The Jedi Way:
Tumblr media
A quick oneshot for Anakin Skywalker! Might do a pt2 depending... Ok I did - here it is.
Summary: Anakin questions the war and his place in it, you interrupt him and try to calm him down, it does not work, he just gets wound up...
Warnings: MATURE, almost smut, dub!con kiss, angst, jedi heresy, etc.
Word count: 1,070
Anakin wasn't quite sure how he had ended up here, but he wasn't upset about it. For the first time in a long time, the world had gone quiet, and he relished the feeling. It was far too often these days that the Force became too loud for him to concentrate, for him to function. He knew it was becoming a problem but wasn't sure how to fix it. He also wasn't willing to think about it now, not when he had finally gotten some peace.
Rain was falling outside of the windows at the Jedi Temple where Anakin had returned just days before. He hadn't yet been assigned another mission, and he hadn't yet asked either. His head still buzzed with energy and fire from the days before; he'd been finding it hard to breathe, hard to focus. It was by accident that he arrived at the edge of the gardens, looking out of the large window at the end of the pavilion. He acknowledged that it might have been a habit from his days as a Padawan.
His master was always keen on this room, always brought Anakin here to practice meditating. The humidity was slightly comforting to Anakin in its warmth.
Perhaps he should try meditating. Anakin was usually so restless, but recently, he just felt tired. Tired of the war.
"Anakin?"
Of course, it was you; you always had the ability to find him. Anakin turned with a small smile on his face. "Where did you come from?"
"Master Plo and I just landed; he is doing a debrief with the Council, and, I fear, picking up another mission."
"So you're on a layover?"
"Practically. What are you still doing here? I thought the Hoth offensive ended days ago?"
He looked down at his hand; the blurry memory of blood and ash turned them red and marked in his mind. He cringed slightly and pocketed his hands in his cloak. "Yeah, well, I'm sure I'll be off again soon too."
His shoulders were uncharacteristically slumped. It had been a while since you had seen your childhood friend but surely this change in demeanour was wrought by something…
“Anakin, what's wrong?”
In that moment, he made a conscious choice: to tell the truth. Maybe you would understand. If any one could… ”It’s been a long war."
You reached across to him and grabbed his hand, standing beside him much closer and staring out of the window into the storm. Battle fatigue was common, you had seen it in many of your clone forces in the past months. You sighed and attempted to reassure him, to give him some of your spirit and strength, whatever remained you would share with him.
"I know you're tired—"
"I'm not tired.” His voice was stony, stubborn, frustrated.
"I know the last few trips have been hard—"
"It's not just the last few trips."
"I know."
"Do you? I thought you would but now I wonder. How can you, and I, and everyone else know and let it continue… Why are you asking me questions? It is so obvious what is wrong.” Anakin's voice grew in volume as he continued, "The Jedi Council—"
"Anakin, stop talking."
"No, I have to. I have to speak. How can you not? How can you stand there and look at me like I'm crazy? I'm not crazy. You have to know this has gone too far." He was looking down at you now, almost challenging. He edged toward you, and you shuffled backward through reflex. “Something has to be done, some decisive action taken. There is a reason the war is continuing for so long, it isn’t an accident.”
"Anakin, you scare me sometimes. The things you say…"
Anxiety now flushed through Anakin's system. A horrible icy cold of misunderstanding, because you didn't get it. You were far too caught up in the Council's propaganda, you hadn't experienced the things that he had.
"What about the things I do? All I want is for the council to listen, to think about what I say. They exclude me but have I done anything wrong?" He was expectant, he was insistent.
"Not yet. But you’re going somewhere dangerous. And there are some lines you should not cross.”
And suddenly, you weren't talking about the war. You were talking about the air between your bodies, the unlit spark, the quiet buzz which surrounded the two of you whenever you were alone.
He searched your eyes for a minute, angry and determined to make you see. Make you realise. And suddenly, he kissed you. His hand immediately came up to grip your face, pull you toward him. His lips were hot and all-consuming in their hunger. It took a moment for your mind to awaken to your reality, and you shoved him away violently.
"What do you think you're doing!?”
His lips were red and swollen, so were yours, you assumed. He didn't seem the slightest bit put out by your rejection.
"I'm doing what I have to do to make you understand. Don't tell me you've never thought of it; I know you have. I've felt it."
You bristled and blushed, ”I'm sure I don't know what you mean. Anakin, please…"
"Say that again." Now he moved back toward you with a dangerous, devilish look in his eye, backing you up against the window as you unsteadily attempted to push him off. One meek hand rested on his chest.
"It isn't the Jedi way…"
You were looking down at your fingers splayed on his chest in fickle protestation. His beautiful muscled chest.
"Let me teach you the Jedi way.”
As Anakin's lips hovered tantalisingly close to yours, a storm of emotions raged within you. Your heart pounded, and you felt a heat rise in your cheeks. The rain outside the window intensified, matching the tumultuous uncertainty inside the pavilion.
You took a deep breath and tried to gather your thoughts. Anakin's persistent advances had caught you off guard, but you couldn't deny the undeniable attraction that had simmered beneath the surface for years. The unspoken tension between you and Anakin, your fellow Jedi, had grown to a breaking point.
His intense gaze bore into your eyes, demanding a response. The connection between you two, an unspoken bond formed through countless missions and shared experiences, had reached a pivotal moment.
He leaned in again and you couldn’t help but to surrender.

Kind of a sequel to this post based off AU art done by @chiliger
-------
"...nearly made him jump 20 feet into the air. He was not amused."
The laughter that filled the air was loud enough to cover the snort of amusement that Cody let out as he sipped his drink.
"I hope you got a vid of that, Kenobi never gets scared as far as I know." Wolffe sat forward with a grin, his elongated canines startling some nearby natborns that were passing by 79's. It wasn't often a lot of the commanders were on Coruscant at the same time, and in honor they were gifted the expansive table that overlooked the street and hyperlane outside the bar.
"Oh yea, copied it the second he stalked off to his quarters." Cody chuckled, sitting back with a crack of his neck.
"So, he still talk to you like a nervous shiny when he sees your teeth?" Bly smirked, stealing the last of the bar food that Fox had ordered some time ago.
"Not as much, but if he thinks I don't feel the way he watches me all the time, he's mistaken."
"So...are you going to take your shot?" Fox took a swig of his drink, quite firmly in the drunk-but-not-overly-so department. "Because if not..."
"Don't..." Cody growled, and bares his teeth at Fox as the others giggle and laugh at the display.
"Please, Foxy here has his own prey." Rex snickered from his corner of the table, using Ponds as a support to stay upright. He may or may not have had more than a few drinks, and may or may not be finding this entire situation hilarious. "More than one I've heard too?" Rex is sent into some proper laughter when Fox's much louder growl and bared teeth silences a few nearby tables, officers and various troopers freezing as they seemingly await some sort of standoff before realizing it had nothing to do to them. A quick glanced shows that Fox is focused on someone at his table and not on any of them, and slowly conversation resumes save the occasional look their way.
It was never wise to be around a higher ranked officer when they're facing off over someone they had feelings for.
"Careful Rex, might end up arrested until you're sober." Bly snickered, and Fox snorts in amusement as he relaxes back into his seat.
"I am just Fox right now, and I am going to keep drinking until I forget what the GAR is." Fox waved for a fresh round, Cody patting his shoulder with a nod.
"Then let's keep the stories coming eh? Maybe scare some of the others again. Should get you plenty drunk eh?"
Fox grinned, and raised his glass with a hum.
By the end of the night they're the last ones in 79's, so drunk and unaware the music had died down and people had left they failed to see a group of amused men sitting at the main bar.
"How much longer do you think it'll take?" Anakin Skywalker grinned, sipping a water as he watched the commanders burst into laughter about something.
"A few minutes, Ponds appears to be slowly falling asleep." Plo Koon hummed, using the bar as a seat in his meditation pose.
"I do hope so." Obi-Wan Kenobi was trying very hard not to blush as he listened to Cody talk about an encounter they had shared a few weeks ago. Mace Windu was staring at him, and he was going to be damned if he let the man have a single inch of blackmail material via his reaction.
"What, all the glittering teeth over there setting you off?" Anakin snorted into his drink, jumping out of the way when a bar stool is thrown in his direction. The noise attracted the attention of the drunken crew, who finally seemed to realize that there were Jetti in a very empty bar, and attempt to stand at attention.
Instead, Bly and Wolffe trip over their own feet, and without Fox and Rex grabbing them, they would have fallen flat on their faces.
"At ease, at ease." Plo chuckled, moving to stand as the group stumble their way down towards the bar. "We thought you may want some assistance, you all are quite inebriated."
"That means drunk." Bly snickered, and everyone but Wolffe starts giggling as their Jetti watch on with some soft chuckles among them.
"Come, you can stay in the Temple tonight, it's much closer than your barracks." Windu waved his hand to start turning off the last of the lighting the owners had left on, Plo and Anakin becoming some support for the drunk men to remain upright. Cody suspiciously was the closest to Obi-Wan, hugging the man from behind and all but melding them together.
"Hello sir." Obi-Wan is very aware that Cody is dragging his feet, the others already out the door by the time the two of them had made it even halfway across the room. "Didn't see you waiting for us."
"It's quite alright." Obi-Wan coughed, nearly jumping again when Cody presses his face against his neck. "Cody?"
"Mhm?"
"May I ask why you're uh, so close to my neck?" Obi-Wan bites his tongue when he feels Cody hum, the noise rumbling in his chest.
"No reason." The clone purred, and mumbles something Obi-Wan can't catch.
"Come, there should be a vehicle for us to use." Obi-Wan knows the others have already gone, and is grateful that Mace in particular isn't there to tease him. He goes to say something else, but whatever words that were forming in his mind are suddenly scattered when Cody presses a kiss to his neck. The man is letting his canines purposefully drag as he kisses a trail along Obi-Wan's shoulder, pushing away thoughts of wanting to do more as he finally pulls away from his flustered general.
"Coming general?" The drunken man grinned, stepping around so he could get a look at the wide-eyed Jetti.
"....you are an absolute bastard." Obi-Wan's voice is strained as the two finally leave the bar, Obi-Wan locking the door as Cody stumbles to the nearby speeder. "Passenger seat Comm-dear."
Now it was his turn to see the way Cody looked back, reminding him of a fresh-faced solider the way he stumbles into the passenger side of the speeder.
Obi-Wan is grinning the entire ride to the Temple, and Cody has his face in his hands at being the one to be an embarrassed mess upon their arrival.
Oh well, there's always next time.

Scars (Commander Wolffe x Jedi Reader) Part 1
Tumblr media
Words: 2.7k Warning: Implied injury - stubborn, suspicious Wolffe - Bit of fluff Pronouns Use: She/Her - (Y/N)
Everything seemed normal enough when (Y/N) arrived at the temporary military base the 104th and Master Plo had set up. The command center had the perfect tactical advantage, a view of the battlefield, but at a safe distance, it couldn't be easily attacked. A perimeter had been set up, with an airfield, ensuring all those coming and going would be safe. Next to the commander center were the barracks, mess hall, medbay, and weapons depo, all perfectly organized.
Plo had met (Y/N) at her designated landing bay; he greeted his former padawan in a similar manner to his warm greeting to Ahsoka. Full of care, fatherly and warm. His words to follow the same and filled with gentleness and wise advice. Almost as if he knew there would be an instant coldness between his former Padawan and his trusted Commander. After all, Wolffe had made his destain almost hatred for the Children of Dathomir plain, and (Y/N) would be the first Night Sister he would truly be dealing with since Ventress had taken his eye.
The hours after her arrival hadn't been much trouble either. Wolffe hadn't been seen, normally preoccupied with other tasks that come with being Commander. On the other hand, the other troopers had greeted her with friendliness and curiosity. Boost, Comet, and Sinket had been the first three to approach, neither of them being afraid to voice their questions or try their hand at flirting. One by one, others came by with a hello and the intention of introducing themselves; neither one acted like she was any different from the other Jedi they worked with. Instead, the one to point out her obvious Dathomirian features was the Civvi Medic assigned to the 104th; the other Wolffe seemed to avoid like the plague or growled if they had to interact. Although to be fair, the petite woman did seem to avoid the commander just as much, normally shaking with fear and likely unspoken judgment when attending to him.
