Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham (2001) is a cult Hindi movie (Hindi, not Indie, enunciate the H). If you haven't watched it yet, run!
One of the main characters, Pooja, is a university student who is really, really, really into fashion. It makes sense, then, that when she first appears on the screen, she is literally surrounded by fashion magazines.
Next to her lay 8 magazines! All from a variety of publications and not even a duplicate. I'm impressed! Tracking them all down took me a good 2 hours, tho...
Some parameters:
The movie was shot starting on 16 October 2000 and was released in India on 14 December 2001.
The movie is set in both India and the UK, with this scene, in particular, being set in London so I'm assuming most of the magazines will be UK edition.
Ok, now we are ready to start.

This is not, in fact, an Harper's Bazaar issue, because Harper's Bazaar UK didn't exist at the time! According to Wikipedia: "In November 1970, New York City-based Hearst Communications amalgamated it with Queen magazine (which dated from 1862) to form Harpers & Queen. [...] In March 2006, it was renamed Harper's Bazaar, bringing it in line with its international sister titles."

Harpers & Queen - March 2001

Vogue UK - April 2001

.
In case you need a recap:
Harpers & Queen - May 2001
Cosmopolitan UK - June 2001
Harpers & Queen - March 2001
Tatler - August 1998
Elle US - June 2001
Vogue UK - June 1998
Harpers & Queen - April 2001
Vogue UK - April 2001
This tells us that this scene was shot during of after June 2001.
Most of the magazines are from around that time, but two of them are from 3 years before, 1998! I wonder how they found them? It's not like you can waltz in any store and get 3 years old fashion magazines!
And most importantly, a US edition of Elle?? Of the issue of that same month? How?? They didn't shoot in the US at all!

Deepam Puja Oil, used in Hindu religious rituals and ceremonies, fuels the traditional oil lamps (deepam). This blend typically combines ghee (clarified butter) and sesame oil, and may include camphor, sandalwood, and various herbs and spices. The oil sustains the wick, usually made of cotton or natural fibers, and the resulting light symbolizes divine knowledge and wisdom. It's often offered to deities during puja (worship) ceremonies.

In the softly lit ambiance of Das's clinic previously Shantabhai memorial charity Hospital, Pooja, undercover inspector, played the role of the intrigued girlfriend, wishing to unravel the mystery surrounding Das and his late-night visitor, who might be Deva. With a smile, she sat on the patients chair, her gaze fixed on Das, who was absorbed in sorting through medical files in his desk.
Inspector Bharadwaj had said it must either be Das who saved the injured Deva or one of his men, which seemed unlikely as Deva was spotted alone.
"So, Das, you've been here for a while, right? There must be some interesting stories from your patients," she inquired, her tone feigning innocence.
Das, glancing up from the paperwork, nodded, a subtle warmth in his eyes. "Oh, you won't believe the things I have seen."
Leaning in, Pooja probed further, her curiosity a carefully crafted facade. "Anyone particularly interesting or... mysterious?"
A flicker of hesitation crossed Das's face, but then it cleared, and he chuckled. "Oh, absolutely. There was this one elderly gentleman who insisted on telling me about his adventures during his youth. Quite amusing, really."
Pooja leaned in, her expression eager. "Adventures, you say? He must have been quite a character. What sort of adventures?"
"He claimed he was a secret agent during the war, had me on my toes with his tales of espionage. Turns out he used to be an author and wrote military thrillers."
Pooja laughed, a sound that hid her true motives. "That's hilarious! Any other interesting cases?"
Das, drawn into the conversation, shared tales of eccentric patients with unique life stories. Pooja steered the dialogue, maintaining an air of innocence while attempting to extract information about Deva.
While sifting through patient records, Das's attention was caught by a peculiar case. "There's this gentleman who's convinced he has a different disease each time he visits," he shared. Pooja leaned in, faking interest. "Hypochondriasis," Das chuckled. "He reads about a condition and suddenly thinks he has it. Last week, he had polio; the week before, nail cancer."
As Das delved into tales unrelated to Deva, Pooja maintained her facade, concealing her true intentions behind a mask of genuine interest. The clinic, a silent witness to this, held the untold secrets of its occupants, with Das guarding the truth about the gangster in their midst.
