Maya loved that her man wanted to spend time with her, however she knew the undertones if she’d not accept his offer to come see him; non-stop txt, calls & calls to other friends to get another helping hand to get his girlfriend to come see him.The asshole was a lot of work, he however made Maya happy, hence why she puts up with chaos.

Fixing her mid-back length black hair into a ponytail, Maya had found herself looking into the floor-length mirror within the hotel room.She didn’t always have the best view of her appearance, ever since meeting Chris though things were changing.Smiling, Maya was quick to send a pic to her love an continued to get ready for the payback dinner date.

The people wore some kind of dark clothing, Maya felt confident in her choice, she didn’t really want to bring attention to herself; black glasses balanced on nose, makeup done naturally on porcelain skin, black long-sleeve shirt with white designs, black skinny jeans & grey Creepers.Lights dimmed, crowd mumbled in excitement & Maya felt her heart beat like it was in a race; the concert for, Motionless In White was now upon everyone.

The bang of a drum, strum of a guitar, screams of the crowd; Motionless In White was already becoming a bigger hit as the seconds passed.Maya had to cover her ears for a time, not able to help herself in rolling her eyes at abandoning earplugs.There they were, the full group of legends all upon the stage; Vinny Mauro(drummer), Ryan Sitkowski(lead guitarist), Ricky Olson(rhythm guitarist), Justin Morrow(bass guitarist) & Chris Motionless(frontline vocals).

Five songs in and people were already doing a mosh-pit, adrenaline was going strong.Maya was all for the energy, she loved to sway to the music an close her eyes in bliss.It was never realized that when she was within her own world that a good looking blonde had been watching her from time to time.

The crowd kept cheering, kept moshing and Maya kept rolling with the flow.The good looking blonde still couldn’t take his eyes off her an decided to do something about it, however going about doing it was a great shock.“Sorry people but I’ve got to interrupt the festivities.For two years now I’ve been seeing someone.I’ve now become this sickly-sweet love guy an have no regrets about it”.

Drop.fucking.dead is all Maya wanted to do.The poor woman’s head was starting to spin, funny enough she didn’t light a joint yet.Two years was close enough outta the, baby-stage, how things were in getting brought up though was madness.

__1 day later

Chris knew he would be in the doghouse, he knew as soon as he put things on stage that he’d been seeing someone, Maya would go for his ass.Not talking & not looking in Chris’ direction even when he’s in the room; Maya was silently torturing him.

Click, click; the only message of the world between two individuals was from a camera.Running a hand through his short dyed-blonde hair Chris got an idea while looking at the photo he took of Maya looking naturally beautiful in having just went on the terrace to spark a joint.

In the doghouse right now, no fucking surprise here (lol).I really do like to say that how things came about yesterday could’ve waited, like today as a matter of fact.

Not much time is given when on tour, I lost my mind a bit once able to see my lovely @manicmaya.Met my other half outside a bar two years ago, I still remember how she looked; glasses, no makeup, shoulder-length hair, stained grey shirt (some douche not paying attention where he was walking), white skinny jeans & black boots.

Been through so many things already that could break any couple but with us it didn’t; depression, Weed & binging alcohol.Does Maya still smoke a joint or drink a beer, yes, I however don’t care as long as she stays to the steps for herself to be safe.

Love this woman of mine with all my being- C😊

By sending the post out, Chris felt like it was a step for himself taking responsibility for being a fucking idiot to the entire world in how he handled things the other day.He really didn’t want his woman mad at him anymore.

“I really don’t know what to do with you sometimes”.Maya looked at Chris with a raised brow from where she stood at the opening leading out to the terrace.Her crazy man couldn’t stop the grin on his face.“..Worth every moment of those times you don’t know what to do with me”.

All became right with the world as Chris was able to get up from the squishy-hotel bed an hold Maya.Others on the social network had a different experience.

hhhh all those hair cutting prompts got me thinkin,,, abt creighton’s hair,,,,,, which i actually have a lot of hcs abt,,,, you can basically tell how old he is based on the length of his hair in my hcs it’s rlly important to him and UH pls indulge me while i rant abt this cus aaaaa hair hair hair

i mean to start it off, this all goes back to my hc abt how undead age, physically-speaking, which is that all processes of ageing Stop once an undead becomes a certain amount of hollow, so things like hair, beards, and nails stop growing. that only continues, along with the regular ageing process, when fully human. so like i said, you can kinda tell how old creighton is by his hair since Big Life Events sparked him using effigies, which caused his hair to start growing again, until he inevitably died, which caused it to stop. so yeah!!

