It hurts so bad I swear I can feel my insides rotting Like he’s the only person who kept me alive He planted flowers in my stomach and now they’re withering Because I no longer have him by my side

I’m trying to do things to keep me occupied Like music, writing and work But every song reminds me of him And I can’t replace devastation with artwork

My job isn’t enough to keep me sane And the busses to and from are fair game There isn’t enough time to distract me from my thoughts Especially not when I’m sitting in a fucking metal box

He’s ruined all my favourite songs And the peacefulness of looking out a window I can’t listen to Three Days Grace Or lie down on a fucking pillow

Because at night I close my eyes and I see him And when I finally fall asleep I dream of him too How the fuck are you suppose to get over someone When the problem isn’t them It’s you?

I can’t run away from my thoughts Or forget about the person who made me whole I can’t just move on like nothing happened And replace that part of my soul

I blew it I blew it I fucking blew it
