you to say that.
We literally never see this, though! She just looks at him from time to time in a way that's supposed to be wistful but she can't access the nuance for that.
I remember I was obsessed with this guy in high school and I took a picture of him and his friends when we all went on a class trip to the States, I really just wanted a picture of him but I wasn't going to ask him to JUST take a picture alone so I took the picture and then I was looking at the picture on the bus but like zooming in so I could only see him and my friend was like WHAT'RE YOU DOING? and looked over and saw what I was doing and then we both decided that she never saw that and THAT was super embarrassing. I should be seeing THAT type of "omg I feel like I'm in high school again" shit from Belly.
Give me a gen z version of this shit
"I can't deal with this right now. I gotta go." I mean why? What are you doing, Belly?
See I know the whole thing is Jeremiah is supposed to be friending Cam Cameron up to deflect but it's not giving him the layers they think it is.
And he's not good at playing drunk.
OH MY GOD, the way I BURST OUT LAUGHING AT THIS
she is TERRIBLE.
"Can I ask you something..." "Is that it?" "Yeah, that's it." Why are they acting like the moment to ask him has passed when he still has to drive her home?
Like is that car ride silent?
"They should be in his desk" where she will find the infinity necklace.
"He's been acting weird for months. Just forget him." Lol, do you two like each other?
"And today you can't stop obsessing over Conrad" and like I know that we use that word liberally and this is partly because the acting is terrible but the scene needs more room to breathe. Like I feel like what should happen is she sees the bracelet and she mulls about it quietly and Jeremiah keeps asking her about Cam Cameron and she gives monosyllabic responses and then he's like Bells, where are you? Like you're barely speaking and then she should talk about Conrad in a rush where she just can't stop talking and it's like verbal diarrhea and then she takes a deep breath and Jere's just like wowwwwwwww
Honestly, Belly.
Brat.
Oh my god Belly, you should be yelling at him for making out with Taylor when he's dating someone else.
For your best friend dying, this is a very cold conversation. Like they're trying to be Beaches but they're not being Beaches.
My mom was OBSESSED with that movie omg.

Summary: Said I'm fine and said I moved on; I'm only here passing time in her arms, hoping I'll find a glimpse of us.
A series of events following the aftermath of the worst day of your life, and how Steve Harrington picks up the pieces that are left of you.
A/N: Committing myself for female hysteria after the events of volume 2--- that’s right, we’re bringing that diagnosis back, because I’m losing my mind. 😭😭😭 THIS IS NOT A FIX-IT FIC. THIS IS SIMPLY A COPING FIC.
Numbness is what despair feels like, when you’re wrapped in the all-black exhaustion of it. Too lost in the dull ache to shed another tear, staring down at the ring on your finger. Turning it with your thumb. The small gold band was accompanied by an equally modest stone settling, but it was worth more than anything else you own, if only in sentimentality, and that is what makes you feel the most guilty right now. It’s been years, but as much as you’ve tried to put that life behind you, you remember it like it was just yesterday.
— 💍 —
“He’d asked me for it a couple weeks ago,” Wayne Munson had said that day that you sat on his couch in the desolate emptiness that gripped the trailer which had once been so full of life. “Couldn’t rightly figure out why he wanted his mother’s ring after all this time, and I had to dig around to find it, but I think I know, now.”
The older man had simply placed it in your hand. There hadn’t been a box. There had been no knee to bend down upon. There was no question to give your answer to, but you knew what your answer would’ve been, all the same.
There was just you and Wayne, swallowed up by the grief that would always tie the two of you together, far more than his words ever could, “That boy always loved you. He didn’t talk much about it, but even I could see that much.” You were crying softly, as you slipped it on, and it fit perfectly, as if it were always meant to be placed on your ring finger, which was somehow worse than if it hadn’t. Wayne struggled through his words, having to pause between them with the emotion in his own throat, black suit jacket shifting with his anxious fidgeting, “It’s yours, now. You’ll always be family, to me… I know it’s what… what Eddie would’ve wanted. You were good to him, so thank y—”
“Don’t,” you’d interrupted, choking around a sob, tears falling onto your own black dress. Wayne didn’t know the truth of it. He didn’t know how you’d left him there. Wayne had to bury an empty casket, all because you didn’t fight hard enough. “Don’t thank me—”
“No, you made him happy, these last couple months—”
“Please,” you beg, heart breaking with every word. Shutting your eyes so tightly, because you can barely see past your tears as it is. Whispering, “I couldn’t save him—”
He had taken your hand, then. The one the engagement ring was on, squeezing your hand. Unknowing of what to say, but perhaps there was nothing at all. He was crying, too, as much as Wayne Munson tried not to.
You’d both sat there for a long while, or perhaps only minutes, and you’d known then that missing Eddie Munson was something that had seeped into your soul. You’d never shake it, and the way Wayne tried to comfort you through his own debilitating grief only made it worse.
When he had collected himself enough to promise, “You’ll always be welcome here,” you could only think about how you wished you weren’t. You wished he could turn you away, because that would be easier than mourning Eddie in the emptiness of his room. Taking the few things that you had left there back with you, and maybe if Wayne had met you with more animosity, you could have grieved Eddie in a way that allowed you to move on.
But you’d been destined to live in the past, ever since he died.
— 💍 —
You pull the ring from your finger, older, but none the wiser. It’s been nearly seven years since Eddie passed, and maybe Steve was right. Turning your eyes towards the bedside table, at the decorative plate where you’ve already rested your more formal wedding rings, you know he is.
You were still just as in love with Eddie Munson, as that night you’d refused to leave his side. That’s the worst part, the truth.
— 💍 —
Blood had covered your hands, your shirt, with how tightly you gripped Eddie to you. He was getting cold as Dustin screamed at you to get up, to move from your place on the street that you had ended up. The boy was too hurt to drag you off of Eddie, and you had long since dissolved into an endless stream of sobs, cheek pressed against the crown of his head.
Any attempt you’d made at CPR had failed when your arms did, the burn in them aching even worse after the fact of your attempt at dragging the man back towards the gate. You weren’t thinking about the danger, about the risk that surrounded you and the nearly-inconsolable boy begging you to come back with him through the gate.