as a human, his hair was LONG AS SHIT and well-maintained since he was semi-royalty. he kept it braided most of the time cus it legit was just way too much to deal with, esp as a warrior, but it was a sign of his status (and made him look more like his granddad uwu) and so he kept it longgg

once doing the whole murderspree killing thing and defecting (and dying oops), he ended up chopping all his hair off, which is where the Worst Cut Bangs In Majula came from — just this real emotional visceral Fuck Mirrah moment of getting rid of one of the things that most tied him to his status, title, and fam

by the time we meet him in the game, his hair has grown to about shoulder length, just enough to be tied back under his coif, but he still has those fuckawful bangs that stick out a tiny bit in the front. short bangs = pre-tseldora incident/game events

i usually draw/write him post-tseldora stuff (or ds3-era), where using an effigy and spending time as a human to work stuff out with pate left him looking much better. his bangs finally grew out to a decent length, but he kept them still sticking out cus it’s a fuckin Look tbh (okay no he’s just lazy but it IS a look i mean come tf on)

NO BALD CREIGHTON STANS IN MY HOUSE listen by the time ds3 rolls around a million years has passed and his hair has finally grown out, been cut, been cared for, and although it’s a lot thinner is finally all a single length and ALL able to be tied back, which is why you don’t see his hair sticking out when he invades u in ds3!! finally took care of his fuckin self smh. i draw him like this a lot too uwu

bb verse is where his hair is the absolute worst, since he was so neglected and abused in the church, it was hardly ever washed, hardly ever brushed, it just turned into an irredeemable mess, and he continued to neglect his hair even after escaping since it just wasn’t something he was used to doing for himself :( god bless anyone who tries to help

modern and neo stuff is where his hair is healthiest tbh, nice layers and some decent volume and an average length. antipsychotics / a kingdom that isn’t 10000% corrupt works wonders on a man, and so he’s able to take better care of himself and his body :)

Practical Tips on getting your fics out there!

I’ve gotten an influx of these types of questions here recently, and the more i thought about what i was gonna add, it became really long :(

disclaimer: a lot of the things i bring up are just from personal experience as a writer on this site, what my followers have told me they appreciate, and what i tend to look for when im looking for fics to read! If you don’t like these tips then pls move on :)

although i’ll mention them, i’m also not going to be focusing on cliche tips like “write for yourself” or “grammar issues” cause those are pretty obvious!

1. accessibility of your blog

when you’re trying to get your name out there, make sure that you’re creating an inviting experience for any potential followers! this includes:

a memorable url! be creative!

have some fun designing your blog’s aesthetic! (i love cute blogs because it reflects a bit of the writer’s personality), and (i prefer blogs with white backgrounds because it’s easier to look through/read, say, in contrast to a pitch black one where the words need to be white!)

put your masterlist link in your bio (even better if you can link most recent fic! found this most helpful when i revisit authors that i like and can easily see if they’ve updated or not)

an organized and easy-to-navigate masterlist (personally, i prefer masterlists organized by band, instead of types of fics ie. i hate when i have to choose between drabbles, oneshots, and series masterlists; i really prefer to see them altogether!) --> see section 3

organized tags (if you’re going to be posting a lot of non-fic-related content like pictures or videos, tag them properly so followers can sort through and find your fics easily!), or (if you’re going to be writing in different mediums like drabbles, or answering asks, make sure to use a unified #mine or #writing or #fics to centralize your content)

2. get your name out there!

write write write! once you have some fics that show your talent, don’t be shy!

join writing groups: when i first started out, I joined a bunch of groups that would reblog my fics in the midst of the content of much bigger writers; these blogs developed a following, and as a result of my content mixing in with bigger blogs’ content, so did my own tumblr! there’s been a stigma recently with these groups, but im sure you can find one thats supportive and not clique-y!

send your fics to rec pages: what’s the harm? the only bad thing that can happen is that they ignore you! who cares! get out there!

if you can do the above, i really encourage you to ask your fave writers for advice/to read your fic: again, the worst that can happen is that they say no or don’t respond or don’t have enough time, but it’ll be a good opportunity to get some feedback! i for one read (or try to read) every single rec that falls into my inbox. if i like it, i’ll #rec it, and if i don’t, unless the writer asks me for feedback, i move on!!

utilize your tags!!: i’m not entirely sure if this is still the same or not, but from my memory, it’s the first 3-5 tags that matter the most? so utilize them well; push back the tags that aren’t really relevant (ie. #writing, #fics) and push more the main subject line of what you wrote (ie. jungkook fluff, bts smut, namjoon angst). these will populate your fics into the tags better!

