I've been busy and haven't had much time to craft....and then hit art block after working on the same piece over 3 months. So, I asked my friends to challenge me in making something and the prompt was DIM SUM.
I may have gotten carried away trying to use up all the mixed scrap clay 😅 (not pictured- 2 bowls of wonton soup)
One of the things I enjoy making is miniature flowers out of polymer clay. There's something magical about lots of tiny flowers, not just one or two, a bunch.
Today's beast is a Kakapo,a severely endangered parrot, but a story of hope too. They have a whole team working with them, and these fluffy birds are keeping steady. :)
If you'd like a bird, please check out Bittythings and Beasts.
ID: two gifs of a person holding a walnut shell, with a hinge attaching the two halves together. they open the shell to reveal a small owl that might be carved from wood, nestled in a small amount of moss inside the walnut. the person closes the shell again.
I made a miniature garden for the mouse named Ms. Fisuna and her pet cat! They're safely housed inside a glass dome. Mouse, cat, and the garden are hand made out of polymer clay by me. The lilac bush in the garden is flocked with miniature greenery. This tiny scene is available in my shop: https://truenoir.art/fisuna-mouse-and-cat-polymer-clay-figurine/
