Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful So in case you didn't know, Steve from Minecraft is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He has with several new gimmicks like a crafting and recourse management system, a rideable minecart, a stupidly powerful magma block up-smash, and placeable TNT blocks with a floor panel plunger. However, I want to focus on his up-special, the Elytra. In Minecraft, this gliding suit is a reward for defeating the final boss of survival mode, the Ender Dragon. In Smash, it is just one of Steve's several methods of recovery, and it's awesome. You quickly rocket up into the air damaging any one who comes into contact with you then use the up and down directions to glide back to the stage snaking past your opponent's attacks.  Essentially, the busted gliding mechanic from Brawl has returned though it's not as busted as it was in that game (or maybe it is and I haven't got good enough with it but I doubt it based on my testing of it).  But frankly, I don't give a darn because it's a blast to pull off and wonderful to use...unless you do it away from the stage. Then you lose a stock...and that's bad.

pjo/hoo characters as among us colors + how they play (a definitive list):

percy is dark green, obv bc of the sea etc. the superior color, 10/10 not just because it’s my go-to lmao. i feel like dark greens a pretty neutral color but slightly better at imposter than crewmate, but gets shit done pretty well either way. goes for dark blue or cyan if he can’t get green, and matches cowboy hats with annabeth but might wear the cheese hat when playing alone.

annabeth is white. just her aesthetic, and closest to grey for wisdom, athena, etc. she’s definitely binged game theory videos and will win as imposter or crewmate every time, but has the best imposter strats and will not hesistate to kill/frame you. same vibes as that guy on tiktok who’s an absolute god at among us, dream energy for y’all who are on minecraft yt. facilitates discussion and is crazy convincing either way. goes for black or blue if she can’t get white, twins with percy on the cowboy hats. percabeth is defo EXTREMELY competitive w each other and fucking terrifying when they’re an imposter duo.

grover is lime, if nothing else for the nature aspect, but i also think lime green + dark green make a good team, ie percy and grover’s friendship that rick still hasn’t acknowledged but iTS FINE he’s definitely a hell of a lot better at crewmate than imposter, and prob genuinely feels bad for killing folks. has the sprout hat (or the goat horns as a joke) and plays as yellow orange etc as fruits if he can’t get lime.

hazel goes for yellow bc i feel like yellow is almost never imposter and just kinda vibes in the background, not super active in discussion but can kill a bitch if necessary. bad bitch vibes, probably goes for purple or cyan if she can’t have yellow. DEFINITELY has a witch hat for #jokes and you CANNOT tell me that she, annabeth and piper (+ percy on occassion) haven’t recreated the tiktoks where the witches chaotically run in circles around dead bodies. immaculate vibes all around.

jason’s cyan because i fucking hate cyan and his eyes + the sky or whatever. noob energy even though he’s played a lot but he’s got the spirit. better as crewmate than imposter but not amazing at either (sorry to come for you like that my guy), and he probably goes for blue or yellow if he can’t get cyan. does not wear a hat, or goes for the toilet paper to match w piper’s plunger (see below).

piper’s blue or pink (sarcastically ofc), i can’t really articulate it but those are just the vibes. she’s decent at both imposter and crewmate but has a knack for imposter, esp when teamed with percy, leo or annabeth. wears the toilet plunger hat and goes for black blue or pink.

frank is red bc red is always imposter but shit at being imposter, and i feel like he wouldn’t know how to play all that well and just do it for fun w his buddies. red can usually be pretty aggressive in chat but we’re gonna ignore that bc my king would NEVER. idk why but he probably has either the chef hat or toilet paper, and goes for brown or dark green if he can’t get red. also probably gets killed first or voted out first, but we still have to stan x

ok i hate to be basic or whatever but nico’s always black. he doesn’t get it, he dips from the lobby and joins another. good at imposter and pretty good as crewmate, can usually find liars. i also feel like he’d be a lil trigger happy w the vents but never gets caught bc he’s experienced in shadow travel lmao. definitely has the same energy as those plague masks so that’s for sure his hat.

reyna’s purple bc she’s hella roman, absolutely fucking terrifying as imposter, esp when teamed w annabeth or jason, and usually facilitates discussion in chat. wears the knight helmet as a hat, and goes for black if she can’t get purp.

leo’s orange bc ✨fire✨ and he probably wears the scream mask. absolute fucking chaos as the imposter, and acts sus for no reason as crewmate. ok at both, may be slightly better as impos. goes for red or brown if he can’t get orange, name is prob festus or some shit lmao.

anywho these are the colors they’d use, i will not be taking criticism at this time. for all you connabeth shippers, conner and percy would 10/10 fight over dark green to impress annabeth, and yeah❤️ hope y’all enjoyed

This one was just for fun and shouldn’t be taken completely serious otherwise we’re all gonna lose our humanity. As much I’d love to see Made in Abyss somehow miraculously get into Smash, I am well of how impossible it is.