headers!: when i’m scrolling through an infinite page of fics, the headers catch my eye the most; try being creative! you can find a lot of info out there on how to make ur headers super aesthetic, but i can share my tips too! --> see section 3

3. your masterlist

here are some practical tips!

organize by band, not type of fic/member/centralize your masterlist: i went onto a blog recently and clicked their bio mlist link to find a page full of 20~ish “JUNGKOOK MASTERLIST”/ “JAEHYUN MASTERLIST” and when i clicked on each one, they only had like 2 or 3 fics per member. i think it would’ve been better if she’d centralized all her fics! that keeps whoever is looking interested and more likely to click on another fic while browsing

add info about the fics!: when scrolling through a masterlist, it’s easy to get lost; try to add some snippets of info (ie. a short sentence you liked from the fic, a quick summary, a description of the au/scenario, or even a header!) this all gives some info about the fics you have tagged!

headers: this isn’t a requirement, but i personally love a good header on fics i read and i love making them myself as i finish up a fic and get ready to upload it; here are free sources: unsplash for HQ stock pics, crop/edit/filter in VSCO, and then add aesthetic script with fontcandy)

try to fill it up!: after i visit a blog after reading one good fic, i usually browse through their mlist to see if there are any more that i’d be interested in. if there’s a lot to look forward to, i’ll almost always follow; try to write as much as you can in the first few months to try and fill up your mlist and give blog viewers a reason to visit your blog again, follow, or even reblog your content!)

4. try not to reproduce cliche fics:

honestly tumblr’s writing community (and armys) has grown insanely these past few years and, unfortunately, even from my perspective, in the past 3-4 years, all the writers have sort of become blended together in my brain. but, i can say that the ones who consistently stand out are the ones who produce consistent content and think outside of the box!

i tend to gravitate towards fics that have really interesting plotlines (ex. btssavedmylifeblr’s VOID is always a surprise to read because it’s sO unique! i usually don’t read ot7 fics but this one is legit my fave)

I know it’s tempting to try and just write typical smut fics to try and gain some traction, but tumblr is already too overloaded by that kind of content; try to write something that’s special and unique! this will set u apart from the thousands of other writers here --> see next section

5. create unique fics:

this is also personal to my writing style, but i get so bored writing just casual fics about the members, and it affects the fics i choose to read too; i prefer unique fics which you can achieve through:

circumstance/au: create a fun au!; don’t just create an arranged marriage, create an arranged marriage in joseon dynasty, or between a werewolf and a hunter! (shameless self plug); don’t just give me friends to lovers, but give me spiderman!jungkook friends to lovers! (ie. cupofteaguk’s exchanges)

jobs: give them out-of-the-ordinary jobs; don’t just give me enemies to lovers, but give me rival!anchors who end up loving eachother! (ie. jimlingss The Newscasters)

fun dialogue: create good back-and-forth, (something i’m still working on!)! this will help your characters develop personality, and that way, readers will start to develop that themselves as well (ie. dad!yoongi from insemination wars by prolixitae is such a specific character that i love so much!, or obiwrites’ garden characters were so memorable!)

create memorable personalities: don’t give me a flat character, try to develop 4d personalities in all of your characters! (im still working on this too!) this way you can really make an impression on your followers! a great way to practice/recognize this is: “Ask my Character.” Can your followers ask a specific character a specific question, and would you be able to deliver an answer that is very specific to that character’s tone/voice/personality? If yes, then ur doing well! If not, try to think of ways that you can make tht specific character from a specific story, really unique and separate from your other characters.

6. some practical writing tips

be yourself, write for your own pleasure, blah blah blah; yeah you know already haha but here are a few more practical tips!

grammar check: if you can, try and hone your grammar! makes for an easier read

write like you: i personally LOVE this by obiwrites, but even the way she writes exudes her personality and is so specific; try not to be caught up in adding hundreds of synonyms and exquisite language; in fact, simpling it down and being more concise and honest with your writing is better than a superfluous sentence; this will also give ur characters so much more dimension and funk

use those commas/sentence variation: try to use more commas; this will feel like you’re the narrator to your own story; it also makes it more fluid to read in my opinion, over those short. clipped. sentences. (ie. “he came over, sitting down on the corner of your bed with an expression you’d never seen before” over “he walked over. he sat down, looking sad.”)

half-half dialogue/narration: a fic with too much dialogue can get confusing, and a fic with too much narration can get dry; try to balance them out, and weave in and out of each!

quality over quantity: don’t feel burdened to write a 30k word fic. in fact, i think some of the shorter fics (ie. any of versigny’s stuff) made a bigger impression on me over the longer fics because they were short, left me wanting more, and were just so high-quality in such small quantities. try out your hand at drabbles and one-shots, and don’t feel too burdened to try and develop a series right off the bat!

abandon pigeon-holes: i’m guilty of this; i start series and then end up with no vision for the stories and they end up giving me writers block. its okay. just stop or discontinue them or leave them on a hiatus; it’s okay. your priority is yourself, and if abandoning certain works are part of that, then go ahead. it’ll help you progress more.

and finally.......

