I finally finished this piece last night for the upcoming holiday crafting season as I really needed some tool boxes to carry my equipments in. The Felt house here is made specifically for sewing and felting tools like Miss Stabitha Turtle. I'm also hoping if I'm able to find this, perhaps have it also carry some jointing needles if the house is big enough (Those are the nightmare needles thanks to how long they are.) This is what the Sewing house looks like on the inside <3 There are four heart patches for needle/long pins holding on the four sides of the house. On the roof insides are pockets to hold bigger items like buttons or embellishments with the nice Silhouettes of the Foxlings sewn on there X3 Once I have the comic up tonight, my weekend will be focused on making the Meat Wool Alchemy Lab toolbox for the non sewing equipments like clay or dyes.

💐 Buy Mode: Snapdragon Rug

A while back, @snapdragoned received a WCIF for this pretty floral rug, but no one seemed to know where it came from. I found the original texture online and decided to remake it myself because I wanted it in my game. While I was at it, I made some quick recolors using my new color palette, and since I liked how they turned out I figured I'd share them!

I've made default replacements for cfbodydressbridesmaid and cfbodydressflowergirl using @deedee-sims' conversion of 3t2 Lil Sophisticate With Bow. I couldn't really decide which dress I wanted to replace so I did both. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But! I did spice it up a little with a shoeswap, so both defaults use their original shoes. Colours are from Poppet's Memories palette.

Hey! The song name I picked for this today is a typical period situation. But worry not, your sims can now have some comfort with this set of handy thingies! They're all purely decorative, though, but it's the thought that counts.

I've been feeling like there's not nearly enough menstrual products for simmies in TS2 so I kept thinking that I should learn to make objects and convert something. Wasn't until ages after that I randomly stumbled upon Sulainey's set and fell in love. It's really cute! That's how I converted my first object ever - a box. And a bunch of other stuff afterwards.

I thought that it would be a good addition to the set to make some hot water bottle recolors, because I'd never seen any at all and I think this is a very cool thing to own. Don't use a Pepsi bottle filled with hot water like I used to and let your sims get the real thing and live happily. Especially since it comes in cute Poppet colors (as well as a couple accidental new shades made with the same actions).

Everything is compressed and comes with descriptions. I also made a tiny edit to the ATS2 mesh, making the thumbnail appear slightly bigger than the original so that it's easier to pick a color. Hope everything works well in your game and you enjoy it!

I’ve made another CEP extra, this time for the Tinkle Trainer 6000 or more commonly known as the base game potty! I thought it would be cute if the seats could be recolored separately and now they can.

All your previous recolors for the potty will still work, but the seat is a different subset now so you’ll need new recolors for it. That’s where I come in, I’ve made a few to get started. All 10 Cluedo Colors and 15 of Poppet’s colors. I have no idea what palette they came from but they're from their Nursery recolors of the potty (and other items). The matching potty recolors from the Cluedo colors are found here.

To install the CEP Extra:

My Pride post this week is about facial hair...and then some. Beards, mustaches, sideburns, etc are generally associated with men and masculinity, but that's a fairly surface view. Almost everyone has some amount of hair on their face. We're mammals. Being fuzzy is kinda our thing. Hormonal levels and genetics can make that hair thicker or darker on anyone. Today's post takes @simstralia's unisex facial hair and expands on it, giving your sims a broader variety of fuzz for their faces. Like last week, I have more to say after the download.

First, I took the non-meshed beards from @krabbysims' Poppet V2 recolors of @withlovefromsimtown's Beardly set and enabled them for UF as well as UM. Now ALL sims teen and older can use them. Then, I made a few lighter, wispier edits too. They were made especially for sims just beginning transition, just starting puberty, or getting a bit fuzzier as they age. You can see a WIP preview of some of them here.

I wanted to have Body Shop previews for this, but work has been a little more involved than usual this week. The timing didn't work out. I'll try to add them in when I can.

Keep in mind, I only did the ones that don't require meshes. I'm not that confident meshing anything other than clothes and now is not the time to try anything new. Maybe I'll do the meshed beards eventually. Dunno.

And now for my additional thoughts...

The "bearded lady" used to be a sideshow act, something to be gawked at, and I don't think we've come far enough from that. Women and AFAB people having facial hair is still something many people feel comfortable mocking. That can cause a lot of misery for cisgender women who have more facial hair than they'd like, and it can endanger the lives of trans people who have facial hair, wanted or not. Bigots always feel threatened by people who defy the status quo, and they're empowered when it's not seen as socially acceptable for women and AFAB people to have facial hair.

This isn't just a trans issue, of course. PCOS and other medical conditions can cause darker, thicker facial hair. So can genetics. So can old age. Some shave it off, some accept it, some love it. Frida Kahlo made hers part of her unforgettable and undeniably feminine image.

