Hey, this was supposed to be me saying how I made the Demon Warlock be a good dad in my rewrite I got fucking CARRIED AWAY and it turned into so much more so um, have some lore of my rewrite Travis I guess??
DW as I'll call him for the sake of this post, "you could call him Micheal!" I'm not going to, that's mean to my Demon Warlock cause mine is a sweet guy....anywas...
DW is more or less currently stuck in the MCD realm for, an indefinate amount of time. Until Shad is exercised out of the part of the Nether he currently rules, which DW used to be the ruler of until the divine decided to throw Shad in there without asking him.
Because of so, DW for a long time grew a heavy distain for the Divine, going out of his way to try and find them on his own to give him a piece of his mind.
Of course, he fails in this heavily, eventually finding himself on the Enki Warrior Tribe island, on his search for Enki. The two fight, DW losing quite bad as the new realm makes him much weaker, plus the fights he already suffered from Shad and the Shadow Knights. Because of this he gets stuck on the island, Enki keeping him somewhat prisoner. The two hate each other, DW makes it well known to the divine man that given the chance he would crush him to a pulp.
It becomes common for Enki's descendents to continue monitoring and capture of this 'demon', in Enki's hidden stronghold on the island, amongst the endless libraries of knowledge and time. Amongst the spirits of Enki's blood long past and new.
Eventually, the hate between Enki and DW is still there, but those of his blood could never imagine their lives without this strange Netherite man.
Many years pass, Enki, a woman decendent of the divine man, named exactly after him, is publicly shamed and banished from the village, a village that used to adore those of their divine's blood.
She takes refuse in the strong hold, not having anywhere else on their small island to go. She hated her family for a time after that. It was only reasonable that she would gravitate to the demon that lived amongst them.
It anger the divine Enki, but made his great grandaughter all the more insistent on crafting a relationship with the demon. After some time, the want to anger her family faded into simple pure admoration and love for the demon, and to her luck, the demon himself seemed to fancy her quite highly too.
Travis had been born some 10 years later, into a loving village far from the hateful one that had banished his mother and their divine bloodline. Enki had started a small settlement around the strong hold and its large temple that protected it on the surface. Many of those who had the unluck of wandering into Gal'Ruk's waters, which were cursed with DW's demonic powers that seemed to beckon those with high magics, or those who were banished from their original village on the other side of the island.
For a time, his divine grandfather hated Travis, despised the small child for his demonic blood. Yet, some time later he seemed to come around to the young boy, for reason he didn't yet want to say, which had only confused and iritated Enki for some time. She still had a distaste for her grandfather.
When the void had made a large surge of realm consupmtion, Enki the divine Keeper was one of the first to know. Not the first, but one of the few. While his grandaughter was the one to be kept up with divine news, as she insteaded Travis was still much too young to have such responsibilities, he did not want to worry the woman, yet she had her ways. Enki had learned of the danger of the void, and as a realms magic user, and a natural one at that, she knew what she had to do to preotect her own realm.
It's not known what she did that day, just that DW had given her the rest of his magics to help, but the void had seemed to slink back almost, like something had ward it off for a time. In return, Enki herself had gone into a comatose state.
She lies to this day in a room in Enki The Keeper's temple, tended to and cared for by not only the whispers of her bloodline, her villagers and her son and husband. Helping keep this realm safe used the rest of DW's draining magics, meaning he most likely would not be able to ever return back to the Nether without help from another. Not that he really wished to anymore.
He had begged Enki not to do what she proposed. Had been on his knees grovling in front of her, begging her to think of something else. Enki had a tendency to go into a sleep-like state and traverse between realms. She always had a knack for it.
This plan of her's would put that to a thousand. Putting her in an indefinite sleep while she walked between their realm and the void, keeping it at bay herself and acting like judge for those who traverse in and out of the realms sorounding them.
Enki the divine had been astonished when he learned of what his grand daughter had done. While he was never one for emotion, especially after DW's introduction into the family, he had cried that night.
Now a days there is a belief amongst the villager's of Enki's town; that the moon above them is their lord, keeping them safe from the dark night of the void from consuming all they know.
While it is not possible that Enki is the moon or her self is, this belief brings comfort to many of the villagers.
To this day, Travis even becomes nervous if he cannot see the moon at least once during the night.
He was always a mama's boy.