When the afternoon was slowly turning to dusk, (Y/N) left the safety of the perimeter, hoping to find a quiet area nearby to meditate; being extremely attuned to the force, the unheard voices were loud in the base, as were the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. (Y/N) clumsiness had led her to discover the unstable ground, leading to cave chasms that went down for miles; the darkness seemed to swallow everything that fell down it, even the glow sticks meant to offer light.
Making a mental note of the undesirable drop and likely death trap hidden within the endless shadows (Y/N) found a flat rocky surface to sit upon; there, she shifted until she was comfortable and began to meditate or attempt it. Within minutes of finding peaceful mindfulness, she had sensed another heading her way, navigating the minefield of unstable ground and dropping to uncertainty. Upon realizing the approaching intruder wasn't someone she recognized, she instinctively reached for her lightsabers, prepared to defend herself if needed, although she had hoped it wouldn't get that far.
As if sensing something was off, (Y/N) opened her eyes, surveying the area in her proximity, although she did not see anything out of the ordinary. The rocks from the nearby cliff rushed down the drop from the wind left behind by the passing ships; the land around seemed to stretch for miles, and the droid army seemed to be struggling to rebuild their own commander center far into the distance. A planned surprise attack was unlikely to be on their agenda just yet.
"Careful, the ground ..." started (Y/N), finally seeing who the intruder was. Commander Wolffe. His low growls had cut off her line of thought and subsequent words. His stiff shoulders and crossed arms over his chest made it clear he wasn't in the mood to converse with her. Although it was rather obvious, he followed her. The question was whether that was entirely out of concern, suspicion, or something else.
"You left the base," he stated, his voice direct and to the point, although void of all emotion, matching his cold demeanor.
"Well noticed," (Y/N) replied, failing to stop the sarcasm before it could fall from her lips. Although she held back the chuckle that threatened to follow it upon sensing the eye roll, Wolffe sent her from beneath his modified helmet.
"Why?" asked the commander, although frustration and annoyance rang through his voice this time, once again suggesting he'd literally rather be anywhere but in her presence.
"To meditate," she commented, returning the annoyance and frustration presented to her, although the Jedi Knight at least tried to keep a neutral expression, even in the face of judgment and unwarranted hostility. "I'm not fretting with the enemy, Commander. I just needed quiet; the emotions and voices can be overwhelming."
"That's what your quarters are for," he uttered in a quick response, drawing an eye roll from (Y/N) as she climbed down from her position on the flat lump of rocks. Refusing to utter another word, she began to walk away from the Commander, further away from the base, hoping to find another quiet place to continue her meditation. A sigh quickly escaped her upon sensing Wolffe was once again following her, although this time only a few feet behind.
"Woah!" yelled Wolffe upon the ground, cracking and giving away like thin ice the moment he stomped on it. He expected to fall helpless into the darkness, but instead, he'd stopped in mid-air, just dangling. The force someone was using the force to prevent him from falling to certain doom. Immediately, Wolffe presumed it was General Plo, the ever-caring fatherly figure. Confusion took over when Wolffe looked up to see (Y/N) trying her hardest to use her power to bring him to safety, a concentrated look painted on her features, determination mixed in. "It's cracking," called the Commander upon noticing the ground beneath her about to give way.
But by the time his words reached her, both of them were falling. All Wolffe could do was flay his limps and yell out as the darkness swallowed him. He hit several rocks and other hard surfaces on the way down before the fall ended with a loud, wet splash into the freezing waters of an underground lake. He soon climbed out of the water, resting on the rocky bank, looking up with the hope of seeing daylight, only to be met with the unyielding darkness that seemed to go on forever. With a heavy, frustrated sigh, he began to assess the damage to his armor. The chest plate had been cracked, and a shoulder and forearm plate shattered to the point of being unless.
Just as he was about to continue, his attention was drawn to the lightsaber lying by the rocks of the bank close by. The hilt was mainly black with silver decoration; it appeared damaged and stained with something. Just as Wolffe was about to question who it belonged to, his heart sank upon recalling the ground cracking.
"Nightsister," called Wolffe, a prang of guilt flooding him as he regretted his refusal to learn her name. "Nightsister," he called again, pushing the fear away when no answer came. However, that sudden wave of fear grew upon noticing the lightsaber hilt was stained with blood. The realization hit him: she was injured and had been by selflessly trying to save him from the fall. Ignoring his own pain and obvious injuries, Wolffe got to wobbly feet and slowly began to shuffle forward across the bank in the hopes of seeing the Jedi who'd tried to prevent his fall.
He hoped she was ignoring him; after all, he'd ignore someone calling him if they treated him as he'd done with her, but the more he searched, the more he called out Nightsister in an attempt to locate her. The feeling of dread gripped him. What if she wasn't ignoring him? Could she be injured? Was she even in the same part of the cave as him? Did she even fall down the chasm in the first place?
"She's not in the cave with you, Wolffe," muttered Wolffe, his voice as cold as the lake he'd landed in. As he began to shiver, about to give up, the commander noticed something. A trail of blood, it was fresh; someone had landed there and was trying to hide, injured. "Nightsister," called Wolffe again, this time softer than before, quieter as if trying to convey he wasn't a threat despite his previous demeanor and actions. "I'm not going to hurt you," he called, realizing if she was injured, she likely believed whomever she was trapped with was trying to harm her. He'd been the same after Ventures had slashed out his eye. Even General Plo was considered an enemy in his mind. Anyone with a lightsaber had been for a short time.
"Wolffe," came a quiet voice, no louder than a whisper. But in the quietness of the cave, it was loud enough for the Commander to hear to locate her. Hearing his name fall from her lips only made his guilt grow. She knew his name and took the time to learn it instead of calling him by his identification number or his rank of Commander. And he'd refused to learn anything about her after learning she was a Child of Dathomir. "Are you hurt?" she asked, her voice heavy with deep breaths filled with pain; she was hurt but refused to admit it.
"Not as bad as you, Ca'tra," answered Wolffe, grimacing as he moved to sit beside her, holding her lightsaber out as if to return it. Slowly, he surveyed the extent of her injuries, almost horrified. Several joints had been dislocated, a large gash stretched across her side, and a nasty laceration now adorned the side of her head. There was little doubt she'd suffered broken bones as well.
"Sorry about your landing," (Y/N) whispered. "It was either that or impaled on the rock spires," she added, lifting a shaky hand to point in the general direction of the spires in question. "There's a small med kit in my pack," she instructed, being thankful she'd been wise enough to have a pack ready for emergencies. Inside was a medical kit, water, ration bars, glow sticks, other forms of light, and another communicator in case the one attached to her arm was damaged.
"Stay awake, Ca'tra," voiced Wolffe, softness beginning to take over, as was the worry and concern. In the minutes since finding her, her eyes had glazed over, and she was slowly losing consciousness. "Talk to me," he added, reaching for the pack and its scattered contents, a renewed sense of determination. She saved him twice in a matter of minutes, with little regard for her own safety or well-being. She suffered because of it. He had to repay the debt he felt he owed her.
"Ca'tra," (Y/N) tiredly responded, confusion just about present through the pain. "What does it mean?" she asked, looking to Wolffe with glazed-over eyes, a grimace quickly flashing across her features upon pain tormenting her further.
"Night sky," admitted Wolffe, deeming it be better to call her that than Nightsister. Especially now when he was beginning to wonder if calling her by Nightsister was offensive in some way. "I don't know your name," he added, shame washing through his whispered voice. Swearing under his breath when he dropped the contents of the medkit, his hands shaking so much from the cold. In his rushed attempt to collect all the items, he hadn't noticed (Y/N) reach for the stem cell injections. Although she did hold out the bacta gel
"(Y/N)," she spoke in response, not arguing when the call of sleep as it became too persistent to fight, too strong to ignore. She hadn't been given the chance to say she liked the small nickname. The small kindness meant something to her, even if it didn't mean anything to Wolffe.
"(Y/N), wake up," called Wolffe upon grabbing her shoulders to shake her. The shakes had been little more than light nudges, hoping to prevent her from falling asleep, but gotten rougher upon the Commander realizing she'd already fallen for the lure of the peaceful oblivion. "You're not getting away from me that easy, Ca'tra," he added, remembering he had the bacta gel. Upon applying a generous amount to her wounds, he turned his attention to his own and his previous task of assessing the damage to his armor.
"Little (Y/N), Commander Wolffe," spoke the wise and welcome voice of Master Plo, concern flooding his otherwise fatherly voice. Wolffe quickly grabbed (Y/N)'s arm, puzzled by how the small communications device was still intact, let alone working. "(Y/N), Wolffe, can either of you hear me?" asked Plo, his voice fuzzy now, as if he'd moved away from the area.
"I read you, General," spoke Wolffe, relief ringing in his own voice, mixing with his concern and pain.
"Are you okay? Is (Y/N) with you?" questioned Plo, likely already realizing the ground had given way. Although where was the question? Once again, Wolffe focused on looking up, hoping to see some sort of light that would say how far down they were, whether from the sky so far above them or the light of a rescue ship. But again, was greeted with nothing but empty darkness.
"We're both pretty banged up; I would have been worse off if she hadn't pushed me out the way," admitted the Commander, thankful for her selflessness but still feeling guilty. Even more so upon the realization hitting him, she'd put herself in far more danger by forcing him away from the spires and towards the freezing lake. "She's currently unconscious and needs immediate medical attention," he added with haste, once again reaching to gently shake her with the hopes she'd wake up, again being met with no response.
"Keep the communicator on; we'll use it to track your position," stated Plo, the authority now ringing in his voice, likely to mask the growing concern and worry for his commander and former padawan.
"Come on, Ca'tra, wake up. Help is coming," started Wolffe, finally removing his helmet and allowing his eyes to adjust to the dim light of the glow sticks. Finally, he noticed his visor had been broken during the fall and a gash towards the bottom of the scraped helmet. "Why did you save me? Why would you risk your own life like that? I'm just a clone; only my brothers and General Plo would care if something happened to me," he mumbled, not hearing the ow to escape (Y/N)'s lips or even notice she'd barely regained consciousness.
"Wrong. I care," she whispered with a broken voice, startling the Commander trapped with her.
"But ... but I was cold to you ... harsh ... unfair," stammered Wolffe as he attempted to put his scrambled thoughts into words and overcome the shock; not only had she heard his words but answered with the last thing he'd expected to hear. She cared despite everything.
"I know," replied (Y/N), trying her hardest to show her understanding. "I understand why you were quick to judge me. Fear can be cruel even to the toughest of men. I do not blame you for it. No one does. That was your way of dealing with the trauma, to ensure it wouldn't happen again," she replied, recalling her similar response to trauma as a child. She'd been incorporated into the order the same year Anakin Skywalker had joined the Jedi. She was ignored and judged with fear because of something she had no control over.
She'd lost everything, and just when she had settled into what would be her new life. Things had gotten worse; someone had taken her from the temple and hurt her. Someone she should have been able to trust. Her rescuers had been far kinder. A pair of renowned bounty hunters, Cad Bane and Jango Fett. They saw her as the scared and broken child she was rather than the threat she'd been treated as.
"I lost trust in the council a long time ago. Blamed myself for what happened," she breathed in response; a pained chuckle escaped her lips upon seeing the confusion written across Wolffe's bruised features. "If it wasn't for the efforts of Master Plo and a few others. I likely wouldn't be civil with the majority of them," admitted (Y/N), although refusing to relive what happened all those years ago by talking about it. Not that she could. Chancellor Palpatine had locked all files about the incident and her life before the Jedi. Reasoning it was for her own safety and to prevent what happened repeating again.

