listen i love getting any type of bi/pan/omni rep in anything i watch or read but one of my personal requests is to give us some more mspec characters that do not know how to flirt or aren't dating anyone or are just so fucking awkward!!!! just because we're into multiple genders doesn't automatically mean we're smooth!!!

There are more LGBTQA+ people nowadays than there were before, but it has nothing to do with it being a "trend" or being a "choice" like homophobes/transphobes convince themselves, it's literally because of population.

In 1950 there was 2.5 Billion people in world population, we just hit 8 Billion. There's literally more of EVERYBODY now than ever because there's never been this drastic of a spike in population before.

So yes, there are more of us, but it's because of population, not because we're following some "trend".

Your child is actually non-binary.

Your child is actually asexual.

Your child is actually queer.

The easiest thing in the world should be loving and accepting your child.

Happy pride everyone!

So... I decided to do something for Pride Month. For every day of the month I have picked a flag and "drawn" a corresponding character based on the palette.

If I have made any mistakes please feel free to comment, I will be glad to try and fix it. Or at least remember it for next year :)

I hope you enjoy my month of posting every day after taking like five months off!

Major Disclaimer: I did NOT do any of the drawings. I merely found a base on google or Pinterest. The only thing that belongs to me is the design (except the flag as a pallet and BG, of course.) Sorry if this makes you enjoy it any less.

Pride Month 2023: Day 4

A.K.A: Day 4 but done on day 5. I'm slowly catching up with the dates.

Character: Mikey (No not Mikey Way)

Mikey is an athelitic extrovert, though from the drawing of him you might not think he is an extrovert. The context of the drawin is he has just come back from the gym, and is now waiting for the bus to go home. Mikey is the school captain and everyone looks up for him. He is a very good and strong leader and he knows when someone is being fair or unfair, which is why people always get him to setle debates or arguements. He doesn't just side with the person who he likes better, he sides with the person he thinks is right, therefore him being very fair. While he can be competive, he doesn't complain too much when he loses a game or something, he just tells himself he'll do better next time.

Cat: Has no name. Mikey just calls it The Cat This cat just follows Mikey around while he is walking to the bus stop and then waits next to him while he is waiting for the bus to come. Once Mikey leaves, no one knows where the cat goes back to. No one knows if it is a stray or someones pet. No one knows why it only goes to Mikey.

Though Mikey looks like he doesn't care about the cat, he really does. His parents won't let him have any pets, so the cat is the closest he will get. He doesn't feel like it needs a name, mainly because he sucks at naming. One day the cat didn't show up and Mikey panicked for a little bit thinking it had died or something. Little does Mikey know that the cat also have small panic attacks when he doesn't show up on holidays, weekends or when hes staying at home.

hi can we please get some more canon bi4bi representation?? like, the only examples i can think of are:

ashlyn and big red from hsmtmts

korra and asami for legend of korra

the book "never ever getting back together" by sophie gonzales (which i got from a blind date with a book and read in a night i recommend it if you like ya and reality tv in books, it's not super scathing but i really enjoyed it)

these are the only three that came to my mind. these characters are all (canonically) cis. all but one of these characters are women. there are a lot of bi people in the world. we date. we date each other. but i can only think of a small number of bi characters, let alone bi characters who date people who are also bi. i don't even care if they're endgame or not. i just want them to be there.

anyway, if y'all have any recommendations for stories that have canon bi4bi couples in them please let me know i'm desparate

I wasn’t originally going to colour this, I prefer it without, but I was bored and thought why not.

I wanted to mess around with the concept of parallel universes in which the cannon story can be changed. I like the idea of the cannon world and then a good and bad universe. This being the good world where things are perfect and everyone gets their happy ending.

these three would have been happy in this world, unfortunately that’s not the cannon they live in and there’s a lot of suffering ahead of them before things start looking up. wish I could let them have this but what’s done is done and I like the dark emotions it puts into the story 😩👌

I think we need more represantation of bi+men in general but also bi+ men in Heterosexual relationships. I really can't think of any media example of a bi+ man in a straight relationship. I don't think this because I think we need more queerbashing but because it would fight against the stereotype that bi+ men are just closeted gay men. They are not. Their identity is fully valid as it is and fully unique as it is but they are only ever shown in homosexual relationships which leaves out a big part of the identity. The part that they can also fall in love with every other gender that there is. They are basically just shown as gay men.

I know a lot of bi+ men struggle with the image that they are just gay men and have to behave like that to validate their identity. Showing bi+ men in heterosexual relationships while not leaving room for speculation about their queer identity would be a good way to combat this prejudice.