It’s how Steve, Robin, and Nancy came upon you, sobbing as you held onto Eddie’s lifeless form, while Dustin weakly tried to pull you up by the arm. They tried to talk to you, tried to get you to hear reason, but there was no sense to it.
There was only the blind, hysterical hope of denial that if you held him, he would somehow be alright.
Steve had grabbed you under your arms, breath warmer than Eddie would ever be again, “You have to let him go,” and you’d screamed when he dragged you away.
“I can’t leave him! I can’t—!”
“You have to! We have to go! He’s gone—!” Steve had choked out, wrestling you to your feet as you fought him every step of the way.
“Leave me here!” you had begged in your mindless hysteria, but Steve’s grip was firm, as he wrapped his arms around your waist to hoist you towards the trailer, out of the street. “Please, Steve, just leave me! Let me stay with him!”
“I can’t, you know I can’t—!”
It felt like you had already died, as the vision of Eddie’s body blurred behind your tears, dissolving into incoherent, gut-wrenching screams, while Robin tried her best to help Steve all but manhandle you back into the trailer. Nancy handled the limping Dustin, but your legs had all but stopped working with the overwhelming sea of emotion that washed over you in that moment.
Sobbing, “No—! No, please—!” as you abandoned him there.
Steve, stopping your fight in its tracks when you find yourself inside the trailer, straightening you with a firm shake on your shoulders, tears brimming in his own eyes as he screams at you to come to your senses, “I can’t leave you here! You know I can’t leave you here! Come on!”
“Steve,” it sobs, broken, in the back of your throat, tears streaming down your cheeks at their own accord, and your old friend drags you into his arms.
“I know, but we have to go. He,” Steve swallows, “he wouldn’t want you to stay here.”
As much as you knew it was true, you hated him for it.
But you left him there.
— 💍 —
Had you ever forgiven Steve for saving your life that day? Was that the reason you put him through hell, now? Did you even realize you had done it, at all?
You’ve told yourself you’ve moved on. That the part of you who had loved Eddie Munson with your whole heart had been able to step aside when you fell in love with Steve. That, just maybe, she could bury herself deep enough that loving him would be enough to forget.
Truth be told, she was closer to the surface than you’d ever wanted to admit, and Steve had every right to feel like he did about it.
After all, he was your husband, not Eddie.
— 💍 —
“Uncle Wayne,” you’d smiled, seeing him again after all this time. Three years, and he was finally back in Hawkins, if only for a little while. The diner was bustling, but the dark-haired baby on your hip seemed to be the only thing Wayne could keep his eyes on when you slid into the booth across from him. “Sorry I’m late, but getting ready takes longer these days.”
“I can imagine, with a little one. I didn’t know you’d had the baby yet?” he’d asked, leaning back in his booth. The years had worn on him, as much as the grief had, and he looked in worse health, “I guess I’ve been gone for longer than I thought. Time gets away from me, these days. Trying to focus on work.”
“Yeah, he’s almost one now,” you chuckled. “Steve would’ve come, but he’s working today.”
“That’s alright,” Wayne reached for his coffee, sipping it. “Just tell him I said, ‘hello,’ if I’m not able to see him before I hit the road again.”
“Actually… I have something to tell you,” you began, brushing the baby’s hair along his forehead with your hand, while he tried to catch your dangling bracelet. Wayne’s eyes focus on the movement, at the three rings settled there along your fingers. You wore them every day, now. The wedding band Steve had slipped onto your finger the day of your wedding, along with the engagement ring he’d given you back in those earlier days of your relationship. The smaller, older ring, though, that was the same one Wayne had given you, that day after the funeral, in his trailer.
“Oh?” Wayne hummed curiously, eyes darting away, out the window beside where you sat, “What is it?”
“Steve and I hope you don’t mind. I would’ve asked first, but I couldn’t get a hold of you,” you had worried, nervously stroking your son’s head, before catching the stare Wayne finally cast upon you once more, “We named him Edward James Harrington, after Eddie.”
Wayne’s coffee cup had clamored against the table, when he fumbled it in his hands, but he recovered quickly. He’d always had to.
“What?” he had breathed softly, swallowing thick, as he looked down to the dark-eyed baby boy who would always look more like Steve than you. In another world, that might have been Eddie’s, and you both know it. It’s left unsaid, but in the way Wayne’s eyes had softened when he looked at the child, it’s clear as day. “You… named him after… Eddie?” If Wayne’s poker face was any less practiced, you would’ve seen the tears that threatened to brim in his eyes, “Now… you didn’t have to do that.”
Reaching across the table, you caught the hand he’d rested alongside his coffee cup in yours, rings brushing against his skin when you gave him a squeeze, “Of course we did.”
And you might as well have still been that same nineteen-year-old who had left him food for supper after a night spent planning Dungeons and Dragons campaigns with his nephew, because you still managed to touch his heart after all these years, “You know… I think Eddie would be happy, to know y’all still cared about him.”
“We’ll always care about him, Wayne,” you’d tried to keep your breathing steady, while the baby in your lap cooed. “He saved Steve’s life, and… and he saved mine in more ways than one.”
You were glad the regret hadn’t been so audible in your voice this time, if only for the sake of the person you were supposed to have become by now. The truth, though, is that you could’ve been an entirely different person, if Eddie had been there to sit beside you. You’re sure Wayne already knows, though, how you would have answered the question, if Eddie ever had the chance to ask it.
But Hawkins had different plans.
— 💍 —
The ring is warm from a day’s worth of wearing it, as it sits in the palm of your hand. The ache in your heart is tethered to the band of it, and the knowledge of what you need to do doesn’t make actually doing it any easier.
“I’m sorry,” you murmur, opening the drawer of your bedside table to place the ring there. You don’t know who you’re apologizing to. Is it Eddie, or is it yourself, for never having allowed yourself to move past this?
Any taste of happiness you have achieved these past seven years has always been tinged with the hint of grief, and that, well… That was only ever your fault.
There’s no more looking back. You can’t afford it, not after the events of this past week. Not when your marriage was nearly in shambles because of it.
You’ll have to choose, and really, Steve’s waited long enough.
