he already has a name! his name is jengibre, or ginger in galarian. unlike rehab wild pokemon, i name all my fosters, because they will eventually be adopted out. he earned the named because he's a wonderful gingery color...and much like his foster mama, he's got a little spicy sass to him.

I think only nouns should count so I'm eliminating everything else that has an adjective or a verb, like Primeape) Gengar (apparently a gen is a scientific name for a part of the cheek but I don't think scientific names should count) Cubone (I don't think quantifiers should count either) Dragonair (are dragons natural?) Hoothoot (can the one part be repeated twice?) Slugma (not only is ma slang, I don't know if the concept of mother is natural, same with other words for interpersonal relations, like king or bro) Taillow (are lows natural?) Letting an irl friend name my shiny Pokémon was a great idea

We’ve got some nice sounding ones like Nellie the Gabite, Lorenzo the Gible, and Bonnie the Cetoddle

Then there’s Locus Pocus the Lokix, Pinkilicious the Oricorio, and Bob the Lapras XD

A perfect variety of silly and “normal” names! Better than any I would have done on my own that’s for sure!

Ok. Ok. You know what gets me though.

This Pokemon.

This Pokemon is called Mudsdale because it evolves from Mudbray. Sure.

But based off of the stiffness and color of it's "fur", it could actually be clay. That red color is totally clay, right? Which makes sense because clay could be considered an upgrade from mud, considering it's utility and strength.

And it's a Clydesdale.

So WHY

I plan on picking Sprigatito when scarlet and violet come out. And while I have a first choice name (Catnip), I don't have a backup name if the Nintendo censors refuse to allow Catnip. Any ideas?

My own idea for Sprigatito was to translate the names of various green herbs into Spanish. I went with Tomillo for mine, which is thyme - and has the added benefit of referencing a tomcat.

Other options I didn't choose are

Romero - rosemary

Eneldo - dill

Perifollo - chervil