Ok, we all knew what was coming, no bother denying it; you joke about DLC, you might as well spill the beans and say what you really want. I’ll make it clear that of course, I don’t want Waluigi, he’s an assist trophy and at his core a rather dull character in the face of his brother. Steve holds no strong attachment from me since I do not play Minecraft and I feel like his moveset wouldn’t interesting enough to warrant my attention,(basically a 3D G&W). 

Now that’s settled with, let’s discuss who I truly want for DLC despite the stupidity of it:(Left to Right)

1.) Ratchet & Clank: This game holds a special place in my heart for being one of the first game I’ve ever played and one of the only franchises where I faithfully played through every game in the main series, even some of the spin-offs. The amazing characters, brilliant writing, great stories, fun/engaging gameplay, and vast and creatively deadly variety of weapons. I’d go on all day about why I love this series so much and why the movie disappoints me so much,(I will say the remake was fun though). Now to move potential he’s got everything a fighter can ask for: 

His omniwrench would the staple of his melee attacks on both air and ground,(with any one of his shotguns/whips as smash attacks). His dash attacks could incorporate the Razor Claws.

Recovery (Up B) is an easy pick, just use Clank heli-pack to gain sufficient height than slowly glide down for a period of several seconds over a far horizontal distance. Drawbacks being wind-up time and having no defensive qualities.

Grapples would be simple tethers and throws with Omniwrench.

Neutral B would simply a blaster shot with minimal flinch damage that continues fire if held.

Side B would definitely be his signature boomerang wrench throw, homing in on Ratchet on its return and doing decent knockback with either hit.

Down B would have clank throw of his time spheres down talk cause a 5 second AoE that slows down opponents caught in the blast while dealing zero damage or knockback.

Their Final Smash would see Ratchet calling his ship to strike his opponents, sending them hurtling into space to be bombarded by various weapons in their arsenal before getting by clank in his giant form.

Ratchet’s skins can be all of his default outfits through the serious ending with a robot version of in reference to Dr. Nefarious’s evil scheme.

The stage would be Metropolis city on Kerwan.

2.) Rayman: This one is a bit more realistic than the last one seeing the series has had strong ties with Nintendo consoles and even sporting a Rayman Spirit in-game,(take that as you will, at least it’s something). Rayman also falls under the nostalgia factor, but nowhere the extent of Ratchet since I was pretty late to the series,(My favorite game being Legends). No doubt he’s one of the higher picks among Smash players and I can see why; he’s funny, energetic, a great platformer/fighter, and has a truly unique/iconic character design. 

I’m not too familiar with the entire series though, so keep it basic with the moveset:

Rayman is a fast lightweight fighter that primarily uses melee attacks such as fast punches and kicks on both the ground and in the air. His smash attacks would be moderately slow wind-up punches and kicks with exceptional knockback and range. Dash attacks would have him spinning forwards at high speeds with little damage and knockback, but great for setting up a brief stunlock.

His grapple is a far-reaching chain arm tether with decent throwing power.

Recovery is a simple helicopter hair flight with similar mobility to Krool, but deals no damage and goes much higher.

Neutral would have him shooting burning fists at his enemies and can be charged up for increased power.

Side B has him rapidly shooting from his plunger gun, which can be a great edge guarding tool.

Down B turns one of his hands into a guided missile that will extremely powerful, leaves vulnerable to attack.

Final Smash has him uppercut the nearest players sending them to a zone where they’re dog-pilled by all his friends before unleashing a synchronized charged strike sending them flying into the stars.

The stage will be set in the Rabbids colosseum, where the audience holds signs and banners representing characters and series. 

Rayman's colors would be based on the many characters of the series.

His taunt will feature a lum.

3.) Okami, Amaterasu: Ok this is sure to please many fans since she’s quite often requested and very popular on her own. She also has a much higher chance than the rest since she’s a part of Capcom like Ryu/Megaman. Personally speaking though, I want her to join for the sake of how amazing and artistically beautiful the game the is. The mythology, characters, story, music, art style, and the gameplay just screams traditional Japanese culture/painting in the best way possible.

I list the moveset down here, but someone else already did a much better job than I ever could. @panaran

3.) Hollow Knight: Ok this steps far down in terms of likely solely because it’s an Austrailian indie game. Otherwise, this would be one of the biggest crowd pleasures in the line-up. A legendary title for its striking animation, unique world/story, deep lore, magnificent soundtrack, and memorable/diverse cast of characters. I love for all these reasons, but I truly support cause it’d represent to the newest milestone in gaming history, indie studios.

