Yesterday we drove home from Sheffield but stopped off on the way to visit our cousins!! @tbirds @cg29 we had a big emotional reunion as we haven’t seen them for months!

Then the Virgils had coffee. Parker jr thought that the coffee was for her, but that’s just nonsense!

Then we got in the car and went for Burger King! Which is our favourite place in the whole world

Where we had lots of yummy vegan food 😁

After there was a big toy store so my cousin Gordon and I went to play in it

We wanted the push chair! But Parker jr and auntie CG wouldn’t get it for us 🥺

happy show and tell saturday from plushiepalz :~)

from left to right this is snoot, tigger, floof, and noil! i got snoot from a goodwill in high school, tigger from barnes and noble (as a kid tigger was my fav winnie the pooh character!) floof from the zoo, and i’ve had noil since i was a kid!

they all just got some baths 🧼

Ohhhhh look at themmmm they all look so soft and squeaky cleannnn

All of these are precious! they're all unique in style (I love Snoot's snoot and Noil's full-body mane(?)) and in story (Tigger used to be my favorite too! And zoo plushies are always my favorite souvenir.) Thank you for sharing them!!

thank you @plushiepalz :) i appreciate it. she really was wonderful! she definitely lived a long life! 6 years! the average lifespan for chickens is 5-7 :) i really wish i could’ve gotten another year with her but i guess she had other plans lol. anyway thank you for the kind words!!! 🫶🫶🫶

also im sorry for seeing this so late. i haven’t checked my inbox in a while because i haven’t been feeling the best <3 sorry about that!

Who’s a plush that has a funny story attached?

meet beluga the bear! he was a gift from my old dance instructor as a kid. apparently his girlfriend saw this guy at a store and said he was cute, so my dance instructor went back later and bought it for her. she didnt actually want him though, and was like “where would i even put him?” so my dance instructor gave him to me! the funny part was i was nine years old and this bear was basically bigger than me, so walking this thing ten blocks home was quite the treat.

What are some tips you would give to someone wanting to start a plushie blog?

Figure out your DNI and stick by it; put it in your bio, put banners with it on your original photo posts. People WILL break it because apparently no one can read online. Resign yourself to weeding through followers and interactions; get ready for very liberal use of the block button. Read other people’s DNI before interacting and respect their wishes. Check your sources- filtering tags can make this easier. I wish you didn’t have to do all this but people are awful.

On a lighter note...

Definitely find something unique for your blog! I do plushie profiles, you could do the same, but feel free to get creative! Photos of new plushies always get some notes, giving updates on your favorite plush manufacturers new releases or deals is good. Personal posts relating to stuffed animals can break things up. I’m planning to do short fiction pieces featuring my stuffed animals eventually.

Don’t feel like you need to post everyday - if people like your content, they’ll stick around and understand if you get busy. You could set up a queue if you wanted to though.

Supplement original content with reblogs - don’t feel afraid to stray from plushies into other toys, just have a separate tag.

A entire tagging system (ie tag dog plushies as dog, so people can go through and see all the dogs you’ve ever posted or reblogged) is good, I’m planning to go back and implement one myself. Having a tagging system for your original posts is important too (for example, I tag original content ‘buddy posts’ and content with my plushies with the plushie’s name like this: ‘p: [name]’; if they don’t have a name, I have a tag for that too - ‘to be named’)

Try and interact with your followers through posts and asks; eventually you’ll start getting some response and it’s fun to offer advice and get excited about others’ new plush friends.

Be careful with the plushblr tags - safeplush if for content that contains no triggering content (like a knife or alcohol), allplush and plushblr is for everything else, oddplush I believe is for modifications, and all the plushblr tags should not be used by agere folks per the original creators wishes.
