Pretty Faces

Look at my incapability to turn my back towards the mirror, Don't know how dreadful would be those marks, those scars given by the backstabbers. Could've sacrificed it all in the name of friendship, Was ready to fight off battles to protect that very person. Called you my human diary, now you ripped off the pages of our story as if we were nothing. How wonderful was that friendship of immaturity, pure and spotless like our soul. Now don't know what your new people have done, today you don't have time for the old ones.

After so many quarrels the heart can never be as pure as in childhood. Then why even today I don't feel like erasing your pictures out of my device? Why I don't have the nerve to forget the moments spent with you. Throwing away your gifts can't get me any peace, I doubt my own self with every attempt to leave you. Can forget a stranger who was never close, But what about you who is with me in every breath? Never thought I provided resident to the meanest, Worse than the one who cheats right in front. Now I don't trust pretty face with friendly smiles, The heart of a hypocrite is as dark as the depths and deadly like the heights.
