❤: How long have you been RPing?

since i was thirteen! on tumblr, though, i must've started at around fifteen or sixteen.

☠: Who is a muse you would want to play?

bruh i HOPE this is the correct emoji bc somehow it looks very different on my desktop, but! i have exactly four (4) characters i would want to write right now, and im gonna ramble about all four of them actually bc if i dont i will explode <3 more info under the cut!

two of them are canon character actually! it's widget and poppet murray from the n.ight ci.rcus, a book that's a huge inspiration for mr. gilmore's magic hour circus but also one that i felt never developed its characters as well as the circus itself. the only character i truly liked was widget, bc he had a bit more personality than the rest of them---and even then, i felt like his character could've been so much more. the book focuses a lot more on aesthetics than it does on characters, and while the concept of these two---a pair of red-headed twins in a monochromatic circus; widget, born a few minutes before midnight, can read a person's past, and poppet, born after midnight, can see the future---is cool as hell, they're still severely underdeveloped. in short i just want to write them bc i wanna see them fully fleshed out ok avjzbjsbjx

another character i would write is an oc, zac elorr! he's a screenwriter and actor from a fictional island chain ruled by entities called "the muses", who bestow magic upon their people in exchange for their devotion. his whole thing is that he's lost the special magic he used in his plays that made him so well-known and is perpetually having a crisis. literally the only thing stopping me from writing him is the fact that he comes from a fictional world and it would be difficult to interact with modern day muses lmao. i still love him dearly tho!

finally i have a babie muse i used to rp on tumblr a long time ago and that's nell!! she's like eight and she has opinions on so many things. somehow the sweetest girl in existence AND the biggest ball of salt you've ever met. she writes poems for people she dislikes and straight up hands them over to read. she's fantastic and writing her had been SO much fun.

Not necessarily a backlog papercraft, but still on the backlog! Dropping this super fun illustration made for the book tin in Illumicrate's The Night Circus 10th Anniversary collection box in collaboration with @erinmorgenstern , featuring Marco, Celia, Poppet and Widget! I'm already a super fan of doing artwork for these tins, because the interactivity of there being an outside/inside or before/after with the lid offers so much opportunity for storytelling. With the previous DOSAB tin, we were able to mimic the setting of Brimstone's shop literally acting as the door between worlds. Here, we have Marco welcoming guests into Celia's tent, sneaking her a rose while she waits on the inside. On the back, Poppet and Widget are seated on the main circus clock, one looking forwards, the other backwards. The spine shows a transition from the Bonfire to the Wishing Tree.I seriously can't get enough of these tins, I use them for everything! 🧡✨😩
