Happy National Tree Week in the UK!
Can Black Friday be green? It can if you go on a shopping spree at @jurassic_plants ! The average tree absorbs around 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of atmospheric carbon per year, so planting many trees on your property can add up to an positive impact on reducing your carbon footprint in the long term.
Here is my haul from the Black Friday sale at Jurassic Plants, one of my favourite online plant shops in the UK. Late autumn is a great time to buy seedling trees since the deciduous species are less likely to be damaged in transport because they have already shed their leaves and are dormant. In addition, the trees can be planted in larger pots so they are ready to start growing as soon as they break dormancy in spring. In a plant biology context, dormancy is a temporary period of slowed growth which usually coincides with the winter season. Dormancy can also occur in plants living in environments with designated dry seasons or other times of the year that are generally unsuitable for growth. For most deciduous trees, the trigger is falling temperatures and shorter day lengths.
This year, I welcomed the following species to my ever-expanding family of trees: Castanea sativa - Sweet Chestnut Acer sterculiaceum - Himalayan, Pungent Maple Zelkova serrata - Japanese Zelkova Zanthoxylum piperitum - Japanese Pepper Tree Vitex agnus-castus - Chaste Tree Toona sinensis - Onion Tree, Chinese Cedar, Chinese Mahogany Sorbus domestica - True Service Tree, Sorb Tree Liquidambar styraciflua - Sweet Gum Tree Ginkgo biloba - Maidenhair Tree Cydonia oblonga - Common Quince Cornus mas - Cornelian Cherry Cercidiphyllum japonicum - Toffee Apple Tree, Katsura Tree Cephalotaxus harringtonia - Japanese Plum Yew Aesculus glabra - Ohio Buckeye Aesculus californica - Californian Chestnut Acer tataricum subsp. ginnala - Amur Maple Acer monspessulanum - Montpellier Maple Acer cissifolium - Ivy Leaved Maple

“I want to write but”
I don’t have a pen. I don’t have paper or a notebook. When I do have a pen or a notebook, I don’t like the pen or the notebook. I don’t have a functioning keyboard for my iPad. And when I did, I didn’t write much. When I got a new one as an anniversary or birthday gift, it was not attachable. I’ll get a new one for Christmas…which is still another seven days away. For several weeks, months ago, I could have written when my old keyboard functioned. But I didn’t. I felt too tired often. Sleeping more didn’t energize me. Sadness doesn’t energize me. I have a laptop that functions but I don’t write because I hate the color scheme.
My forever lover impulse purchased it for me as a gift in the weeks he was dying. Guess what? He survived.
I don’t move.
But in a place where nobody can go, I’m miles away, years ahead. Where I’m safe. Where the world is mine, and I know how the script goes, or what will happen…Because it’s all in my head.
Nice girl. Mean bitch. Cries too much and then, one day, she wakes up and can’t feel at all. Disease. Detachment. Unauthentic. The doctor says I have to be authentic and reconnect to recover. As in, you can’t recover what isn’t found.  I’m sick because, when my world is in shambles, the first thing to go is myself. Defocused. Anxious. Too focused on one thought that won’t go away. Don’t ask. It’s always different. Still, also, always negative.
I cannot write because if I write, I will most likely be successful. I will be seen. All of my transgressions will be known.
My hair is oily. I’m fat and sleepy.I get told I’m skinny and look good, still look good, look even better, have finally filled out into my body (whatever that means because I was a full person in the first place.)
The dishes, wine glasses, forks, and knives are always dirty now.I was always on top of that. It made me feel better. Confident. Entertained. Focused. Calm. Watch out world, my kitchen is in order.
Sorry husband, I want to write but the dishes are dirty. Sorry husband for the dirty dishes, but I’m so sleepy.
Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow, I can try again.
Maybe tomorrow.
Maybe tomorrow, I won’t be sleepy. I’ll wash the dishes spotless and I’ll finally write.
I’ll write and make us rich as you asked of me. That’s if I can write, beautifully….Fuck that. Impactfully. (But I still wish I knew how to write pretty.)
In a place inside my head, I am safe and I am willing to write until I get there, but if I don’t have a pen, notebook, am demotivated, the dishes are dirty, my hair is oily, I’m sleepy, I can’t move forward. If I don’t believe I can get to the place inside my head because I’m grown, realize the place inside my head was made up by me, a sick, brilliant mind, I cannot type, I cannot pick up one of my pens and write in my new notebook. I cannot escape. I cannot move forward. I cannot write.
I am trapped inside my head. If I….If I cannot write.
So, maybe. Tomorrow.

