In light of some EXTREMELY disturbing and triggering shit I’ve been getting recommended to me (for some ungodly reason)…
Alt fashion is not confined to one size or body type.
Eating disorders are not an accessory or something you need to “look scene/emo/Y2K”
Food is not a “reward” to withhold from yourself.
A plate of lettuce or a single cup of yogurt is not a meal.
Hurting yourself is NEVER beautiful.
It’s okay to have days when you look in the mirror and think you look fucking gross, it happens to the best of us. But romanticizing self-destruction and promoting it online as “goals”, “inspiration”, or “aesthetic” is NOT FUCKING OKAY, especially when it can reach vulnerable people.
Learn the signs of disordered eating. Listen to your body’s hunger and satiety cues. And please, as respectfully as possible, seek professional help if you suffer from body dysmorphia or an eating disorder.
Non BPD related... I bought combat boots, just waiting on them to be delivered. Hopefully they're not too big, I went a size up because they didn't have my exact size. I haven't worn boots since my steel toed ones I had as a teenager. I wish I could find a black trench coat that fits me to go with them. Torrid is great for stuff in my size but it's extremely expensive, I got the boots and a few shirts on labor day sale. I refuse to grow out of my teen angst. 🤷🏻♀️