— 💍 —
It took a couple of months, but you had effectively pushed everyone away. Distanced yourself from your friends, your family— too consumed by the grief of losing Eddie to do much else. The reality was, you were going through the motions of living, rather than actually living.
The worst part of it all wasn’t the senselessness of it. It wasn’t even the fact that Eddie had died trying to save a town that still hated him, that called him a murderer, a satanist, to this very day.
No, the worst part was the fact that the world kept on going without him. That you had to keep on going without him.
If you had been able to crawl into that empty casket all those months ago, you would’ve done it. Part of you wished you’d died beside him, back in the Upside Down. Many a night you’d cursed Vecna, the whole town of Hawkins, and even Steve, for the result of you being here today when he wasn’t.
It was as low as you’ve ever been in your life, those months immediately following his death, and maybe you were to blame for that. If you hadn’t been so verbal in your defense of Eddie, perhaps the people of Hawkins wouldn’t have turned their ire onto you. If you hadn’t made it so hard for the people around you to help you, maybe it wouldn’t have taken so long before Steve had all but forced his way into your apartment.
Seeing the state of neglect evidenced by the clutter of your home, only served to break Steve’s heart further, “You can’t go on like this.” He’d said your name in a pitiful way, but you hadn’t wanted his pity then. His pity only made you angrier.
“How am I supposed to go on, Steve?” you had been all teeth, biting back at the man who’d been your friend, even before Eddie had ever come into your life. “Like you? Like everyone else in this god-forsaken town that can just forget?”
“I haven’t forgotten,” Steve stepped towards you, and you’d avoided the hand he’d attempted to catch you with, pushing him away.
“You don’t care! No one cares about Eddie! He died for a town full of idiots who never even bothered to get to know him!” you shouted, “Eddie died for all of you and you didn’t even go to the funeral, Steve! The only people there were me, Wayne, and Dustin!” It’s not fair to blame him for everything, but he’s the only one trying, and that makes him the only one left to blame, “Why weren’t you there?!”
He doesn’t have an answer. Not one that he can tell you.
He can’t tell you that he didn’t go, because in some deep, dark part of himself, he was filled with some bizarre acceptance of Munson’s death. That, after the past year of watching you fall in love with Eddie while he’d been standing right beside you for even longer than that, Munson dying had been something he could never be completely bereaved about.
Steve had wanted to be the last man standing when it came to you, but never like this.
Not when you were left so broken in the aftermath of it. Not when he couldn’t pick up the pieces of you that were left without them being haunted by Eddie Munson.
So, he stayed silent, as you raged at him, knowing only how to reach towards you to pull you against him, letting you hit weakly at his chest as tears burst from your eyes all over again, “I’m sorry… I’m sorry.”
Munson just had to go and die, instead of breaking your heart in any other, recoverable way.
Steve knows it’s a selfish thought to have, before he even dares to think it, but as you dissolve into his arms, and he holds you so tightly to him that he’s afraid he might break you all over again, he can’t help himself.
“I’m here—” Steve’s breathing shook, “We’re here— Robin and me. You don’t have to do this all alone.” Your fists had relaxed against his chest, fingers instead grasping into his yellow sweater to hold onto him for dear life as you grieved against his shoulder.
It’s only the tip of the iceberg, when you finally managed to sob, “They… they vandalized my car.” The red spray-paint along the sides of your beat-up Chevy is nothing compared to the mountain of grief that threatens to rip you apart from the inside out, but you focus on the mistreatment instead. It’s easier to talk about, to blame your tears on how the people of Hawkins viewed you these days, rather than how utterly alone you felt without Eddie.
The ghost of his presence still lingered, even when his scent had faded from the shirts of his that Wayne had allowed you to keep, and with each passing day, you were terrified that his memory would fade, too.
So, you focus on the vile words they’d labeled you with, all because you’d dared to speak up. To tell them that they were wrong about Eddie Munson. That he wasn’t a killer, or a cult leader, like they all said.
Defying popular opinion was all it took to earn The Devil’s Whore scrawled along the side of your car in red paint, and as much as Steve wished he could make it all go away, this was too big for even him.
“I know… I saw,” Steve murmured, pulling you back just enough to watch you blink up through your tears at him, brushing the hair that stuck to your damp cheeks away, along with the tears. “Let me help you clean it off, okay?”
You felt far from okay, but you tried to swallow it down, and instead nodded, “Okay.”
— 💍 —
Turns out, Steve was the one out of the two of you who was truly capable of bottling up his emotions. He’d hid his hurt so well, so completely, that you’ve been so oblivious of it for all these years. Not realizing how your lingering grief had seemed to wound him, was perhaps your biggest regret.
It might sound stupid to be jealous of a dead man, but if it was stupid, then you were the worst of all for making him feel that way. For making him question the life you’ve made together— the life that Eddie can never give you.
When Steve had once talked about his dream of a white picket-fence life, filled with a brood of little Harrington children, you never quite thought you’d find yourself in the middle of it. You had been so foolish, back then, to have never realized that he was talking about you, when he told you about that dream.
You were just as foolish now, because how could you not have realized how in love with you he had been, even back then?
The thought that you’ve somehow tainted his dream, is the most excruciating heartbreak you’ve ever felt.
— 💍 —
When Wayne died, you were surprised to find he’d left you what little he had left. Years of grief and hard work could do damage to a heart, and his was more burdened than most.
Steve had helped as you made the arrangements, always the dutiful husband. By your side as you laid Wayne to rest beside Eddie, in that little cemetery you still visited to clean the tombstone which had seen more vandalism than any brick wall in downtown Hawkins. The two of your children who were old enough to stand beside you had clung to your black skirt, while you grieved the fact that they would never get to know how good a man Wayne Munson truly was.
It was a day that had brought back too many memories, and too much grief. Losing Wayne was losing Eddie all over again, because your final tether to that boy had been put in the ground, just like everything else.
You hadn’t realized that it had brought up memories for Steve, too, until it was too late.
Steve was generally a pleasant person, and in all honesty had been your rock for these past seven years. Through the immediate aftermath of day-to-day life without Eddie, to the nights you spent waking up in a cold sweat from the dreams of that night he’d died, Steve had been there. Through everything, he had treated you with this gentle, patient hand, but that night when you emerged into the kitchen of your suburban, white picket-fenced home, the patient, doting Steve was not the same man who sat at your breakfast table with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
“I just put Eddie and the other kids down,” you had gone straight to the sink, moving to wash the dishes from your dinner earlier as you glanced towards your husband.