Fic where deaging happens and suddenly sunshine 9 year old Anakin is clashing with angery bb 13 year old Obi-Wan (ages chosen for maximum angst of course 🥰) and Ahsoka is like ‘am I???? The stable one in this lineage????’ And the clones are like ‘OH NO THEYRE SO LITTLE AND WEIRD WHAT DO WE DO?????’ And it’s just delightful.
They call Plo, obviously. Wolffe is a lil pissed at having to share his Buir, but Kenobi’s feral attitude and biting habits are pretty fuckin adorable, and Plo is probably the only Jedi who can handle all these kids at the same time. Rex keeps trying to dissect how Anakin ended up all evil like he is now (before Ani starts off on what it’s like living as a slave on Tatooine and Rex is all ‘ahhh. Trauma. Got it.’) but Cody is 100% adamant that the ONLY difference between adult Obi-Wan and child Obi-Wan is that adult Obi-Wan eats meditation instead of food, but child Obi-Wan will settle for nothing less than the flesh of his enemies and those who try to wake him from naps. He’s got a slightly larger vocabulary as an adult too, he guesses :/ little Obi mostly just growls and speaks in dead tongues. Big Obi growls and speaks probably all the alive tongues. Cody sees no difference. Cody is trying to sell Obi-Wan to Wolffe since they act so much alike. Wolffe has been guilted by TinyWalker into refusing to agree to blatant slavery in public. Rude.

Sometimes writing isn't writing: it's just starting at a blinking cursor for two hours while trying to come up with a way to describe something that you're not sure happened in canon, but still feels largely in-character for who you're writing about. 🥲
Like I can't say for certain that Plo Koon had a lot of involvement/interaction with the initiates at the Jedi Temple, but he just feels like the kind of "calm and super chill figure who's (surprisingly?) good with children" individual that kids of roughly that age want to gravitate towards.
Child from one of the creches wanders in while Plo Koon's meditating (or preparing for a meeting with the rest of the Order) and just crawls into his lap, I don't think Plo would necessarily discourage it from happening? I think he'd probably be okay with it??

Lazy Headcanons (feel free to share yours)
I really like the idea of lazy headcanons for muses. It can be intimate or just their plain guilty pleasure wherein nothing (apart from work and emergencies) would ever pry them off it.
Plo Koon:
Plo Koon's thirst for knowledge is probably as thirsty as I am for him (and puzzles). If he's down with a good book that's really got him hooked of something his centuries of season haven't stumbled across, he's not above having to raise a finger and make you wait till he finishes the last remaining pages or just so until he can reread the section of that got him really hooked or confused.
Tumblr media
I'd like to think Plo (at least my version of Plo) is also into puzzles and board games like chess, checkers, game of the generals (kekekke) and such. He's got about 1238912839128391 ways to make a move but would ponder so heavily on that one killer shot and wouldn’t really pay much attention to you but wouldn acknowledge your presence with "Mmmms...." and "I see."
Tumblr media
This isn't much of a headcanon because it is canon when he handed of C-3PO to Wolffe.
He'd happily pass having you entertained by someone else if he's not interested or if he's about to indulge in some solo-reading bonanza or would rather not be interrupted on any of his personal wind-down activities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meditation is a must for our Baran Do Sage Master Jedi short King ♥ I HC that he'll write a note over the door of his chambers just so his boys know not to invite him in the usual 104th foolishness at least for the day. No sign means they're welcome to barge in (hopefully not as this worries Plo so much that his boys will eventually ingest so much Dorin gas they'd get sick. But has not the heart to lock up because boys are like cats clawing at the door when Buir has been in there far too long) while sign means Wolffe has to have extra headaches today.
Tumblr media
Plo Koon requires little management when it comes to nourishing himself because he's tapped so much into the force it basically nourishes him. But in times when he can actually indulge in consuming food, he really savors and enjoys it. Given he does this in his private chambers, but who's to say he's not doing it all soaked in a bubble bath with scented candles and some good tunes? ♥

And in the event that the Wolves are indeed persistent (as there is no 'Meditating on-going sign') and are so adamant to check on whether Plo Koon is still alive, he will do little to no protest and just be in his tub with a tray over, Dorin delicacies with his mask off and assure the boys that he is not depressed, sad, troubled, annoyed at them, ill, or anything apart from his best self.
He does this in his most very tired dad-voice and is all "Yes, yes, Commander Wolffe, I am unharmed. I simply wish to eat my dinner in peace." He sighs as the rest of the Wolves puff up trying to not inhale Dorin gas and Wolffe tries, tries, to do the same.

Obi-Wan’s group was being attacked when your group finally reached them. You and Anakin quickly ran to Obi-Wan’s side as he was crouched behind a shipping container. Ahsoka, Tarkin, and Piell followed suit.
“Sorry we’re late,” Anakin said.
“How nice of you to join us,” Obi-Wan responded. He looked at you, eyes quickly scanning you for signs of injury.
“The ship is surrounded,” Ahsoka stated.
“We need to launch a full-forward assault and take that vessel!” Tarkin said.
“we may have a bigger problem. Those turrets,” Obi-Wan said, motioning to the large guns on the roof line. “If we don’t take them out, they will use them to destroy the shuttle and prevent our escape.”
“Which is precisely why we should get aboard that shuttle and use the weapon systems to decimate those droids.”
“Whatever we’re going to do, we better do it fast,” Anakin said.
Anakin pointed to the sky where small speeders manned by droids were approaching and began firing. The group started to run toward the ship. All of the Jedi ignited their lightsabers and started to deflect the oncoming blasts. Piell jumped and used Anakin’s head to launch himself at one of the speeders, destroying it. That gave Anakin the idea to jump up on one of the speeders, killing the droid as he did so. You threw your hand out and yanked the droid down with the Force, causing a small explosion. You turned to see Obi-Wan watching you with a proud expression. You rolled your eyes before running to attack one of the droids on the ground.
The clones began throwing detonators at the ground-based droids. You jumped and flipped around to avoid the explosions. You just finished off a droid when you heard Fives shout for Echo. You looked to see Echo running toward the ship, reaching the ramp before it exploded.
“No!” You shouted.
You couldn’t feel the loss of Echo’s force signature, causing you to believe that he was still alive. You ran towards the pieces of the ship. Obi-Wan was quickly behind you, pulling you away.
“We have to go now!” He ordered everyone as he dragged you away. You tried to fight him to let you go. “He’s gone, Y/N,” he told you with sadness laced in his tone.
“No, he isn’t!” You fought. “He’s alive!”
He could feel what you had felt, mainly due to the bond, and knew you wouldn’t let this go easily. “We don’t have time for this, darling. We’ve got to go.”
You gave in with a nod. Once Obi-Wan felt like you wouldn’t go running back, he let you go. The two of you started running as Obi-Wan tried to get a hold of the Council.
“Master Kenobi, what has happened?” Master Koon answered the call.
“I’m afraid we’ve had a situation with the shuttle,” Obi-Wan replied.
Anakin ran up beside the two of you. “By situation, he means big explosion,” Anakin clarified.
“What they both are saying is that we need a rescue,” you added.
“It will be done,” Plo said. “I’m sending our cruisers now.”
~~~
The group found a hiding spot in one of the rocks. It gave you a view of most of the Citadel, allowing you to see if anyone was coming. You had placed yourself away from the ground, trying to meditate through your emotions while still listening in.
“We’ll need to hold out until the Council sends a ship,” Obi-Wan stated.
“Not a problem,” Piell replied. “We’ve beat them once, we’ll beat them again.
“This landscape is almost impossible to cross,” one of the clones said. “How are we going to get to the rendezvous point?”
“That is the trap of the Citadel,” Obi-Wan said. “It was designed so it would be almost impossible for fugitives to get off the surface, even if they escaped the tower.”
“Lucky we’re not just any fugitives,” Anakin said.
“I hope you’re right,” Piell said.
The group began heading out and yet you hadn’t moved. Obi-Wan came over and crouched down in front of you. His eyes caught sight of the bruise forming on your neck. He clenched his fists to prevent himself from brushing his fingers along it.
“We’ve got to keep moving, my dear,” he whispered.
“I didn’t feel his life force leave,” you spoke as quietly as he had. “Echo was a good man. We shouldn’t have left him there.”
“He was… I’m sorry we couldn’t look for him. But this mission—”
“I know that this mission is more than just about one man, it’s about the Nexus Route.”
“Yes,” Obi-Wan gave a nod. “Come on, we must keep going before they catch us.”
~~~
The clones led the way through the terrain filled with lava pits and rivers, and rock. Obi-Wan kept you next to him as best as he could, worried about you. After the clones had made sure the area was clear, your group stopped to come up with a plan and to rest slightly.
“What’s our next move?” Ahsoka asked.
“We’re going to have to fight our way off this rock,” Anakin answered.
“Contact the Council,” Obi-Wan instructed, “see when they plan to rescue us.”
“I’ll handle it,” Piell said, turning to R2 who had already begun the transmission. Master Windu appeared in hologram form.
“Master Piell, it’s good to see you alive, my friend,” Windu said.
“Likewise, Master Windu. Our escape route has been compromised and there are several squares of droids closing in on us.”
“When can we expect your arrival?” Anakin asked.
“Master Plo is already en route,” informed Windu.
“Gunships will arrive to evacuate you and your men,” Yoda added, appearing in the hologram “But do not delay. Only a small window of opportunity shall we have.” A map of the planet came up. “Your rendezvous point will be this island.”
“Understood,” Anakin replied.
“May the Force be with you,” Windu said before ending the transmission.
You took a deep breath, feeling a warning from the Force. “Everyone spread out and hide,” you directed. “They’re close.”
“And how could you possibly know that?” Tarkin questioned.
“Trust her,” Obi-Wan said. “If she says they’re close, we must heed her warning.”
You gave Obi-Wan a thankful nod before going to hide behind a rock pillar. The group was spread out around the area, preparing themselves for an attack.
“Incoming!” One of the clones warned just before blasters began firing.
The clones quickly took the led and used detonators to take care of the attacking droids. You and the other Jedi fell back with your lightsabers ignited for protection. Once the clones had joined you, the droids gone, you all turned off your sabers.
“No doubt there’s more on the way,” Obi-Wan said.
“Then let’s keep moving,” you said.
~~~
It didn’t take long before you were running away from another set of droids. Your group ended up along the ledge of a cliff, being shot at from all angles.
“They’re boxing us in!” Ahsoka exclaimed.
“Lock in your cables!” Ordered Anakin.
The group that had come to the rescue locked in their cables as the rest of you shot at and deflected the oncoming shots.
“R2, we need your droids to hold off the enemy as long as possible,” Anakin directed. R2 deeper in response. “Good. Everybody, follow me!” He pulled Captain Tarkin onto his back and began walking down the side of the cliff.
“This is sheer madness!” Tarkin exclaimed.
“Y/N, come here!” Obi-Wan demanded.
Before you could really move, Obi-Wan pulled you onto his back. Your arms naturally wrapped around his neck and your legs wrapped around his waist. His hands came under your thighs to help support you as he followed Anakin. You had to try and calm your racing heart. You two and really never been this close physically before. Come to think of it, you rarely even hugged. Even in the midst of danger though, you couldn’t help but enjoy being this close to Obi-Wan. And you could tell that Obi-Wan felt the same way about you.
As you reached about halfway, one of the clones cables was shot at and broken, causing two of them to fall to their deaths. You closed your eyes, hurrying your face into Obi-Wan’s neck as you clung to him tighter.
“I’m not going to let you fall, little star,” he whispered to you. “Never.”
When you reached the next level, Obi-Wan almost didn’t let you go. But he knew that he couldn’t hold you like this with other Jedi around and with being shot at, with droids had begun to do from above. He let you go, allowing you to stand on your own two feet.
“Keep moving!” Anakin yelled, ushering everyone to run. “Keep moving!
