Yes there is a pokemon games timeline and according to bulbapedia there's a twelve year gap between hgss/dppt and bw. Also if u assume red is 10 in gen 1 then when he appears in sun and moon he's like 29. Which is fucking wild to me.

We Weren’t Good But We Had Chances

(Ambiguous) Pairing: Terry McGinnis/Thad Thawne

Summary:

This is a very short ficlet/drabble that takes place in an AU where Thad has suddenly found himself alive and displaced in Terry's time. Thad and Terry have formed a bit of a bond as hero and villain to the point that they even run into each other outside of their suits and the routine of hero and villain. And this is just one of those moments and one, which they find they have more in common than they think and that they’ve changed each other’s lives a bit too.

(Basically I love a good Hero and Villain relationships and interactions.)

                                                        * * * Alone on the rooftop Thad lights a cigarette. In contrast to all of the futuristic technology of the century it feels antiquated to see the familiar object lit between his fingers now. He places the object that usually would have offended him between his lips and inhales as he looks out toward the city skyline. The shades of red and orange in the sky were fading into the coming night. People were home with their loved ones and here he was alone, and contemplating. 

Thad lets out a hacking cough, his lungs burning against the damaging substance. He had never smoked before; never dreamed of it or even desired it, but stubbornly he inhaled the smoke. He had always treated his body with reverence because he couldn’t live without his speed, but now he wasn’t sure he could live. 

“Never smoked before?” A familiar voice behind him says.

Reason: This is the first fic I wrote for my Dispered Time AU for Thad (who in the short of it is time dispersed after his death) and Terry

And if you do not mind my tooting my own horn I really like the title I gave this fic because I’m notoriously terrible at naming fics.

Pairing: Juan/Kabu

Summary:

A fire-type trainer from Galar challenges Juan at the Sootopolis Gym and reminds him of pieces of his past and his relationship with Kabu throughout the years.

Reason: This fic was specifically inspired by @osheets​’ JuanKabu (overseasshipping) fanart (which I highly recommend looking at and their other art). I’m including this fic because I just had a lot of fun writing a pairing that doesn’t have a lot of background or headcanons surrounding it, so it was fun for me to explore and come up with my own thoughts and interweaving all these separate moments to make something sweet! And even though it’s a very rarepair I just really love the potential they have. Also Juan doesn’t get much attention so

Where Towers Stand

Fandom: Pokemon

Pairing: Morty/Falkner (Honorshipping)

Summary:

With the death of a loved one Falkner's world begins to spiral as he's unable to properly fulfill his Gym Leader duties. At the request of the Pokemon Association, Morty is forced to intervene and find out what is going on in Violet City and with the Violet City Gym Leader. Through these events Falkner and Morty's lives slowly begin to change.

Reason: This is my first long prose fanfic, and while it’s not finished yet it is one fic I feel very proud of so far as I’m slowly developing Morty and Falkner’s relationship. It’s also a long project I’ve committed to and have extensively planned and made notes for. I’m incredibly excited to progress with this fic and see how it develops as well.

Pairing: Steven Stone/Wallace (Originshipping)

Summary:

Set in the Ruby and Sapphire canon and events of Emerald (and a bit of DPPt): After his loss to Brendan and the loss of his title as Champion, Steven seeks comfort and advice from his long time friend Wallace in Sootopolis City. No longer Champion he begins to question himself and who he is. Inspired by Steven's letter in R/S/E where he says, "I've decided to do a little soul-searching and train on the road. I don't plan to return home for some time."

So he was no longer champion. After so many years this was suddenly it. Steven was happy for Brendan, happy for how much the young trainer and his friend May had grown on their respective journeys, happy they’ve accomplished their own dreams as trainers, but at the end of the day as his Skarmory and him flew on the wind, he couldn’t help, but feel a tender and painful pang in his chest as well. 

In their descent he made out Sootopolis City. This was where, of all the places he could have gone (Rustboro, Mossdeep, even back to Ever Grande City), that Steven had chosen to go. Of all the places he wanted to be first as simply another trainer was in Sootopolis with Wallace.

Reason: I’m incredibly happy with this fic because it’s written from my love of Pokemon, but also my love of the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald series, which were my first introduction to the main Pokemon games and for Steven and Wallace. I adore their characters so much and have such nostalgia for them in particular as the champions. This fic is just a labor of love for me.

A Simulacrum of Love

Fandom: DC Comics, Impulse Comics, Flash Comics

Summary:

Thad after reevaluating the events of his life, decisions he has made, and how he was treated in his youth, and finally confronts his father and creator, President Thawne for all he’s done to him.

...Thad let out a shuddering exhale as he stopped in his tracks. His hands clenched by his sides tight and trembling. It wasn’t the smell that made him feel sick or caused him to dig his nails into the flesh of his palms and turn his knuckles white. It was something else that twisted and writhed inside him. That forced him to stop as he tried to move forward. 

He wasn’t the same boy who had once be so loyal to his family. He was no longer so naive and trusting of his father. He didn’t desire his praise or his false love. Thad knew the bitter truth and had swallowed it. He had finally accepted it and now he had so much to still do. Even now burdened and embittered and weighed down by what had been done to him and what he had done. He knew he had so much to make up for.  But first he needed to do this for himself.  

His self preservation be damned he had to return. He had to face his father.

Reason:

I honestly thought it would so interesting to show Thad’s obsessive, stubborn, and hyperfocused nature, all aspects I associate with the Thawnes, used against his father President Thawne. I wanted show that while these are characteristics had a good side and a bad side within Thad. That while he’s determined he’s also obsessive. That his obsession and these qualities can be taken to a self destructive point and at times he cannot see that he’s harming himself as well.

I also had some notes for this fic that inspired me to write it:

Thad wants to make amends for his mistakes now that he's had time and distance away from his actions and his life.

Thad's obsessive and stubborn qualities are apparent throughout all of his appearances, so I wanted to display that in this fic and how he wants to make things right even at the detriment of his own health. Thad's definitely has mentally unhealthy patterns/characteristics.

I love the idea/theme of Thad sorta living up to the name Inertia as well as despite things changing for Thad he also seems not to change or finds himself in similar experiences. Essentially the more things change the more they stay the same for him. The idea of Thad going through these sort of patterns interests me.

Maybe something you've caught onto is how President Thawne refers to Thad as "Thaddeus" in the moments he berates him and "Thad" in the moments he wants Thad to believe him. I personally headcanon that Thad calls himself Thad as a way of differentiating himself from President Thawne since he is named after him, but also when Pres. Thawne calls him "Thaddeus" he's being very purposeful in denying Thad his individuality.

Also the disjointedness of knowing something in your head vs experiencing something/emotions is also something I loved seeing in Thad. He's had so few good experiences, so few people who have had a positive role in his life that even facing Thawne and knowing he's lying to him that it's difficult for him to act on that logical part of himself.

And fun fact: This fic is inspired by the instances in the Impulse comics that Thad utilizes a VR to trap Bart in a series of imaginary worlds and the time Bart (as Kid Flash) in Teen Titans (v3 #98) uses a Virtual Chamber to get revenge on Thad for killing him.
