🙏🏾Publishing my first book at this time in life has been a deeply sentimental and spiritual experience. Thank you to all who have supported. I truly believe these poems and musings will deeply resonate in the hands of whoever it comes in contact with. Words are Life and Art is eternal. 🌹
If anyone wants a real insight into my mind, you can find that in Hopeful Nets. It’s me at my most transparent and vulnerable.
Available now on Amazon at the link below.💫✨👇🏾 📖 Blessings.

round of applause for the women
who speak their minds like shotgun shells,
with shark skin protecting velvet hearts.
round of applause for the women
as silent and soft as the teddy bears
tumbling off a bed,
who hug like gauze,
giving more than they get.
round of applause for the resilient women,
plowing through chaos like riot shields,
who bottle up their blood
and then model it like makeup.
round of applause for the women we grieve,
radiant in memories,
who remind us how crucial it is
to live and love tenderly.
round of applause for the women
struggling to leave their beds,
the ones waging unwavering wars
inside their heads.
round of applause for petite women,
plump and tall women,
prosperous and poor women, all women
as long as they're kind women.
— round of applause

I look at you while you're cooking. Hair tied up. A rogue hair strand of your hair falls in your eyes. You laugh and look at me asking me to get it off your face. I fix your hair and try to fight this feeling. I want to hug you from the back. Hold you as you're making dinner. And rest my head on your shoulder. "Why are you looking at me like that?" You ask. "I just zoned out" I reply and you shrug. Oh my love how can you not know how beautiful you are?

The orchestra plays
in the mouth of
a potential tomorrow.
My monocle is
cracked but
I
listen
with the intent of
a thousand
unanswered prayers.

Perhaps if I open my eyes everything will have changed
And jasmine fills the air again
My senses overflow with memories of another life.
It's strange how a person can live many lives.
All connected, endless, sometimes parallel, but never the same.
I smell the air again.
But nothing is the same anymore.
The view is the same, yet something unsettles me.
It might be one of those days again.
But the city seems to be immersed in absolute silence.
As if burdened by a secret.
I take another sip of coffee, as if trying to drown the words hanging from the edge of my lips.
Not today.
The corner of my eye catches a hope, a fleeting shadow that resembles you.
And I smile spontaneously.
But I won't turn back.
Not again.
Today I won't chase shadows.
I look at the city one last time.
And for a moment, I think it came to life.

Legends have it, a second chance is in the works. Weapons of plastic make demands of my perks. It's best to keep distance before I go berserk. I came into existence with a plan and a quirk. - No one understands, but that's not the worst. I'm burning plants in hopes it lifts this curse. If you wanna dance, you better clutch your shirt because I'm pulling up with a van and a hearse. - Legends say we as concepts do exist. I can't help but entrance, getting lost in the mix. My thoughts then enhance through conflicts and tricks. My stop's at your glance and trail off with the lips. - The universe breathes and time doesn't skip. We watched the fireworks as I held your hip. I'm trying to climb so I can reach a higher pattern. Everything about poetry sends me to Saturn.

have lots of things to love in your life
the human being has many functions and one of them is love, he has to love and be loved
and if he cannot have one of the two things he dies, he runs out, he withers...

i've realised i write poetry about silly things, little things that for some reason make me feel a whole lot of big things. i rarely find myself writing poetry about big things explicitly. no, i find that i write moments in time-- turn them into permanent fixtures on my phone or in my books or on my blog. i find myself marking little moments that make me wonder about bigger things-- little daisies that make me feel heard.