Obi-Wan and you ran to the open hole in the ground that everyone else was heading into. Anakin quickly followed, being the last one to join you. None of you stopped running yet, wanting to gain distance between your group and the droids. Obi-Wan stopped everyone as your group reached the end of the tunnel, waiting for a group of droids on speeders to pass before signaling for everyone to continue forward.
“What if your Jedi friends are not there when we arrive?” Tarkin questioned.
“Keep moving and you won’t have to worry about that Tarkin,” answered Piell.
“Why did Master Piell and Y/N have to share half of the intel with that guy?” You heard Ahsoka ask Anakin from behind you. “It’s like he’s not even grateful we rescued him.
“Captain Tarkin feels the Jedi should be relieved from the burden of leading the war effort,” Anakin responded.
“That’s ridiculous.”
“Maybe, but we aren’t soldiers, we’re peacekeepers. The Jedi Code often prevents us from going far enough to achieve victory.”
“A rather simple point of view,” Obi-Wan commented.
“Either way, he is a good captain.”
Howling started in the distance, catching everyone’s attention.
“Did you hear that?” Ahsoka asked.
“Yes,” Piell said. “We’re going to have company.”
Your group continued on, Obi-Wan and yourself leading the pack. You two and gotten enough distance from the others where you could both talk freely as long as you were quiet.
“How are you feeling?” Obi-Wan asked. He was still worried about the torture you had been through.
“Honestly, Obi, my body’s getting tired,” you responded.
“We’re going to be rescued soon and then you can rest.”
“Will I be able to rest? The Council keeps sending me away on assignments. Not to mention how many you’ve been on.” You sighed. “This assignment is the first time we’ve been together in weeks and that’s only because I needed rescuing.”
Obi-Wan sighed. “I do wish things were different, little star. But we are at war.”
“I know,” you sighed.
The group paused at the sound of howling once again.
“Those creatures are gaining,” Piell stated. “If they’ve caught our scent, they’ll lead the droids right to us.”
“We’re gonna have to deal with them,” said Anakin.
“What about using this cave to surprise them?” Ahsoka suggested, pointing at a nearby cave.
“If we can get them to pass by, we can attack them from behind,” said Piell. “But we need a distraction.”
“Leave that to me,” Anakin said. Obi-Wan cleared his throat. “And Obi-Wan, of course.”
“Okay, the rest of you, follow me.”
You hated splitting up with Obi-Wan again but you knew that your body was not energized enough to keep up with Obi-Wan and Anakin while they were the distraction. You looked at Obi-Wan and he gave you a nod, encouraging you to follow Master Piell. You did, separating from Obi-Wan and Anakin and R2, who had decided to stay with the two Jedi. Your group hid inside a cave until you believed that the distraction was working well enough. The group ran through the tunnels, only to be stopped by large droids. You, Ahsoka, and Piell ignited your lightsabers and began fighting off the droids.
“Keep going!” Piell ordered the rest of them. “Ahsoka, Y/N, and I will take care of the droids.”
The group quickly obeyed, rushing away as the three of you left were surrounded by the three large droids. You flipped and jumped around to dodge the blasts as you tried to hop onto the droid. Eventually, you were able to land on top of it and you plunged your saber through its center. Piell was able to cut his droid in half as you slid your saber up of the droid, making sure it wasn’t working.
As Ahsoka finished her droid off, you stood up straight, sensing that one of those creatures that were after you was nearby. Before you could do anything, the creature had come out of the fog and pinned down Master Piell. It bit his neck before you were able to use the Force to launch the creature into the nearby rock wall. Lifting it up by the Force, you threw it into the lava at the bottom of the cliff. Ahsoka was already kneeling at Piell’s side when you raced over.
“Master Piell!” You exclaimed.
“I have to get help,” Ahsoka said, moving to leave.
“No,” Piell groaned. “Don’t leave. Listen to me carefully, child.” Piell was struggling to get his words out. “The information, I need you to deliver it back to the Council with Y/N.”
“I should find Anakin or Obi-Wan. They need to hear this.”
“No. You must listen.”
“Ahsoka,” you called gently, trying to follow your Master’s wishes, “listen.”
“But I wasn’t assigned to the team,” Ahsoka admitted out loud. “I lied just so I could be a part of the mission.”
“Whether you were meant to be on this mission or not, you are now one of the most important parts of it,” Piell told the Padawan. “And see to it that the information I’m about to give you is revealed to no one but the Jedi Council.”
Ahsoka leaned in closer to get the piece of information that Piell had. When Ahsoka pulled away, you felt the Jedi Master’s life force slip into the Force. Tears sprung in your eyes as you closed them and bowed your head.
~~~
Obi-Wan could feel the movement you started grieving. Worry bloomed in his chest at the thought of what could have happened. He was on a higher ledge when he saw you come through the fog carrying Master Piell, with Ahsoka beside you.
“Oh, no,” Obi-Wan breathed out.
He rushed down from where he was as you knelt down and laid Master Piell’s body on the ground. You stayed knelt down, with your hands in your lap, as everyone surrounded you.
“He died, honorably,” Ahsoka stated.
“What about the information?” Wondered Anakin.
“I have it. He told me just before he died.”
Rex pulled a blanket out of his pack to wrap Master Piell in. Piell was carefully wrapped up and brought over to one of the cliff edges, the group following. Obi-Wan went to help you off your knees to join the group but you quickly got yourself up and brushed passed him. He sighed. He could feel that what you needed was to just be held, so you weren’t allowing yourself any physical contact with Obi-Wan just in case you slipped up. Master Piell had been one of the Council members to have personally trained you. Obi-Wan understood what it was like losing one’s Master, but your situation was different. You had already lost Masters before and you would continue to. What a toll that could take on anyone.
“We don’t have much time,” Obi-Wan told the group. “Let’s take this moment to honor him, then we must move on. He would have wanted us to complete our mission.
Anakin and Obi-Wan reached an arm out and used the Force to guide Master Piell into the lava below. You watched as his burning body floated down the river.
~~~
Your group was mostly silent the rest of the way to the rendezvous point. Obi-Wan kept glancing over at you as his signature tried to bring you some comfort. You weren’t willing to accept the help yet but didn’t block him out.
“There’s the extraction point,” Obi-Wan announced, pointing to the island surrounded by lava.
Anakin and Rex ran up rock spikes and shot cables into the island. They secured the cables before Rex and Captain Tarkin were the first to use them to crawl across the open lava.
“Incoming!” Rex shouted in warning.
Droids on speeders were coming toward your group as Ahsoka and a clone began to cross the cables. You, Obi-Wan, and Anakin began using your lightsabers to deflect the blasts.
“You need to get across to the island now, Y/N!” Obi-Wan ordered.
“Not yet!” You responded, deflecting a shot meant to hit Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan jumped up onto one of the speeders and destroyed the droid that was flying it. Anakin did the same thing to another and the two Jedi began attacking from the air. You stayed on the ground, deflecting the shots so that the rest of the group could get across. Once you were the only one on your side, you noticed that Anakin and Obi-Wan had reached the island.
“Y/N!” Obi-Wan shouted. “Behind you!”
You looked behind you to see large battle droids coming your way. Taking a deep breath, you sprinted toward the edge of the ground and leaped off. You used the Force and channeled the strength in your bond, to get the height and the distance you needed to get on the island. Your landing, though, was not as nice as you would have hoped. You crashed to the ground, rolling to a stop. Obi-Wan rushed to your side.
“That was reckless,” he scolded as he helped you sit up. “You could have gotten yourself killed.”
“But I didn’t,” you coughed.
The rescue ship flew through the fog and hovered above the island. The doors opened to reveal Master Plo and a few clones.
“I believe you’ve worn out your welcome,” Plo said.
Droids started crawling onto the island and firing at the group. That only made you get on the rescue ship faster. Once everyone was on, the ship quickly headed out.
“Admiral Coburn,” Plo called over his comlink, “we have the survivors. Recall all fighters.”
“Yes, General,” Admiral Coburn responded.
~~~
Once aboard the star cruiser, your body decided that it needed to sit. Obi-Wan could sense it. He looked over at you to see you slowly making your way down the hall. He excused himself and went to grab a small med kit before setting off to find you. Obi-Wan was thankful that the Force easily guided him to you. You were in a small room that clones often used to sleep for a few hours. The door slid open, causing you to look at who was coming in. Obi-Wan sent you a small smile as he entered, making sure the door slid shut behind him. He came over and sat beside you.
“I brought this in case you may need it,” said Obi-Wan.
“Thanks,” you mumbled.
“I want to start with that bruise along your neck. Is that okay?”
You nodded, too tired to speak. Obi-Wan set the kit down on the bed the two of you were seated on. He opened the kit and took out the bacta spray. He knew you didn’t exactly need the spray, it was just a bruise, but he wanted to be cautious with you. When it came to your health, Obi-Wan wasn’t going to take any chances. He shook the bacta can a bit before aiming and spraying at your neck. You flinched and let out a slight whimper.
“Sorry, darling,” Obi-Wan whispered as he continued to spray it along the whole bruise. “Is there anywhere else?”
You shook your head. “Nothing as bad as that,” you responded quietly.
“Are you sure?”
You nodded. “I’m sure.”
Obi-Wan put away the bacta can and shut the med kit. He pushed the kit aside before moving closer to you. Placing a hand against your cheek, his thumb rubbed against your skin. You closed your eyes and leaned into his hand.
“I was so worried about you, little star,” he admitted softly.
“I knew you’d come for me,” you replied.
Obi-Wan pressed out a tight smile. He leaned forward and held a kiss on your forehead. You moved your head to rest it against his shoulder.
“Thank you, Obi,” you whispered.
“Anything for you, little star,” Obi-Wan replied.
~~~
Master Windu and Master Yoda were waiting for your group when you finally landed back on Coruscant. Yoda had felt your grief through the Force and came up to you.
“Of Master Piell’s loss, we are sorry to hear,” he said to you.
“He will be missed,” Windu added.
“Because of his great sacrifice, we now have the Nexus Route coordinates,” Plo said.
“Captain Tarkin, Y/N, and Ahsoka have each memorized a third of it,” Obi-Wan told the Jedi Masters.
“Debrief them, we must,” Yoda responded.
“With all due respect, Master Jedi,” Tarkin cut in, “I was instructed by Chancellor Palpatine to bring the intel directly to him for debriefing.”
“Y/N and I promised Master Piell that we would deliver it only to the Council,” Ahsoka said. “and that’s what we will do.”
“Hmm,” Yoda hummed. “Personally meet with the Chancellor, I will. Decide what is best to do, we shall.”
The group began to part. Before Plo could go far, Anakin caught him.
“Master Plo, there’s something we want to ask you,” Anakin said. “Did you assign Ahsoka to the mission?”
Ahsoka turned and looked at Plo, ready for her punishment.
“It appears I did,” Plo responded.
You smirked, knowing he had a soft spot for the Padawan. Obi-Wan and Anakin sent each other a knowing look as Plo and Ahsoka walked off together.
“A job well done, General Skywalker,” Captain Tarkin said, holding out his hand to Anakin. Anakin took it. “I wish more Jedi had your military sensibilities. Perhaps I can inform the Chancellor of your valor.” Tarkin dropped Anakin’s hand and walked away.
“I’m not sure what to think of your new ally,” Obi-Wan said.
“Well, I think we need people like him,” Anakin said. “this is a war. If we aren’t willing to do what it takes to win, we risk losing everything we try to protect.”
“Unfortunately, war tends to distort our point of view. If we sacrifice our code, even for victory, we may lose that which is most important, our honor.”
Something about Obi-Wan’s words didn’t sit right with you. Was he saying that in just talk of war? Or was he thinking that, in breaking the Code with you, he was sacrificing his honor? Something that Obi-Wan Kenobi was known for throughout the galaxy.
Cody looked up and down the empty street, once again wondering when he’d lost his mind. It was probably the day on Kamino when a soggy ginger Jedi entered his life.
“C’mon General hurry up” he muttered to himself, rubbing his hands together watching his breath mist in the Coruscant winter air. At this low level, with the dark outline of the temple looming in front of him, waiting alone in the dark in his civvies was a very spooky experience.
