Request: I was thinking about a Lost Boys x little!reader (they/them) where y/n wants to go hang out with the guys and Star during their nightly trips to the boardwalk, but once they saw all the carnival rides and games, they regressed and can’t partake in an rambunctious activity.

It can include all the lost boys, but maybe be mostly Marko that y/n is gravitating to for comfort 🌟

a/n: im sorry it took me so long to post this, i had such awful writers block and i had to study for my final exams :']

It was another warm night in cave and I was very much bored. I was in my nest, trying to entertain myself with so much stuff in there but they all failed. I went to the main cave where most of them were. I wondered if they were there or they went on a hunt. When I got there I only founded Star

“Hey, where are boys?”

I questioned confused,

“They went on a hunt” she replied.

“What about you? Did you go?” I questioned her again,

“Yes I did, don't worry” she replied,

“Okay” I said, I went to sit by her side as I watched her sewing one of boys shirts. After a while boys came back, I looked at them and smiled,

“Hey little one” Marko said as he went to me and I ran into his arms and pretty much tried to ignore the fresh blood on him. I felt another pair of hands hug me and I looked up to see Paul.

“Hey” I said softly,

“Hey sugar” Paul replied with grin,

“Can we go to the boardwalk?” I asked while looking at all of them,

“We'll go when we clean ourselves up” David stated to me,

“Okey” I replied, Marko and Paul let go of me and went to the other side of cave with others. After a short time they came back and we went to the boardwalk. Star rode with Dwayne this time and I rode with Marko. When we arrived they parked their bikes in usual spot. When I saw so many carnival rides and games, I felt so little and everything seemed big. I didn't realise I held onto Marko a bit tight,

“Hey, are you okay?” He asked me and I nodded a bit. I let go of him and kept my hands to myself.

“You feeling little baby?” Dwayne asked me and I nodded to that.

“Oh amore, we can still do fun stuff, we'll keep you safe okay?” Marko stated to me and held my hand.

“Okay” I replied to him softly, after that we went on rides and played games. I was getting something to drink because I was getting really thirsty. As I was on my way to boys bikes I accidentally bumped into someone, it was nothing surprising to bump into someone as everything was filled with so many people,

“Hey! Watch where you're going!” The man said with an angry tone,

“Im so sorry sir, I didn't mean to do that” I replied to him but he didn't like that either, for some reason, he was going on a rant on how he could've spilled his drink on himself and stuff. I was still trying to apologize and go away but he didn't let me go. When I tried to leave, he grabbed me by my arms and started yelling at me. Which caused me to feel panicked, my heart racing, fear and similar feelings and yelling was making me cry, so I had started forming tears in my eyes.

“Oh now you're crying, are you a little–” He got cut off by someone punching him and his grip loosen which I had my chance to escape and I did. I went into Marko's arms sobbing and I felt him wrapping his arms around me,

“Hey, hey, its okay, you're safe now love” He said comforting me and blocking my view to whats happening. Marko went with me to their bikes and he looked me,

“Im sorry little one, I should've went with you to get that drink and not let you go on your own when in your in this state of mind” He apologized to me and held his hands on my cheeks,

“You didn't know that was gonna happen M” I said to him confused by his apology and Marko looked worried.

“Did he hurt you love?” He asked,

“No, he just held my arms really hard and tight” I said to him which made him worry more,

“Amore, then he hurt you” He explained to me,

“Oh” I replied to him,

“May I?” He asked and I nodded. He took of my jacket to see how bad I was hurt and it left kind of visible hand print and Marko felt so much anger. I put my jacket back on as others came. Marko looked at them and honestly I guess they talked with each other with their mind thingys or whatever it is called. David came to my side as I watched Marko leaving us and I went with him but I got stopped by David.

“I want M” I said to them,

“We know love, he just has something to take care of” Dwayne explained to me, he knew I didn't like that answer and he looked at me being angry and starting to have tears in my eyes again. Star pulled me into her arms and she was trying to comfort me as Marko was coming back.

Daniel??? Who’s lips speak nothing but sweet nectar? Who’s so soft spoken and wise and somehow holds you in his mind above all else? That Daniel??

part of what attracted him to you in the first place, was how you could see him and your first instinct not be scared and disturbed. Worried and careful, but not afraid that you’d come to harm. You saw him as a person first (or- ghost?), as himself, as Daniel Robitaille— and then as the legend.