I’d go over moves again someone also solved that problem for me.

4.) Kid Icarus Viridi: Of all the characters, she has the most right to be a playable character. She and her home franchise are so deeply rooted in Smash that they literally are the commentary for the game. Don’t say no moves cause Palutena was never playable in their game, but she still got in. And about her being on a stage, Chrome is a Final Smash and piranha is a stage hazard. Mii costumes also don’t prove anything since many characters have them. This would also be the first in-person appearance she’ll make in any game, something she was denied in her in Kid Icarus Uprising. Personally, however, I want Viridi cause she’s basically the Peridot,(Steven Universe), or the Max,(Camp Camp), of Nintendo. The sassy, cynical, and destructive little gremlin that talks shit to everyone but in end is a complete tsundere with an adorable nerdy side and heart of golden amber beneath her thorny exterior. 

(Not my waifu, goddess or not, she’s a ‘child’ and I am 19, it’d be messed up)

Her moveset would be difficult to decipher since she doesn’t fight in-game, but I can draw up a few ideas

Viridi won’t be as angelic/divine as Palutena, preferring to walk and run in a more grounded manner with a trail of plants sprouting behind her as she moves. She’ll be one of the lightest characters in-game due to her small stature, making her very nimble but easy to launch.

She’ll be more we versed in melee than Palutena, incorporating her staff/agility into her fighting style. Using many fast and disjointed blows at once like Mii swordfighter, but her smash attacks would instead unleash vines from the ground that would strike opponents.

Her grapple would be a vine tether she could use to constrict/launch enemies.

Her Recovery would be another vine tether that goes farther and does higher damage than Ivysaur.

Neutral B she’d fire a lightning blast at her opponents,(a reference to her ally Phosphora).

Side B Viridi would slash forward sending a small twister that can launch enemies,(Slower and larger Mii Sword)

Down B is a parry using Clobbler in a similar manner to Toad.

Final Smash is, of course, a rush down that sends foes into ground-zero of a Reset Bomb strike.

Taunts will be her making witty remarks and poses, often times waving her staff around like a wand.

Nintendo Round-Up

Smash Ultimate: As everyone expected, the guy from Dragon Quest 11 made it in, and I”m assuming his shadows are the protags from most of the other DQ games. I’d be more excited if that wasn’t like... 7 more sword characters. E N O U G H. Should have put a slime in instead. Also it really shows you how DQ just has no vested interest in making a lady hero, which is bullshit. Also they ended the conference with Banjo and Kazooie being revealed as a new fighter. I’m happy for them. u v u

DQ11 Switch Port: Oooh, so the pixel areas are you traveling to different DQ worlds? That’s pretty cool.

Luigi’s Mansion 3: It looks cute, and I really like the plunger attachment. But I can’t help but think that while Gooigi is adorable and a nice co-op option, that Nintendo is low key knowingly venturing into more kink areas.

Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics: I Like the Dark Crystal and tactical RPGs, but this looks a little... bad. I hope it’s not, but movie games are usually... yeah.

Link’s Awakening: Fuck the naysayers, the art style is SO GOOD. I don’t... really understand the “make your own dungeon” mechanic. I thought it was going to be so other people can explore your dungeons, but you go in your own? And get treasure? Maybe it’ll grow on me.

Trials of Mana: Looks good! The other 3 games in the series got ported too, which is nice.

Witcher 3 Port

Three Houses: Okay, okay, okay. So there’s like... two timelines? One in the past where you’re teaching everyone and one in the present (?) where everyone is fighting? That’s way cooler than I was expecting. Still hate the dragon loli. Still hope you, as Byleth, can date the other characters in the present timeline.

Resident Evil 5 & 6 Port

No More Heroes 3: YAAAAY! I can’t wait to see what crazy shit is going to come out of this one!

Contra Rogue Corps: I don’t care about Contra, but I’m glad they don’t seem to be taking themselves too seriously. 

Daemon x Machina: I still have no idea what this game is about. It looks like Xenoblade, but with more mechs and vehicles. Which could be good, but I still have my reservations. 

Panzer Dragoon: The graphics are real nice. I think people were waiting for this, so I’m glad they got it.

Pokemon: Stop. Making. Hot. Characters. What the fuck.

Astral Chain: So the protags are being forced to forge a mental link of sorts with the invading chimeras, which in turn forces the chimera to work for them. That’s hella shady, but it looks like the game is going to address how shitty that is. I’m wondering if you’re going to end up looking for your sibling in the chimera realm a la “I know they’re still alive!” Wonder if they’re going to end up being the big bad after being stuck in the chimera realm.