ARATA/AOI: (sighs)

(Arata puts the tablet down)

ARATA: Alright, Aoi-kun. Let’s think about this positively.

ARATA: We’ve already accepted the situation.

ARATA: This time, we can deduce several things about it.

AOI: Meaning?

ARATA: First is this: The amount of uproar based on the truth that it’s just a misunderstanding of the picture in question will increase on the timeline.

AOI: Uh… I’m not too keen on having his profile exposed but… I also get where you’re coming from…

ARATA: Number two.

ARATA: That suspicion on “Satsuki Aoi’s Heart-Throbbing (Star Mark) Late Night Shopping District Date” has already been disputed by the agency itself.

ARATA: Everything’s leading to the truth and gradually, evidence will prove that we’re not lying.

AOI: I can only sense evil since you’re trying to make this into a full-blown case but… You’re right.

AOI: Eh…? S-sorry, it’s hard to tell. In any case, you’re shocked, too, aren’t you…?

ARATA: Yeah.

ARATA: (sighs and then plops down on his seat)

ARATA: Thinking about it calmly… He’s been so cool for as long as I remember…

ARATA: He’s smart. He’s got a good personality…

ARATA: It’d be weirder if he didn’t have a girlfriend. I know that…

ARATA: But I’m still so shocked.

AOI: Yeah, that’s true…

AOI: I know I should probably congratulate him but I don’t know why I’m so shocked…

ARATA: This is, you know?

ARATA: It doesn’t sit well because Chi-chan doesn’t seem to be into that kind of thing.

ARATA: The impact of the “late night date” article being posted without notice is too huge.

AOI: Eh? Back in middle school and high school, I feel like I saw him with people who looked like they could be his girlfriend…

ARATA: (takes a deep breath) Really…?

AOI: Yeah… They were walking together and they were holding hands and stuff… I think that they were probably his girlfriend…?

AOI: But, that time it wasn’t really much of a shock to me…

AOI: I was only thrilled for him…

ARATA: By the way, right now, I’m really…

ARATA: I’m really a lot more shocked now.

AOI: Ah, I’m sorry somehow.

ARATA: (exasperated) Ah, forget it… For now, let’s just say I’m super shocked.

ARATA: I’m so shocked…

ARATA: Chi-chan is someone I admire, too. Though, in a different way from Hajime-san.

ARATA: And that Chi-chan is…

ARATA: Going on a “Heart Throbbing… Star Mark… Late night shopping district date…”

ARATA: Ahhhh!!!

AOI: Seeing a different side to Arata like this makes me feel kinda calmer…

ARATA: You traitor!!

AOI: In any case, sitting around here will do nothing. I’ll go call Nii-san and confirm.

ARATA: Confirm what?

ARATA: Like, the name of his girlfriend? Where they first met? (whining) I don’t want that!!

ARATA: I don’t wanna hear it. What are you gonna do if he talks of her sweetly?!

ARATA: I’ll be too shocked… I probably won’t be able to drink strawberry milk for a while, y’know?

AOI: At least, your sugar level will go down.

AOI: Alright…! I’ll go call him right away.

ARATA: Aoi-kun’s manliness is too much once he’s recovered!

RECEPTIONIST: Please let me introduce you two inside first.

ARATA: Chi-chan’s not here yet?

AOI: Looks like it.

RECEPTIONIST: Welcome. Please let me handle your coats. Go ahead inside, please.

RECEPTIONIST: (to the staff inside) Reservation number 5 has arrived!

(Arata and Aoi are walking inside)

ARATA: By the way, why was it under Tsukishiro-san’s name?

AOI: Because I asked him to make a reservation for us.

AOI: The net’s still in an uproar and I just that telling him about it before going to a bar would be a good idea.

AOI: The reservation just kinda happened while we were talking about it.

ARATA: I see. As expected from our capable manager, Tsukishiro-san.

ARATA: If it’s a shop he chose then, I’d feel safe in it.

AOI: That’s why.

RECEPTIONIST: Ah, no need to take your shoes off. It’s over here.

(The receptionist introduces them to a private room)

AOI: Yup. What I was wearing and my hairstyle were completely different, too.

ARATA: Won’t it have been faster if you just uploaded a picture yourself?