A metallic clang and the creek of a door made him jump and turn in relief, his Jedi approaching with an apologetic smile and a robe in his hands.
“I’m so sorry Cody, I couldn’t get Mace to leave!” he explained hurriedly, helping the freezing trooper into the cloak and taking Cody’s hands in his own, rubbing quickly.
“Come on, come on in” the harried man ushered him towards the small nondescript doorway, almost perfectly blending in with the grubby walls, old crates and general detritus that characterised this part of the city.
“Where…” Cody looked at the dark passage ahead of them as the door closed with a squeak and a clang behind them. “Where does this lead? I still don’t know why I couldn’t just use the front door we could have come up with some cover!” he said, only slightly irritated at the whole palaver.
“Ahhh but you see his charming maintenance passage leads straight into the Steam Pipe Trunk Distribution Venue, my dear” his infuriating Jedi took his hand, and Cody could see his cheeky smirk and sparkling eyes by the blue light of his ‘sabre.
The clone frowned and allowed himself to be pulled along.
“The Steam Pipe….” He trailed off, a memory surfacing all of a sudden.
---
“…Yeah well, Obi-Wan lives in the airing cupboard.”
 General Skywalker smirked at his mentor, a conversation that had started out with Rex’ innocent question about life in the temple was rapidly going the way of all other Kenobi-Skywalker conversations. Descending into bickering and teasing.
Cody shook his head ruefully.
“Excuse me! It is not the airing cupboard, it’s the Steam Pipe Trunk Distribution Venue.” The irritated Master in question snapped before correcting himself; “And it’s not the steam pipe distribution venue, it’s my flat!”
Ahsoka giggled and General Skywalker snorted. Cody watched Rex’ expression mirror his own of surprise.
He’d never seen inside his General’s temple flat, though he’d imagined it a number of times. But he was a fairly unimaginative person and it always ended up being the Generals office but with more meditation mats and even more robes everywhere.
He had, though, always assumed it was fairly large and high quality. A classy place for a classy man.
“Master Obi-Wan you really need a bigger space. What if me and Skyguy want to pop in?” she asked imploringly.
“Ye,s such a shame that’s just not possible” the senior Jedi muttered into his tea, just loud enough for Cody to hear.
Out loud he answered.
“I know my dear, but it's home and I like it. Force Knows Plo keeps trying to bully me into moving, but it was the only one available when I got my seat, and now I can’t be bothered” he explained blithely to Cody and Rex.
Both his young Jedi charges rolled their eyes.
“And it’s lovely and warm” General Kenobi said defensively.
“Sure Master, airing cupboards are. Ow!”
---
Cody smiled at the memory (and the look on Skywalkers face when Obi-Wan, in a surprisingly petty move, jabbed him with a fork) and comprehension dawned.
A new eagerness spurred him onwards.
“Oh the Steam Pipe Trunk Distribution Venue, I’ve always wanted to see that” he said, pulling his sneaky Jedi into a laughing kiss.
Right Person, Wrong Lifetime (Obi Wan Kenobi x GN!Reader)
Main Masterlist
So this gets kinda long and kinda dark Warnings: order 66, angst (seriously there is no happy ending this is just fluff turned angst)
Attachment is forbidden for a jedi but feelings of love are inevitable between two young souls who care for one another.
Word Count: 5.7k
Part Two
Tumblr media
You'd first met Obi Wan as younglings. He was small and skinny and awkward and you thought that was charming. You weren't in the same clan, in fact he was a year younger than you. You'd only seen him during meal times at the temple but he was sweet and you hoped you'd get to know him at some point.
That chance came a few years into your training, you were nine and starving after a particularly hard lightsaber training session. You planned on getting your food and finishing your reading before your next class but when you entered the youngling dining hall you noticed a familiar head of auburn hair in the middle of a game of keep away. Although it didn't look like Obi Wan was particularly enjoying it.
"Give it back!" Obi Wan said as he jumped, trying to get the datapad the other kids were throwing around.
"Hey! If you want to be protectors of the peace you should know better than to bully your clanmates- or anyone for that matter!" You said, holding your hand out and using the force to guide the datapad down to Obi Wan's reach.
"Ugh! come on Y/N, we were just having some fun you don't have to be a bantha dung" One of the boys- a tall twi'lek who's name you didn't remember said.
You grabbed Obi Wan's wrist and led him back to your table as the group continued to taunt you.
"You didn't have to do that" He said meekly and you smiled brightly at him.
"That's what friends are for, now come on what were you reading?"
---
Your friendship continued into your padawan years when he was taken under the instruction of Qui Gon Jinn.
"How are you so calm? If you stay without a master for much longer they'll re-assign you to the corps!" Obi Wan said and you smiled.
"You worry too much Obi" You chided him while you kept reading.
"How are you not worried? Do you not... Want to be a padawan?" Obi Wan asked meekly and you put down your datapad.
"Of course I want to be a padawan, I've spent my entire 13 years of life training for it but I'm not worried because I have a master" You said, smirking while Obi Wan rolled his eyes.
"If you say something about the force being the only master you need I'm leaving" He said you laughed.
"One, that's rude. And two, I mean it, Master Plo Koon is taking me on as his padawan!" You announced and Obi Wan looked at you stunned.
"You mean the new council member?" He asked and you nodded enthusiastically.
"He's even friends with master Jinn so we might go on missions together isn't that cool?" You asked him excitedly and he smiled.
"If master Qui Gon ever takes me on anything more than a meditation session" Obi Wan grumbled and you laughed.
"You should trust him more, besides, look" You said, pulling a small piece of hair from behind your ear.
"I can finally start growing a padawan braid" You said excitedly.
---
Qui Gon's funeral wasn't the first you'd attended but it was the first time you'd felt grief in yourself instead of in others. You'd felt it through the force before but after knowing and training with the man for years you felt a great pain at his loss. Although not nearly as much as Obi Wan. You stood behind him at the funeral and spent the whole ceremony trying to be a comforting presence for your friend. You'd heard he's been promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight because of his bravery on his recent mission. After all he did kill a sith lord, but you hadn't actually gotten a chance to talk to him since he'd come back.
There were rumors flying around the temple but you just wanted to make sure your friend was okay.
You'd managed to corner him after the funeral was over.
"Obi- Obi Wan" You called out to him, quick to cover up the nickname once you saw a youngling was with him.
"Y/N? I'm sorry I haven't stopped by-" He started saying and you put your hands on his shoulders.
"I wanted you to know I'm here for you" you said before your eyes wondered.
"This is the kid?" You asked once you noticed the kid with him wasn't a youngling from the temple.
"This is Anakin Skywalker, master Qui Gon sensed him on Tatooine, he..." Obi wan trailed off and you tightened your grip on his shoulder.
"Obi Wan said he would train me since Qui Gon isn't... Here anymore" The little boy said and you smiled and kneeled down next to him.
"Well then, it's nice to meet you Anakin" You told the boy and stood back up to look at your friend.
"And congratulations to you too Master Kenobi. I'm sure you'll be an amazing teacher" You said, you were partially teasing him but you meant the compliment. If there was one thing you knew about Obi Wan it was that he was meant to be a teacher.
"Don't cause too much trouble for him Anakin! He's a bit of a stickler for the rules as of late" You said over your shoulder as you continued down the hall.
---
A few months later you'd passed your own trials and became a jedi knight as well. Not that the extra time didn't go over Obi Wan's head, he teased you about it for years after.
"You always were one step behind me" He said as you watched Anakin try to chop wood with some of the locals, like Obi Wan he was on the leaner side.
You'd been sent on a mission with your old friend and his 16 year old padawan to the planet Lothal. A negotiation mission that as of yet hasn't gone awry thanks to Obi Wan. He really was the best negotiator you knew.
"Yes well I have to be unique somehow" You joked. no matter how many years passed he still chided you for your "late development".
"Have you thought of taking on a padawan?" Obi Wan asked, stroking his beard in a habit he had gained since he first grew it out.
"It's surprisingly rewarding" He explained and you chuckled.
"don't let Quinlan hear you, you'll never be able to complain about it again" You said, getting a small laugh out of him.
"Although I think this is the time to say I told you so" You said, holding back a laugh as you watched Anakin stumble with his arms full of what must be some heavy wood.
"About what? Because if I remember correctly you already said that about growing the beard" Obi Wan responded and you laughed. You had told him that a beard would help make him look a bit more his age. Who knew the man had such a baby face?
"I meant about your teaching skills. I don't think anybody would have thought he'd be this advanced after so little time."
"Seven years isn't so little" Obi Wan remarked and you rolled your eyes.
"You know what I mean Obi. You should be proud, I'm sure master Qui Gon is" You said and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"But I think I'll stay in the uncle mentor for a bit longer" You continued jokingly.
"I don't think I'd have been able to do it without your support, I probably would have gone to the council after less than a year if you hadn't talked me out of it all those times" He said and you sighed.
"You're always so anxious about your ability to do things, sometimes I wish you could see yourself like I do for a bit. Maybe then you'd have some more confidence in yourself." You didn't notice it when you turned away but Obi Wan's cheek's flushed with color at your words. It also didn't help (or did, on Obi Wan's part) that Anakin dropped the logs he was carrying and you went off to help him. He knew these feelings were wrong for him to have but they were there anyways and he only hoped he could work through them without ruining your friendship.
---
You'd heard about Obi Wan and Anakin's new mission mainly because it seems Anakin has picked up some of his master's nerves.
"I don't need the force to sense your anxiety Ani" You told the 19 year old as the two of you meditated in the temple gardens.
"It's been so long, what if she doesn't remember me?" The boy- who really wasn't so young anymore- asked.
"Then you'll reintroduce yourself" You calmly said, having let go of the idea of meditation. You often talked with Anakin like this under the guise of meditation. You were someone he could tell his worries or anythings he didn't want to tell Obi Wan. It helped having someone close outside of their dynamic to talk to.
"How do you always stay so calm?" Anakin questioned and you chuckled.
"I don't, but this isn't about me Anakin. I'm sure Obi Wan has already told you, you need to control your emotions otherwise they'll control you" You warned but Anakin rolled his eyes.
"And it's a path to the darkside, like basically everything else" He said mockingly and you shook your head disapprovingly.
"Yes, but more importantly it'll get you killed one day. Some decisions need to be made with your brain not just with your heart" You told him and stood up.
"You should go find Obi Wan and report for your mission. Good luck and remember Ani-" You began but Anakin cut you off as he walked into the temple.
"Use my brain not my heart" He said mockingly over his shoulder.
"Not just your heart!" You corrected.
"And give my regards to Obi Wan!" You called out to him and you only knew he heard you because you could feel the sense of accepting resignation. You and Obi Wan were far too cichy for his taste.
---
When the Clone Wars officially started you were less than thrilled to say the least. Actually you were very much against it. So when you felt a familiar force signature you sighed in resignation, you'd expected this conversation for multiple days.
"Go ahead and come in master" You called out in the direction of the door even before there was a knock.
"Always the perceptive one young Y/N" Master Plo said as he walked into your quarters. You had long ago given up on changing his nickname for you. It made sense when you were a young padawan but you weren't so young anymore. Not that it bothered the 382 year old.
"I've been expecting you, would you like some tea?" You asked as you went to prepare some.
Plo nodded and sat down at a small sitting area you had in your quarters.
"Since you have been expecting me can I assume you know why I am here?" He asked and you sighed, turning to face him while the water boiled.
"You out of everyone should understand me master, even in times of war jedi have never fought as generals. It's not our place. We're peacekeepers not soldiers" You said and were glad for the excuse of the tea to keep your hands busy when the kettle came to a boil.
"I understand your thoughts young one but you must understand the dangers. This is a galactic war" Plo said and you came to the table with a tray of tea.
"I won't fight a war for the politicians in the senate. I'm not a soldier and neither are you master" You told Plo as you sipped your tea. You didn't want to fight with him but you had to do what you knew was right. He was the one who taught you that.
