Okay y’all, I’m as iffy with the musical as the next ghoul but I have to draw the line at the whitewashing. No, Harris and Prishkulnik do not have the exact same skintones as their animated counterpart and I would prefer Cleo to be played by an actual Egyptian as well. But it dismisses the fact that both actresses are still POC. Could they have done better? Yeah, probably. But taking their looks at face value and being mad because they don’t have the exact same skin color is very nitpicky to say the least. An effort was made, and I’d say it’s close enough to be forgiven. Don’t call it whitewashing because it doesn’t translate 100% accurately.

Thickspo over thinspo

One of the reasons I think I’ve failed in the past is looking at others inspo trying to find motivation in that. I don’t want to be stick thin so I shouldn’t draw inspo from that. I find thick cut hips sexy not rib cages, I find collar bones and big boobs sexy. I have to do this my own way and I love this community but I think my goals are a bit different and I have to remind myself of that so I can keep my motivation♥️

Im starting to think that all sweet foods should be fear food. When ever i eat something sweet i have to try so hard not to binge where as its so much easier to eat a normal amount of a savoury food. Its also so much easier to purge them up because theyre normally quite heavy.

Am I so Fucked Up?

My fiance showed me one of his exes and she is so fucking thin. Like. She has some of the deepest collar bones I've ever seen and the tiniest wrists. And I feel like he won't ever really, truly love me until I'm thinner than her. And honestly I feel like shit for thinking this constantly, but. ALL of his exes have been really tiny. And I know he says he doesn't mind that I'm overweight. But. It feels fake. And I've been fasting on and off for years, but. This time I really think that he's not going to marry me until I'm skinny. And I don't blame him. I'm fucking hideous and he deserves a skinny spouse. And it's starting to feel like no matter how much weight I drop it will never be enough. I've lost a lot of weight, but it doesn't fucking matter. Because I'm still not skinny. Nothing will matter until I'm thin enough for him.

Honestly, his ex is my biggest thinspo. And I'm a fat piece of shit.

I know absolutely nothing about Monster High outside of a few movies I watched while babysitting, so I have no idea what's going on with the live-action movie. Just how bad is it, and how much do they screw up?

They mainly screwed up so far in the casting....so basically, every fandom's nightmare come true when it comes to a live action and the casting of POC characters. Essentially, they casted nearly everyone else just fine, and at least raised potential trans gender Frankie questions with her actor in film being trans male, but its hard to tell until we get a trailer for that one. But, for Clawdeen, they casted Miia Harris, who, uh....:

...Yeah, it ain't great, its....ANOTHER case of lightwashing....seriously, what is it with doll movies and doing this, first Bratz, ad now this.... And its not like the casting people couldn't find a dark skin tone actress for the role, cause they casted Marci T. House for Bloodgood:

So like, its just ANOTHER case of a live action choosing live washing over accurate casting cause its Nickelodeon. But this is where things somehow get worser, cause when they casted Jy Prishkulnik as Cleo, well....:

Its basically another case of lightwashing off the bat, really....cause MH wanted to do one more I guess. 

But there was confusion, admittedly on my end too, about her ethnicity, as some sources seemed to hint at hispanic which.....boy, that would have been a little fucking bad to cast an Egyptian character like that, but an anon corrected me, saying that Jy is middle eastern according to her social medias, but as @neferasempire pointed out to me on that same anon-answer post:

.....Yeah, the Cleo casting is again, falling back to, "....Was it that hard to cast Cleo right in both skin tone and ethnicity?"

And as for any other issues, uhhhh.....well, we got this for plot: "Clawdeen Wolf, who was born half human and half werewolf, after she arrives at her new school, Monster High. She quickly makes friends with her classmates Frankie Stein and Draculaura, and for the first time in her life, Clawdeen feels like she has finally found a place where she fits in and can truly be herself, despite keeping her human half a secret. When a devious plan to destroy Monster High threatens to reveal her real identity, Clawdeen must learn to embrace her true monster heart and find a way to save the day."

Already one big problem: making Clawdeen half-human. Its literally just changing her character only for some reason for this take, and before anyone tells me changes are made in reboots all the time, I know....I've lived through other reboots here, but in this case, its basically giving Clawdeen Jackson's plot of being half-human in a monster school whose secret could be in danger and crap and its just....out of all the plots to go with, they went with this one. We'll MAYBE find more issues I guess when we get trailer finally, but for now, guess its just those issues.
