Alright guys! Was it acceptable/appropriate back then to call a 20 year old young man "a good boy" in Victorian England?

PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY
I'm finally reading this one, though I'm only in page 29.
And there are times when Lord Henry says shit and it's like "damn, that was good" but it's because he just blurts out whatever and expands for 2 whole pages in his own monologue.
Its like when they publish those tarot readings and add up 20 random things bc you will surely relate to at least one of them. I can't with his ass but I'm very much intrigued by his ass.
He lost me for a second and then he said something about Dorian charming him so much that he felt the need to talk to Dorian about Dorian, like??? Why is everyone so damn gay

The portrait of one Dorian Gray, painted by Basil Hallward.
Surely this portrait will remain beautiful for years to come :)
(The full series is below the cut for disturbing imagery)

Guido Reni, Saint Sebastian (1615)
He had a special passion, also, for ecclesiastical vestments, as indeed he had for everything connected with the service of the Church.
The orphreys were woven in a diaper of red and gold silk, and were starred with medallions of many saints and martyrs, among whom was St. Sebastian.
In the mystic offices to which such things were put, there was something that quickened the imagination.