"You were the one who taught me to do the right thing, especially if it's harder than the easy option and I have made that decision" You reminded him and he sat in concentration for a moment.
"You are wise young one but you are not always right. I dislike acting as a general as much as you but to protect the peace in the republic we must end this war." Plo explained and you sighed.
"And this is a war, I know master. But, I have a question for you" You said and continued only once Plo nodded.
"Are you hear on behalf of yourself or the council?" You asked. You knew that as a member of the council he was never truly acting only as himself but you wanted to know.
"The council did request I speak with you" He began and you took a big disappointed breath.
"But I do believe that with your help we may yet end this war before too much blood is shed" He continued.
You didn't say anything.
"You are concerned" Plo said, sensing your worries.
"I do not like the thought of jedi becoming soldiers, it scares me. It blurs the line of what we do and- well that can be dangerous" You admitted and master Plo placed a comforting hand on your arm.
"You have worked past fear before, you will do it again young one, if there is anyone I trust to keep the peace it is you" Plo reassured you and you smiled sadly.
"If you truly believe that fighting in this war will allow us to end it sooner- to bring peace sooner- then I will join you" You said and even though most of your master's face was hidden by his mask you could see he was smiling.
---
The Clone War brought upon the deaths of many Jedi and the need to replace them within the order. It's why you and Obi Wan were made jedi masters as well as why Obi Wan joined the jedi council, replacing master Peill. You were very proud of him.
Anakin became a jedi knight and suddenly your roles changed quickly from keepers of the peace to war leaders and generals. Even young padawans were made into commanders. Though the more this war raged on the less confident in your role within it you became.
When you walked onto the bridge of your cruiser you were pleasantly surprised to find Anakin and Obi Wan along with their second in commands.
"General Skywalker, general Kenobi, it's good to see you again" You said, teasingly formal as you joined them at the bridge's command center.
"And you must be captain Rex and commander Cody, I've heard much about you both" You said to the clones. They looked at each other and then at their generals in confusion.
"You talk about us general?" Rex asked Anakin who returned his confused look.
"Not with general L/N, no" He said and you smiled as you sensed a familiar force signature running at you from behind. The answer to Rex's question.
"Master Y/N!" Ahsoka exclaimed as you turned around to meet her in a hug.
"Little 'soka, you've gotten taller" You said as you held her by the shoulders to look at her.
"It's good to see you little one" You said, placing a soft kiss on the top of Ahsoka's head, between her montrals. You could never contain your affection for the young togruta.
Rex and Cody looked at each other, finally understanding who'd been telling you about them while Anakin looked and you and Ahsoka in confusion.
"You two know each other?" He asked and Obi Wan smirked simply happy to see you again.
"Has Ahsoka not told you?" You asked teasingly, holding Ahsoka in a side hug. She was shorter than you, her head reaching just below your shoulder.
"It's important for a master and padawan to know each other well Anakin" You said, continuing to tease.
"Master Y/N was master Plo's padawan and brought me to the temple with him" Ahsoka explained sheepishly.
"Ohhhh" Anakin said and laughed.
"That does make sense" He said and you shook your head in mock disapproval. In reality you were very happy to be back with your friends. This is the lightest you'd felt since the war began.
"Now that we've all happily reunited, we do have a mission to get to" Obi Wan reminded you all and you nodded as he began to go over the plan.
You let Ahsoka stand beside Anakin as you stood comfortably beside Obi Wan. He's recently cut his hair short again and you couldn't help but sneak glances at it along with small glances at his armour. He looked incredibly regal standing next to you leading and you couldn't help but notice he snuck glances your way as well.
You wore minimal armour (much to the dismay of your battalion), feeling like it restricted your mobility too much. Really you hated feeling like a general and there was a certain comfort to your jedi robes.
Obi Wan found you looked good in either, not that he would share that thought.
---
You were barely awake when the commander of your battalion as well as his lieutenant carried you into the halls of healing, each supporting half your weight with your arms wrapped over their shoulders. Your head ached and you were losing most of the feeling in your limbs.
"-Doctor! We need a doctor!" Your commander yelled as a group of jedi and healers approached them.
"What happened?" One of the healers, a human woman, asked as she guided the clones to lay you down on a stretcher.
"They were holding off an explosion with the force- they seemed fine but something hit them and they haven't been responsive" The lieutenant-Taz- said.
"Thank you troopers, we'll take them from here" The healer said as she took the stretcher into the infirmary.
Taz turned to his commander. "Do you think they'll be okay?" Taz asked and the clone next to him, commander Hugh took off his helmet.
"Honestly I have no idea" Commander Hugh said and a temple guard approached the two of them.
"You two are not authorized to be in here, you may wait on your ship in the hanger" They said and though both clones wanted to argue they knew making a scene wasn't a good idea.
As they walked back to the hanger a familiar figure came up to them.
"Commander Hugh, lieutenant, what are you doing here?" Obi Wan asked as he approached with his own commander only a step behind him.
Hugh saluted the general and Taz did the same.
"General Kenobi, sir" They said in unison.
"General L/N was injured and ordered our ship to return to Coruscant" Commander Hugh explained and Obi Wan had to stop his face from shifting too much.
"What do you mean? What kind of injury?" He asked and Taz looked at him sympathetically. Everyone in both the 212th and your own battalion knew about the special connection you had with Obi Wan. You'd always told them you were simply close friends but many of them suspected it was deeper than that.
"When we arrived they were unresponsive sir. They're being treated in the halls of healing" Hugh said and Taz quickly cut it.
"They assured us the general was in good hands sir, I'm sure they'll be fine" He reassured but something akin to terror passed over Obi Wan's eyes as he began to make his way towards the halls of healing.
"General-" Cody tried to call out but Kenobi was already gone.
"I'm sorry sir" Hugh told Cody but the marshal commander dismissed it.
"He'll be back once he sees that general L/N is okay" Cody said and they all hoped he was right.
The only thoughts in Obi Wan's mind were those of concern for you. You'd always been strong, able to take a punch and get back up, and it wasn't as if you'd never been injured before but if you'd specifically asked to come back to Coruscant... Something had to be wrong.
As he made his way into the halls of healing a young healer came up to him. He was a miralan whom Obi Wan faintly remembered seeing around the temple before.
"Master Kenobi are you alright?" He asked and Obi Wan nodded.
"Yes but master Y/N L/N was admitted here earlier, I need to see them" He told the boy who looked over his data pad thoughtfully.
"Master L/N is currently resting, they're being treated for force exhaustion" The boy explained and Obi Wan nodded.
"So they'll be fine then?" He asked, he should have known but he needed someone else to say it. Needed for someone to calm his nerves.
"They'll be perfectly fine master Kenobi" The boy reiterated and Obi Wan went to sit and wait. You'll be fine. Just like Taz had said. The clones must have overreacted not knowing what force exhaustion was. You weren't seriously injured, you just needed to rest and recover your strength. He had to remind himself of that until he felt your force signature awaken.
This was getting out of hand. He knew that attachment was forbidden for him and he knew that he chided Anakin on his own attachments before. How could he be so hypocritical?
He approached your room slowly and was surprised to see you were meditating inside, hovering slightly above your bed.
"You should take it easy, you gave Taz quite the scare" He said, returning to the comfortable disguise of sarcasm and wit to hide his own worry.
One of you eyes opened and you smiled.
"Is that who I scared?" You asked teasingly, you had always been able to see right through him.
"Alright, I may have been a tad worried as well" Obi Wan admitted and took a seat beside your bed. "How do you feel?" He asked and you stretched, floating down to the bed.
"Better, I overdid it a bit but I'll be fine" You said and smiled tiredly at him, you still needed rest.
"I got to rest on the way here too" You continued as you watched Obi Wan.
"I've missed you Obi" You said and placed your hand on his.
"Y/N, what is this? We shouldn't- we shouldn't be humoring these feelings" Obi Wan said and he just hoped he wasn't about to embarrass himself. He knows you well enough to trust himself. He could recognize that you reciprocate his feelings but he knew this wasn't the jedi way.
"And why not?" You asked, facing him.
"Attachment is forbidden but I don't want to be conflicted with my feelings for you Obi" You said, you kept your gaze on his hand under yours.
"I care about you Obi Wan, I can't ignore that" You told him finally looking into his teal eyes.
"As do I" He said, turning his hand in yours, holding onto your palm. "But we can't" He said and you sighed. You lowered your head into the crook of his neck.
"You're exhausted" He chided as he held you.
"I can love you and be able to let you go Obi, I can feel without being attached. That's how we've been taught" You said into the crook of his neck as he brought a hand through your hair.
"But I cannot darling, and that means I cannot have you" He whispered into your ear.
"Now rest, you'll need your strength" He said as he kissed the crown of your head and laid you down on the cot.
"Stay with me?" You asked and he smiled adoringly at you.
"Of course darling" He said, going back to sitting beside your bed and he held your hand until you fell asleep.
---
You huddled the younglings into the farthest corner of the room.
"Master, what's going on? What are the clones doing?" A young rhodian girl asked you and you sighed.
"I don't know young one, but you have to promise me you'll do exactly as I say. I will do everything in my power to keep you safe, all of you" You told her and the rest of the younglings. You only hoped they weren't strong enough to sense the death and fear outside.
You had no idea what made the clones turn and you pushed the curiosity about your own battalion to the back of your mind. Your first responsibility was to these younglings.
You stood up as you sensed a clone squad coming by.
"Stay hidden, do not leave this room unless I tell you to, do you understand?" You asked as you took up a defensive position.
A chorus of scared "Yes master"s came from behind you as you ignited your lightsaber.
The door opened and a squad of clone troopers, a squad you recognised as part of the 501st came into the room and aimed their blasters at you.
"Traitor!" One of them said as you ran at them, lightsaber in front of you as you jumped and slashed, deflecting their fire and ending their lives as painlessly as you could.
"Follow me younglings, we must go" You said as you ran into the hallway and the younglings joined you.
There was a padawan among them, she'd recently been taken in by a jedi and had only begun to grow her padawan braid.
"Master, we can't possibly take on all these clones by ourselves" She said and you nodded.
"You're right Hilla, we can't. That's why I'm taking you and the younglings to a ship" You said and Hilla ran after you.
"But master we'd never be able to-" She tried to say but you stopped and knelt down to her.
"You will take the ship, it has an escape pod. Fly out of orbit. Get as far as you can and do not land anywhere. When you find a planet use the escape pod." You told Hilla and handed her a communicator.
"Contact me once you're out of orbit. Go to non republic systems and stay hidden. These younglings are counting on you, can you do that?" You asked Her.
She nodded.
"Yes master Y/N." She said confidently and you nodded approvingly.
"Good, I will carve you a path." You told her as you led her and the younglings to a small hanger beneath the temple. You had lost count of how many clones you'd slain. How many of Anakin's men. You didn't want to think about it. You couldn't.
You felt blaster shots fly past you, a few grazed you but you kept fighting until you saw the ship take off.
"Your efforts are useless. We'll find them." The trooper said and you scowled.
"Take off your helmet trooper." You ordered but he didn't move, continuing to point his blaster at you.
"I don't take orders from you anymore jedi" He sneered and you sighed.
"Then I am sorry for what I must do" You said as you charged at him.
You laid on the floor of the temple, so many had died and you could no longer find the power to stand.
You heard more blaster fire and stood against everything your body told you. You ran to the entrance of the temple and for a moment you smiled hopefully as you saw Obi Wan. He and master Yoda had killed off the last of the clones.
"Obi Wan, master Yoda-" You breathed out as you let the exhaustion take over and fell to your knees.
Obi Wan rushed to you.
"Y/N" He breathed out as he helped you stand.
"What happened?" He asked and you sighed.
"I don't know, they came out of nowhere and began to shoot, we did everything we could" You explained as he helped you walk back into the temple along with Yoda.
You let out a shaky breath as you finally saw the destruction.