Norman Bates

I think I talked about this for the long distance HCs I did but uhh.

Norman abso-freaking-lutely writes you letters!

so maybe it started as a tradition, of giving letters to each other. Long distance or not. Norman finds it so soothing. It’s much easier to write all his feelings down than speak it aloud— you must feel a little like that too, right? He can’t be alone in that feeling :(

you surprise him one day, with the prettiest words dedicated to only him. He’s so happy holy cow :’( he’s gonna tear up a bit, but he’s so bashful about it. You might not even notice that he’s crying, if it weren’t for how long you were together; you know his tells now.

Mother may attempt to “protect” him and not let him read the letters. Kind of like, the part of him that doesn’t think he deserves this nice thing or thinks it too good to be true.

he’ll need some reassurances but hey, if you’re able to print your heart on the page for him, I think you can muster some courage to comfort him when he needs it <3

The Lost Boys

all the boys have pretty similar feelings??? but MUCH different reactions.

David has a secret soft spot and has written both men and women, in his past, love letters. Not quite poems...but not too far off from what you're doing....right??? And he's also received many a poem and letter from previous (human) lovers.

he keeps his favorites tucked away on the inside of his jacket

I feel like Dwayne has dabbled a bit in it.

Paul is a fucking goof but I promise...somewhere around his brain...hidden beneath some layers maybe?? he can be serious about things. He'll kiss you and tell you that he loves you. And if the poem was just for him, he'll be a little obnoxious and show it off to the rest of the lost boys. It only really gets under David's skin.

Billy is far less openly endearing and appreciative about it than Stu is. he thinks it's so sweet, really. but he has no idea how to properly tell you how much it REALLY means without totally baring his soul to you.

. . .it almost feels like you've already seen him inside out though, with the way you've poured your love onto the page.

it's almost scary how well you know him. . .

expect him to be a little defensive and weird about it when you first show him any of the writings.

it's that whole "I'm so scared of being known" (+ so intimately at that). this coping mechanism from his trauma acts up and makes him pull away.

whether or not you're hesitant to show him again. if you keep trying to connect with him or whatever .

I think his rock, Stu, is ultimately what gets him to really open up. to let himself love you and know you, and vice versa. he's done it once with his boyfriend, he can do it again.

ALSO all of this might change depending on what point in their lives you begin writing and sharing these with them (and I suppose also how long you've been together...but I feel like poems aren't something most do early on in relationships..?)

Billy is more reclusive if it's in high school, in college it's not too different...but he's able to face his feelings just a teeny bit easier <3

Helen Lyle

Helen actually writes you little notes and stuff, but it's usually meant to tease you. Sometimes they're cute and heartfelt, but it's not quite her thing, y'know?

When she starts receiving these poems from you though? Oh my, she is in love. She is really in love.

She half expects the paper to read like something she would've wrote for you. Something silly and dirty and to be read only once or twice, when accidentally found in between the text book pages.

She's so surprised to see it's something so sweet.

The poems really help the two of you bond and show affection towards each other! Especially if you're in a queer relationship, and may need to have things on the down low.

If people see Helen smiling down at her notes, let them think what they want- but they'll never know who it's from or how much it means. It's your special secret between each other <3

afhiri, but if performing will tell people their name is gift ^_^ afhiri does have a surname i just haven't decided what it is yet because it's almost better to me if no one ever finds out. even me candor's actual name is raguel, but chose the virtue name candor for itself! this was with intent for when it introduced itself to afhiri, but it completely failed when he realised afhiri doesn't know what candour means :D cirok is a name that they picked themselves after his failed transformation into a kaorti and became a rivener! it's actual name is long lost, and no one will ever learn it

Nickname(s):

afhiri has the nicknames hiri and iri, and various pet names from their various partners. "sweet clown" and "my favourite bard" are used often by gale! a fun fact is gale will give afhiri moon and star related names, and candor will give afhiri sun related names! candor is called candy by afhiri, and they'll tease it with lots of "you're so sweet! like candy!" hehehe... the torment melts the heart of even the most honourable of angels cirok is called cir by afhiri but other than that their name doesn't actually get used often, since it only really interacts with afhiri and gale. gale calls cirok "it" a lot, and "phantom", using cirok mostly when afhiri pouts at him. it sounds mean but cirok doesn't mind and sometimes prefers the depersonalisation of it

afhiri is intersex and was raised to be a boy from birth, however they developed to look more like a girl, causing a lot of inner turmoil and conflict. afhiri is transfem and nonbinary. they also take testosterone to feel closer to their masculinity. she/they pronouns! candor is quite literally a sexless solar angel, but is maculine in appearence and presentation. calling candor a man in any form would be incorrect. he/it/they pronouns! cirok is nonbinary. don't ask whats under its clothes... vaguely gestures to the fact it's a failed kaorti transformation. it/they with heavy preference for it/its.