AOI: I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t take pictures myself…

ARATA: Oh my, my~

AOI: (sighs)

AOI: I feel like I’m gonna be nervous about tweeting for a while.

ARATA: That’s how rumors go.

AOI: In my case, I keep getting nervous even just thinking about what to write.

CHIHIRO: Exactly. Yuuka-chan tried to hunt for new mah-jong participants in her company, too.

CHIHIRO: But, they all said that they only knew how to play mah-jong on the computer.

CHIHIRO: That’s how the neighbourhood people who had experience were pulled into it.

AOI: And you were called for it, too?

CHIHIRO: Yeah, I was caught. (smiles) I got dragged into it.

AOI: I didn’t know you played mah-jong, Nii-san…

CHIHIRO: Even so, I only know a little. I only accompanied my mah-jong playing friends back in high school.

CHIHIRO: But, I’m bad at it and I’m pretty weak.

CHIHIRO: I was even worse than Yuuka-chan who only started playing today.

CHIHIRO: I was so weak that they gave me the nickname “Kamonegi”… (1)

CHIHIRO: I was just thinking about how happy I am.

ARATA: You’re right.

CHIHIRO: To think that I’d get to meet my younger brothers who used to wear kindergarten hats and played with mud in a bar like this~

CHIHIRO: Even though I see you often on TV, on the net, or on articles.

CHIHIRO: It would be nice if we could create an atmosphere like this where we can talk with each other directly again once in a while, huh?

AOI: Eh?

CHIHIRO: I hear a lot about you from here and there but, like what happened the other day, there are bound to be some misunderstandings.

CHIHIRO: But, there’s no warmth in something like that, right?

It's a really pretty color, and I like the way this matte lipstick looks! I wish more liquid lipsticks were as lovely as this one! Oh gosh, it’s been a bit since I did a rundown of them… (I need to update my project lists tbh… ugh..) I’ve been working really hard on consolidating my characters and stories these last few years so I’m rightfully proud of my progress.. Even if no one can tell yet but me!! >8//);

Despite how many we have, only a few of them I seriously want to bring to completion and/or publish first and foremost. The rest are really just for fun until I/we feel like they could become something bigger. Also, Dye has involvement in most of my stories whether it be a full collab or just helping!

It’s a long post… so, BELOW THE CUT WE GO!

Collaborations

(with @dyemelikeasunset)

Ocean of Cycles: Our 4th Collab- Dye’s world-building project that I have the honor of helping flesh out. While we have our OCs and want to make it RPG ready for others to play in for fun, and we think making a book of the completed world-building someday would be fukken awesome, it’s largely a stress relief and creative outlet for Dye and I, so we’re not in a rush nor can Dye’s schedule allow for full-time work on it. Like Dye, I would like to do mini-comics about their adventures myself as well!!

Picture This Imagine That: (sorry this art is 4yrs old… T//w//T) Our third collaboration; Started small but became our means of reconciling our identities and coming out. After we came out some years ago, we put this one down to handle real life stuff and grow up a bit- but we do still fully intend to draw and publish their stories, we just took it offline and pulled back to a much more relaxed pace until it’s actually ready.

Solaris: Our second collaboration. Originally an Avatar: The Last Airbender fanstory, transplanted into an original universe. I’d really love to bring this one to life as a comic, but the plot hasn’t been finished yet! We love this one to bits though and I’d consider it a likely choice down the road sometime.

White|Outlines: Technically our first collaboration, a soft slice of life about troubled supernatural teenagers. My branch in the same universe/highschool as Dye’s SalaDays story (No, the SD cast doesn’t really interact with mine) I made this because Dye used to have the world open for RP, but we’ve long since closed it off. (That’s more geared toward OoC now) I don’t really have plans for pursuing this one outside of for fun!

Unlucky: A fun slice-of-life meets shounen kind of story set in a tightly knit chinatown. Dye helped create the bulk of this verse for a lot of homeless/floating OCS, like Quinn and Airi from my old beckoning cat magical girls team, Jake and Evelyn from anirangers, Tyberius and Farah from wwp’s “D’Amatos” godfather-parody show… stuff like that. It’s a bit more on the world-building side right now but I hope to draw things for it soon.

I also play around in or help with some of Dye’s more solo works like Kingdoms or Romaine Hearts, as well as a few offline projects that aren’t super involved/developed yet.

