What fools we are to think The two cheesy words could stick: ‘forever together’

If nothing in our planet is permanent Why did we think a fleeting emotion could keep us forever together?

What do you do when you run out of things to talk about? I’m sure you must run out of topics after spending forever together

I don’t even think whoever came up with the word forever Had someone with who they wanted to spend forever together

For you see, it’s a mind trick and a vast Exaggeration of fondness to promise anyone you’ll stay, forever together

Yet the word ‘forever’ would be jealous if it knew Forever together, is reserved only for me and you.