I don’t know if any of y’all are polyamorous, but as far as I’m concerned you guys are like pillars of queer community knowledge so do y’all have any advice in general for polyam relationships? I feel like I did everything right and I’m still going through the hardest breakup I’ve ever had. Flattered that you think we're all pillars of queer knowledge, however that is SO MUCH PRESSURE and we are all just dumbasses like everyone else trying to figure shit out. Anyway several of us have been polyamorous on and off, Zeke and Zac are actually dating each other while also involved in some other mess of a polycule structure with a bunch of strands, but it's all really too complicated to give general advice for. It sounds like you've heard the advice on OVER-COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE EVERYTHING SO HARD, and it still didn't work out for you. Sometimes it just ends up that way. It's hard enough to find two humans who are absolutely meant for each other and when you start glomming more humans onto that it's just infinitely harder.

Don't know enough about your situation to give good advice for what you could do differently in the future, but what happened to you sounds completely devastating, and we're so deeply sorry.

My first edition of Tristan had the nickname Trix, fc of Laura Harrier, and was a lot more jittery, stiff and serious, and likeIy to hide behind Viktor. Tis isn't -- confrontational but xe is Tired and not looking to run. Xe's an Adult and xe isn't going to go looking for xyr past but xe is not going to not face it if it comes xe's way. Xe has a mixture of Mature and just Done approach [but there is a deep latent teasing that Theo can draw out ... at the cost of poor Viktor.] That said, xe is also not that social [though xe isnt against a fun time].

Druid Jaehee's Nursery - TA Jaehee/Elderflower fic

A very silly NSFW take on the world of Terrrium Adventure (manhua), speculating on breeding being used to dupe rare pulls. Even the ship Jaehee/Elderflower, has to be the most casual (bickering) friends-with-benefits ship I've ever written. Although considering how fast and loose I play with worldbuilding references, yeah can understand why NOBODY read it, lol. (I actually had a spinoff featuring Sydling and his Dryads written but sadly lost it cause like a ninny I wrote it in Notepad)

JUNE

Quartet’s Common Time - a FE3H Annie/Mercie/Dedue/Dimitri fic

This is the fic that got the most investment/writing time this year. Big polyam smutfic (f/f, m/m, multi) with nods to Faerghus politics. Very happy with the love we gave the Dimitri/Annette rarepair, along with the various flavors of Dedue/Mercedes (the domestic fluff was a persona fav). Finished, it ended up at a hefty 26,908 words (I do wish we had some more comments for that end chapter... no idea what readers thought of it) Cowritten with the wonderful @mrmissmrsrandom and we'll continue to post for this verse.

OCTOBER-DECEMBER

Daemoni - FE14 Marx/Hinoka demon!AU

A fic that burst into being from a combination this year's spoopy month having a true Friday 13th + this great piece of fanart. While I did initially have a different ending planned, I pivoted to the current one and its frankly been a stress-free write. I'm just going loosey goosey with my monster/myth interpretations and largely making up things as I've gone, but I'm quite enjoying this verse- and I think readers have too? At least, two of them have. …I might still post my OG ending idea, but as a oneshot (it'd be spicy).

My free time activities shifted quite a bit half way through the year, and admittedly I've still not finished a FE17 run- for various reasons. However, it feels like I never hit burnout this year, and boy, most years that's the case at one time or another. Feels like my writing interests have gotten even more niche- likely cause the games involved are getting even older/I remain a rarepair captain. Let's all stay sane in 2024!