“His name is Edward,” Steve bit, the bottle in his hands almost empty, “Not Eddie.”
Chewing the inside of your cheek, you abandoned the dishes to march towards him, taking the bottle from his grip before he could bring it to his lips once again, “You really had to try to finish this bottle, today of all days? Wayne just died—!”
Steve reached for it again, snatching it from where you’d set it on the table, only to shrug as he took another swig, “I figured I’d finally take the excuse to.”
“‘Finally?’” you scoffed, placing your hands on your hips, “What is that supposed to mean?”
“You know what it means,” he was angry, despite how his voice remained level, and you couldn’t for the life of you realize why. You’d been so blind.
“You need to put down the bottle, Steve. You’re not making any sense.”
“Maybe I’m just finally thinking clearly,” he starts, the chair scraping against the tile as he pushes back from the table to stand up, moving towards you. “All this time, I’ve had my blinders on. Thinking one day you’ll someday be over Eddie Munson, but it’s been seven years, so that’s never going to happen, is it?” His voice was rising, frustration in his dark eyes, mixing with a hurt that he’d kept from you so perfectly until now. “Shit, Wayne just died, and you’re still carrying that damn torch—”
“You’re drunk, Steve,” the disgust is evident in your voice, as you try to brush off his words with that simple excuse, but he just comes closer.
“And you’re in love with him still! You think I can’t see it?” Steve shouted, reaching out to grip your arm just enough to bring your left hand between the two of you, “You’re wearing his ring!” When you jerked your arm back, he let you go, though the fire in his eyes holds you still, “I’m your husband! Eddie never was!”
“You think I don’t know that, Steve?” the sting of his words drives your own brewing anger, and you’re past regulating your tone, “You think I don’t know that I never got to marry Eddie?!” You didn’t even realize how your words had slipped into the truth, aided by the heat of the moment and your fresh grief, “You make it so hard to love you sometimes, Steve!”
“That’s rich,” he scoffed bitterly, “considering our son is a constant reminder of how much you love Eddie Munson!”
He’s saying things that hurt just for the sake of hurting, but there’s a truth to his own words, just as much as there is to yours, “Don’t you dare act like this is all on me! Eddie was your friend, too, Steve!”
“Yeah, and I wanted you the whole time! I loved you first, don’t you realize that? I was there before him, and I loved you before Munson ever had the chance to,” the ringing in your ears was from more than just how loud the two of you had become, “But he was always your first choice, right? He still is!” Steve’s chuckle is dry, bitter, and you can smell the liquor on his breath as he steps even closer, “Sometimes I wonder, if Eddie had never died, would you have ever even given me a chance?”
“How can you even say that to me?”
“Tell me I’m wrong!” he was begging as much as he was fighting, venom dripping from his words in an attempt for you to feel even a fragment of what he had felt for far too long, “Tell me you’ve ever loved me as much as you loved him!”
You had been so taken back by his words, that you couldn’t say anything at all, but that was perhaps the worst thing you could’ve done.
If looks could kill, Steve’s glare would have buried you in that very moment, “Maybe if I’d been the one to die that day, Eddie would be the one standing here, having to wonder that same thing! I guess it’s a good thing he took the easy way out, becau—”
The sound of your slap had been just as loud as your shouting match, reverberating around the kitchen while his face turned a bright, angry shade of red. The palm of your hand stung, but not as much as the straining pain in your chest did, and as tears softly fell from your eyes, Steve knew he’d gone too far.
Sobered for the moment by your slap, regret washing through the both of you. You hadn’t truly meant to hit him, but you’d done it all the same. He hadn’t meant to say things so cruel, but the words had fallen from his lips with all the loose-tongued rage that liquor could fuel. In the beat that it takes for his dark eyes to cast upon you again, watching you cry in the middle of the kitchen of this house you’ve worked so hard to earn together, part of him wants to apologize, but there’s too much pride— and too much truth to his words, to allow it.
You turned away from him, intent on storming back to your bedroom, but the sight lingering in the open arch to the kitchen stops you in your tracks.
Your oldest son and daughter, standing there with wide, frightened eyes, look back at the two of you. So tiny in the doorway, and yet filled with emotions that were much too big for children of their age. You don’t know how much of your fight they’ve witnessed, but the pit in your stomach only swells at the thought that they’d seen any of it at all.
“What are you two doing up?” wiping your tears, you moved across the tile, picking your daughter up into your arms while you ushered Edward through the doorway, “Let’s get you back to bed.”
A glance was all you spared for Steve, and it was all you needed to see how wrecked he had been by your children's interruption. This wasn’t who either of you wanted to be. You couldn’t be these people you’ve become, not now.
Not when there was more at stake than just your shaky relationship.
He watched you leave the kitchen with the kids, before bringing a hand up to run through his hair, cursing as he leant on the countertop with the weight of the crushing grief that threatened to swallow him whole. When he reflectively brings the bottle up, to take another sip, he pauses, glaring at the amber contents within the glass, before turning towards the sink and dumping the rest of it there.
Eddie Munson’s been dead for years, and somehow he still feels like an obstacle between you.
— 💍 —
You buried Wayne days ago, now, and since then you and Steve have been dancing around the eggshells of the pieces of each other that you had stripped apart in the kitchen that night. Sleeping alone is something you haven’t been used to since before you married Steve, and you don’t like the feeling of the cold space beside you, knowing he’s on the couch instead. You know you can’t keep going on like this, not when there’s a whole life that you have left to live with Steve.
A whole life left to live without Eddie Munson.
Staring down into the drawer of your bed-side table, you take one last lingering glance at the ring there, and all it represents. All the missed chances, and the dreams that had died when Eddie did. Shutting the drawer, you instead reach for the wedding band that Steve had given you that day you’d been all dressed in white, and Robin had cried as your maid of honor.
When had Steve’s dream become your dream? Somewhere in the time you spent grieving the dreams you’d made with Eddie, certainly, but the truth was, you had fit yourself into this life just as easily as Eddie’s mother’s engagement ring had fit on your finger.