My Progress - Week #8
Hello everyone,
It's time for another update on our journey with Evergreen Solutions. As we dive into Week #8, here's a look at how things are shaping up:
What's Working? We've seen some promising developments on the sales front this week. Our efforts to expand our client base and increase brand visibility have started to yield results, with a noticeable uptick in inquiries and bookings for our tree care services and parks maintenance. Additionally, our team's cohesion and collaboration have improved, leading to smoother operations and enhanced productivity.
What's Not Working? One challenge we've encountered is managing the increased demand while maintaining quality and efficiency. As we strive to meet growing customer expectations and fulfill orders promptly, we're facing logistical hurdles and resource constraints. It's a balancing act that requires careful planning and optimization of our workflows to ensure customer satisfaction without compromising on service quality.
How Do I Feel the Project Is Coming? Overall, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about the progress we're making. We've achieved significant milestones and overcome numerous obstacles along the way, but there's still much work to be done. The project is evolving at a steady pace, and I'm confident in our ability to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities as they arise.
What Are You Learning About Running a Business? Running a business is an ongoing learning process, and this week has been no exception. One key lesson I'm taking away is the importance of scalability and adaptability. As we experience growth and expansion, it's crucial to scale our operations effectively while remaining agile and responsive to market dynamics. I'm also learning the value of strategic decision-making and prioritization in maximizing profitability and sustainable growth.
What Are You Learning About Yourself? Reflecting on this week's experiences, I'm discovering newfound strengths and areas for growth within myself. I'm becoming more adept at handling ambiguity and uncertainty, embracing challenges as opportunities for learning and development. Additionally, I'm learning to trust my instincts and intuition as I navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship, gaining confidence in my ability to lead and make informed decisions.
That wraps up this week's update! Thank you for joining me on this journey, and stay tuned for more insights and updates.

Life isn’t complete without challenges. Whether we like it or not, this is the reality. They may seem like inevitable dilemmas, but they actually have a positive impact on our lives, too. The obstacles that we deal with help us become stronger and better in life. This holds especially true among those who hire psychiatric services in Maryland. They prevent life challenges from taking a toll on their quality of life.

"My reflection about social media"
Social media has become an integral part of modern society, revolutionizing the way people connect, communicate, and share information. With platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more, individuals can effortlessly stay in touch with friends and family across the globe, breaking down geographical barriers. This interconnectedness has given rise to virtual communities centered around shared interests, promoting a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
On the flip side, the pervasive nature of social media raises concerns about privacy. Users willingly share personal details, but this information can be exploited or misused. Instances of data breaches and the unauthorized use of personal data highlight the need for robust privacy measures and user awareness. Striking a balance between the convenience of connectivity and safeguarding privacy is an ongoing challenge.
Moreover, social media's impact on mental health has gained attention. The constant exposure to curated content and the pressure to conform to societal standards can contribute to feelings of inadequacy and anxiety. Cyberbullying is another dark aspect, emphasizing the importance of fostering a positive online culture and implementing effective anti-bullying measures.
The rapid dissemination of information through social media has both positive and negative consequences. While it facilitates the spread of awareness and mobilization for social causes, it also amplifies the rapid spread of misinformation. The challenge lies in promoting media literacy and critical thinking to enable users to discern reliable information from falsehoods.
Businesses leverage social media as a powerful marketing tool, tapping into vast audiences and engaging with customers directly. Influencer marketing has emerged as a lucrative industry, reshaping traditional advertising methods. However, the pursuit of likes and validation can create a distorted sense of self-worth, especially among younger users.
In conclusion, social media's impact on society is multifaceted. It fosters connectivity, enables information dissemination, and facilitates business growth. However, it also poses challenges related to privacy, mental health, and the spread of misinformation. Striking a balance between the positive aspects and addressing the negatives requires collective efforts from users, platform providers, and policymakers.