I love Shoshana! What's her story?

she was originally from a small colony in the twolegplace out by leveeclan. their colony consisted just of their family, most of which being her older siblings + their mates/kits and one surprise kitten born after her. most of her siblings actually didnt survive past kithood, so there are large age gaps between the surviving siblings.

the colony was lead by her father, with her oldest brother as his right hand man. while it wasn't maliciously suppressive under them, they were insanely overprotective of the mollies in the colony due to the hereditary issues surrounding pregnancy and kitting. every tom the girls wanted to be with had to be vetted by the patriarchs and most of the time they were rejected until a suitable tom was found. this was not the case for the son's mates, something shoshana saw as unfair.

growing up she was the baby for most of her life and was often treated as such. it frustrated her because she wanted to be treated fairly like her brothers were and wasn't allowed to wander very far, much less on her own. she resorted to sneaking away often, and unfortunately got caught most times due to her clumsy nature at the time.

she met ermine and jackrabbit when they were all young adults (just shy of 13-15 moons old) when the boys came all the way from the valley to trade some resources with leveeclan (ermine had chicken eggs, wool, and chicken feathers from the farm, jackrabbit had herbs that leveeclan couldn't find much of where they lived)

she clicked with them instantly, getting along with fellow-extrovert jackrabbit like a house on fire while shy, awkward ermine was immediately enraptured by her pretty face and followed the two of them around like a dog. the toms would make routine visits, sometimes to get away from home and other times for trading business, and ermine especially would go out of his way to find shoshana.

they fell in love quick and she eventually introduced him to her family - they were not pleased since he lived so far away and smelled weird. shoshana wouldn't cave in, though, and soon eloped with her new lover to the farm. (also side note theyre polyam - ermine is currently partners with both shoshana and jackrabbit but the latter two are not romantically involved since jackrabbit is gay lol)

the pair struggled to have kits for a good few moons until they finally conceived. the pregnancy was rough on her and she got sick numerous times, but thankfully jackrabbit wasnt too far away and would sometimes stay a few days at a time.

while she made it through kitting, one of the kits was stillborn which devastated her greatly. still, she and ermine did their best to make sure the remaining 2 would survive. unfortunately, only sable made it past the winter.

as a result she became rather protective and fussy over her son, repeating the same thing her own parents did to her. though with ermine's more hands-off-but-watchful approach and the rest of the farm colony there to help raise him, she managed to reel herself in and stop before she ends up smothering him. she's still rather neurotic, though, and sometimes has moments where she fusses too much or gets in fights over curfew.

she and ermine tried to have kits again multiple times to no avail. all it did was make her depressed and she lost steam, giving up entirely. at some point after this she was TNR'd by the farmers on the property. it was certainly a shock to her at first but she resigned herself to it since she'd given up on having kits again anyway.

motherhood wouldn't end with sable, though, as she helped the other mollies of the farm colony raise their kittens. later, a young, expecting tom from hootclan named driftwood approached her and ermine and asked if they would raise his and stoathawk's kits after they were born. ermine was hesitant to the idea and pushed back, claiming it was stoathawk's responsibility to be a father and that hootclan could help care for them as well. shoshana's desperation to have kits of her own again made her accept the offer immediately but ermine and driftwood (and later stoathawk, as he is ermine's half brother) would go back and forth on it.

(aside: it wasn't about not wanting to raise someone else's kits but instead ermine's trauma of being abandoned by his bio father rearing its ugly head for the first time in a long time. he expected stoathawk, someone whose father had been present, to understand the consequences and make sure those kits were taken care of and being responsible. it blinded him for a while and he wasn't able to see that stoat and drift genuinely were not prepared to be parents. more on that later tho lol!!!)

ultimately ermine conceded and it was arranged that driftwood would stay at the barn once he got closer to delivery. shoshana was fretting and pacing as if she were the one pregnant and was there to help driftwood in those last few weeks.

when the immediate postpartum phase became life threatening for driftwood, shoshana thought quickly enough to bring the twolegs over to help him, even climbing into the truck with them on the way to the vet.

luckily driftwood would be saved, but shoshana was brought home to the farm while he stayed to recover. once home she immediately assumed position as a queen for the newborns junebug and beachbug. it took some outside help for her to produce milk again but they got it to work and she fed them with no problem. she and ermine raised those two as their own.

of course, she felt some jealousy and possessiveness when driftwood would come back and try to bond with them, but he would reassure her that he trusts her to raise them more than he does himself and appreciates her greatly for what shes done for him. shoshana likes driftwood a lot despite the bitter feelings that creep up every now and then.