"Not even the younglings survived" Obi Wan said and you closed your eyes to hold back the tears.
"We never had a chance" You said as you knelt beside the body of one of the younglings.
"Killed not by clones this padawan. By lightsaber he was" Yoda said and you saw the marks of a lightsaber. He was right.
"Who could have done this?" Obi Wan asked but none of you had an answer. You hadn't seen who it was but you had your suspicions. Still you couldn't bring yourself to say it.
---
Obi Wan had a mission to do and you heard your comm ping.
"Master Y/N" Hilla said and you smiled sadly at her.
"You made it" You said, a weight was removed from your chest. It was not all in vain. Someone survived.
"We're in hyperspace on our way to the outer rim... What do we do now?" She asked and you let out a breath.
"You hide. Forget your training, you must survive." You told the young padawan. She couldn't have been older than 11 years old.
"But master-"
"Find a place to stay. Do not tell anyone who you are and keep the younglings safe Hilla. It is the only way" You told her. She looked so scared, unsure what to do or how to continue.
"But master, I can't do that. I don't know how" She said and you smiled at her.
"The force will guide you, it will keep you safe but promise me Hilla... Promise me you will do anything you can to survive" You begged her and you saw her conflicted face.
"I promise master." She said and you nodded.
"Find somewhere to hide and never contact me again. Stay safe young padawan and may the force be with you" You said before disconnecting and destroying the comm.
You stayed sitting on the steps of the halls of healing until Obi Wan came to find you. You could feel his pain before he even said a word.
"Y/N" He said and you shook your head. He knew.
"I know Obi Wan." You told him as you stood up.
"Anakin he-" Obi Wan tried to say but you embraced him.
"I know" You said.
"Master Yoda has sent me to kill him" Obi Wan said and you looked at him, matching his pain. You placed a gentle hand on his cheek.
"I am so sorry Obi Wan" You told him and you felt the horrible mix of guilt, shame, pain and anger in him.
"I am so sorry" You repeated as you kissed his forehead.
---
Bail, your old friend, had managed to contact you. He helped you get off world and took you along with master Yoda to Polis Masa.
You didn't want to meditate, too scared to feel the force after so much death and destruction.
The crying of two newly born babies took you out of the confines of your own mind. When you'd joined Bail, Yoda and Obi Wan you could feel that Padme was no longer with you. The only thing remaining of her were her children.
"What will happen to them?" You asked Yoda. This single day seemed to have aged him more than the last 900 years.
"Decide that now we must" Master Yoda said and you looked into the room, watching Obi Wan hold one of the babies. He was distraught.
You, Bail and Obi Wan sat together in a meeting room on bail's ship.
"Hidden, safe the children must be kept" Yoda said and you all stayed deep in thought.
"We must take them somewhere where the sith will not sense their presence" Obi Wan said and you nodded.
"We should split them up then. It will be easier to hide each baby on their own rather than both of them together" You said and Yoda seemed to agree.
"My wife and I will take the girl. We've always talked of adopting a baby girl. She will be loved with us" Bail said and you looked at Obi Wan to your right.
"And what of the boy?" He asked and Yoda spoke.
"To Tatooine. To his family send him" The old master said and you sighed.
The thought of separating these infants from the only family they have, from each other hurt but you knew it was the right choice.
"I will take the child and watch over him" Obi Wan said wearily and you placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"Then I will go with the girl as well, and help protect her" You said, this time looking at bail.
Bail looked at you skeptically, attempting to hide on Alderaan would be difficult. After all you were fugitive of the empire now.
"her father had the highest midichlorian count we know of, it is not unlikely that she will be force sensitive and someone must be there to help her hide it or to train her should the need arise" You explained.
"If that is alright with you" You continued, looking at bail hoping he agreed. "It is" He finally said and with that decided you all stood up, bowing to yoda before leaving.
"Bail" You called to the man as the two of you left the room.
"Thank you" You told him. You meant it.
"Of course my friend, I just hope you know what you are doing. The core and the mid rim will be the first place they look for any surviving jedi." He said and you nodded.
"I know how to lay low" You said tariling off slightly before continuing.
"Anakin was a dear friend of mine. I need to make sure his daughter is safe and I couldn't trust anyone more than you with that task" You told him and he smiled.
"Thank you old friend" He said before walking off to talk with his crew.
Obi Wan soon joined you in the hall.
You adjusted his burned robes. Nothing but your expression would show the great tragedy that had just happened.
"You'll need something new to wear, your robes are burnt" You said and Obi Wan heaved a laugh. It was rough and unnatural and not from amusement.
"How do you do that? After everything that just happened how can you be so- so unbothered?" He asked and you smiled sadly at him.
"Obi, I am very bothered. I'm in pain and in mourning but I can't-" A tear fell down your cheek as you choked back a sob.
"I can't stop working, can't stop trying to help. Trying to make things better" You said softly and he wrapped you in his arms.
"This is goodbye, isn't it?" he asked. You nodded.
"I hope I see you again" You said, caressing his cheek.
"As do I darling" He said and you leaned into his embrace, your face so close to his.
"I want to kiss you, just this once, before we go our separate ways" You said and Obi Wan closed the distance between your lips. It was a chaste kiss filled with the loss of missed love and a need to express feelings barely said.
"Stay safe Obi" You told him.
"The same to you my dear" He said and you let go of his embrace.
"Goodbye" You said and he watched you leave.
"Goodbye Y/N, may the force be with you ,my love" He said just loud enough for you to hear.
I've got you Anon <3
If anyone else would like to ask me anything, go for it!
------
Their latest campaign has been a disaster, and Plo Koon does his best to locate the bodies of his men among the debris.
He only manages to find about ten of them, and he hopes the Force takes the lost children he cannot find into its embrace.
The ride back to The Triumphant is a somber one, and after a general debriefing, Plo Koon just seems to vanish before anyone notices. It's not often he uses his Jetti powers on them, so the alarm bells are already ringing among the bridge crew. Plo Koon's quarters are not where a traditional Jetti's is located, the man having moved to the lower decks to be able to be a few floors above his men's barracks. He enjoyed meditating and feeling the ebb and flow of his children in the Force, and they enjoyed having their buir close by.
This made it quite easy for a few worried troopers to go check in on the Jetti, led by Comet who bypassed the lock with ease.
"I do not believe I've called anyone." Plo Koon is hovering in the air, meditating in front of his window bathed with the glow of hyperspace. He may be no Jetti, but Comet knows when someone is trying to put on the illusion of keeping busy, so he steps inside without hesitation.
"No offense general, but you did." The commander didn't flinch when the master craned his head towards him and knelt down beside the other. There's a moment before Plo sets himself on the floor, and the other troopers who had been standing at the door slowly file inside.
"Did you need backup?" He feels someone kneel behind him, and another trooper sits by his other side.
"Yes."
"I see."
Plo can feel the concern and worry from his children all but being shouted into the Force, and his already aching heart feels worse.
"You've said we can come to you for anything buir..." The trooper behind him starts, and after a moment, continues. "We want to return the favor, like you have so many times before. No one should mourn alone."
"...it gets harder every time you fall." The way Plo's shoulders slump made the troopers spike with worry, and Comet takes the action to hug the Jetti to his side.
"Go, get a space ready." The commander glances over his shoulder, and the troopers were up and gone before Plo could even blink. He really should say something, but leaning against Comet with his constant thrum of safety concern love is just so comforting, he can't possibly move, can he?
Eventually, his door opens, and so many of his children seem to flood his room. They've got a few mattresses, pillows, and blankets that Plo had brought on board, and as one they move his furniture to the hallway temporarily to have more floor space. Soon the nest is complete, and Plo gets to his feet to inspect the construct.
"You all amaze me every day."
"We can say that same." Wolffe said as he entered, still not pleased with Plo running from them instead of confiding, but not surprised. He's holding a mug of something, and watches as Plo sits in the middle of the cushion pile in his meditation pose.
No one was sure who would move first, but to no one's surprise, it was Wolffe. The officer is able to slip out of his boots easily enough, offering Plo the cup in his hand as he props himself up with a pillow. It's his favorite tea, and the Jedi sips slowly as slowly, more men join the commander. The Jedi watches those who can't wait just sit around, chatting softly about random things while pouring support and love into the Force, as if they'd been trained like any other Padawan. He's not sure when he leans back against Wolffe, nor when another one of his children hugs his other side, but the Jedi opens himself to the Force.
It does feel better to mourn with those who understand, and for once draw some strength so as not to lose himself in the pain.
Plo Koon doesn't have nightmares, the love from his children driving them far away.
Can I request headcanons for anakin falling in love with plo koon's padawan and the couple facing homophbia from every one expet obi-wan, plo, Yoda and the clones. And jealous padmae. And them receiving permission to marry from Yoda
Anakin Skywalker x Jedi reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
I tried to come up with a good reason why the reader and Anakin are allowed to be together, hope you enjoy. I’m also gonna change canon as I see fit in this ;)
featuring some Tatooine culture hcs
  Holy fuck, this became a lot longer than I had planned
-          Anakin and you had been found on Tatooine together, from what Shmi told Qui-gon, you were born the same way Anakin was. The force gifted you to your mother, but she was not willing to keep you, so she gave you to Shmi and ran away.
-          You and Anakin were both supernovas in the force, and deeply connected to each other. You always knew what the other wanted, and what the other was thinking. You could even feel each other’s thoughts and emotions.
-          Qui-gon seemed put off by your deep connection, or how you would both panic and burst into tears if separated for too long. When Anakin went on the podrace, Shmi had to hold you the entire time as you cried.
-          Anakin had still asked if Padme was an angel when they first met, but it had been more from your shared curiosity than anything else. This seemed to seed something in Padme, a connection to Anakin or similar.
-          So, when Anakin ran to his mother and you, and immediately hugged you close and completely ignored the other people there, Padme crossed her arms and huffed.
-          Seeing as you were equally strong in the force as Anakin, you were taken with the group back to coruscant. When you all met Palpatine, you were on edge, especially when you felt the dark tendrils from him reaching for Anakin.
-          You used your own force presence to snap at him, imagining you were a krayt dragon as you clamped your teeth around the darkness. You had always been able to move things or felt the force with your mind more, unlike Anakin who seemed more physically strong.
-          Things pass like in canon, though Padme is quite rude to you through the whole thing, and most of the council seems annoyed or even scared of your connection. Qui-gon says he will train Anakin and you both start crying, not wanting to be split.
-          This is where Yoda explains that you are a dyad, meaning you are two beings connected in the force, almost like soulmates. Yoda seems quite happy about having a dyad in the jedi, so he agrees to let the two of you join, though other masters except for Plo Koon object.
-          Things happen, Qui-gon dies, Obi wan becomes Anakin’s master. You both cry but agree for Anakin to go with Obi wan back to their quarters. Through your link in the force Anakin and you hold each other.
-          During the battle of Naboo, you use your skills in telekinesis and alike to fight. Though before everyone splits up, Padme glares at you and tells you not to mess up.
-          You stand alone in the hallway, having been left there with no jedi or master to tell you where to go. That’s when a kind voice speaks behind you, you turn and see one of the masters from the jedi Council.
-          He introduces himself as Plo Koon, and says he would like to take you as his padawan, as he himself is very skilled with telekinesis and feels you would be a great student.
-          You feel his intentions through the force and see he only wants good, and since you don’t want to lose Anakin, you agree.
-          As you go to his quarters, he tells you of his last Padawan Lissarkh who became a knight and of her time as his padawan. You know he does it to try and help you feel less out of place and positive out the experience.
-          As years pass you and Anakin grow up together, as close as always. You get your crystals together, build your sabers together, spar and meditate together. You are even each other’s first kiss and start dating as teens in secret.
-         Padme still seems set on Anakin being meant for her, and becomes meaner to you as time goes on. This results in Anakin trying to distance himself from her but its impossible when hes being sent on missions to her.
-          What the two of you don’t know is that your masters know you’re together. Both Obi wan and Plo have caught you cuddling and even sneaking kisses every now and then. The two masters just look at eachother and shake their heads in good nature. They will wait for you two to tell them when you’re ready.