You were meant to be here, with Steve, and your little brood of Harringtons. In this life, you had only ever been meant to stand here as Mrs. Harrington. Whatever piece of you that had once wished to be Mrs. Munson would be buried beside him, because you can’t keep fighting for a past that will never exist again.
All you can do now, is hope that you haven’t already messed up the best thing that’s ever happened to you.
The sound of the bedroom door creaking open catches your attention, and you slide your wedding rings back onto your finger. It’s strange, and there’s a bittersweet absence that comes with the lack of your third ring, but the sight of Steve standing in the doorway quells any second-thoughts about what you know you have to do.
He swings the door awkwardly, listening to it squeak again, “I should probably fix that, one of these days.”
You know it’s his way of extending an olive branch. You’ve known him in ways you would never know anyone else, and you don’t want to lose him, all because of your past.
“Yeah,” you murmur softly, shifting on the bed as he comes closer hesitantly. “Hey.”
“Hi,” Steve makes to sit beside you on the bed, hands coming to his knees like if he doesn’t grip them he’ll risk reaching out to you. You haven’t felt this uncertain in years. Taking for granted just how sure you were of him, of how unconditionally he loved you.
You were done doing that.
“Steve, I’m—”
“I’m so—”
You both speak at the same time, words jumbling together until you huff out a chuckle, reaching to take his hand in yours, and he looks down, catching sight of the rings that reside there, “I don’t like fighting with you.”
“Does this mean,” his thumb brushes over your fingers, turning the ring, and the space where Eddie’s had once been, “I can pack my little rucksack and come home?” There’s a shallow tease on his breath, when his brown eyes dart up to catch yours, but there’s a worry in them. That’s what perhaps makes your heart ache the most, because you want to be as certain for him as he’s been for you.
“Yes, Steve. God, I’ve treated you so terribly, without even realizing it,” your voice shakes, and he gives your hand a squeeze with his own. “I love you. You asked me that night if I loved Eddie.” You try to even your voice, “Yeah, I loved him. I loved him with my whole heart, but,” you reach out, catching him by the side of his jaw, stroking your fingers against the fresh shave there, “I love you, too. This life we’ve created together, that’s something Eddie never can give me. You’re my husband, and Eddie…” Trailing off, you swallow thickly, before, “Eddie’s dead.”
“I’m sorry— I don’t want you to feel like I’m giving you some kind of ultimatum,” Steve starts, but you finish his thought before he can.
“There is no ultimatum, Steve. You’re the one here. You’re the one who’s always been here,” you try to fight the tears that well in your eyes, but you can’t help it. “You’re not a second choice. You’re the man I married, and you don’t have to apologize. I’m the one who’s been lost in the past.” Your hand falls from his face, onto the other that he holds, “Sometimes I do still feel like that girl who sat between you and Eddie, that day we were plotting to kill Vecna in his trailer, but I’m not her anymore. I don’t want to be. All I ever want to be now is your wife, and the mom our kids deserve.”
Steve lets out a shaky breath, relief evident on his face as he pulls you into his arms, “I’m sorry.” There’s a heavy emotion in his voice, and you finally let the tears fall as you hold him to you, “I’m so sorry for how I acted.”
“No, I’m sorry,” you pull back, when his lips brush against your forehead, seeing his own tears streaming down his face and reaching up to wipe them away, “I’m sorry for ever making you question the way I feel about you.”
Steve nods, pressing his forehead against yours with shut eyes, “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” you sigh, closing the distance to press your lips against his in a soft, slow kiss that you hope will seal this new chapter in your life with as much certainty as you abandon the last one.
As much as you’ll always have loved Eddie Munson, the version of yourself that you’ve become with Steve’s loving patience is the only life you want to live. At the end of the day, Steve’s the one who made you want to live it.
And you’ll never stop loving him, because he’s the one who saved you, over and over again.
Moving on was easier said than done, but if there was one person you would want by your side through the ugly thick and thin of it, it’s Steve Harrington.

hello i have le question. who is your favourite tf2 mercenarie
Hello Heough! My favorite for quite some time has been the Engineer! I love the emotion shown in his Meet the Team short despite his laidback nature. I love his newest cosmetics from the summer update - they really suit him well! Even with the development of my oc Darnell, I get to think about how Dell is written as a character and how he and Darnell would interact on the job (i think about these two constantly!). AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT LIL POOTIS SEASON 2 PREMIERE!! I think about that specific Engie all the time, how it took a completely different interpretation of Dell and still made it believable to the actual character (Dell is such a versatile character i love it).
Though I do think I’m going back to liking Scout again as my favorite merc. I’ve seen a lot of SFMs and other memes and shorts with him lately, and its so funny to see how people would interpret in modern day. The accent is also a plus! I love quoting him at random points of the day - the accent is just so fun to do! You even feel like a Scout when you’re doing it!
However, I’m slowly starting to realize the potential of Sniper being my favorite. Throughout the years, Ive fallen for each class at least once, but somehow never could see myself liking sniper as my favorite. Sure, he’s super cool and professional at his job, you cant deny that, but something was always missing. I’d see every go crazy for him, and i just wouldn’t understand why exactly. Id see sniperscout shippers thirsting over sniper and wonder ‘whats that all about’ (in a good way tho). After rewatching the Meet the Sniper short a bunch of times tho recently, I felt a sort of realization, and a little more of a connection to his character (not much, but enough for me to like him a little bit more than before). Something about his standoff nature always perturbed me before, but now Im slowly starting to unravel the mystery of his character. (Not to mention im also starting to see more SFMs with him in it). Maybe also one day finishing the comics will help me to better understand his character, but for now i just think he’s pretty cool.
Similar to sniper, I’m also starting to realize the potential of medic. Yeah, i kinda liked him before when i first started getting into tf2, but i think that was bc most content was made about him and being shown everywhere. Like you’d find fanart online and it’d be a chibi medic or a medic with slicked back hair or something (lol the 2 genders of fanart). Still, in a way, i never could understand the character more than what people thought of him at the time: “sexy doctor that is covered in blood but also kawaii when heavy is around”. Though, once again, im going through content again and love seeing the character development within all sources of media (i think emesis blue also made me like it bc of his struggle with the events going on around him :p). Still, babysteps when it comes to liking characters i suppose. (The recent SFMs ive seen with him tho are amazing).