currently the twins are in the apprentice-age-range but with every passing day she cant help but feel pride and love for all her kittens regardless of blood.

shoshana is a quick witted, independent molly with a lot of love to give, though sometimes it may come off as too much and smothering at times. she's always aspired to be a mother and caretaker and does her part to help other queens with their kits, having done so for her sisters' and brothers' kits while growing up. she, ermine, and jackrabbit are happy together and she's deeply proud of sable, beachbug, and junebug even if they are a bit rowdy and break the curfew rules more often than not - they remind her of herself when she was young and she has to tell herself to let them make their own choices. she's overall a very powerful and loyal ally to have.

you yelled as you slapped your room door and locking it. You could hear banging on door and yelling coming from other side.

You were laying on the floor in silence and fear, asking yourself over and over again ‘Why the hell am I here?’ and are you losing your mind? Your world has turned to dust ever since you came out to your dad, you thought he would be happy to have a son, you always heard from him that you were meant to be boy. How he would could you his perfect son and now when you are, everything turned upside down. You felt like no one was around, if you could scream you would but you couldn't make a sound. You knew you were slowly dying inside while tears were coming from your eyes and won't stop. You knew you would be like that all night until you heard a sound like someone is throwing rocks at your window. You slowly stood up, wiping away your tears, trying to looking like you weren't crying. You open window to see your four boyfriends waiting for you to come, shit you forgot you were supposed to meet them at boardwalk half hour ago. You didn't bother dressing up because you were wearing [band] t-shirt, jacket Dwayne gave to you, black ripped jeans and boots. At this point you didn't care how you looked around them you were happy that they were in your life and that you could trust someone. You hoped your dad wasn't in living room or near it, you were slowly coming down stairs trying to not make any noises until you exited the house. That went pretty well,

you heard one of your boyfriends call, you went to them and gave them all kisses and hugs. Soon after that you went to boardwalk as promised, none of them questioned why you didn't show up at promised time. They probably thought you forgot cause of your bad memory issues but what was important to them is that you were there with them. Boys and you were walking down boardwalk looking at many rides and many arcade Santa Carla has to offer. You would asked them if you could go to some rides, go to arcades or anything, which happily they would agree not questioning why you needed their approval in first place, they thought it was cute you asked them to make sure its okay with them. You were having fun until your eyes landed on your father, whose looking at you with either anger, disappointment or both. You didn't realise you went away from boys, everything was mute to you and that feeling was coming back. You didn't knew what boys seen in you and when they looked at you. You were sitting on floor, back against some building, head between your knees while arms hugged your legs. That question repeated in your head ‘Should I end it all?’ if you couldn't be free from all of this or boys seen a fighter in you not ready to leave with a burning desire to live. You felt a hand on your shoulder and someone speaking to you but you couldn't manage to hear what they said. Feeling of bare chest, hand stroking your back while other hand hold you tight made you realise you were in Dwaynes arms. By that you knew others were with you or they were near. You couldn't really see your surroundings as your vision was complete blur. You just heard him comforting you, making sure you were alright and yes or no questions. You closed your eyes as you calmed down, you went more into his chest seeking for more comfort and he happily gave you more. Soon you felt kisses all over your face, some praises and hand stroking your back.

“Is he feeling alright?”

questioned David, Dwayne looked up to him and nodded. David was glad you were doing better. After you calmed down you went to beach. You were sitting on Dwaynes lap as he was giving you kisses on your neck and cheek, David was next to you while Paul and Marko were in ocean, splashing each other and laughing. You watched as they swam in ocean which some people called life. You were always looking for an escape from everything happening in your life recently, you didn't know what that would be, maybe reading comics, drawing, reading or sleeping? You didn't know. Maybe it could be just staring at ceiling in your room as memories of your father and you flooded your mind, how you would have a fight, having good moment together, him teaching you how to properly use a gun and many many more. You were drowning and drowning in memories of your father and you that you didn't realise David was calling you.

