Ok your answers are AMAZING. They have catapulted me in a Smarty-Pop mood. I'm not feeling too good so I was gonna save reblogging them later. But I knew I had to send this ask in at least.

On the ball! I tried to Google venetian style costumes for Smartass to see what would fit him best. Assuming I git the right time period, I can see him wearing this! Except in his colors and without the mask (and wearing the diamond he may or may not have stolen from a king before Doom hired them all)

I mean, with how flamboyant his suit is in the movie, I can imagine how his ballroom outfit would look. Good luck getting the other weasels into something this formal, though XD

And Poppy!! She's not only more low-key in general, she also has been starting to get worried about people finding our her identity as the run away lady too (Kitty worrying about people finding out her real identity has made Poppy wonder her own safety as well). So she wouldn't go too all out for her dress. This image was the best example I could find of what I imagine her wearing. Just make the sleeves a bit longer and change the color to a more light dusty rose (she would have just gone for plain white, if she wasn't trying to catch someone's eye ;)). From afar it may look plain, but up close you'd be able to see all the work and talent that was put in the dress.

Instead of glitter/jewels though, I'm thinking Poppy would have sewn in a more floral pattern? Oh! Maybe even sewn in actual fake flowers in the neckline? Diamonds are more Smartass' thing anyway XD

Can you imagine these two on the dance floor??? He's like a peacock with his apparel, but she's just as stunning with her simple yet elegant look ^^

Ok now that we have clothes out of the way; I'm just imagining these two looking at each other across the ballroom and just being stunned by what they see. Especially Smartass. People move between them, but they only have eyes on each other. Like- like when Sarah and Jareth saw each other during As the Workd Falls Down. Except Smartass' jaw is dropping XD (not that Poppy is so calm herself. She's got nothing but the sounds of her internal screaming echoing in her mind while trying to keep a cool front XD)

I can see Poppy taking the initiative and making her way to him! Even while he's busy elbowing Greasy for his comment XD If Kitty can go dance with that duke, then she can go ask Smartass if he'd like to dance ^^ But then that stupid knight that has been harassing her this whole time comes over to her and stops her, talking about how beautiful she looks- for a peasent- and expects her to come dance with him. Poppy doesn't want to, of course. The only eyes she wanted on her tonight were the bandit leaders! But he keeps cutting her off, and even tried grabbing her hand when she tried to just slip away.

Smartass sees this when he's done berating Greasy, and storms on over. Not caring if anybody sees because he's had it up to here with that knight now. He might not even bother with words at this point, he's that ticked off. While the knight is recuperating, Smarty grabs Poppys hand, gently despite the hard look in his eyes, and then walks away from the scene, and his patrol position that Doom assigned him, with her. Maybe he asks her himself for a dance, to which Poppy would reply "Yes" all happily and relieved.

Maybe during the dance, they open their hearts to each other more than before. Like Poppy asks him if he could ever love someone who runs from their past, and he asks her why she's so nice even to a rotten bandit like him.

But yeah, that's what's been in my head ever since you answered my ask XD I wish so so badly I had the energy to write this out or could just draw it.

And OOOOH that scene from Labyrinth is actually what I had in mind when I thought of Kitty in a dark fantasy AU! It fits Poppy too! Dark-haired maiden meets mysterious flamboyant man who's part of a magical world and seduces her even though he's on the corrupt end of the moral spectrum.

This is all really well thought out and yes, I am so imagining Smartass in that outfit!

i am being self indulgent i am doing this whole thing with just chucker. some chuckboose making a special appearance bc as you know all chucker is chuckboose in disguise. feel free to still send in numbers for other ships i am just Going Ham.

note that i’m mostly basing this off of our yet to be written church lives au so slight spoilers for that but like. not really. all you have to know is that it’s a post-13 au.

honestly probably neither. they’d both say something similar but i neither of them are very big on the “i love yous”. ESPECIALLY not when they’re angry. they’re much more likely to lash out than be sappy in an argument

2. What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

neither of them would really get manic? church is Dissociative King and tucker canonically has panic attacks so i think that’s how they’d react to nightmares. when he’s dissociating is like one of the only times he’s 100% open to and wanting affection so tucker would be like. giving him kisses and pats to ground him and calm him. meanwhile for tucker it’s like, church isn’t great at giving affection so it’s much more practical. giving him water and making him breakfast and throwing a weighted blanket on him. and obviously they both just. call caboose over for cuddles. caboose number 1 nightmare destroyer

i think tucker is more fashion conscious and is like. your clothes do not match my style. meanwhile church is just wearing whatever the fuck is in front of him. not to churboose but church is wearing caboose’s shit basically every day. big for him

When I watch interviews or any other SoD video, I get the impression that Jude is not happy that Johnny has been changed to Mads, or that he doesn't like Mads in general. During the premiere, I do not know if they took at least one photo together. What do you think?