But if we’re talking about Soldier, oh man oh man. HE IS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST AND MOST COMPLEX CHARACTERS IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY. Every day i learn something new about him. I love his gruff voice, similar to scout, you’re just compelled to do it all the time cause its so fantastic and comical. I ALSO JUST READ THE SCREAM FORTRESS COMIC FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR HALLOWEEN AND HE’S HILARIOUS IN IT HELLO?!?! Love his dynamic with everyone in that one, he’s such a fricking man child i love it. For the past few days ive been thinking about his scenes in that. Absolutely love it. The SFMs and memes of him are super funny, AND THE RENDITION OF HIM IN EMESIS BLUE IS SO COOL, I DIDNT EXPECT ALL THAT TRAUMA TO HAPPEN TO HIM. Not to mention the workshop taunts i see of him are absolute gold, star spangled strategy will always live in my head rent free. CAN WE ALSO TALK ABOUT HIM IN EXPIRATION DATE PLEASE?! He is so funny in that one, every scene with him in it is hilarious, people are even pointing out new things i havent even noticed before years later. If i could, i would be Soldier tf2. I wanna be him so bad.
Uhhhh the other mercs are also really cool, but i havent made that much of a connection to them, though i will say when they have their moments, they truly shine through. Every day I learn something new about tf2, and it always throws me for a ride.
Lol sorry about the long post, can you tell I like these guys a lot?

The past is a happy place
Caution : this is a theory based on some psychics (I’ve linked the sources) and my gut feeling from the song tis the damn season and the fact that she wrote it when she was drunk (aaron said something like this) and the sheer rawness of the song. (and maybe this is also projecting) I have been thinking about this a lot lately and I just wanted to mention this cause 2 people , 3 times have almost mentioned this. Take everything with a grain of salt please as I myself don’t believe in everything psychics say cause they all talk about possibilities. this is a theory and I mean no harm or shade to anyone. And if you are planning on reading, this will be LONG
https://youtu.be/rHfQb5N4U7I?t=335 ( secret crush) (click and you’ll know what I’m talking about)
https://youtu.be/nktwP_c085c?t=272 (an ex she keeps checking on)) (click and you’ll know what I’m talking about)
So, I always thought celebs tend to reminsce the time before they got famous as a good time because fame takes their ‘normal’ away. So, they tend to idealize their past. Everything I say next will be based on this mostly so buck up!(if you plan on reading, obviously)
Maybe during re recordings she remebered these feelings again maybe (ik , I heard it but it’s just a thought ) about that person in her home town.
Maybe she kept thinking about the ‘what ifs’ . that ‘normal’ that she rejected. That road not taken. That innocent times of being in love when you don’t worry about anything. I feel she still idealizes that as ‘perfect love’ or ‘looks real good now’ or ‘the warmest bed’
So, when she was in an actual, her reality’s lifestyle adult relationship and they had problems (lmao lbr nothing is perfect . not fighting or having no arguments ever is as abnormal as picking fights without reasons) she kept thinking if she was in her hometown maybe.. Just maybe things.. Would be.. Simple. And innocent. That’s why we never forget these young love moments. Those are the simpler times.
So while I think she was ready to settle, she had her doubts. And joe knew about them. I feel, he at least got a hint of that .
Besides she seems like bit of a commitmentphobe to me.(imo, and idt it’s her fault for being a bit)
Because lbr, after paper rings, it’s hard to think joe wouldn’t think about proposing (he doesn’t strike me at all as commitmentphobe but he maybe a bit too specially where his career is rn kinda normal) and if he didn’t propose after that! They must have talked about it or the relationship wouldn’t go on for almost 4 more years after lover. (I am aware of her wanting kids and wanting to get married since forever but something always seemed off to me )
So whenever there were fights or something needing to be sorted out she went back to those ‘we were happy’ idealizations.
Now about this ‘ex she checks on’ , ‘ secret crush she has’ mentioned by antphrodite (sp?) in the first two vids and ‘ a person from work she has a crush on’ from that blog I linked could be anyone, but tis the damn season kinda gave me vibes like it could be a normal person who will become the person she needs and wants to be with. (i’m not ruling out joe either) . that or not, it’s defs not matty (idk how the blogger I linked got the idea that matty is gonna be a good person all on a sudden, he doesn’t even seem to understand what he did was wrong and people can be hurt by people’s words. I mean someone from work doesn’t essentially have to matty. Look at their compatibility! Harry is more compatible with her! And harry is her least compatible ex if not conner )
Please be reasonable. And idk or think the guy she has a crush on is compatible either tho.judging by my theory , he is a normie. And that will never work for her. Period. She’ll always endure a lil bit of fame (also who knows if the other person can take her everything.yk) now if this guy can make her literally hide with him , maybe . or she wants to stop all of it just sit somewhere and make occasional music. Or maybe they could work! Who knows?!
But I feel he is just not compatible with her . but she keeps thinking back and forth bout him cause she just can’t let go of the ‘road not taken’ and her ‘what ifs’
Also her way of moving on is weird. She gets into rlts real quickly after one (never leave well enough alone) ,lbr. Which can lead to having a lot of unresolved issues with her exes and , the biggest one, herself. That may be a barricade to let someone actually completely be just a happy memory i.e. letting someone go. Cause lbr, if you have unresolved issues about a rlt , these thoughts may come back and what ifs too! She is not a very ‘owning up’ person , so there is that. She needs to sort things big time actually.

Please tell me what you think of Rings of Power. I am deeply suspicious of it (haven’t seen it yet) and yours is the only opinion I trust
Okay, so, is it a greatly-written fantastic show that lives up to Tolkien’s books and Peter Jackson’s adaptations in terms of quality? No. Is it as shitty a hellfire that it deserves to rot in a dark damp cell as we previously thought it would be? Also no.
The writing sucks mostly and it comes across a little contrived where I think they’re going for “deep” and “insightful” in some cases, and they really have some weird ass storylines developing (they basically wrote Celeborn out with a “idk man he went to war and never came back anyway what you doing later tonight g” line) but I can almost understand that as they don’t have rights to a lot of the source material.