“Hey Y/n. You okay?”

he asked while looking at you, you shaked your head to stop memories then look at him while nodding signaling to him your fine. He just looked at you to confirm it and you gave him a smile,

“Im seriously fine Davey, don't worry!”

you reassured him. This time he was one to nod, you didn't know if he believed you or not, you also didn't know if he was reading your mind. You knew that they were vampires, they told you themselves. You were looking around the beach until you spotted a father and a son having nice moment together. You had that feeling again like you were bounded in chains with a stone in youre chest while lungs were filling with memories, you were drowning in them so fast and it was getting harder and harder to breath. Boys noticed your behaviour and took you to cave, they probably read your memories and knew what was going on. You were this time in Pauls arms, David walking around the cave, Dwayne sitting on couch observing everything while Marko wasn't here, you didn't knew where he was. After some time he came with some bottle covered in some shiny gems or whatever they were called as he gave it to David who came to you. You looked at him,

“Come on kitten, drink up, be with us for eternity and forget him.”

he assured, as he was holding bottle in front of you waiting for your answer as everybody else. You didn't care, you knew you would be safe with them that they would protect you forever. You were still recovering from what happened at beach, so your hands were shaking but you open your mouth. You watched him grin while he poured liquid in your mouth as you heard cheering from others.

“We know exactly someone perfect for your first kill handsome.”

Paul mentioned as he held you and gave you kisses. You drank all liquid from bottle and smiled, David held your chin as he kissed you. You knew you were perfectly safe and protected with them.

i got the idea to kill her parents in a fire from an idea from a year prior to making her, where the main character's home burnt down mysteriously and a wild absol saved them, forcing them to embark on a journey. i never developed this idea much further so i instead recycled elements from this to make rhea and sara.

that main character's pokemon included every eeveeloution, hence where i got her theme from.

originally rhea was also going to be an empath but i figured i liked her being autistic instead, so i switched it.

she's polyam! right now the idea is her to be shipped with victoria and saphira.

her family heirloom is called the obsidian starshard- it is the 5th key to the ruins under reborn. long ago one of her ancestors (i assume a grandparent,) stole the starshard and fled reborn for alola. a small branch of the guardians of the ruins chased after them to retrieve it, but they were always evaded. it eventually led to her mother passing it down to her to keep the organization on their toes when they caught up to her years later.

that eventually ended up leading rhea back to reborn. small world, huh?

the main reason why hasumi isn’t a mega (...anymore) is because she doesn’t like changing into that form.

sumi is very protective of sara

they can’t resist a challenge, especially when someone baits them into doing it, even though they know exactly what’s going on

they don't like billionaires

bad spending habits. if they see something they want they will get it.

affectionate name calling. their favorite thing to call people is dumbass.

vision in their right eye is a little worse than their left

it deeply pains sumi to see her trainer suffer and she does what she does best: be there for them like they would for her

sara's name means devil

their favorite flower is the moonflower. they use shampoo with its scent.

their second favorite is the desert rose.

as hinted with that last one, they like succulents

the first thing i decided about them was their ace

she has a small collection of fountain pens

i went back and forth between black and white hair for them for a good second before i settled on white. but i like to think that they've dyed their hair black before

their spice tolerance isnt terrible. they can tolerate a good amount of spice since they're more resistant to pain, but its just not her thing usually

they walk silently if there's nothing on the ground to interfere with it like leaves

she thought of battle more like a means of defending herself instead of a hobby and finds it tedious at times

…so due to the nature of absol and that, they aren't as fond of battling as the usual league challenger. ava and scarlet had to convince them to give it a try

voice can be monotone at times, usually when depression is kicking their ass

they're semi nocturnal- their internal clock is a few hours later than the usual person's so it's harder for them to sleep until it's really late.

as you can tell, sara has a lot more facts. this is mostly because i didn't write down every single idea for nia and rhea like i did for them, and some details may have been lost to time and tumblr void.

as a bonus, here's one more not so serious fun fact: if rhea and sara were in the same game as companions, i think they could work as a ship. it'd be kinda cute.

4. The best ship you've written for: Probably not a surprise, but I really love how you write Intruloceit (of any nature! whether it's pre-romantic, polyam, focusing on two in particular, etc.)! You've just got such a good grasp of the characters and what makes their dynamic so interesting. You are very skilled at picking up on their vulnerabilities and soft spots around each other, your stories always warm my heart <3

6. Something I remember vividly from reading one of your fics: Gosh there are so many to choose from! But okay, one that comes to mind is the moment when Remus meets Logan in How It All Began. This has definitely been the first, most bewildering meet-cute I've read with these two- I love it SO much! The ending of that first chapter had me saying 'WHAT' out loud XD It was honestly great, and I really liked how you incorporated the ordeal into the story in a way that worked so well. Oh, and one more moment I remember, has gotta be when Janus and Remus come home to find Logan when he's home alone during Christmas in You're Not Alone... My heart, that scene <3<3<3