Magical Girls:

Forecasters: My lovebaby of a story, featuring weather magical girls. My only active personal project that I want to make into a full blown webcomic right now. It’s 99.7% offline atm, I started this in 2013 after we put down PT. There’s still a lot to do, but I’m really excited about this one. It’s like my self-imposed college final project and/or legitimate story pitch I guess? I wanna post promo art for it so bad but I want at least the first two chapters drawn before that so bear with me…

Starless: Alien powered magical girls. Created from old (2008) tokyo mew mew OCs! The story’s been a bit ambiguous lately but I am very fond of this one and would consider it one I’d like to complete/draw for someday if the plot lets me WRITE IT lmao. Dye is helping me by adopting some of the characters!

Minor MG Stories: (click the link in the last bullet to see pics of these)

“Book Keepers”: Literature theme college magical girls, collabed with Dye. Currently just a loose idea with really fun fleshed out OCs, but not a super high priority.

“Candyland”: NEW! Candy themed magical girls. A tentative title for a bunch of OCs I’ll be posting soon enough so I guess I’ll add them now. Some of them are old af, some are super new. They’re just an early concept and a bit of a style-experiment.

Cheers!: Drink-themed magical girls. A very old team I don’t really plan on doing anything with right now, just currently trying to redesign them to my liking.. -stares holes into them- LET ME LOVE YOU

Cosmic Club! another design prompt with no story.. YET…. I love them and they seem v popular so it’s possible! We’ll see how it goes.

Even more magical girls over here in this list but are all in a similar ‘concepts only at this time’ status (Lucky is on this list but is no longer a magical girl series)

My Projects:

Shards of Moon: A fateful fantasy epic about birds and songs. Formerly Anathema, the first fully fleshed out “serious” story I wrote… It was terrible! It was merged with another story that had no characters, so all my oldest OCs live here now. I’m very very fond of this one but I’m letting it percolate very slowly. It’s a far off goal for now, but it is shaping up to be a story I’d like to tell.

Sleep Tight: About a little girl and her boogeyman and conquering fear. The second story I wrote in high school. This one needs… a lot of rework and a bit of gutting- I haven’t decided the direction I wanna take it yet, but I don’t mind waiting. (I mean, look at what happened to Shards of Moon- I was so sure I’d trash that whole story and its characters.)

Superglue: I have like NO new art for this one yet lmao.. Young superheroes dealing with past actions they ran away from. A third high-school story that has changed so dramatically it’s not even remotely similar to its first version. It’s basically a baby story with old re-homed OCs in it because I felt sorry for them. ;w;;; I don’t know how far this one will take off yet but yeah

Others:

I’m gonna get ta’ play in @caiterprince’s universes with Dye too, including the WIP Magical Girl Academy as a means to flesh out more magical girl designs (Eden is the most familiar, but I’ll have more soon), and a few cameos in Plainer in Hindsight and Weaver’s Debt eventually

Fancharacters like my SU gemsonas, my ponies, and my Tokyo Mew Mew OCs are purely for fun. If I want to write an original story about the characters (which has happened, see Solaris and Starless) I’d transplant them first.

I have a few other concepts laying around- placeholders like “fairyverse” or “spacewitchverse” where I throw similar-theme homeless OCs but don’t have a single story idea for, it’s just.. there. for now. So I won’t bother going over those.

AUs (like elf gfs Band AU) don’t really count as separate unless they become canon. (i.e. what happened with Solaris)

If anyone’s really curious on the development of my worlds and ocs, I honestly highly taking a peek through my sketchdump folder on my DA. (start at the bottom, its infinite scroll) You can find pretty much everything I’ve ever conceptualized in these. I started to sort dumps by story- there’s actually quite a bit of storytelling / oc growth nestled in there if you’re into that sorta info-binging. I-I think it’s kinda fun tbh…. I do apologize in advance for any slurs or problematic wording you may find in the oldest dumps, I’ve been cleaning it over the years but might’ve missed something.

eremin | ~1400 words | no warnings | pining, fluff, attempt at humour

[ look!! these lovely fragaria ananassa fruits are on offer!! ]

Eren stared at the Snapchat, reading the caption twice, eyes lingering on the words in the middle. Scientific Latin. Armin was obviously in the mood to wind him up.

[ pls call them erdbeeren like everyone else you nerd ]

He sends his reply with a photo of his own unimpressed face, eyes squinted and bedhead very visible, but not caring about his rumpled appearance in the slightest. Armin loved his face. He totally wanted to smooch it everyday. Or, at least, Eren wished he did.

[ get on my level ]

Armin’s next Snapchat was a selfie too, with a low camera angle and his happily procured box of strawberries squeezed into the bottom corner. Despite having set the photo timer for only three seconds, Eren’s fast fingers had it screenshotted with plenty of time to spare. It would make a good reaction pic to tease the blond with in future.