While they didn't take photos together, I find this to be a stretch to say the least.

The promotion of this movie was scarce, so we got few interviews etc. Nevertheless, in everything we saw, Jude seemed very positive about Mads being cast and was really appreciative of the way he workd. Not to mention he hadn't worked at all with Johnny, so there wasn't even an issue of Jude having been used to an actor and feeling off about recreating an already established chemistry with a different person.

Overall I feel this is just speculation without precedent.

I love filler episodes too!! I think they're important in order to allow stories breathing room, specially if they have very intense themes, aside from that they're a perfect vehicle to explore characters that haven't been in the spotlight or different phases of the characters. In Naruto filler episodes are the main reason I fell in love with teams other than team 7, and even them, it was refreshing seeing them be silly or not have the stakes be as high as during the main story line! Sorry for the sudden rant and thanks for listening (?) 🌺

Filler episode’s are fun and give us so much more character development and just overall give us a breather from the main story

Filler gave us Anko choosing to leave Orochimaru behind, instead of what cannon gave us of Orochimaru ditching her

Filler gave us that iconic Kakashi vs Gai race scene, which was delightful and enjoyed by pretty much everyone. It gave us someone who saw Kakashi struggling with this new position he was going to be tossed into and who decided to show him their unending support and made us love Gai even more

Filler gave us the chunin exam’s that the rest of the Konoha 12 passed in and the story of Fuu, who is an amazing character who only really show’s up in the war as one of the 9 jinchurriki.

Filler gave us so much more story and i don’t really see why people shit on it all the time because it’s fun and light and just let’s us enjoy the character’s we love a bit more without high stakes workd ending fights

vent under the cut

at this rate i should probably make a seperate vent blog because of how oftsn i seem to be doing it lately but i yuess you've just git to bear with me. i think im going through withdrawals from my antidepressants and antipsychotics and everything hurts so much maybe tenfold from before i went on them. i can't believe i was prescribed what was practically only a half month trial of medication, not a refill; it feels taunting. it feels like, now that i have had the chance to function and feel like a normal person, that chance is now being stripped away from me completely for the rest of my life, as if to say that i was meant to stay miserable. it hurts it really hurts so much because i know in this state i cant be well enough to enjoy myself and live and be secure about myself and I can't be well enough to not exhaust my poor partner and drag them down with me because of it. And he means more to me than anything else om this workd. im just laid in bed fetal position waiting for sleep to save me from how in pain i feel right now. I’ve been obsessing about Winx Club once again so I made an oc! And this is an excuse to headcanon dump about the Winx Club world building!

I don’t really have a story in mind to explain all this but my idea was that magic users have a magical core, and the amount of negative or positive energy that core consists of determines what type of magic user you are. It’s different in every dimension, but in Magix, positive energy cores become magic users like fairies, and negative energy users are witches. Positive and negative cores do not determine the morality of a magic user, only where they draw power from. In season 2 during the cloud tower episode arc we learn that witches draw power from negative emotions and fairies from positive emotions, and so I am building upon that concept. Maybe in the magic workd it could be a political or societal prejudice, assuming all positive magic users do good and all negative magic users do bad.

But there more! Because magical cores are on a spectrum of positive and negative! Some magic users are assumed to be one magical core type, due to family trends and/or assumptions on how the child uses magic early in life. But later in life they find they prefer to use a different source of energy. Mirta, in this world is an example of this, transitioning from a witch to a fairy. She starts out as a witch before transferring to Alfea college, and (I don’t know which season) later she is seen in her fairy transformation.

Trapuka is in the process of transitioning from a fairy to a witch. As a Dryad, a near-extinct plant magic using species, she is assumed to be a fairy because plant magic is largely accredited to positive magical cores. However, Trapuka struggled trying to use positive magical energy in Alfea, where the teachers curriculum insisted she use positive emotions to fuel her spells. And so after months of paperwork Trapuka transferred to Cloud Tower, where as an outsider she and the audience would learn about the culture of Cloud Tower. We really only learn anything about Cloud Tower in that one episode in season 2 (as far as I know, I haven’t gotten past season 7).

Different techniques/habits and different locations determine whether a magic user is a fairy or witch, or wizard, or warlock, or mermaid, or siren, or nymph, etc. I’m choosing to allow any gender to be any type of magic user, so there will be boy fairies and girl wizards! In Magix the three school are just special cases that have all-girl and all-boy schools, and in other dimensions they have integrated schools.