The dialogue is cheesy and feels like CBS-level writing sometimes, but honestly if you don’t take it too seriously a little cheese is good for the soul.
The characters themselves are actually pretty good. They didn’t just go for the classic “elf falls in love with mortal girl” trope that could otherwise be applied to a thousand terrible fanfictions, but rather “immortal elf shares deep mutual respect and affection for mortal woman and doesn’t enforce said emotions onto said mother and her son, but rather respects their boundaries and presents himself as an otherwise great partner and healthy step-father figure to this young soldier boy), and other relationships are also well done, such as Elrond and Durin.
Elrond himself in this adaptation is actually fantastic despite the short hair and is so genuinely hitting all the marks that he almost reminds me of book Elrond more than Hugo, but both are amazing in the roles for the different parts of Elrond’s life they’re depicting.
Hated Galadriel at first because she was your typical overly-done girlboss but she’s gotten some good development towards the end
Adar is a dilf and fuck everyone the man makes some political sense, he’s just the accidentally elected leader of his people and is tryna find a home for them, go off king but uh the volcano is a bit much
Nori is essentially Frodo in this timeline but she’s cool and I dig her vibe and every big story needs that Luke Skywalker boy from next door character to ground it so I really like the Harfoot story
Uhhh im running out of things to talk about
Oh yeah everything happening in Numenor is awesome, the set looks great and the characters are fantastic. BRB crying about Isildur knowing what happens to him but he’s so young and optimistic and full of life in this story, also just realised he’s totally gonna meet Elrond in this show because they become lava buds later
Idk if this is actually a helpful answer anymore I’m just ranting while I wait for my tea to cool
Halbrand is hot and I’m sincerely hoping he’s Sauron like everyone thinks he is
But look, at the end of the day, Amazon has got so much money they’re gonna keep making this thing. They’re already filming season 2.
The season finale is this week and there’s only 8 episodes a season all together. It’s accessible (from a piracy point of view) and a nice little break every Friday you can treat yourself to
The world already sucks so if you wanna escape into fresh scenes of Middle-earth just tune in every Friday, fuck what everyone thinks man you just gotta do you, if you wanna watch it, give it a go, it’s not great but it’s not terrible either

Heeey Storm....so today I listened to declacomania on a loop because I'm sad and I don't think I've ever paid attention to the lyrics before....but damn...I've tried to search if you talked about it in your masterlist but I can't seem to find it...
The lyrics of declacomania and his raw voice makes it so intense,intimate,personal....basically my ask is if you can talk about it..I'd love to hear your opinions and if you think it's related to MinGukkie😊
I haven't talked about it before, no. But it is insanely beautiful and the lyrics are so sad honestly too at times. I think the song is incredibly personal and honestly I don't think it has anything to do with anyone other than himself. He said he wrote the song for himself too, so I'm pretty sure he was speaking to himself with those lyrics. We don't know for sure, because he has never told us, so it's just interpretations at this point.
He posted the song on Twitter under his selca. His selca (above) was captioned "thank you for making me happy" and the song was posted captioned "please look forward to it"
During Seasons Greetings 2020, Namjoon gave JK the award and talked about how he wrote Decalcomania by himself and for himself during the year 2019:
Decalcomania, for those who don't know, is a decorative technique by which engravings may be transferred to pottery or other materials. In Korean, it can also mean two people who look a lot alike.
So if we get into what my possible interpretation is of these lyrics, I'd say it's him dealing with the possible insecurities he has being the "golden maknae." And trying to live up to that image all the time. I think the lyrics are him talking to himself. In the Break the Silence documentary, Jungkook said "People call me the ”Golden Maknae”, but that’s not how i feel, so i have to try harder to make myself appear that way." He also talked about those feelings during Festa 2019, the same year he wrote and released Decalcomania. He was asked to differentiate between him as an individual and his on stage persona, and he said:
I think a lot of this song might be him trying to deal with his thoughts and own inner conflicts of being Jungkook of BTS, and Jeon Jungkook, the person from Busan. And even just the pressure he feels from outside sources and himself to live up to that Golden Maknae title. I think a lot of these lyrics that address someone, is him talking to himself.
"When I see you smile in the screen. You're good at everything. You're just perfect. Feels like I've never been you."
It very much feels like he is talking to himself, the JK of BTS who he watches on playback screens or in videos they do or in recordings of their stages. He strives to always do better than his best, giving 120% to everything he does because he never wants to disappoint anyone. But perhaps feeling like it's not enough anyways and it's not always who he truly is. In the Bring the Soul docu series, he also spoke about how JK the performer and JK the person feel very different to him. And how he is now trying to reconcile those differences, and bring those 2 halves of himself closer together. To be the same on and off the stage.
"Do you even see me? Do you know who I am? Or how do I look now? You don't like me like that."
I personally interpreted these lines as his worry and fear over how this merging of his true self into his stage persona, into how he presents himself to the world, into this journey of figuring out exactly who he is as a whole, would be accepted by their fans. Would people still love him as he changed aspects of himself to be more true to who he feels like he really is? The hair changes, the tattoos, his clothing choices, being more expressive about his personal choices, etc. Earlier in 2019 too, he posted some of his art, including the statement "I'm Still Me" that he drew into it. I really think 2019 was a big year of self discovery and growth for JK as he leaned into being as true to him as he could be.
I think being true to himself is something that is very important to him, as it should be. Later on in 2019, he started his tattoo sleeve, he started living a lot more unapologetically. I think a lot of this was him acknowledging his fame, everything they did to achieve all the amazing things they have. And wanting to make sure he doesn't lose himself either. Finding who he is as a person in the midst of all the idol fame too. He wants to be the same person he is on the stage, that he is off stage. Basically I think the song lyrics hint at JK addressing the different sides of himself, who he feels he truly is, the more vulnerable side and the perfect side you would often see on stage.
Part of me likes to think that the reason he never released the full song officially and deleted the files is because he doesn't feel like that as much anymore. Because he does feel more like he is living authentically and being accepted for it. Not caring as much what people think or say about him. Feeling for the most part like he can be his true self on and off the stage, that he is perfect and is golden, even if he messes up and can embrace human "imperfections" as part of what makes him amazing. I think we saw an example of that when he was able to laugh off and still enjoy himself after making a mistake in the butter choreo during PTD Concerts. He didn't seem to be upset about it at the time at all. Which is something we know used to really beat himself up over too.