8. What I like the most about your writing: Again, there's a lot I like about your writing. But if I had to name one thing now, I would say the character dialogue. You always manage to write conversations in a way that's so natural to them, and smooth, and descriptive and emotional and it carries your stories forward wonderfully. It makes them easy to read and compelling to keep reading. I love how you incorporate your dialogue into your worldbuilding as well. I think of it as one of your trademarks <3

And I am most confident in my dialogue, so I'm happy that it comes across well! I struggle with more descriptive writing, especially since I'm not much of a visual thinker, so picturing the characters actions in a scene is hard for me... But I'm learning with every story 😉

i'll answer the other stuff in the og chain; this one's juuuuust gonna be the sokeefitz angst fic lol.

basically: au (that's technically canon compliant, esp since the series isn't over? idk man don't ask) where like the shadowflux echoes in (fanon) fitz's knee, the echoes in his heart end up developing into a chronic condition. but the heart echoes are a significantly bigger threat to his health, like in canon (we don't ever see him get wiped out from the pain in his knee, but we do see him get wiped out from his heart echoes going haywire. there's examples throughout flashback of what i'm talking about). a year or two after canon ends (i'm approximating fitz'll be 18 or 19), livvy and elwin sit him down and tell him that from what they can see, they doubt he'll be able to live past 100.

they tell him that they'll do everything they can to make that statement false, but it falls on ringing ears.

from there, the premise would mainly be exploring how fitz would learn to manage his emotions to keep his heart echoes in check as best as he can - particularly anxiety and anger - plus him learning to accept that he's gone from having a shot at being a famous ancient to bring pride to the vacker family, to an elf that's become the closest to mortality that one can get. and ableism in the lost cities too, because i think realizing that a lot of the people he looked up to when he was younger valued him less as a disabled person would be a good motivator to break away from the golden boy mold and become who he actually wants to be, whoever that is.

and then there's also learning to accept almost-mortality through sophie's unique perspective on it, and helping her accept almost-immortality. slowburn exes to lovers on that front, through the power of - as keefe dubbed it in the books - cognate rawr. i'm also thinking this would be set in level 7 for fitz, so he could be roommates w/ keefe and have an '(unofficial) ex (childhood) best friends to lovers' arc.

sokeefe would be established already in this, but have a conversation fairly early on the fic where they're like 'ummm so i actually haven't moved on from fitz and it's freaking me out-' 'omg SAME' and then help each other figure out they're bi and polyam (that would be a side plot of its own, because, like. you can't do that in one scene lmao). and then once they'd reached that conclusion they'd be like 'hey so you wanna see if we can flirt our way into getting fitz to join our relationship?' 'worth a shot, sounds better than endless pining'.

ofc fitz is super dense though so he doesn't see keefe's advances as flirting until the obliviousness starts getting ridiculous, and he makes up ten million platonic excuses for sophie's actions because we broke up, there's no way she still sees me like that anymore - not when she has keefe the way she does. because as an aro i would do that in his situation and i have decided he's aro-spec <3 but they all get it together eventually. and get a cottage somewhere and fitz gets to be a baker and they just. have their happily ever after.

uuuuuuuuntil fitz is on the cusp of turning 100 and dies. because i'm evil. and i want to explore how much worse keefe's oh my god please don't leave me please please please i'd do anything to make you stay complex would get if he lost a lover and the situation was out of his control. and how much it would differ from sophie's acceptance. and how sophie's acceptance could turn into world-crushing anger and stuff after she stops feeling the need to stay strong for keefe.

and then maybe how much worse the whole please don't leave me alone please i'll do ANYTHING ANYTHING ANYTHING JUST STAY STAY STAY would get if sophie died centuries after fitz from some mission and keefe was truly on his own. just after he started feeling solid about having her in his life for a long time after the present. if i'm feeling particularly cruel by the end.

(there's a lot of scenes that made go OWOWOWOW that my brain conjured up, but. those stay in my brain until i write them. no spoilers :) also ik i'd need to do a lot of research on heart conditions to make fitz's arc more accurate to real life because even if shannon doesn't care about medical accuracy, i do lol.)
