Hello y’all, today I bring you some worldbuilding. I’ve been frustrated a bit cause we don’t actually have a detailed map of Aurania, so here are my approximations based on the main campaign locations and the codex entries.

First, approximate borders for the main factions. Now that I look back on it, I wonder if the north coast following the River Aldor, north of the Gloomwoods, might still be in Cherrystone, but who knows? I separated the Kappa and Tengu clan from Heavensong because the codexes say they’re independent (although fiercely loyal to Tenri). I’ve also mapped the location of merfolk and deepfolk, cause the codexes said one lived north of the circle sea, and the other south of it, and like the previously cited clans, they’re independent but loyal to Cherrystone and Felheim respectively.

Second, I tried to place ANY AND ALL locations that were mentionned in the codexes. The ones with “?” are extrapolations, while the others are pretty much 99% sure thanks to the main campaign. Here’s the ones I didn’t have enough info on to place:

Shrieking Wall (Warlocks summoned from the catacombs beneath it)

Guardian's Teeth (Golems are constructed from the rocks washed ashore from there)

Pluderer’s Coast (Floran build their warships from the remains of pirate ships that wash up there) - Now that I think about it, it might be the northmost coast from the Floran Tribes

anybody got any examples of fridging? that’s what my next blog post on northern pluder is about.

for those who don't know what fridging is, it's when a fictional piece (video games, comic books, novels, movies, etc) motivate men by having a woman get maimed, raped, or killed. This happens most often either in the backstory, or as a call to action partway through the storyline. Most prevalent in action based media - think superheroes, action narratives, first person shooters, etc.

Thank you for your answer, I agree with you. I saw an article were this british scientist compared the vikings to nazis and said that the viking heritage was nothing to be proud of. I think that is a bit harsh. I mean, yes, the vikings pludered, raped and tortured, but they didn't target a specific type of people with the means to eradicate them, and it wasnt exactly the 1900s....

It's not really like the British have any room to criticize... what with a lengthy, leeeengthy track record of racism, imperialism, and colonizing and all.