It is a very intense, intimate and personal song. JKs voice is beautiful and emotional and really gets that across well along with his lyrics. This is honestly really just my personal opinions and interpretations over the song. I do think that it seems clear the song is for him though, not anyone else. What he meant or was wanting to say, what emotions he was feeling, well only he knows. This is just my rambling thoughts, not confirmed fact. Maybe one day JK will share more over it, who knows. Until then, everyone is free to relate to/interprete the song in a way that makes the most sense to them I guess too. So you are all free to agree or disagree here as you will. Lol
Thanks for the ask! Hope my thoughts all made sense even if it was rambling a bit.

Eki on Vroid 2
Did more Eki on Vroid to show more interactions with @hyperforcereignition's Mila.
"Wha-?! Who?!"- Eki's reaction to Mila's first appearance in her universe, casually minding her own business as she was getting a drink from a nearby vending machine when Mila suddenly appeared.
With both girls confused and Mila starts panicking, Eki calms down first and states that they're heading the Hyperforce team for help. This would be what would start the conversation.
"Go Chiro! Go Skyper!"- Eki cheering her Chiro and Skyper on in a fight. She has a lot of confidence in Chiro which gets to Chiro's head sometimes as he shows off. No wonder people think they're dating....
"Why do you call Chiro 'Ichi'?"- Eki curious of the source of Mila's nickname as in 'Hunted Butterfly' Chiro's full name is 'Chiro Takashi'.
Mila would explain and Eki would be all 'Cool' before carrying on, she does think the nickname is cute.
"Be careful! Skyper doesn't like being touched by strangers!"- Eki warning Mila since Skyper will lash out when he's touched by strangers as an act of self-defence.
Skyper will warm up to Mila quicker than the others since Eki trusts her and that the new woman has Chiro's scent, earning Skyper's curiousity since Chiro has never mentioned a woman like her before. But her appearance certainly reminds him of something he's already seen...
"It's called being alert, not being tetchy."
"You're still being mean to Miss Mila!"
"...."
"I suppose we have been a bit... Unwelcoming... But we have been more concern about what could have brought Miss Hanamura to our realm."
"Knowing our luck, it probably has something to do with Dark Ones or Skeleton King."
"The 'Dark Reaper' and I would have sensed it if that was the case, surely it would have told you?"
"It's not talkative remember?"
"..."
"Can you please be nicer to her though? She really wants to go home and never wanted any of this."
"That is true... Very well, I will abide by your request."
*Sigh* "Fine... Don't expect me to engage to much with her though, or be completely fine with her talking to Otto!"
"Thank you..."
*Mischievous chuckle* "Jealousy thy name Chrome~"
*Glares* "Can it eight-eyes! It's bad enough I'm going soft..."
Mila overhearing a conversation between Eki, Chrome and Salem (Mila had yet to meet him since he was busy) as they talk about what could have brought Mila to their universe. Due to Chrome and Salem's personal experiences, they are naturally alert and trying to logic what could have caused these events.
Chrome and Otto are dating which Mila wouldn't be aware of at this point so Chrome was very distasteful of her talking to 'Hunted Butterfly' version of Otto.
(Colour coded: black for Chrome, purple for Eki, and blue for Salem)
Although this could be Eki questioning what Mila said about the Skull Witch, having no idea on who she is.
"Glad to hear that you and Antauri are on good terms.... But... What Skull Witch? Who's Valina?"
'Hunted Butterfly' is set during what would have been season 5 of 'Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!' so Valina is long gone and Eki wasn't told about her since the others didn't consider it to be her concern.
Mila wouldn't have a clue to the time jump but I feel that she would be relieved that Valina isn't around.
"There ye are little butterfly!"
"Huh?"
"Hey there!"
"Dear, you shouldn't yell so loudly. You'll scare people."
"Can't help it babe!"
"Azure! Ruby!"
"Hey sweetheart." *Looks over at Mila* "So this is the guest that Chrome was talking about?"
*Quietly* "She's an adult, right? She hardly looks older than Chiro..."
*Nods* "This is Mila Hanamura."
"Is dat so?" *Grins and gives the finger guns* "Well, the name's Ruby Mace! And this my husband, Azure Spear!"
"Its nice to meet you." *Kindly smiles*
Mila meets Azure Spear and Ruby Mace, the married monkeys who give advice for relationships and personal problems to the team. They learnt about Mila's presence through Chrome so they went to find her to make their acquaintance.
Mila might be shocked to hear marriage from these two as they show their wedding rings.
(Colour coded: red for Ruby, purple for Eki and blue for Azure)
"How long do you suppose this will this last?"
"Too long..."
"Salem? Tech?"
"Hey dear...."
"They're at it again?"
"Sadly yes. Knowing my brother, he'll find try to find a reason for this whole mess that has nothing to do with the Power Primate."
"Sometimes it's hard to believe that he's set a good example to his goddaughter..."
"I think we'll get going...."
"Yeah, good idea! Sometimes it's hard to believe that they're both adults!"
Chrome and Antauri have always butted heads over the Power Primate; One hates it while the other does not. So when they're trying to figure out how Mila got to their universe, it ended up into an argument.
It shouldn't be new at this point but it is annoying, especially when they have guests. Mila would meet Tech here and learn that Chrome surprisingly has a brother let alone a goddaughter.
(Colour coded: blue for Salem, green for Tech and purple for Eki)
"... At least... You knew your mommy..."- Through conversations about Mila's upbringing, Mila would learn about Eki's past...
Eki doesn't know her father, barely remembers her mother, was a prisoner of a madman known as Professor Gadhavi, her bionics were forcefully infused into her by said madman at a young age and she's constantly living in fear of him getting her.
Skyper would be with them, the little guy is in tune to Eki's emotions so he would be trying to comfort her while lowkey glaring at Mila for bringing up the topic. But not full on hating her since she didn't know.
This could be Eki copying one of Mila's moves or just trying to be cool like Chiro.
That's all for now. If I get more ideas, I'll do more
