I got a succulent plant at work the other day and I had to water it yesterday so I had a little napkin under the container to catch the water. When I came in today

the night cleaning crew had put a little cup bottom under it! They did it for my deskmate’s succulent too! They are too sweet. I never would have thought to cut the bottom off a cup for this!

While on vacation I went to a nature center and they had a trail that followed a path of a tornado that had hit the center a few years ago.

The center had turned the destroyed area in the path of the tornado into an educational trail that teaches about succession :D

Also, take a look at THIS:

You can see where the tornado literally twisted this mature tree like a straw wrapper, and this was only an F1 tornado. *intense fear*

Zucchini I think :) green! Nice flowers. BIG leaves that can shade other plants. [Insert human pollination joke that somehow relates to writing weird erotica here]. A good friend to have and a good producer but if you found others like me WATCH OUT you have a lot of zooks now!!! Great cooked with butter and with a little lemon and cheese :)

“I don’t mind it, I guess,” Night was saying. “I just have no clue where she got ‘Noot’ from.”

Dream shifted their skirts as they settled beside their brother. “Why don’t you ask her?”

Night exhaled audibly. “I tried. She just looks at me.”

And given their brother, Dream didn’t doubt he provided perfectly logical reasons why the child should answer him. The mental image made Dream giggle, “Well, from your name, obviously.”

Night looked skeptical, so they elaborated, “Well, once she learned that Mare wasn’t ‘Kitty’, she needed another name for him. And since you’re ‘Daddy’, she likely assumed the other name people use around you must be Mare’s, since you two are rarely apart. And ‘Noot’’s just a simpler way of saying ‘Night’.”

Night grimaced over to where Ari had curled up with Mare. “I guess,” he said.

Ari (Arboris Folium) is... uh, we’ve mentioned her a couple times. I’ve been meaning to write up her origin story, but I need to do a bit of tree research first. Anyway, she’s Night and Mare’s kid from the coup timeline, accidentally created through tree science.

miscommunication at my workplace a few months ago led to an unknown persons disposing of untreated soybeans in the wrong spot, which then became a soybean disaster zone when a skid loader picked up said soybean pile on accident and spread soybeans everywhere in the sloped parking lot while backing up over bumps like a comedy skit, which then caused cars to drive over them regularly until they got crushed into tiny soybean pieces that often ended up on the curb by a grassy area with a couple trees. as you can imagine this has been huge for the local birds, the dark eyed junkos specifically. the moral is that sometimes you just hit it big as a little guy

I have been trying to ID all of my plants, a challenge since there are 80-100 of them now (really)

This experience has been incredible. A person can spend their entire life thinking that growing beautiful plants is incredibly difficult and requires spending hundreds of dollars on plants. Meanwhile almost all of my plants have been pulled up by the roots from pavement or gravel and furnished with nothing but potting soil in a red solo cup with holes cut in the bottom.

And not only are most of them thriving, I have like 2 dozen species that people pay good money for. What
