Way back in 2020 I drew myself with all the Pokémon I’d used in playthrough teams, and in the years since I’ve done plenty of new Pokémon games so I decided I really wanted to re do that old art! But of course updated to include all my new teammates!

These guys all came from either Sun, Ultra Moon, Ultra Sun, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Black, White 2, or Soul Silver! And I’ve played most of those games more then once lol. I keep notes on all the Pokémon on my teams and their stats, names, abilities, all the jazz, and it definitely came in handy for this project! I will say though, I’ve used legendarys on my teams before, but I just didn’t have space for Pokémon that big for this, so I didn’t include any of the legendarys (I’m so sorry Nebby the Solgaleo)

I love Pokémon so so much and I’m incredibly happy with how this turned out!

Here are my picks for video games! Best soundtrack was really close between Diamond(/Pearl/Platinum) and BW/B2W2 because Driftveil City is a banger but Lake Theme is gorgeous and Route 201 is literally the theme of my ACNH island, so... 😅 Although SoulSilver is also pretty close with National Park and Goldenrod City... oh man, maybe i just really love pokémon soundtracks 🫣

Side note: a lot of the early pokémon games were my "childhood games", but I put Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky because that's the game I would love to experience for the first time as a child again.

SOULSILVER BADGE QUEST SHINY #8

I named him Morsel <3 Extremely relieved to find this shiny after 14 months of hunting. Mind you this wasn’t done religiously, as I’ve been quite busy with school, but it was a long time coming nonetheless!

I’ve always been pretty flexible with my approach to shiny hunting in BQs, and Tyrogue being my target for Claire despite having already beaten Claire over a year ago is a funny example of that! And since I don’t plan on doing the Kanto part of SS in the conventional BQ way (it has taken me THREE YEARS to get to this point and I need to be reasonable), this should be the final member of the SS BQ!

I might hunt a quick MM Magby before though to cover Kanto and because I really want a shiny Magmortar in 4th gen. Maybe.

After finding my shiny Eevee (now Umbreon) in Goldenrod City (08/09/2019), I decided to try my very first roamer hunt in SoulSilver.

I started this hunt approximately 3 years and 9 months ago.

On May 15th, 2023, I FINALLY FOUND ONE!! Shiny Raikou after 6,734 SRs / 13,467 Seen.

Raikou took a LOT of my patience, sanity and time. It wasn’t even my target (Entei was), but I never gave up. This is my most important hunt of my shiny hunting career, and it goes to show that as long as you keep going for your target it will shine eventually. Numerous shiny hunters inspired me to keep going, especially sonikks on YT, so thank you all very much for motivating me throughout these years! I managed to catch Raikou today and would like to show it off 🧡💛🖤

I can’t get a new one if I don’t know.
