Blipbug Facts

-The scientific name for Blipbug is "Parvum Praedica" which translates to "Small prediction"

-Blipbug got its name from bug (obviously), but also Blip, meaning small. Blip also is the term for the sound a radar makes when it senses something (which fits the entire line)

-The term, Bookbug (someone who likes to read) came from Blipbug

-Blipbug are herbivores and only eat flower petals, pollen, and leaves, but newborn Blipbug eat the decaying Pokemon protecting their eggs (explained in another post that I'll link at the end)

-Though weak and usually running from danger, Blipbug are incredibly calculative Pokemon and observe their enemies from afar, finding their weak points. Though, they don't really do much with this information, it does contribute to the reason why Orbeetles are so vengeful

-They are one of the smartest first-staged bug Pokemon

-Like most bug types, Blipbug aren't (usually) raised by their parents. Instead, they'll live on their own and use their small bodies to hide from predators on their own

-When caught by a predator, there last resort is to shoot a gross orange sliny substance from their abdomens to distract the predator, giving them an opening to escape

-Blipbug's bright colors is a false warning to predators. If you don't already know, bright colors in early stage bug types usually means that they're poisonous. Blipbug isn't poisonous at all. Unlucky for them, a lot of predators have already realized this

-Blipbug's favorite berries are oran berries, pecha berries, and grappa berries

-Because the entire line has very good eyesight, Blipbugs are often mascots for glasses companies

-Because of their smarts, they are common symbols for science communities/clubs or schools

-Blipbug have a very small amount of psychic energy, which gets put almost entirely into their feelers. They are able to smell and taste with them, but they also have enough energy to feel things that aren't even touching them

-Because of how sensitive their feelers and fuzz are, it's important to be careful when handling them. Petting them too long or too aggressively can cause overstimulation

i bought the pkmn sword dlc yesterday and i'm playing it rn and. yeah actually i prefer this art style over what sv is going with yknow O(-( i like how people look so much more in swsh than sv

#clai speaks #wow imagine still playing sword when scarlet and violet have been released-- #sv made pokemon like magnemite super shiny and. yeah thats about all it has over swsh aesthetically in my eyes #i never did get used to how sv renders the human character's hair admittedly. i prefer the simpler way #However. going back to an older game after how many quality of life changes sv made is kinda painful HKEGJDBDK #THE POKE BALL SHOOK SO SLOWLY I THOUGHT MY GAME WAS LAGGING #i keep opening my menu expecting to see my pokemon on the left but No. and then bc of that i accidentally open the pokedex #also! havent gotten too far into the dlc so i cant say much on it yet. i think klara is funny tho