Get in my country, and in my bed, Eren wanted to reply, but it was too early to be so bold. Although he was sure it would make Armin grin, there was an underlying seriousness to his words which he wasn’t prepared to have laughed at, even for a sassy joke from his best friend.

Eren sent the message with a simple background of his bedroom ceiling, since he couldn’t quite make his expression right in such a short amount of time. He rolled over and groaned into his pillow, flopping his arms out to the sides and relaxing again. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his smartphone light up again, showing another notification with that familiar yellow icon.

Eren snorted softly at the photo and caption. Someone was certainly in a good mood today. He wondered if something specific had happened, but knew Armin would have told him already if that were the case. The feeling was infectious, though.

Click. Send. Deep breath. Instead of waiting patiently for Armin’s response, Eren swung his legs over the side of his bed and stretched, deciding to get breakfast. He didn't quite know what to have, but the Snapchats still had him thinking about fruit. When he returned to his room, he used one hand to scoop up his phone again while the other covered a yawn. Eyes watering, Eren quickly tapped in his passcode and opened the latest Snapchat.

[ congrats on your new job as a tired morning cashier then eren!! ]

The photo was, in a word, beautiful. Armin had obviously moved outside, and the weather was much nicer than where Eren was, judging by the way the sun made his head of blond hair glow. The background was half green leaves and half blue sky, the perfect backdrop, and he’d put the caption at the very bottom, not covering anything. Eren was so busy taking it all in that he only managed to take a screenshot with less than a second left.

A moment later, he swore out loud.

Throughout all their Snapchat exchanges, Eren had purposely limited himself to only saving funny, unflattering pictures of Armin. There weren’t many sometimes, but it was safe, and Armin would scold him without looking deeper into it. But this time, it definitely had meaning, and Armin, being the observant genius he was, would question it straight away.

Eren had to do something. He had to do something quick.

First he replied with something sarcastic and misleading, a typical Eren response. Then, having bought himself some time, he got up again and started the rest of his morning routine. What he needed was a reason. A way of showing Armin that he wanted the nice photo for a hidden joke, a totally platonic and believable motive.

His mind was blank, blank, blank. And then in a flash of wild inspiration, the answer came to him, in the middle of brushing his teeth. Grinning and eager, Eren sat at his desk and booted up his computer, opening Photoshop as soon as it was ready.

When Eren next checked his phone, which was plugged in and charging next to him, he saw that he had a new Snapchat from eight minutes ago. Armin had spotted a German Shepherd on his journey and had sent it to him with no context other than two words.

Eren huffed a short laugh but locked his phone again without sending a Snapchat of his own. His little project was almost finished.

Ten minutes later, Eren clicked save and switched to an online messenger that he and Armin also used frequently. Another minute and he’d sent his masterpiece for the other boy to admire.

It took a while, but Armin eventually replied. Eren burst out laughing when he did.

Shoulders still shaking, Eren typed back,

Silently, Eren gave himself a pat on the back for thinking of such a great distraction. Just as he was debating on the best way to respond, Armin started typing again.

Eren was enjoying himself too much. Who knew such a mundane conversation about half-price fruit could end up like this. Invigorated, he clicked back into Photoshop, opening a new file.

Along with the short message, he sent a different selfie of Armin, one from about a month ago. In it he was pulling an overly cute pose, with a hand poised under his chin. The original caption had been cropped out, and Eren had made his cheeks extra rosy and changed his hair colour to what he thought was close to ‘strawberry blonde’.

Eren suddenly felt like he was full of ideas. He could make Armin’s hair longer and draw little strawberry people around him. He could change some of his Facebook pictures to include strawberry hairclips. Try to flawlessly edit a bigger photo of Armin so that he was holding a giant strawberry like a baby. But despite his creativity, he unfortunately had things to do and had already wasted enough time.

Weeks later, Eren was getting ready to post a ‘good luck’ card to Armin before all his exams. The conversation from that one morning had been easily forgotten, until he was standing at the checkout in his local convenience store, staring at their ‘last minute’ items. On a whim, he doubled his total price by scooping up two or three overly large handfuls of strawberry bubblegum packs.

He knew the instant Armin had received his card and gift, which had to be sent in a suspiciously large, padded envelope. The Snapchat notification popped up like any other, but the reaction was priceless.

[ THEY’RE ALL OVER THE FLOOR EREN HOW MUCH DID YOU NEED TO BUY?!?! ]

Clutching his stomach, Eren had to make a real effort to fix all his typos and illegible words before hitting send on his reply.

Armin attempted an intimidating look in his next pic, but adorably missed the mark.

It was with a thrilling feeling of confidence that Eren responded,

Let's call them Z.

