Question for ppl who've dabbled in Pokémon Home more than me:

Say I had the full version of it in the past and had deposited over a box's worth of Pokémon in it, and then the subscription expired - would the Pokémon exceeding the 30 mark be in a sort of limbo pending the reactivation of the service?

I ask this mainly because I've been trying to figure out where some of my Pokémon went, and I'm not 100% sure I moved them to Home, but I also highly doubt I would have deleted the files from the Gen VII games they were in...

I noticed a pattern that they are mons that don't show up in Galar, so that's why I think they might be in Home, just beyond the basic box. They do show up in Home's pokédex, and for some species, I don't think I ever raised or transferred in another besides the missing mons, but they don't have a history of nicknames or even differentiate between regular and shiny in there (which might have made a difference in my case).

Weirder still, I haven't found them through the history section so it all remains inconclusive. If it helps any, I have 3 pokémon deposited right now and Home identifies 113 "residents" which is what made me think they might still be in there.

Tips on using Pokémon Home’s GTS feature!

Before you put your Pokémon into your Pokémon Home boxes for GTS trade, make sure to mark the IV of your Pokémon that has the “Best” on one of it’s stats! They are the following:

Circle: HP iv

Triangle: Attack iv

Square: Defense iv

Heart: Special Attack iv

Star: Special Defense iv

Diamond: Speed iv

The fact that I had to pay £3 for premium on home to transfer my shinies from my DS to my switch so they weren’t stuck there when the E-Shop shuts down is so sad to me. Plus not even all of them can go into modern games, but I want to replay ultra moon so they’re gonna have to stay there. 🙄 like I’ve been shiny hunting since I was 15 I have so many Pokémon.

I’m okay! Y’all it’s happening! After 4 flipping months of no news it’s finally happening!!!!

May 24th Pokémon home is gonna be able to access Scarlet and Violet

We’re gonna finally be able to transfer our favorite mons to and from!

Oh yeah and we also get….um the Paldean starters? Idk that part feels a bit meh I mean when Home became available to Sword and Shield we got Squirtle and Bulbasaur like 3 months early

Getting the starters just with hidden abilities is a small let down, but let’s not let that put any clouds on this shiny bit of news!!

Well I finally transfer some of my Pokémon to Pokémon Scarlet… I gave it a week just to make sure there wasn’t any weird bugs in the games due to the added function.

I found out that Katsuo (he was from Pokémon X) is actually a smaller than average Mewtwo while Max (caught in Pokémon sword) is a bigger than average size. Between the 2 of them there is a 4 to 6 inch difference ( estimated with where my trainers head is located).

I’m actually surprised over these findings since apparently the size is randomize when you transfer from older games. I think this is only applicable when the game did not have size variation…

With the release of the Pokémon Home update, the first thing I did was

Traded a Scream Tail for an Iron Bundle because I wanted my own Robot Murder Penguin™

And freed Kiara from her Pokémon Home limbo, unable to return to Alola or pass on to the Switch ever since I transferred her from Bank to Home in 2020/21 during the mass exodus because of my 3DS being on life support.

Poor thing hasn't seen the sun since Ultra Moon.

Caught her by accident while running through Poni Plains on the way to the Battle Tree. Naturally I immediately texted my (at the time) best friend when it happened and had to explain what Shiny Pokémon are because she didn't know much about Pokémon in general.

TIL that there’s measures to stop Pokémon GO-obtained legendaries from being transferred to any of the Gen 8 and 9 games if they’re not registered in the Poké Dex before hand in-game.

I think this was to stop new players from getting legendary Pokémon much earlier than expected unless they used Dynamax Adventures to have them registered in the Poké Dex.