-          The only other being who seems to realize you are together is Yoda. This results in a very awkward time when he invites the two of you to his quarters, feeds you his root stew and tea and goes over the birds and the bees with you. Both Anakin and yourself become scarred for life by this conversation.
-          Yoda does convince the two of you to come out to your masters. You both needed to convince each other and help one another with doing so. You’re still scared to be kicked from the order, but you both know Yoda is on your side.
-          To your shared surprise, your masters are happy and accepting of your relationship. Obi wan going as far as to roll his eyes and say finally.
-          With the approval of three grand masters of the order, as obi wan has become a master at this point, you can date in public. What the two of you hadn’t accounted for was homophobia.
-          You had never thought of the cores opinion on same sex relationships and alike, as on Tatooine you loved whoever you wanted. It wasn’t unusual for the same gender to date, or for multiple people to date on your home planet. So, it had never been weird for the two of you.
-          So, when beings who had been your friends in the past, started to avoid you both and talk behind your backs it confused you. Especially when they started to call you words you both didn’t understand as they were core words. But you knew from the way their presence felt in the force that they weren’t good.
-          You ended up quietly asking Plo what those words meant, and you almost jumped in your seat when you felt anger flare up inside your master. He released most into the force, explained that they had been calling you slurs, and that he would take care of it.
-          He must have given them all a chewing out and punishment, as they stopped saying it to your faces, but they kept glaring and avoiding Anakin and you.
-          It didn’t help as when the news reached Padme, she saw red and ordered for you to never be invited to any mission involving her or her system, and she started to openly insult you and even going as far as to convince Anakin to leave you.
  -          When the clone wars happened, you were split up even though you hated it. Over the years you had trained your attachment and connection, so even if you were far apart you could always feel each other through the force.
-          The two of you were knighted on the same day, and Yoda looked so smug the entire time. He offered you both celebratory stew, but you made up excuses not too as you were stilled scarred from last time.
-          You got your own squad of clones called the 150th, and they painted their armor in the same color as your saber. This was to honor the fact that you had saved them from decommissioning, and they became quite protective of you. It was a small squad with only a few hundred compared to the larger number of others, but this made you extremely effective to undercover or other sensitive missions.
-          You teamed up regularly with the 104th, and so bonded with the wolffe squad as they were also called, and the two battalions of clones grew close.
-          You also teamed up with the 501st and 212th regularly, though not as much as your former master.
-          You hadn’t planned on telling your battalions of your relationship, because of the reaction everyone seemed to have when they learned.
-          But that went out the window when Rex and your commander walked in on you and Anakin hurriedly making out on the planning table.
-          You had both flustered and tried to stutter out excuses, but Rex just face palmed and told you that this wasn’t the best place for this, and your commander gave Anakin the `I’m watching you` motion with his fingers and told him not to hurt you before the clones left.
-          After that it seemed to spread to all clone battalions that you were together, as none of them ever even looked twice at the two of you being affectionate and alike.
-          Though it did result in some of them, like Fives and a clone from your battalion called Splash, asking for dating advice or how to pick up a date from a bar.
-          Both Fives and Splash were disappointed when you explained your dyad connection, so you had just always known you were meant for each other.
-          During a lull in the war, you were all back at the temple. Your battalions were on break, and you could all relax.
-          Though Anakin was doing anything but relaxing, and you could feel it through your bond. You tried to poke at the bond to ask if he was alright, but he closed himself off from you for the first time ever.
-          This made you panic, so you ran around from Plo, to Obi wan, to your battalions and even to Yoda. They all told you not to worry about it, and all were smiling like they knew something you didn’t.
-          What you didn’t know was that Anakin had wanted to propose for a while, and his men had convinced him to ask your former masters and Yoda, so he did. He was expecting the worst, as the three masters went into another room, leaving Anakin sitting at Yoda’s table with a mug of his swamp tea.
-          When they came out, they told him they agreed in letting you marry. They would use the loophole that you were a dyad to allow it. Anakin jumped up and hugged the three masters, before running out of the room.
-          When Anakin proposed, it was when it was just the two of you. It was late at night, and you had been sparring, and you had him pinned down. He was panting as he asked you to marry him. You were shocked and froze, and he had to repeat himself more clearly. When he said he had been given approval you teared up, hugged him close and said yes.
-          Anakin didn’t have a ring, as on Tatooine those kinds of things just weren’t used as they could be stolen. You had your word, and on your wedding night you would both tattoo a ring around your ring fingers to symbolize marriage.
-          You kept your wedding a secret, well, mostly. Yoda, Plo, Obi wan and all of your platoons were there. You had to go to an unknown planet for all the clones the wedding had to fit.
-          Your former masters and generals were your best men, and Yoda was the one to officialize your marriage.
-          The green jedi went on for a long time with a speech, talking about ancient times, dyads and connections and the will of the force. When he finally told you to kiss, Anakin swept you off your feet and planted his lips on yours.
-          All your men burst into cheers, so loud you bet the neighboring planet could hear them. When you pulled apart, you both saw Obi wan dabbing tears out of his eyes, and you could tell Plo was brimming with pride.
-          You partied for days, as was Tattooine tradition. And during the first night you tattooed each other, before sharing the night together like newlyweds.
-          If you took many embarrassing pictures of your former masters and men, they would never know, as many were too drunk to realize.
-          After your marriage, it kept on as usual. Everyone still thought you were dating, and you didn’t correct them.
-          It was revealed through Anakin and your collaborative work that Palpatine was the sith lord, and was behind the war.
-          Before he could use order 66, you defeated him together. When he died it was like a deep darkness was lifted off the galaxy.
-          The next many months was spent on free the clones and making them their own people, and removing the chips form their brains. Many clones decided to stay close to their trusted jedi, and the clones were given a planet to live on.
-          On this planet Anakin and you, and many other nicer Jedi and beings set up homes amongst the clones.
-          It seemed that after Palpatine was dead and the darkness lifted, the deep homophobia and hatred seemed to leave some of the jedi, and it was found out some had been manipulated by the sith in hopes of it turning the two of you. There were still some who hated you both for your love, but you ignored them like always.
-          After the war, you both decided to take a vacation. You hadn’t been allowed to have a honeymoon because of the war, so with your masters and Yoda’s approval, you grabbed a ship and flew off to sightsee across the galaxy.
-          You had also maybe decided to leave because your married status would be revealed to the galaxy, and you both knew how Padme and others would explode at the knowledge. You knew when the information was given, because you could feel her temper tantrum all the way on the other side of the galaxy.
-          When you felt it, the two of you look at each other with wide eyes, and burst out laughing. Anakin leant in and kissed you lovingly, his hand intertwined with yours as you looked over the triple sunset of the planet you were on, the sky a beautiful mix of purples and pinks, as cotton shaped clouds passed overhead.
Unexpected Visit
Plo Koon x Reader
Word Count: 651
Tumblr media
It was often the case that you’d spend the night with Plo, sometimes you’d just talk for hours, or he’d teach you to meditate and the ways of the Force. You weren’t very good, but you enjoyed the company regardless. But during these nights, you knew you needed to sneak out the following morning to avoid being seen by anyone.
    ‘I’ll see you in a few days.’ You said, quietly as you wrapped your shawl around your shoulders. You began slipping on any jewellery you had taken off the previous night.
    ‘Why not tonight?’ Plo slid his large hands around your waist, pulling you back against his chest. You loved it when he held you so close to his body, his warmth was everything.
    ‘You know why,’ you chuckled. ‘I have to work.’
    ‘I’d rather you didn’t.’
    Plo began filling your head with the most delicious images of nights gone by.
    You turned immediately and scowled, unable to stop smiling. ‘Stop.’ You said firmly, and the images of Plo making your body writhe beneath him were gone. ‘You know how difficult I find it when you use your Jedi mind tricks like that.’
    Plo sighed as you gently pulled away, trying to find your shoes.
    ‘I would like to spend more time with you.’ He said. You turned and smiled at him.
    ‘You always say that.’
    ‘I always mean it.’
    ‘And yet…’
    ‘And yet.’
    You both knew you wanted to spend more than a night here and there together, you wanted whole days with Plo, but he was unsure how the Wolfpack would react to him being in a relationship with a politician. He loved you and that should have been all that mattered, but with the war going on, neither of you needed the stress of his boys finding out such a huge piece of news.
    ‘I’ll see you in a few days.’ You repeated, placing a kiss to his anti-ox mask. ‘Try not to get into too much trouble while I’m gone.’
    Plo’s hands went straight to your waist once again, drifting up your body, just holding it one last time before you left.
    ‘I could say the same to you, Senator.’ His voice was low and penetrating, just the way he knew it got to you.
    As he spoke, your hand found the touchpad for the door, making it open as you giggled like a teenager. It was also the same moment, Commander Wolffe had arrived unexpectedly to wake Plo for an emergency mission.
    ‘General? Senator?’ He said, confused at seeing you both in such a way. Plo’s hands immediately dropped. He straightened up and you both put as much distance as you could between you, at least as much as could be allowed standing in the doorway to Plo’s private rooms. ‘What’s going on?’
    You were both at a loss for what to say, you’d never needed to come up with an excuse before.
    ‘I was just leaving.’ You stuttered, giving Plo a quick smile, one that aimed for polite, but verged more on unsure.
    ‘Yes, it was…’ Plo tried to finish the sentence, but anything that came to mind seemed weak at best.
    ‘We should talk in more detail about… about the treaty.’
    ‘The treaty, yes!’ Plo responded far too enthusiastically, just relieved that some excuse could be made.
    You just gave a sweet smile, knowing that Wolffe wasn’t fooled by your excuses. ‘In a few days then, Master Plo. Commander Wolffe.’
    You left Plo and Wolffe alone and hoped Plo could simmer the situation for himself. You just prayed that Wolffe took everything positively.
    ‘Wolffe?’ Plo indicated for his Commander to tell him the reason he was standing there.
    Wolffe folded his arms and arched his eyebrow, making Plo worry for a moment.
    ‘So, I guess we take orders from mom now?’
    Plo threw his head back laughing in relief. Maybe everything would be okay.
(Watching Plo Koon and Obi-Wan.)
Qui-Gon: He'd love to get at me any way he could, that's why he offered to meditate with Obi-Wan.
Qui-Gon: He's trying to prove he's closer to my Padawan than I am.
Qui-Gon: But jokes on him because he doesn't know how little I care about Obi-Wan.
(Keeps watching.)
Alright I’ve had some thoughts since the “Rate My Jedi” thing so here’s some classes/electives the Jedi temple should have:
Bug Diplomacy
As seen in the Rate My Jedi post Obi-Wan Kenobi teaches Bug Diplomacy, mostly bc he wants to teach people to stay alive long enough to capture bugs to bring to him for his science experimentation. This class includes basic bug biology (super offensive if you confuse a space bee for a space wasp) as well as understanding bug body language.
Meditation
All Jedi have some form of meditation that they teach their students. Kenobi does the classic “sit cross legged and think for a while” but with some guided meditation. Yoda does the “think n’ float” with no guidance but the floating makes him feel tall also you may hear voices of dead ppl telling you to walk into swamps. When Kit Fisto tells you to lie in some water for a while you think he sounds out of his mind but you try it and it actually really helps. Depa likes to do meditation using lightsaber stances which is approved by many padawans.
Skywalker Time
Sometimes when Mace gets bored or thinks his students need a break he sends them to be taught by Anakin for an hour or so. Anakin gets really confused bc he’s not 100% sure on how to interact with kids who aren’t ahsoka so Mace returns after an hour and finds his padawans now know how to hotwire a speeder or have learned how to program a droid to speak like yoda. It amuses him and the padawans think it’s fun.
Sew With Plo’s Bros
Plo teaching sewing. It’s fun and allows the padawans to take a break while staying focussed on a task. It’s usually something simple. Wolffe joins in sometimes.