I liked Z.

I didn't like them when I first met them.

Z wasn't like M.

M was the guy before him... M had blue bright eyes, long lashes, a very feminine look with a defined jaw and a very skinny frame.

M was sweet, charismatic, interesting... or maybe that's just what I had told myself before.

Looking back, most of our relationship was just sex and quiet moments. They were too PC, too docile. Never really stepping out their box or really revealing much about themselves past what everyone else already knew....

I guess that's something I liked about Z.

He (seemed like he) was never hiding things.

I didn't like him because he wasn't like M, and that kinda made me (very reluctantly) talk to him.

I feel bad, knowing the whole reason me and Z met in the first place, was since I was just tired of being alone. Not ready to date, nor willing to be thrown into yet another infatuation based sexcapade by someone who would dump me hard and quick like a bag full of burning rocks, but.... alas.

Ahem.

Z was not my usual type.

Or, the exact moment I met him was online. Back then I was maybe less than a month or a few weeks fresh out of my suicidal-thought-inducing-shitty-breakup from M throwing my heart into a running wood chipper, and I was just looking for whatever was out there.

Matty was like a blue crystal found in a dirty swamp of shit. Maybe if I was lucky, I'd find another crystal like him, or even bigger and better than him, if I wade through all the shit?

(Metaphor for online dating.... and no, I didn't find anyone truly worthwhile.)

I met Z. But I wasn't really interested. Back then, they had curly, cheeks length curly/wavy brown hair, a beanie on, and chin pustules that were big as fuck. (No offense, nothing is wrong with acne but ill just say the pic was took at an angle and lighting that made it stand out...)

And the pic had a glazed look to the eyes, so I thought they were brown eyes, and otherwise... nothing interesting. (Nothings wrong with brown eyes, I mean that the picture lacked any real charisma or something to show off that he was fine as fuck in real life.

It just showed....

"Really bland looking skater kid;who probably has a nicotine vape that tastes just like bubble gum."

And I would have agreed to meet up as a "sure, lets try things out", but then they mentioned living waaaay fucking far in the south of an already distant city....

An eight dollar round trip ticket just to take the virginity of an awkward skater boy around my age, but not actually clicking? Sounds.... boring.

I needed a person to click with. Hell; I already was fucked up from M saying nothing we had ever mattered to him, after he stressed the fuck out of having a relationship with me... springing into a rebound would have been a terrible idea. Fuuuuuck that. I wouldve needed some holy dick, some good ass sex to get me out of a heartbreak.

Not... just any old skater fella.

I didn't respond.

Then a month or two later, i go "fuck it, you already know you need more friends bitch and you dont need to spend your summer crying while your ex is out here living his best life, and you arent... enjoy being a high school grad and go have some fun!"

I do my online dating thing again.

Bunch of responses, none great...

Then I see Z again.

I can't tell if he changed his picture he sent me or if in that moment i went "fuck it", or... idk, I don't remember the exact situation, but he messaged me.

Some mildly fuckboy-esque line about inviting me over at his house to chill, watch some netflix, hang out, smoke, eat...

He had a nice energy to his message among the crowds of "hey bb am 31 pls fuck me xoxx imgur.com/sj492gd8a" headass shit, so we started talking on kik.

And then I recall we traded photos again; nothing sexual, just deadass face pics to prove we were not robots or catfishers or anything.

And when I saw his face, this time in a different pic, I thought...

"Jesus fucking christ, I knew this guy would be a fuckboy. Look at everything about this photo. Holy shit, this is bad. Oh my god. Is this the same dude thats battle rapping with eminem, but smaller? Holy shit."

Machine Gun Kelly headass.

He wasn't unattractive, he still resembled a decently good looking person. Not bad or awful, just like... a bit too teenager-y. Sure I was 17, but he looked like an e-boy at 19, and its just cringey seeing a dude look a certain way?

I don't know. Too much like a certain archetype? "Trying too hard?"

I dunno.

You know those "starter pack" memes? His would include faux gauges, cargo shorts, vans, a shaved sides haircut, and untreated hormonal acne.

It wass a cross between "yeah hes a little sexy" and "jesus christ; you look like any average yt dude with a cockatiel inspired haircut, bro".

(Its 3:16am and im roasting my ex's hair from when I was first meeting them... nice.)

I don't know how to say this, but they were attractive... just looked like they weren't putting any effort into their look, and otherwise careless about it.

Idk.

But he was different than M, so I gave it a chance. I kinda left them on read a bunch, or took forever to respond to messages.... I just don't feel super attached to people if i dont see them as long term.

So....

He was an unpleasant surprise....