Empire of Sin: It’s another top down shooter, but as it’s using a 40′s mobster aesthetic it’s infinitely superior.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Crypt of the Necrodancer:  Cadence of Hyrule

Mario and Sonic At the Olympic Games: Rail grinding like SA2B is honestly all I wanted from this game. Thank you for delivering, Sega and Nintendo. 

Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Finally! I love the new take on the graphics: everything looks so cozy and pick-up-able. If they have a crafting system, that’s one step away from a cooking system SO I’M STILL HOLDING OUT HOPE THAT THERE IS ONE. Pole vaulting looks real neat and better than praying you get a bridge in an advantageous spot. I don’t know how the deserted island angle is going to play out, but I’m excited to see where it goes. Also “nookphone”? That sounds cool! I wonder what mechanics come with that.

Sans is certified to marry people

Papyrus was homeschooled and therefore has read the entirety of Les miserables, The Illiad and the Oddessy, and animal farm.

Sans is also a certified exorcist. Papyrus got kinda mad that Sans went to Exorcist camp without him so Sans promised to make Papyrus his “apprentice” so that if hey ever exorcise someone Papyrus can be the one to hold the possessed down while Sans squirts holy water at them out of a squirt gun.

No one ever told Papyrus that the Illiad and the Oddessy were not fully historical.

Neither of them like talking about their background, so if anyone asks them they just say they grew up on a tomato farm. 

Sans plays Earthbound in his spare time.

Papyrus was a really creepy child. Like, he’s be normal and peppy and stuff most of the time, but he’d also watch the tv fuzz and tell Sans to quiet down so he could hear the singing. Probably drew creepy pictures.

Sans Does have a medical degree but no one knows where he got it or if it’s even legit.

They both have pretty weird dreams, but not even about resets or anything. Like they both are always fully aware while sleeping.

When they’re feeling sad they sit and play Mario Party together

Papyrus also has a medical degree. 

Paps had an imaginary friend as a kid and Sans didn’t worry about it until he found out Pap’s imaginary friend has the same name and characteristics as his old imaginary friend.

They share a Minecraft realm but Papyrus does all the work while Sans just chills in a dirt hut with 5 raw meat, a wooden hoe and a kidnapped villager named Fox Mulder.

Papyrus cannot sing. The best he can do is talk sing, but he puts in so much effort that no one cares. Sans however, can legitimently sing well, he just doesn’t. 

Sans cannot dance outside of Fortnite dancing but let Papyrus on the dance floor and the earth with shake with the breakdancing power.

Once Sans was at a Grillby’s christmas party when he was supposed to be working, so in rebuttle Papyrus burst in yelling “WHY WEREN’T YOU AT ELF PRACTICE??”

Both Sans and Papyrus have suck their hands in Grillby. Comepletly seperated incidents they just both had the same idea at diffrent times. 

Sans had trouble learning how to spell as a child.

They both know nothing about actual human history so they just make shit up to fill in the blanks. However, after a few years they forgot what was real and what they made up.

Sans isn’t legally allowed in Witsconsin anymore. 

Papyrus hums “Don’t you forget about me” to himself at random moments.

Sans has actually eaten shit. It was a dare that he took way to seriously.

They’re games of “the floor is lava” get really heated. Eventually they swordfight with sticks and plungers and reanact the ending of Star Wars 3.

Well, I've had a literal shit morning.

Firstly, homework took me till 145 in the morning.

I have issues sleeping so I didn't fall asleep till closer till 3

I woke up at 530ish with an upset stomach so I hustle my butt upstairs from the basement to the bathroom.

Have some awful diarrheas.

Clog the toilet.

Have to sneak upstairs to my parents bathroom for the plunger. Its now 6 am

Flood the toilet trying to unclog it. Shit water everywhere.

So now I'm on my hands and knees trying to sop up the mess before it soaks through the vinyl so I can use bleach water

At one point, I literally dry heaved and almost had more nasty to clean up

Finally get things cleaned up and go upstairs to shower. Its like, 645 now.

Get a literal lecture from my mom about how I must be using too much toilet paper because I'm always clogging toilets. Gee thanks mom.

Finally finish with the shower only to find, I didn't bring pants or a bra upstairs for after my shower. So here I am in underwear and a too short shirt sneaking downstairs to throw clothes in the wash.

My hope was to crawl back into bed but I might be too awake for that now and as much as I'd love to play Sims or the new Minecraft update, I still have so much *heh* shit to take care of in my room because I've been putting off chores to finish the damn homework assignment.

I’ve been playing a lot on the official server for the Plunger modpack. I’ve had a lot of fun building, but it’s been real quiet lately, so I don’t get much chance to show off my builds or see other people’s.
