Ah, yes, the classic “I’m going to get mad at the headline and not read the actual article” syndrome.

I’m pretty sure starting “A man wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years” doesn’t make the state look good, even if it is by accident.

I looked up the article. Here’s the first sentence;

(CNN)A 35-year-old man who spent almost 19 years wrongfully imprisoned for murder after detectives misled a witness into identifying the wrong person, is now free.

Later on

 Gonzales said the case against Thomas "was compromised from the very start by grave errors and lack of probable cause to arrest Mr. Thomas. He was further deprived of his due process rights when the prosecution proceeded even after the erroneous identification came to light, making his conviction fundamentally unfair."

and

 During a pretrial hearing in 2006, the detective on the case admitted during cross examination that he used a photo of the wrong Sheldon Thomas, admitting that he falsely testified, Gonzales said. Another detective then said Thomas told them he was not the man in the photo, according to the DA's office.

and

"Each of these errors, on its own, deprived defendant of a fair trial," the report concluded. "Together the errors undermined the integrity of the entire judicial process and defendant's resulting conviction."

So, yeah, the article is not remotely defending the system.

Like I said. People will act like headlines are supposed to have the whole story. 

I can’t believe I had to defend CNN. Do these idiots ever consider that CNN has legal reasons to not editorialize? It’s not like they’ve got a lot of money to fight off lawsuits.

This is a humanitarian issue that quite frankly the UN needs to get involved in.

Please remember the average age of a Palestinian is 25 meaning that a large group being affected is children, learning about the children shouldn't make people care more (as they should care even if it was just adults) but you know it does which is why I mention it.

I don't get political on here often, but I do point out human rights issues and discrimination, and right now people need to know what is occurring when media outlets won't share it.

Please remember that while yes there will be anti-Semitic language used right now, being in support of the Palestinian civilians is not, you can also acknowledge that the civilians of Israel are not the government.

Here is a simple video to give a general idea of what is occurring

It is an older video so please look more into what is currently occurring, but please look at the source, look at the message it is pushing and please look into what government this station falls under and where they currently stand on the conflict that will give you a clear idea if there is a stark bias.

Two years later, still no justice.

In the middle of the night on March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old EMT, was senselessly killed by police as she slept in her own home. Breonna was a daughter, friend, sister, and hero in her community.

Since her death, no one has been charged for her murder. The only semblance of justice that we have seen is the passing of the Breonna Law in Kentucky. But there is still much work to be done to ensure that other innocent people do not continue to lose their lives in the same manner.