I really wish I could grow a beard or mustache. Not enough to take testosterone, because I don't really want the other changes that would cause. I deeply envy bearded femmes, because that's my ideal. I want to "do both", and defy the binary. I could probably buy something to glue on, but my skin is sensitive to the point of panic. Simply existing gives me a rash. I also know there are people who might kill me for breaking stupid cultural rules like that. I want to be a gender rebel and look like I imagine myself, but I also don't want my loved ones to suffer if bigots harmed me. I'm in a strange limbo, not really closeted, but also not really feeling able to be myself. I know plenty of nonbinary people share this limbo with me.

I drew a really basic mustache on before going to a drag show last week, but it melted. 😂 I wound up wiping it off on the way to the bar, and not bothering to draw it back on. The drag show, which would be illegal in some other states in the US, was so much fun. It was all drag kings, trans masc, or nonbinary performers. As dark as things are right now, events like that give me a bit of hope. Seeing other people gleefully breaking gender norms was something I needed more than I realized.

Again, my hope is that someday we can all just be ourselves and no one will feel like they have the power to punish others for not being what they see as normal. That's the dream, everyone being safe to be themselves.

How to Properly Make Afterglow's Black + BONUS Colours for Brows & Facial Hair

Here is a little tutorial for people that want to recolour in Afterglow !

Why is this happening?

Afterglow's Black is the same Black from Poppet. If you ever recoloured using Poppet, you would know that the base used for recolours is grey. The base for Afterglow is called volatile because that is the base colour for all of Pooklet's iconic colours. Running it over the volatile blond creates this ruddy-brown colour, we need to automatically make the volatile base grey.

How can I fix it?

Download the photoshop actions for Afterglow

Open up the black swatch and click the circle button at the bottom to begin recording. This will add an extra step to the action.

Press Control+U to bring up the Hue/Saturation menu and slide the saturation all the way down.

There should now be a new step to the black swatch that says Hue/Saturation. Click the square button to end the recording. Bring your new step up to the very top like in the first image.

That's too many steps, is there an easier way?

I highly suggest you make an attempt because it will automatically make your base grey. But if you really don't want to do that, you can desaturate your base and run the black swatch over it.

PLUS BONUS COLOURS FOR BROWS AND STUBBLE

Here is an incredibly scuffed colour palette for the eyebrow and facial hair colours for Afterglow. You colour-drop from this and paint it over the eyebrows you are recolouring.

Darker, root based colours for brows n stubble make it stand out more compared to just running the colour action over it. Here is Maxis's beards and stubble recoloured in Afterglow.

anyways lol ok so i think my favorite sin design is definitely strive, though that may be because it's what introduced me to his character and a big part of the reason i got attached to him in the first place? since i really liked his strive design when he was announced :] i think the colors and visual balance are really nice, and i like the way the saddle bags and the coat around his waist look a lot

BUT!!! there are definitely some parts of his previous designs that i like!!! i like the more white and blue color palette of xrd and i think the rolled up flag works really well when he has a more detailed outfit!!! i also appreciate that he just fully has his tits out there, like he didnt get top surgery for nothing LMAO

id also like to point out vastedge as an honorable mention, even though its super similar to overture and xrd's designs i do really enjoy the way they have his hair in that game i think its a lot of fun

but yeah as i mentioned earlier sin's design and gimmick was definitely a big part of why i was drawn to him, i thought the flag aesthetically looked really cool and that his generally simple moveset at the time was really good for me just getting into more traditional fighting games. once i learned about his story though i think that was the nail in the coffin honestly, i just truly truly love how he impacts the narrative (blah blah yes poppet we've all heard the essay about sin and kindness WELL TOO BAD IM NEVER GONNA STOP SAYING IT)

🎨 Color Palette - Academia Plus

I've been working on streamlining my downloads folder, and I think I've finally landed on a color palette that I want to use for most recolors I make in the future.

This is mostly pulled from the Byrdie: Academia color palette by honeycuts (deactivated), hence the name. It also uses some colors from their Accents & Prada palettes, and one lone pink color from @poppet-sims Lonesome palette.

Since honeycuts is deactivated, I though it would be okay to upload in case anyone else wants it. There's a PNG and Photoshop swatch file included in the RAR. I'll be uploading something in this palette later today!

These are just some recolours of @rented-space‘s 3t2 Luxe Silk Pajamas, replacing tfbodypajamasclassic, yfbodypajamasclassic, afbodypajamasclassic and efbodypajamasclassic. They are all made to resemble the originals, using Poppet’s Memories palette. YF pajamas have been enabled for adults, and I added my add-on files to include missing recolours, so delete them if you have them.

Hey look! I figured out how to recolor clothes AND repository them! Or... at least I think I did? I mean, they seem to be working fine, and actually look decent enough to share.

So, here’s two tops for adults and teens, with all meshes included. They come in 3 recolors each, as shown above, using/editing colors from Poppet’s Lonesome palette.

They’re compressed, they���re tooltipped, etc. And as I mentioned above, just like the originals, you can choose to have the teen recolors repositoried to the adult files, or not.

Keep in mind, these are my Very First (Real) Clothing Recolors, so please let me know if there are any issues, thank you :)
